UPDATE: We just tried again a year later. The loaf of bread was suberb, but the chicken pot pie was horrible: mushy pastry, one small grey piece of chicken meat, and the vegetables once again tasted like they were frozen. Considering how expensive the pie was, it's unbelievable the food could be this bad. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Judging by the number of great reviews, I wonder if we were just there on a bad day. The whisky tart and the scones were underwhelming compared to their prices (we'd already decided not to return based on them), but the meat pies were actually gross; while the pastry was okay, the chicken and vegetables tasted like a frozen entree, the chicken especially being gristly and waterlogged. It looks like a neat place and maybe we were just unlucky, but those three strikes were enough for us: never again.

Ordered a birthday cake here, it was a bit topsy, because i ordered fruit jelly layer, so wasn't as pleasant to look at, but the taste was worth it, very yummy cake! The peanut free option also is great for people with allergies or to be safe when inviting many people to parties. Staff there was friendly and helpful during ordering process. I will order a cake from here again, maybe skip the fruit filling jelly next time.

I see lots of good experience's here, however mine was not one of those. My wife purchased some whiskey tarts from here, they were absolutely terrible. The dough/crust was half cooked and outweighed the filling by 3-1...the filling was dry/chalky tasting as well. We both though..mmm..whiskey tarts, how could we go wrong? Well we did...I can't comment on the rest of the food as this was our first and probably last experience at this bakery. We didn't even return the tarts, one bite out of two of them and we tossed them in the garbage, wasn't even worth the time and effort to take them back...

Cute little spot and lots of vegan variety! You can order vegan cakes here as well. Tons of varieties. Their apple “timbits” are delicious. The mint cupcake is good but the chocolate part on it just tastes like toothpaste. Super cute Christmas decorations are up inside and it smells great when you get inside. The cement stairs on the way in shift a bit but so far so good.

The best bakery in KW. Consistent, delicious staples (whole wheat, sourdoughs), tasty variations to spice up your week, and a full case of sweets and savories for everyone. I'm not vegan or gluten-free, but it's awesome to see plenty of those options as well! Some have gone on to be favorite foods of ours, among both their regular and special offerings. They are who we go to to order birthday cakes and have never been disappointed. It's amazing that even with all their options, everything is labelled and makes it easy for you to choose. This was our first visit and we were impressed. We tried the vegan salted caramel cupcake and the gluten free version of the same. Both came with a brownie and caramel sauce on top. While the vegan one was larger, and both were delicious, we both preferred the flavor of the gluten free version. The brownie was also great with a really satisfying hard-but-still-moist edge.

I can't say enough good things about Ce Food Experience, The Bakery! After admiring them from afar (aka drooling over all their baked goods on social media) for over a year, I finally visited the bakery earlier this year and have been a regular since. I appreciate how clearly each item is labelled to meet dietary needs, and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. The pre-order options and COVID safety protocols make for a really pleasant experience, and the food is ALWAYS amazing. We've purchased several types of bread (regulars like the rosemary sea salt sourdough and fluffy sourdough, and bread features like jalapeno popper, everything bagel seasoned - pictured below) and many other treats like the chocolate mousse cup (pictured below), cupcakes, cookies, the massive peanut butter cup, cinnamon rolls, hot chocolate bombs, etc. We have never been disappointed! I recommend this bakery to all of my friends, and I highly recommend it to you!

Oh. my. Goodness. Their rosemary sea salt bread (vegan) is incredible, and I just tried their vegan muffins -- mindblown! The BEST vegan baked goods I've honestly ever had. Their muffins are delicate and fluffy and flavourful and *NOT TOO SWEET!!* So important, wow. You can taste the love (and skill!)

Ordered a 3 layer chocolate cake with chocolate icing for my Dad’s 84th birthday and it was absolutely delectable. I am a tried and true white cake person but I chose chocolate this time for my Dad. I not only wanted a second piece of cake but wished there had been leftovers. Will definitely be going back for more!

Very good selection with some unique items. I expected a more inviting sitting area. The use of an old building is a great idea but the parking can be tight so you may be forced to park at Len's Mills. Overall a very nice place with tasty treats and a pleasant staff!

Such a cute little bakery! This was my first time at this bakery. Everything was fresh and delicious. I picked up a variety of sweet treats and everyone in the office really enjoyed them. Will definitely be going back and trying more of their products. The interior is really nice and cozy and the staff was very friendly.

