As you know, we don't usually stop to set feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

Gr8 pastries!
I love your cakes and pastries. Thanks for making such great treats for me and my family ????
The food is pretty good. That being said the service was slow and the customer service was subpar. I won't be going back but if you want to take a chance or have lot ls of time, you could risk it.
Pan au chocolate was layered, airy and sweet. Perfect. Small cozy place. Too many choices to try them all
Great pastries and staff are always nice.
Love everything here
Lady was in a rush and unwelcoming because we arrived 15 mins to close
I am a very happy regular here. Love the food, sweets, coffees and staff.
Good coffee and great pastries!
Wonderful
(Translated) Good croissants but lacking a little flakiness and lightness (Original) Bons croissants mais manque un peu de feuilleté et de légèreté
Yummy eats.
Fantastic patisserie! Skip the coffee unless you like bitter European style though.
Good tasting pastries, but so overpriced and super small. As shown in the picture, the chocolate croissant is literally a mini. Very disappointed in the value for price, as 6 little tarts, 2 croissants and a small brioche loaf (very dry) was $56.00 Unless they drag me back to show me I'm wrong, I wouldn't go back and can't recommend.
Excellent spot. Nice patio that is dog friendly. Great croissants and sandwiches.
Best pastries in To. And great Coffee.
Amazing pastries. Some of the freshest croissants in Toronto. I specially love the tarts, specifically the strawberry with cream.
Tried croissant and pain au chocolate and both were really good. I am def going back to try other things as they looked very good.
Delicious pastries candy mini cakes!
Pretty tasty bakery in the beaches, the croissants were tasty...especially the almond ones.
The only downside to this fabulously delicious place, is they only had one person serving which hardly seemed fair when she was kept too busy.
Lovely little Patisserie. Almond and lemon croissants were fresh and overflowing with filling. The tart was tasty too
The reviews don't lie. This place is the real deal! Wonderful coffee, delicious sandwiches, and very tasty home made french pastries
Amazing french patisserie
Pastries were mostly delicious, but I ordered an almond croissant and they gave me a custard croissant.
Ok place. Had a good quiche but nothing special.
Excellent compact place nice patisserie good tea kitche
Top notch food quality and attention to detail. It's like being back in Europe. Highly recommended!
Very good .
$40 order and it was stale!! We drove into the city for this memory of the best croissants and ugh. So disappointed. Inside looked a bit tired too. Never ever have I seen the displays look so blah. Shame.
Delicious passteries but more expensive
Cute cosmopolitan chic, scrumptious confectionery, and a unique blend of coffee are present at this quality establishment. The Beaches boardwalk is 5 mins away to appreciate before or after - what's not to like? Overall 10/10 would recommend
Most recent visit was subpar. I think ownership changed last year and the product quality has diminished significantly. Today pastry were dry and over baked. Zanes used to be our go to but now not for the price/quality. We much prefer Mon K even though they open later
Same friendly girls in the coffee shop. Got a huge custard croissant and delish coffee !
Great stuff... was only disappointed that the amount of each item was limited.
Delish! The desserts are fantastic and the croissants are top quality. A lovely patisserie at the Beach.
The best quiche in the city I absolutely love this little French bakery. Desserts are to die for . Definitely a must try!????????????????
Best in the Beach.
Success is more than just what you sell you won’t be disappointed here Ooh la la and the service has you in mind. Thank you for going way out of your way to deliver to a dear friend.
I got the mini chocolate pistachio passion fruit cake named "Molly",which was beautiful and delicious! Reasonable price too - $4.80, when most other Toronto patisseries would charge $6-$8. Staff was friendly, and shop looked nice and clean.
Good food. Small assortment when I was there.
(Translated) I really like French pastries and pastries, but it would not be too hard to play music that goes with the spirit of what you serve, instead of CHFI? (Original) J’aime beaucoup les pâtisseries et viennoiseries françaises, mais ça ne serait pas trop dur de jouer de la musique qui va avec l’esprit de ce que vous servez, au lieu de CHFI ?
Amazing croissants, fruit Danish and other tarts. Also has gellotto. Best to go first thing before a line up forms. You can also order french baguettes in advance or have a nice breakfast sandwich ????.
(Translated) The treat (Original) Le régal
One of the best ham and cheese baguette, sandwiches. Lovely pastries especially the lemon charts
The pastries here are absolutely delicious.
Delicious food. Not so much variety and very expensive. However, it's a good treat experience.
Some of the best pastries in the city, good espresso and a cute small place. A word of caution however...if this is your first visit, don't be put off by the unfriendly service by one of the girls. She doesn't seem too happy, or nice, but we all know that deep down "cold" people are just big softies looking for some TLC.
