Tried the Chinese crepe (煎饼果子) and Chinese meat burger (肉夹馍) there. The Chinese crepe was quite good, actually better than the popular one in SoGo restaurant at the nearby plaza. It's quite tender and the spice and sauce was just the right amount, not too salty (I always found the crepe at SOGO too dry and salty). However, the meat burger was a totally ripped off, with fluffy breads and quite sweet meet inside, nothing what an authentic Chinese burger should be. After a few minutes, the fluffy breads absorbed all the juice and became mushy inside while the outside was still soft and dry. They also have a large selection of sweet bakeries that you may find in T&T but theirs are cheaper.

Great Asian bakery! Found this place while craving t&t breads. Not a big store but certainly has a lot of breads to try. Bacon bun is a classic in our family and the one here did not disappoint our taste buds. Sticky rice with chicken is a personal favourite, highly recommend it. They also have shrimp crackers! Vietnamese sandwiches, cheese bun (very good), BBW pork buns (tastes like BBQ pork dim sum), Portuguese egg tarts are good (flaky crust and creamy center) all very good price. Each breads or itrms on shelves are less than two dollars

You can order your cake the day before and they'll have it ready next day. This one is the fresh fruit cake that is made of sponge cake, whipped cream and fresh fruit, at least it tastes and is airy like whipped cream... I have ordered another one exactly like it for another birthday and I'm sure it will not disappoint. 4* because the customer service isn't great, they don't take credit card and if you use the debit machine, transactions under $10 are charged an extra $0.50. Cake is very good though. I've also had their puff pastry which was good too.

HORRENDOUS customer experience... I walked in happy, and so eager to try various treats. The owner, along with the other people didn’t even greet us... I tried to look past this, and simply asked what they would recommend.. he was still silent. I felt racially profiled, Uncomfortable ... to the point I just walked out. I will NEVER RETURN. So much for supporting local, I rather go to T&T. This place is atrocious, and made you feel uncomfortable, and far from other great local bakeries.

The quality of the food here is really good. However, the costumer service is terrible. I ordered a Chinese pancake there once, and even when other people behind me were gone, I still did not get that pancake. At the beginning, I did not bother too much, and I just gently reminded the employees. They noticed and told me to wait patiently. Around 10 mins later, when I asked the employees, they started to question whether I’ve taken that order or not. I really got angry with this kind of attitude. Even though that employee seems new here, She obviously does not learn from the mistake she’s made the first time I asked her.

Bakery is not bad. But the customer service is terrible. Once I enter the place, I don't feel welcomed at all since all the employees don't even look at me or towards the entrance. I have went here twice in my study term and in the first time, since I did not speak Mandarin, the cashier ignored me and pointed at the price instead of communicating with me. She was exclusively rude not just to me but to everyone in the line. No patience at all! The second time I went it was the same cashier and she did not even speak to me whatsoever. Although my total was $3, I only had $10 in hand so I gave her the $10 bill. She was very impatient even though I spent a few short seconds looking in my wallet if I had spare change to make her job easier but she looked super annoyed and impatient so I gave her the $10. Another customer came up to her and she was talking in Chinese with him. When he left, I was still waiting for my change and nothing. When I told her about the change I still never received, she was very annoyed and angry and even forgot how much to give me back so I had to tell her... I also had three buns but no bag to put it in... I've never experienced such terrible customer service, highly do not recommend anyone to go in, and then feel even worse leaving. I'd rather go somewhere else with better customer service and pay more than go there ever again. Very disappointing.

If you want to buy food here often, I would NEVER recommend you to spend money here, because they will charge more money from you. If they recognize you as a regular customer, they will overcharge you extra dollars for various reasons. Not only me, but also my roommates who often come here to buy food. In short, do not often come here to buy food, do not let them earn black money ???? In addition, some of the stuff delivered very poor service attitude.

Glad there is a bun place in the city. The buns comparatively are pretty average and do not really wow me. Just decent. Asian owned and lots of other snacks to eat besides buns. Decent prices for this type of place too.

Tried the Chinese donuts and the cream cheese bun. Both were good. The prices were surprisingly cheap but I expected a nicer environment. Update: added one more ????. The interior looks nicer now, and the birthday cakes ROCK. We have already ordered 2, and both were amazingly light with not much sugar in them, perfect sponge cake texture and real cream icing.

