Just passing by and stop there 2 days ago, ordered a plain unsweetened latte & a veggie sandwich, both were over priced for the quality they are giving to the customers ! I would say latte was ok but the sandwich was total gross, it was oily and hard too bad :(

For such an expensive coffee (caramel mochiato) not a lot of love went into it. I was disappointed how the batista spilled my drink over the side and then dumped my drink into a new cup. All my foam layer was gone and I missed the best fisrt few sips of my drink. Friendly staff HOWEVER, The staff were soo busy they could hardly present top notch customer service. You could feel the stress coming off the employees. They need more support. I also found the menu behind the counter is not visible to most people in line. A menu should be closer to the door and line up area so customers can choose their order sooner rather than taking 3 minutes to decide and change their mind a million times at the cash. Things would go A LOT smoother if people could see the menu while in line.

I have been visiting this cafe and enjoying food etc. However, now I see that they have covered all the electric sockets within the store, making it impossible to charge your laptop and work. This place is not a cheap place. I choose to come here to enjoy the place. If I need to take away my food or cafe, there are many cheaper places that I can buy. Making it impossible to work on a cafe is: - First of all against Vancouver's lifestyle - opportunistic, as it says just buy food and go. - Not customer friendly, as taking away our options. I can understand allocating a part of the store for working, but cancelling overall is not acceptable. I am sure I will be visiting here much less after now, if at all... Note: attached picture was an active socket until very recently, Shame on you.

I'm torn between 3 or 4 stars. It is definitely a nice coffee shop which is as much a restaurant as a coffee shop. Down side: coffee was sour... not my thing, but some people like it. Also it was a bit expensive; but again I don't blame businesses with relentless minimum wage hikes by the govt and high rent costs. Up side: They have a giant pizza oven. They make thin crust gourmet pizza. Very fresh and made with care. It was a bit $$$ though.

Try as I might I just cannot recommend this place when there are at least two other options in Ambleside that are far superior. These guys make eternally sour coffee, even with good quality beans, probably as a result of overextraction or too long exposed to steam in the machine. Their drip coffee is only consistent in that it is watery. Some baked goods are OK but all are quite unreasonably overpriced. If you'd like a better americano I would recommend either Bean Around the World (all of 100 metres away) or Coffeebar (about 2 blocks away). Both have better baking, too.

Hi, since Covit 19 happened I had not go anywhere. I am 92 years Disable old lady. My kind daughter took me today from my Burnaby residence to West Vancouver Ambleside Park. I ask her to take me for coffee. As soon as we sat at the coffee table the associate came and raised unknown issue and created very unpleasant atmosphere. I didn’t expected this kind of treatment, I don’t appreciate this especially she said not friendly way that they won’t be able to starve us in future. It’s not nice.

We had a latte and peanut butter cookie here after a crabbing session at Ambleside Park. The latte was excellent. Good espresso. Awesome foam, nice latte art. The cookie was big and moist and yummy. Their free water was mint and lemon infused, which my SO loved. Love the decor - the vertical framed succulents, the big landscape drawing, etc. Would give 5 stars if prices were a little lower and the staff bused (take away dirty cups on tables from previous customers, wipe the tables, redistribute chairs, etc) the cafe area more frequently.

Has a great location. Lots of free parking around and free internet. Nice place to study or read books. They have table lamps for the seats next to the window. Coffee tastes good and their pastries are delicious too. They do not have the same pastries every day and if you go around 3 or 4ish there might not be any chocolate almond croissants left and that one is a recommended one.

This little café right by Ambleside Beach is incredible to help provide a tasty treat or snack and refreshing sip of any coffee shop beverage during your beach day (or any ordinary day) out! The service was incredible (the lady behind the till was very sweet!) and also very quick. Their food and drink are absolutely delicious and bonus you can enjoy them in a stunningly designed modern style coffee shop with outdoor seating and a view of the beach. Its convenient placement facing the beach makes it easier for passer bys to find and get too and its closest to parking spots.

Gorgeous location, busy but not crowded, tasty, reasonably quickly served food. The service, though is up and down. The morning staff I found cheerful and polite, whereas the people who came on in the early afternoon were supercilious and grumpy. When I told a man I didn't want my sandwich toasted, he slapped it on a plate without ceremony without even taking it out of plastic, without another word. The woman who made my coffee served it in a mug with multiple drips and splatters on the outside, that made it look like someone had just drunk from it. Yes, it probably was from the machine, but it wouldn't have hurt to give it a quick wipe. I also wasn't impressed with the spilled coffee grounds beside and behind the counter that the servers were walking over. They were there in the early morning, and still there in the afternoon. It's a shame; otherwise I could highly recommend this location

Very busy, modern cafe, great for watching the many, affluent people with cosmetic surgeries performed. Nice southern exposed outdoor seating, albeit small, to lizard in the sun while catching a glimpse of the ocean. Coffee drinks are good. Pastries of good quality and tastiness will fill you up.

