Good pastries at a fair price. I tried a pig's ear, a black forest roll, a sausage roll, a pretzel and a chocolate tart. They also make their own chocolate so I sampled a dark chocolate with hazelnut square. The pigs ear had wonderful lamination and was super crisp and flaky but a bit dark on the one side and would have benefited from cinnamon or some more sugar. It was still superior to many other of these I have tasted just from the quality of the baking. The black forest roll was the stand out to me. The chocolate was tempered and the generous cherry filling was sour and a huge burst of flavour. Outstanding! The chocolate tart pastry was nice a short if maybe a tad thick and the inside was oozy and not oversweet. Would eat again. The sausage roll was flavourful with just the right amount of spice and delicious even when cold. Not particularly flaky but perfect for a take and eat without a mess. The pretzel was what I had to think about the most...especially how they compare to my beloved Grain Harvest. The thing that impressed me most was the texture. These really nailed the balance between the chew on the outside and the soft fluffiness inside. I think i will need to grab a GH one and one of these and eat them side by side to make a definitive ruling. They are both excellent. All and all very pleased with this bakery and will be back.

Pretzel bun is so good. Its light and chewy and just enough salt. The strudel is more of a cake consistency than flaky, BUT it is still good. Have a small little reduced section that has a good selection and lots of other different little treats and breads to choose from. Would recommend!

Love this German bakery!!! They offer some delicious gluten-free options (almond horn, hazelnut roll, lots of chocolate options) HIGHLY recommend the hazelnut roll!! Like a ferraro rocher, without the crunchy wafer. Pig Ears (not GF) are to die for! Friendly service, owner is awesome. Hoping for some more gluten-free options in the future!!

I love this bakery! I'm so very grateful to have this establishment in my neighbourhood. I haven't bought my bread anywhere else for years! Grocery store bread tastes gross to me now. The whole wheat is a staple in our house. I love pretty much their entire line of rye breads... but my all time favourite is their sourdough whole grain bread - note that this bread is only available on Saturday. As for treats - our favourites are the cinnamon rolls, the German style strawberry cheesecake, strawberry vanilla Danish, and the coconut macaroon with Belgian chocolate on the bottom. The almond crescents are scandalously delicious and perfect with a coffee. P.S. They are doing a great job with Covid-19... Separate entrance and exit, one way flow through the store, 2 customers max at a time, and plexiglass shield at the cash.

Fresh bread made everyday!! The cakes taste amazing nothing like the grocery store cakes. These have flavour and not nearly as sweet!! Servers are very friendly. Plus they have a small cafe that serves soup and sandwiches or you can take a dessert and sit down and enjoy a warm or cold beverage with it!!

I am sorry visited the Bakery this past Friday and was less than impressed. I purchased a strawberry, rhubarb pie and the crust the bland and the pie had the lack of filling in the pie in for the amount of crust on it. I also purchased a cheesecake item and one bit and it was gross! My wife purchase peanut butter that taste was also off. We did purchase a Creme horn was excellent and my wife also got a piece of black forest cake which also was ok! The girl who served us behind the counter was very rude and inpatient when helping us! This was our first visit to this bakery and I can tell you it will be our last!!

Tucked away in a small neighbourbood plaza, this place is certainly a gem. Fresh, large selection. Our house currently smells like the rye bread - that’s how fresh it was. The pretzels we bought didn’t make it out of the parking lot! We look forward to visiting when the cafe section is open.

I visited this place and ordered 5 desserts to eat there. The treats are low on sugar and butter so they don't take you on a one way guilt trip. The gentleman at the bakery is passionate about the stuff he makes. It's a quiet place with a surprisingly huge area to sit down. We ordered the Biensteich (the bee sting) cake, black forest pastry, hazelnut roll, almond horn and an apple strusel, not strudel. All of the above mentioned items exceeded our expectations. The flavors are spot on and very direct and free from any fusion. I will be visiting my parents in India and will surely get some treats for them from this place. The people are hospitable and polite. It's a hidden gem among various dessert places that have cakes and other stuff full of vegetable oil. Not this one. Heck no!
