The team at BjornBar made it easy to order and pick up! I had bought some bars for gifts as well, and they were very accommodating with packing the bars in individual boxes (to avoid me having to do so myself)! They were very responsive on email, which is great customer service. They're not in my area, so I hadn't visited the shop before, but would definitely be back if I lived closer (they have other coffees, drinks and pastries), and for the bars on special occasions! We tried quite a few, my personal favourites were the Opera, Make-Up, Tiramisu, Lime and Spumoni Bars. Really tasty flavors and creative!

today i was in Bjorn bar coffee shop on Edgemont village and the girls i always seen over there, wasn't and looks to me new girls were working, i asked for one Blueberry pastries and one Moca with mixed with fresh Coco powder, first girl who got my order, so she forgot to put the note for the other staff which making my coffee and i saw several people will be served and they don't care about me and seeing i am standing there, then i said to the girl did u forgot me, she didn't say any excuse and continue to her work, afte again three more she made ready i asked the girl who got my order that did u forget to give my order to her she said yes, and again no excuse and didn't care, i am the regular customer of this coffee shop since they opened and i love them so much, many of the staff are working there, they r nice to people but today both these girls did to me this with no excuse even at the end when she made ready my coffee. i hope the owner will talk to them, i was trying to support them since beginning and brought many groupe of my friend over there and trying mostly to meet each other over there, so today i will only give they two star. i paid $9 and,,,,,,for that and my cop was size 12 with Blueberry pastries, i mean it was expensive and they did this attitude with me and all the time i was nice to them and i kept my temper in,

My first experience at BjornBar Bakery was abysmal. I went in for a simple coffee and maybe a snack, to sit on a chair and read a book. Although I was comfortable and was able to read, I was shocked at the service and the lack of logic used in serving me coffee and food. When I ordered an espresso I was given the coffee in a paper cup, and when I asked for a normal little espresso cup ( as I was sitting inside) I was told they can't offer me glass cup, cause of Cornholio-19. I was a bit annoyed at this, but I managed to drink their over-burnt coffee with a sog in my heart, and a smile on my face. Perhaps you guys should taste your own coffee, before you serve that putrid liquid to your customers. I understand that I am coming off mean here, but If I don't say it, then you won't know where to improve. Proper barista training is essential for a coffee shop. Now, when I went to order a little Spinach baked good, after paying at the counter, I was offered paper serviette or a paper bag to eat in!! The Federal Government of Canada nor does BC Provincial Government state anywhere in their mandates that restaurants cannot serve plates to customers. All restaurants have dishwashers !! Wash your plates after we are served food on them !! I don't want to eat hot baked goods on a piece of paper, as done on the streets of Calcutta !! You guys are just creating more garbage!! You guys should respond to this review with scientific proof showing that Covid is spread through plates, and that masks work. The CDC certainly doesn't have this info that I've seen. Looking forward to your response. Thank you.

Must on workout Saturdays or lazy Sundays. Signature meringues with coffee is my favorite. They are expending their menu constantly. Wish they expend in area too. Owner (and an awarded Montreal cook) comes out often and mingles with guests.

I came here all the way from White Rock area because of they were part of the Hot Chocolate Festival, I loved trying out one of their hot chocolate specials and I also tried one of their dessert bars and packaged salty c'bars. I enjoyed them both, plus the hot chocolate and I will hopefully come back here again some other time soon!

Dropped by to try the earl grey hot chocolate that’s a part of the hot chocolate festival! I really enjoyed the drink, truffles were amazing, earl grey flavour was subtle. Wished the drink was served at even hotter temperature! We also tried their savoury spinach feta roll, it was fresh and tasty. Valentines dark chocolate priced at 6$ was great. Would be back!