Located close to John Lawson Park and the seawall in West Van. I was told the coffee is great and wanted to try some. It was very busy on a Sunday afternoon, lots of space inside and outside for seating. They had several food options but I did not try any. I got an americano which only has two shots of espresso for both sizes (12 or 16oz). Slightly on the expensive side for items and the americano was average. Staff were busy and not in a great mood. Also I learnt that most of their coffee and espresso beans are just the same as JJ Bean.

Great location but crappy attitude ... asked for a single shot ($2.80) in a 12oz cup (so that I could add some milk to it) ... was told by a snide employee that they didn't do that because people just add milk to it ... so ordered a drip coffee ($2.50) in a 12oz cup and did effectively the same thing ... crappy snide attitude and lost revenue ... owners should rethink policy and who they hire as employees ...

This is my first time ever coming to this cafe as hubby has been raving about it over the years. We got Americano and a Mocha, my mocha was horrible. I asked for some mocha syrup to make it taste better, I couldn't even finish it. It definitely was not a good coffee. Hubby got the Duo sandwich its small but really quite flavorful, I got the Lumberjack wrap very small with zero flavour. I have to say I was definitely very disappointed with my experience at this higher end cafe. Even my hubby said they've have had a lot better days than today. It was not good and I personally would not be going back. Both sandwiches were quite small considering the amount you to pay and we both left there hungry. I personally do not recommend it. $$ ????

I also changed the monitor as a reminder. I saw that many people were bewildered on the credit card machine, which was a very poor experience. The clerk is also hard to be enthusiastic because of the busy schedule. The coffee is full of water. This is no longer a coffee shop belonging to the locals. Crema is the perfect spot to stop for coffee in the morning, a quick lunch, or a pizza and beer. I did not expect a wood fired pizza oven in a coffee shop, or that it would be the best pizza crust I have had in years. The pizza menu is limited but creative. I had the harvest pizza, a vegan friendly option, topped with artichoke hearts, red onion, fresh basil, mushrooms, red peppers, and just enough sauce to tie it together. The crust, however, was the star. It was uniformly brown with the right number of dark spots characteristic of wood-fired pizza. Each piece had the delightful crunchie outside and soft inside. The portion is right sized for one or two as a snack. I had the house draft Crema Pale Ale, served in a 12oz Mason jar with the pizza. It was pleasant with a mild citrus aftertaste. The staff is friendly and attentive for a counter service restaurant. The location is an added bonus with a view of Ambleside park and the Burrard Inlet.

To tell the truth its one of the only places in west vancouver that worth spending time and grabbing coffee from, but what disappointing us is that we just had the exact same sandwiched with the same packaging and coffee(JJ BEAN ROSTERS) in Papparoti Robson street for much much cheaper price. Its not fair to pay more for the same product only because here is West Vancouver.Cookies and Pastries be not for the day and not be fresh. I think they need to improve and renovate because if people have secondary option to go to in the area they will loose alot of customers. Customer service is good in the store and staff are helpful.

This is a small, very popular local’s hang out right across from the Ambleside beach walk so be prepared to wait for an open table during peak times. That being said, the service is super friendly and the family house cookbook for sale, lovingly presented on the entrance table, suggest the baked items will not disappoint. Correct- The delectable muffins, scones, and other treats offered here, along with perfectly presented coffee, ensure that coffee house devotees will keep coming back.

This place has some nice options and is a great location if you're at Ambleside beach or the seawalk but if there were more options nearby I would go elsewhere. It is very overpriced, even compared to other one off coffee shops (in general a small drink is the price of a medium elsewhere). It is often busy so expect a wait. Sandwiches take an exceptionally long time so I wouldn't recommend ordering one if you are in a rush.

An adorable cafe close to the water to grab some treats. The panini and lemon bar that I got was delectable. They also have their own cook book on sale in store! The sea wall is close by to walk off all the calories that you will consume so that was a huge plus for me.

Serving undoubtedly the best coffee in West Vancouver, Crema's friendly servers and delectable food only sweetens the deal. Can be very busy, but seating is rarely a problem and the staff move very quickly. They carry and serve very high quality coffees from a variety of producers, but avoid the pretense of many similar establishments in the city. Wherever you are in Ambleside, it's worth the walk.

OMG !!! So disappointing. After waiting for this place to reopen for months, we recently went back to try the pizza. Overpriced and made by two staff members more interested in chatting than preparing food. Felt like cafateria food at its worst. I've had better hospital food. Wow this place is wonderful, and connected to the same owners of Gastown's legendary Revolver (uber hipster slow bar). They croissants are amazing and worth the trip alone, though they are only available on the weekends and run out quickly. They serve coffee by Phil & Sebastian and JJ Bean. Have tried the Phil & Seb here which was on the acidic side. But really everything else about this place - ambience (gorgeous and beautifully appointed) and neighbourhood (beachy and relaxing) and pastries (made in house, delicious) that you can hardly fault them. Highly recommend.

Nice environment, the deserts are great, the tiramisu. There are parking spots in front of the cafe and you can enjoy a little walk to the beach. There are a variety of deserts that you can have with your coffee. The outside seating is bot too big, but if you are in luck, you can find a good table to enjoy your coffee with the ocean breeze.
