We picked up a two pack of butter tarts at Reid’s diary as an impulse purchase. And I can confidently say these are the best butter tarts i’ve ever had! The pastry was flaky and the filling was beautiful. I was really sorry we only bought the two pack! Delicious!

I live in Nanaimo and made a special stop here while in Ontario to get these tarts. Then dragged them back to BC with me. THAT'S how good they are. Call ahead with a larger order. It's an outlet, so buy your tarts and take them home. Just make sure you get some!!!

I've heard that Rachel herself is a tart. Cannot confirm this, but I'm working on it. Staff here haven't been overly helpful on the subject, but I can attest that some of her staff members definitely ARE tarts. You know who you are.

The reviews don't lie. Drove all the way from Toronto as I wanted to see if they were putting magical pixie dust in them. The judges/critics may say Betty's tarts are the best, but they CLEARLY haven't tried Rachel. Step it up, Betty. Pro tip: Try the Rachel's mini tarts and the bacon tarts ????

I just tried Rachel's butter tarts for the first time and they are the best I've ever had! Everything about them from the filling to the crust is deliciously perfect! I found them at our Metro store.

These are really great butter tarts! Nice flaky pastry and a delicious filling! I couldn't have just one. When I first saw them, they were pretty unassuming looking so I wasn't expecting them to be that good. I was pleasantly surprised!

Rachel’s butter tarts and butter pecan tarts are crazy good!!!! I wish they were sold in more locations. I only find them occasionally. I buy the mini tarts and they have a carmelized top that is awesome. Very addictive!!!!!