Yum!!! What a great find! We picked a few bars to try and were all delicious. Krispie bar - your typical Rice Krispie square topped with holiday sprinkles. Tiramisu bar - more cake-y than the rest but still retains the must have flavours in a Tiramisu. Lime bar - a bite of key lime pie with just the right amount of tartness. Wunda bar - strong peanut flavour. Almost like putting a spoonful of peanut butter in your mount. Lastly, Deep Dark Spicy bar - chocolate ganache with spice. The cinnamon really comes out but not so much the cayenne.

A hidden gem in North Van. What a nice place to have a good coffee, grab a sandwich or try one of their delicious sweets. The location has a maximum capacity of 42 and is always crowded. Therefore, it's not recommended for large groups.

8.95 for a medium turmeric latte (lattes come with espresso) and nut milk. It’s 6.50 max at Elysian and they have homemade milk too and use Blume as well. Deleted previous post in error, but shocking they think this its ok and want to keep it at this price. Baristas need more training. Sorry, but tried to discuss in person and issues ongoing.

Delicious pastries. Confusing service though. Came by a couple weeks ago on Family day, and on the window it says closed at 6 on holidays, but at 5:30 the girl outside said " Sorry! we are closed! " I pointed out it says Six on holidays on the window.. she laughed and said haha ya no we're closed. Bummer, my chonky self wanted one of their tasty pastries.

I feel like a tourist in my own neighborhood when I come here, as it has a charming, European feel. Large selection of freshly baked/prepared pastries, treats, cafe beverages and comfort food. Their croissants and pastries are flaky & crunchy on the outside and buttery/soft in the inside. The bars are rich and satisfying with many fun flavours to suit every taste. My favourites are the cheese croissant, chocolate bomb (doughnut made with croissant dough), the PB & J bar and their daily quiche. Also noteworthy are the crunchy house made granolas with four different “seasons” to choose from.

The most unique, high quality, coffee shop/bakery in the city. If I want to treat someone or pickup pastries or desserts for a special occasion to impress (including work events) Bjorn Bar is my go to. Having said that, it’s my go to daily shop as well. They have a great selection of sandwiches, gourmet comfort foods and soups. I’ve also had them cater a few of our work events and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. The staff are great and vibe in the shop is upbeat and trendy. They have one of the best, if not the best, roof top patios in North Vancouver.

I'm amending my prior review as yesterday I was paid a surprise visit by Tamera's aunt Jackie (sp?) who it was a delight to meet, who told me Tamera had replied to my review but hadn't heard back from me (I hadn't any notification to this effect) and was discomfited to hear of the feedback I had posted about. That she had, after reviewing the situation and identifying the interaction with my wife, specifically discussed the situation with her staff in an effort to correct against any future issues. When Jackie was told of the situation asked Tamera if she might be able to address my concerns personally. As it turns out Jackie is the mother of my employer's childhood best friend and is someone about whom he speaks very highly of and as I found out, is quite charming and witty as well as a conscientious ambassador. It also turns out I'm not that hard to find! In any case Jackie and I discussed the circumstances that led to my review at some length during which time she told me how not being able to address my concerns with me directly had put Tamera at some pains as she had been given no recourse by which to apologize or mend fences and so had accepted Jackie's offer to pay me a visit. Tamera had also given Jackie an enormous bag of delicious treats for my wife and I which is a lovely gesture and which - as snarky as my review was - was probably undeserved and most gracious... I did share some of them with my coworkers who probably deserve them more than I! In truth I had been most upset by the thought that I might have to abstain from having Tamera's ridiculously good macaroons... Needless to say I know that just as in any endeavour including in the service industry in which I serve, all feedback is to be valued if only to offer a chance to improve, and after Jackie's visit I'm more than satisfied that in future visits to Bjorn Bar the service will be just a spectacular as Tamera's baking and I will once again be happily recommending Bjorn Bar to anyone. Thank you Jackie and Tamera from both my wife and I. Best croissant in 100km!

Wow. Just amazing. The cinnamon roll was to die for. And they make a fantastic cappuccino. Strong coffee, exactly how it should be. Seating can be limited during busy times but there is outside seating when the weather cooperates.