Decent place with good pastry. Nice patio, nice people. 4 stars, because I've expected a bit more from the pastry :)
I have a penchant for lemon desserts and have enjoyed every one I’ve tried there. I don’t know the technical terms for every ingredient or dessert and there is one employee there with short hair and glasses who feels the need to always correct my pastry terminology. Other employees have been friendly and helpful but if I use the wrong term she curtly says “we don’t have that” or “it’s not that it’s this”. She makes no attempt to understand me nor does she suggest alternatives. As tasty as their desserts may be pretentious and unhelpful service just rubs me the wrong way. Today I walked out after receiving her apathetic service and went to another shop.
Excellent Quality.
I come here when I’m in the Beaches for freshly baked goods and the coffee of course. Love everything they have and it’s often hard to pick what to try next
Croissant and Chocolatine are excellent ! With a fresh coffee it was superb ! A little place of France in the middle of Toronto, love it !
Best patisserie in the city hands down.
Nice
The best French pastry shop I know in gta. It’s as good or better than the French bakeries I visited in Paris.
Some of the best french pastry in Toronto, I've been to France a few times and only this place can bring me the nostalgia. Coffee is nice and strong too!
Awesome pastries and croissants
Great coffee and custard tart; nice feel to the inside with small seating area; first time there ... wont be the last.
Great!
Really delicious and very nice staff. Had a leek and Parmesan quiche and a mixed berry tart (small one). Enjoy both a lot. Pricy but worth it for the quality and taste :)
Great pastries!
Holy cow their croissants are to die for! Perfectly flaky, crisp on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. Go early so that you are not disappointed. I haven't had the pleasure of trying the cakes but they look amazing as well.
Best pastries in Toronto!!
We came here as snack, The food was amazing, sandwiches were amazing, dessert was amazing. Strongly recommend this place. Will come here more
Nice pastries. Staff could be a bit friendlier though.
I love this bakery - I feel so lucky to have it within walking distance of my home. The pastries are amazing I always try different items and have yet to be disappointed. The service is friendly the patio is lovely (much nicer than the neighboring Starbucks). I do like the coffee from Starbucks (just used to it I guess) so I usually grab my coffee from Starbucks if I’m in a rush and come over to Zane for the pastries. A must try.
Their raspberry tart is just as good as the ones I had in Paris a week ago. The cream is tasty and is made of quality ingredients. The interior of this place could benefit from a reno, but what matters the most is that the overall quality of desserts is good and the prices are reasonable. Their croissants looked somewhat unappealing IMHO. I prefer croissants from either Thobors or Jules on Mount Pleasant. The owner of this place is a really nice guy. I would love to come here again in the future.
2020 onward - I used to love coming here but the quality has gone down the last couple times I have visited Old rating: 5 stars
One of my favourite bakeries in Toronto.
I take my family to this great restaurant quite a bit! This is my favorite place to have a bite. I visit this spot routinely. The meals are very good, the team is friendly and the prices are fair. I like eating in this restaurant over a rich dinner.
The croissant was great but I ordered a ham and cheese croissant warmed up and it was cold in the middle. My husband couldn’t even finish his bc he was so grossed out. Would have been absolutely delish if it was heated up through and through.
Great patisserie in the city and one of my favourite places to get croissants from. The crumb is just right. The breads are and chocolate treats are also to die for. Definitely a hidden gem and great value for what you get. The patio space is nice bonus in the warmer months.
Great variety and quality of pasteries.
Lovely French bakery with a good selection of tasty pastries and sandwiches. I always end up getting their cheese and avocado sandwich and one of their pastries for dessert.
Very good pastries, but don't go there for the smile of the staff.
One time I got the ham and cheese croissant and it was so disgusting. Super dry and the ham smelled funky, I ended up tossing it. Another time we got a mousse cake, it was so flakey and starchy, it must have been frozen for half a year or something. I wonder if they have changed owner, I don’t remember this place to be like this…
Used to be very good place for coffee and pastries… but now not worth the money!!
This is the Ham and Cheese croissant I just bought. Seriously, that's all. No condiments, no greens. A tiny slice of cheese and an inferior brand of cold cut. I will not be a repeat customer.
Best quiche in town ????????
The most amazing patisserie everything is amazing but the eclairs are #1
Delicious pastries!
Soooooooo good! We love this place...the chocolate moose is awesome, the pistachio thing, amazing, the fruit tarts are great too. It's on the quiet end of the beaches strip, so parking is usually available. Hidden gem, highly recommend.
I read in t.o. blog about the questionable reviews and the horrible phone calls you receive on a monthly basis. I am going to make sure that I tell my friends about your establishment. I was in last week and so enjoyed the service and the awesome treats! Will be back for more for sure!!!
Zane Boulangerie & Patisserie is the best in Toronto! Pastries are delicious and coffee is excellent!! .Plus, the owner is a nice guy, hardworking and very generous. It's a must visit for french pastries lovers
The cakes are just beautiful and so delicious! The croissants and pastries looked wonderful and it looks like their quiches must be great as a lot of people had ordered ahead for the holidays.