This is a convenient spot near the University of Waterloo to grab a quick meal or snack. The buns and Swiss rolls are baked fresh and are tasty. However, the customer service is lacking. The staff are not welcoming, appear disinterested, and have a rude demeanor if you have a question. For a better shopping experience with comparable products and prices, I would recommend going to T&T on Westmount Road instead.

My favourite thing about this place is the buns. They are super fresh and made in house. You can smell them cooking and they restock the shelves regularly. I have tried a lot of their buns and the green tea bun is my favourite. Their noodles are okay. Definitely not my cup of tea as I have had better elsewhere; however, their buns/baked goods were delicious.

For those early morning classes at UW - I highly recommend stopping by O'My for their bakery buns and homemade soy milk and fresh brewed teas! I found myself coming in regularly, at around 8:30, that's when all the goodies are set out on racks to cool down. Yummm!

I enjoy this bakery regularly especially because it reminds me of my time spent living in Asia. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to see a rather surprising and disappointing display of customer service. The cashier dealing with the customer ahead of me must not have thought the customer in front of me could not understand Chinese because she called the customer “dumb” loud enough for me to hear in Chinese. The customer understood every word and let the cashier know this. If I were the owner I would have been embarrassed to have someone I employ treating potential customers in such a disgusting manner. This was a rather surprising experience that has overshadowed the two or more years of service that I have experienced. I’m reconsidering whether this is still a place I will continue to frequent and don’t think I will be recommending friends any longer.

Nice selection of Chinese breakfast food. The pig ears, milk tea were made perfectly. The egg/dough fritter wrap and bun with beef could use more flavouring, it was a bit on the lighter side. Food options were limited as the restaurant was preparing for their vacation period. Overall pretty good and would come back.

O My Bakery is the only Chinese bakery in Waterloo (long overdue and I'm surprised there aren't more). Their buns are decent. I was excited to find a place with egg tarts in KW but unfortunately their egg tarts are terrible (very weird flavour, did not find them edible). The guy also short-changed me. The bakery itself is clean and modern. It also has lots of selection and seems to be popular. I will probably be back for buns and to try other things (but i will avoid the egg tarts).

Happy to know a place like this exist in the KW area. No need to travel to the GTA to get my fix of pineapple and coconut buns, sesame balls and egg tarts. Recently bought a traditional Chinese fruit cake for my friends birthday and it was amazing! Definitely will be back again!

The price is more expensive than the prices in the GTA, but the quality is decent (decent sized fillings, and fairly fresh pastries). As with all bakeries, they offer discount pastries that were not sold during the day, and sometimes those pastries are extremely stale (more than a day old), and their non-bread selection can sometimes be expired too (I bought a serving of spicy duck neck, for full price; while opening the case, and to my dismay, some of the pieces at the bottom were covered with slime, and emitting a foul odor). I would stick with the fresh bread/ pastries that they place on display, and avoid anything pre-packaged, as it may be stale, or expired. This location also offers traditional Chinese foods, such as frozen dumplings, and chive-pork filled pancakes. The prices are a bit expensive, but they are very tasty!

Extremely rude service. Never going back again. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, but the food wasn’t good either. Their baked goods on display didn’t seem fresh and they told me that they have new ones baked, but still told me to get the one on display, so I did. When I got home and peeled off the wrap and opened the container, my hands were soaked with grease. The food was extremely greasy that I just refused to eat. If anyone is looking for a substitute, I’d recommend T&T ‘s bakery.

I had the congee and the cold noodles. Both extremely flavourful and a great portion for the price. The congee was simmered for quite a while; you could definitely taste the pork in the soup itself. There was also a decent amount of preserved eggs. Recommended. The cold noodles had some toppings and great amount of sauce but were lacking a bit in consistency. However, the price makes it a decent deal. The shop also offers a lot of different pastries, I would assume mostly, if not all, home made. They also serve a variety of noodle dishes from cold noodles to soup noodles for a filling and rapid meal.

Some of the food items on the menu taste pretty authentic. But yes the customer service here is pretty bad. Owners seem uninterested to sell stuff here and they always made me feel like I am bothering them and taking time out of their busy schedule when I order. It is quite odd. I only go if I really need a fixing of Chinese breakfast items.