Nice little place when you walk in, but the staff need to know what is in each cake/bar. I asked the girl behind the counter if somethings had nuts in them as I have an allergy to them and she told me the ones that didn't. Unfortunately the one that I purchased and was told had no nuts did, I ended up having to taking some medicine to help to try and counter act my reaction. Not impressed and won't be going back. 1 Star Update - I called this morning and spoke with the owner of the Bakery and she was super helpful and understood where I was coming from and told me that she would action this right away and speak to her staff and send me an email back. True enough she did with pictures of what she had done in the bakery to make people know what product had nuts in it. This shows that she cares for the well being of her customers and the issue that I had yesterday. This to me is 5 star service and because of this I will return to the bakery again. Thank you Nancy

I wanted a Whoopie pie and they only had the gnookies, I know, third world problems right?! I had that chocolate pistachio gnookie and now I am addicted! Do not come to this coffee shop and do not try their coffee, it will ruin you!!!! I wanted to post a picture but I couldn’t put it down...... I get my fix here & walk over to play with the boys at Dudley Park (the toddler park 1/4 mi away). There’s a lovely covered/heated outdoor seating & more bakery items than you’d expect at Bjorn Bar. Amazing pastries and sandwiches. It's so hard to decide what to have.. I wish I had a stomach as big as the café. We went there for their scones, because they have the best tasting scones, made with real butter! Unlike the dry and baking soda tasting scones I had before, theirs were truly crunchy outside and moist inside and were pretty generous in portion! Blackberry and white chocolate, herb and garlic, cheese or the plain butter ones that come with a serving of butter and jam. Highly recommend to try this place out!

For lunch I recommend the grilled cheese or beef dip sandwich - both are mouth watering and a real treat to the soul. They have a wide range of pastries from scones to croissants to muffins, and the staff are super friendly. It’s a little bit on the pricey side but totally worth it. Best time to go is after a hike up the grouse grind to relax and unwind, and reward yourself for a hard climb.

Our first time here and oh boy, do you need to drive out here and get yourself a pastry. Tried an Apple Jalousie that was like super-concentrated apple pie flavour in a regular sized bar-like pastry. The coffee had a different (but good) flavour that my partner and I settled on as being unusual, but delicious! BjornBar has now been added to my favorites rotation.

So many sweet pastries to choose from here, it's a desert lovers paradise. We stop here after a North shore bike ride to get a jolt of caffeine and some well earned calories. Service is somewhat slow, especially if you are in a large group or it is a weekend. There is only 1 coffee machine so this slows the service somewhat. Beautiful deck on the 3rd floor with sunshine and views of our local mountains. This is not a cheap espresso and pastry, expect to spend 7 to 10 dollars per person minimum.

My wife and I discovered BjornBar a year ago and we reserved it for our Saturday coffee date. The baked goods were good (but not the best), the Americanos were pretty consistent and it had a nice atmosphere. Overall enjoyable! It would have received 4 stars if this past weekends experience didn't leave such a literally bad taste in my mouth. The Americanos tasted like dirty water, as if they were made from day-old grinds at half dose. Just awful. I didn't know if it was just me, until I went over to Artigiano and bought another Americano to compare. To my dismay, it was not just me. And now I'm wary of returning to be disappointed yet again. I don't know if it was a one-time blunder, but it definitely needs to be addressed. I will probably give the coffee one last chance to redeem, and you should too, whoever is reading this. Just know, rarely do I get so offended by a cup of coffee.

Really cute bakery/ coffee shop on a quiet strip. There are endless choices for desserts, slightly less for savoury options but still a good amount. I had the breakfast egg muffin which tasted good, but when it was reheated it was just a little too soft, probably best fresh. With it I had a banana loaf which was delicious, definitely will head back for that one. London fog with oat milk was definitely my favourite, the tea used tasted high quality, and blended nicely with the other ingredients. The atmosphere is a bit busy, but the little seating area is very cozy, even with all the people coming and going I was able to sit and enjoy my breakfast, and have a catch up with a friend.