Some of the best breads I have ever had, and daily varieties to choose from.They also have great treats (vegan & gluten free) and options for lunch (sandwiches, quiche, pies). My suggestion would be: any of the breads, whiskey butter tarts, chocolate covered cheesecake bites and the peanut butter seed bars (vegan). That being said, anything I have tried here has been top notch! The ladies in the bakery are also very nice. A must try if you are in KW.

We ordered a peanut free pastry tray for a party. Not only were her recommendations great for what we needed, but also the tray has an excellent selection of baked goods that were all delicious and a big hit at the party! I would highly recommend this bakery to anyone who asks. Especially those with peanut allergies. They were excellent at communicating about what they do to protect people with allergies but also guaranteed no contamination. Excellent bakery!

I tried Kelly's Bake Shop in Burlington, and thought their gluten-free and vegan were the best ever, until I tried here! Staff is so friendly, and accommodating. BEST Bakery in Ontario, hands down!

My husband and I visited this bakery yesterday, October 16. It was our first visit and will be our last. We purchased a nice looking loaf of whole wheat artisan bread. Unfortunately, the over salty bread was not baked sufficiently and had an overpowering yeast smell. We were very disappointed as we thought we'd give this nice little bakery a try.

I was blown away by how amazing this place is! When I had mistakenly assumed that I was going to be able to get gluten free cupcakes at a bakery I had been going to for years CE came to the rescue! With very little notice and an after hours request emailed to them they saved me! I was able to purchase a half dozen super delicious, gluten free chocolate fudge cupcakes. It really didn't hurt that they were gorgeous too! When I went to pick them up I noticed the keto treats they had and got myself a cookie, it was also pretty darn fabulous!

They make only eggless cake in Waterloo but they need 2 days prior intimation. Cakes are amazing but their ice cream layer is very sweet. I suggest them to make it less sweet so that the taste of different flavors can be realized.

This is the best bakery in our area. Call ahead and order anything! Ce can make it! And, not only can she make anything, she can also make it gluten free and / or vegan. The Nanaimo bars are an excellent treat, the herb loaves will have you hooked, the cake pops are a delight, the cookies aren't too sweet and pair perfectly with a hot tea. The bakery has even introduced a line of Keto products, so there really is something for everyone. Also, if you get to meet Ce, she is just the sweetest and good-est person ever! Get yourself to the bakery!

Received a porch drop-off of baked goods as a gift from my office, in the place of usual team lunches while we're all working virtually. It was such a thoughtful treat at the end of the week. My roommate has a lot of food sensitivities, but we ordered the vegan pot pie for dinner and both loved it. So flavourful and the crust was perfect. The whiskey butter tarts are dangerously good.

Coffee and treats were good and the location was convenient. It's really a small "coffee shop" with limited seating. However if you look past that and focus on what is offered it is a better choice than Tim Hortons down the road. I had the pie which was featured for that day and I found it to be quite salty, but everything else was amazing, hence me taking a star. Would definitely come again.

My husband brought me home various treats from here for our anniversary. He went back because he had had a really nice quiche there, but this time, things were not great. He got two different brownies and although the texture was kind of nice, and they both looked like yummy dark chocolate, they had surprisingly little flavour. I'm not sure how they could look so chocolatey without tasting much like chocolate. He also bought big chocolate chip cookies; again, the texture was nice (crispy yet chewy), but then the chocolate chips tasted like low quality chocolate. We won't be returning here. If you want an awesome treat, go to Sabletine instead (their chocolate chips cookies are, I'm pretty sure, the best I've EVER had).

I have been to Ce’s 3 times now and I have had something new every time. I am vegan so I’ve only had the vegan items but I can say unequivocally that every single item I’ve had was delicious. The vegan Mac and cheez is in the top two Mac and cheeses I’ve ever had and that includes the non vegan ones I had before becoming vegan. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond and Ce herself makes you feel like you are at home!

Incredible staff, lovely service, knowledgeable and PASSIONATE about food and their products. Can do custom orders. The food is also extremely good. Everything I've had has been utterly delicious so far. Good coffee too. Plenty of gluten free options, lots of health conscious and trendy foods as well. Highly recommend you come and try it out.
