My go-to spot for coffee meetings. Calm, light-filled space and friendly staff. My coffee card always has stamps on it

Erin Tonita

I don't remember the london fog that much really but I remember liking it plus there was a lil mini tree that was next to me when I drank it and it was cute. The staff was nice and did not kick me out of the cafe. Also delicious desert things so I have heard and smelled. it also just generally smells like bread and who doesn't like that?

Larissa Pistan

Obsessed with everything this place serves. I think I've tried everything on the menu! The pastries are the best .

Great coffee and wonderfully baked goodies. They also have an amazing courtyard that is temporarily shut down due to Covid. The lockdown should be done in 2 weeks though, and then it will be so nice to patronize the establishment.

Duncan Uszkay

My go-to for a quick breakfast and lunch. Look forward to the pumpkin pie every year

Great food and good espresso. Happy that there are places to sit indoors - was worried when I came in to meet someone today that I'd have to sit outside. First time going here, and probably will stick to my usual haunt - but it'll be top of mind when I need a change of pace!

Andrew Peeples

Fresh bread daily

Beautiful little bakery, with delicious butter tarts and flourless cookies!

My office is in The Bauer Building so the Café is a convenient place to grab lunch. I thought the soup was reasonably priced, $3.95 , tax included. They used to give you a bun with your soup but someone decided to cut that perk so you just get the soup, no crackers. Imagine my surprise when I went in today and my soup rang in at $5.95 with tax and I just bought it for $3.95 on June 18th! I was told the price had gone up to match the restaurant. Well I'm sorry but in the dining room someone is serving me the soup which I'm guessing comes with a bun or crackers. A $2.00 increase is way out of line so I will no longer be buying there and will advise my co-workers as well. Not a wise decision on the part of management.

Barista needs training on how to differentiate between a Latte and a Cuppachino. My Latte was very light, due to a Cuppachino amount of foam, and the cup was probably only 75% full. It leaves you feeling jipped and unfulfilled. The pastries are very good.

Dropped in one morning for a light breakfast with my son. The person working the counter was friendly and chatty. The baked goods we had were tasty, and the coffee was great.

This is a really great coffee shop. Their coffee is very good and I especially love the fact that they have lactose free milk (only other place is Starbucks). They would get even more stars from me if they'd carry more gf foods.

Coffee here is atrocious.

A gem that is hidden (a hidden gem). Do go to here and order yourself a hot coffee, they have house blend as well as other dwelling themed bean juices. DO order a breakfast sandwich (meat-filled or veggie). For under 5 dollars you can eat a delicious palm-food-stack. This does appear to be a place Mike McCauley would enjoy. The next time you see him, ask if he likes it, and more important why he hasn't written any sort of review.

Best servers, and damn good espresso.

Went for the first time today, had a few questions and the gentleman behind the counter was very nice! Will be coming back :)

We stopped by this morning to grab two cappuccinos (one regular, one decaf) and also opted for one of your sugar-topped scones. All it took was one sip to determine that both our drinks were undrinkable. You have an expensive machine, but either don't clean it, or your staff don't know how to use it. Both coffees went in the garbage. Fast forward 5 or 6 hours later, and we're home and decide to share the scone we got, which ended up being incredibly salty. You are a bakery... all you have to do is make good coffee and a few simple baked goods. We will not be back.

Olivia Plzak

The staff are so lovely every time I stop by, the baked goods are delicious, and the coffee is great too!

Absolutely fantastic. The Bauer's offshoot cafe has every bit of the quality as the Bauer Kitchen. Delightfully delicious baked treats.

Pat Conrad

We tasted the delicious gourmet buttertarts and individual quiches and fell in love with this place! The cozy, welcoming decor and friendly staff were just what we needed.

Best breakfast sandwiches in the city!

Espresso is not bad.. maybe the blend of beans they use is a sometimes a bit old maybe it's just on the bland side. Lemon squares are nice but can't say the same for the pecan squares. They are sparse on the pecans and mostly peanuts on top. They should be renamed to peanut squares.

Been there a couple times already and tried several sandwiches and baked goods. This bakery is a bit more pricey than others but their food just tastes really good so that’s ok. Try their flourless brownie! The best one I’ve ever had for sure. Such a nice and rich chocolate flavor and the piece is huge, can never finish all of it in one go. Also the staff is very nice and helpful.

I used to love this place and visit frequently. The coffee was the best - one of the few coffee shops that serve Baden beans, and the food and service have both always been excellent. However, I visited today after a hiatus and I was so disappointed. Staff was less than friendly. I was told only dark roast available, no apologies or suggestions for something else (like an Americano or other espresso based alternative). I don’t care for dark roast, but decided to try it since the staff seemed to be in a rush for me to finish my order (no one else in line behind me). The molasses cookie was just okay. I ended up throwing out the coffee after a few sips because it was so bitter. New ownership? New staff not fully trained? I don’t know, but I was soooo looking forward to my favourite coffee joint today when I was nearby, and ended up feeling disappointed instead.

I was in the area visiting my Father and decided to pick him up our namesake treat (Nutter Butter) and a coffee for myself. It's been a long time since I've been in. Great service and great variety of products

Love the bakery, both the quality of the baked goods and the team that works there. A request to please bring back your sourdough bread! I purchased it almost weekly.

Love the baked goods here: the butter tarts are to die for, and the coffee was very good! No indoor seating so we were able to sit indoors at the Bauer kitchen next door.

Food really good and very polite staff

The service is great and the staff are friendly. I enjoy the baked goods and visit regularly. My favourite are the croissants, which when baked well are lightly golden and moist. Unfortunately it has been hit or miss, (it seems lately a miss as they over baked and dry). I feel badly complaining to the staff, but it would be nice if the baker knew that it was a disappointment.

Omer Khurram-Hafeez

Awesome cafe!! I went for my first time and they were beyond polite and friendly. The coffee I had was really good and the prices are very reasonable considering it tastes better than Starbucks which extremely expensive. The avocado egg sandwich with goat cheese is a must have. Look forward to coming again!

Scott Mahon

I paid a visit to the cafe for the first time and I really enjoyed the service I received. My coffee was made to perfection by a really friendly barista. She really knew what she was doing and it was enjoyable to watch her craft my coffee. I'll be back!