I ordered a old Skool sandwich and pasta salad for dinner went home and ate them and immediately threw up. I was feeling fine before the meal and once the food was out of my system I was fine as well. While eating the salad I was thinking that it tasted “off” and decidednot to finish it. As soon as I was able to I called them right as it was clear it was the food I just ate and the manager was very defensive saying that it was too quick to be food poinsoning. She barely had any sympathy until I pointed out that she hadn’t even apologized for what I went through. She continued saying there’s no way it was their food as it’s made fresh daily and obviously I needed to go to a medical professional or hospital to see what was really wrong with me. Head shake. I’m more upset over how the manager handled things then anything. I don’t generally call a restaurant and make up complaints. I hope she takes the time to check the pasta salad as I feel like that’s the problem. It would be awful if it was sold to someone else and they too got sick.

Amazing entry for the Hot Choco Fest 2021! Presentation was beautiful and the hot chocolate was very rich and creamy, could definitely taste the earl grey infusion. Chantilly cream was yummy, and you get four truffles on top. Came here after throwing out my Mellow Berry Bomb from Caffe Artigiano across the street, which was a disappointing bomb in a cup of steamed milk. Love supporting the independent shops that actually care about their products!

A hip cafe/bakery that is a mix of cozy, warm and European atmosphere with an amazing baked goods selection - this is why it gets 5 stars. Good coffee, but it's the bakery that does it, inventive and high quality. I also recommend the homemade granola, it's pricey but far, far above "regular" granola you see in most places. This is a great spot in the village!

I am so impressed with Bjornbar! I always go out of my way to support PICA alumni but the service and quality of the food I received was next level. I ordered a cake and a few platters for my daughter’s second birthday party and not only were the bars and pastries bordering on perfection, the cake itself was incredible! Light fluffy sponge with great flavour and silky beautiful Swiss buttercream. Even though we had some little fingers poking it before I got a good picture, it looked wonderful and tasted better. There online ordering service is also top notch. Thank you so much Bjornbar! Really happy to support not only a North Shore small business but a fellow PICA alum who is nailing it.

GODS GIFT OF GOOD PASTRIES We came here after the Grouse Grind, and it honestly felt like the biggest reward. Just seeing it outside, it was beautiful, modern and so inviting. It has one of the most delectable display of goodies, similar to the display at PureBread bakery, and the decor inside was beautiful. After much contemplation (I was stuck on what to choose - caramel peanut butter cookie, carrot walnut loaf, white chocolate blackberry scone, brownie, cinnamon raisin twist), I finally decided to settle for the peanut butter caramel cookie, the carrot walnut loaf and the white chocolate blackberry scone, paired with a coffee for the Mr. and an Americano for me. Cookie was 8/10 Carrot loaf 8/10 Scone 10/10 I. DIED. DERICIOUS.

After dropping off our daughter at a volleyball tournament at nearby Handsworth Secondary, I decided to check out Bjornbar after reading the reviews. I have to hands down agree that the pastries here are absolutely divine!! My nut milk latte was also full of flavour, with just the right proportions of espresso and milk. I WILL definitely go back even though I live on the west side of Vancouver and don’t have much of a reason to be on that side of the pond!!

An amazing bakery/coffee shop in Edgemont Village North Vancouver. They have delicious baked goods for breakfast, wonderful savory items for lunch and the best homemade soups that change daily. Check out the numerous delicious “Bars”, Mmmmmmmmm there had to be at least 20different kinds in the case today,a few I can remember and we have tried over time are the Elvis, BjornBar, Neapolitan, Lemon, Turtle and my granddaughters favorite The Party Bar. No matter the time of day you can always find something to satisfy your craving (Sweet or Savory). The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Don’t be scared away if there is a line up it goes quickly and well worth the wait. On nice days you can also sit on the patio or venture upstairs to the patio on the roof. You definitely will not be disappointed there is something for everyone here.