The croissant and pain au chocolat at Zane take me back to Paris - they are perfect in every way!
Had an almond croissant but wasn't filled with almong
Delicious chocolate croissant. Good coffee and fair prices.
(Translated) I had a really bad experience at this bakery. A bad reception, two waitresses who do not speak French and who do not master their products. Passing through to introduce my partner to French culture, unfortunately a very warm welcome that we had received. It is a shame to promote French products and that no staff member speaks French! Do not recommend the bakery.
Use to be a really great place with amazing food and desserts. Since the former owner Mo sold the place it just isn't good anymore. Its a real shame.
Excellent. I feel like l am in Paris, France. I have been there.
The best pastry this side of Paris.
Beautiful pastries and desserts... a local favourite.
Zane has a short but sweet selection of breads and pastries that are pretty friggin' great!
Fantastic????
Superb! Authentic! And very tasty.
Great place
I ordered from ubereat a blueberry tart 7$ and ham sandwitch 8$ and sorry the tart yes the sandwich should of been cold bread sandwich as it has one slide of ham cut in half and cheap on cheese too! So sad-
It was alright
The best paasries and croissants in the Beach
Best croissant in the city!
This place isn't perfect. But their croissants are.
Reliable delicious French pasteries and friendly service. One of Toronto's best places for croissants. Good baguette sandwiches.
Wonderful pastries. I think they should increase the number of lemon croissants they make daily because they are always out of them by 9:00am. So disappointed
Horrible espresso based coffees, similar to Tim Hortons
Stopped by to pick up some pastries and baguette after an appt. Was a little disappointed this time. I picked up a ham & cheese croissant, choc & almond croissant and a baguette. I requested the almond croissant and got a choc & almond instead. The guy behind the counter pkg'd the croissant and assumed I was good with it. Rather than saying TNT, I stuck with it - I must say that it was rather tasty and good. I was disappointed with the ham & cheese croissant. It was not very fresh. Tasted like it was sitting in the fridge for a while. Usually everything from Zane is amazing. Hope the next time will be back to the usual level of greatness.
Zane, zane, Zane, Zane!! It was soooooooo good and fresh and authentic Parisian pastries! Amazing croissants, apricot or blueberry ( like real size small blueberries, not the steroid type), Danishes with just a bit of custard, raisin twists, YUM!! We sat in the car, wolfed down the whole box and went back for leek quiches, I confess....
Apple tart is a must try. Fresh apple on nice pastry base. Croissant is good too. Very buttery and flavorful.
Great place to go for pastries and croissants are excellent
Excellent coffee; individual pastries also excellent but a little expensive at 5.45.
Best Patisserie in the city in my opinion. Absolutely everything is fresh and delicious.
Best biscotti I have had... EVER! Especially those dipped in chocolate. You must try.
Best pastries in the east end
Absolutely wonderful staff, and excellent pastries!
Today 19 August is my birthday . As I cannot be with family due to Covid to celebrate I decided to treat my self .I purchased 2 small individual cakes and they were both just so delicious. I wish I had a birthday more often !!!!! Thank you to Zane Patisserie staff.
New review: something about the coffee has changed… espresso machine sometimes replaced by pod coffee (why would I buy keurig coffee at a cafe when I could make it at home???), but when espresso machine is available coffee tastes awful. Not sure if it is the beans or the process. Such a shame - was once a one stop shop for pastries and drink but now coffee is disgusting. Loses out to Starbucks next doors, hard to support local…. Old review: Wonderful staff, and always pleasant for pastry & coffee. Although if you intend to buy the best pastries in bulk, best to get there earlier in the day before they sell out. Fresh each morning.
Their coffee, pastries and desserts are OK. I ordered the almond croissant but did not taste any almond and it was missing the flaky texture I love in a good quality croissant. Also tried one of their desserts and was not impressed. The flavours didn't come together well and did not taste fresh.
The best almond croissants I've ever had!!!
Amazing variety of foods from simple croissant through to decadent desserts. Tends to be a little pricey.
Awesome experience this afternoon with genuine French high quality pastries! Being from Paris and in a constent surch of quality desserts, I have to admit they are the best so far and their quality of standard is comparable to high quality pastry shops in Paris. I should mention that the place is also super cozy! No need to travel to Paris for a great pastry experience anymore!!
Excellent French inspired pastries for sit down and take away. However the store in not organized and most importantly there is no pricelist anywhere. A medium pie/tart costs $ 35 to takeaway.
I read so many reviews before I came here. There wasn't a lot of options to eat. For savory only plain croissants and quiche. The croissants was good, but I also had good ones on other places, quiche was just okay. Is not a place I would go back, unless I am in the neighborhood and there isn't any other place to go.
