REVIEWS OF Delysées Luxury Desserts IN Toronto

The chocolate almond croissant was one of the best I've ever had. The barrista was kind enough to heat it up in the oven for me. Free WiFi. Gluten free cakes available. A tad on the pricey side.

Rachel Neave

I ordered my birthday cake from Delysées after a recommendation, and I couldn't be happier. Their Wildberry cake was just devine, and it looked even better in person. I will definitely be back to try even more of their desserts after this wonderful experience

Nima Najmaei

Beautiful store. Friendly staff. The sweets were good. Also bought the baguette for home and it was awesome

Christina Quach

Ordered the chocolate passionfruit cake and two lattes at Delysees for a quick desert date. The passion fruit jelly in the cake was a nice and tart component to a rich chocolate desert. The two lattes were dissapointing as they were quite watered down so we wouldn't order that again next time. Staff is super friendly!

I have been a patron of Delysées for around 5 years now, and after all these years they are still hands down the best place for macarons and eclairs. Their new location on Ossington is a sleek and modern cafe designed to showcase their beautiful cakes and deserts. The cafe is designed for presentation and service. There's even a separate counter just for check out, adding a very personal touch. The attendant was very helpful, friendly, and efficient. While we had only planned on getting a dozen macarons, we couldn't help but indulge in their mont blanc which was positively overloaded with chestnut cream. While I find their cakes to be a bit too sweet, their varied flavours of macarons really do hit different. Where other macaron bakeries have different flavours that all taste the same shade of sugar, the macarons at Delysées each have distinct and noticeable flavours. Delysées lives up to it's claim as one of Toronto's finest patisseries, serving some of the city's finest luxury deserts.

Pastries are always gorgeous including their chocolates

Davina Boulineau

I recently ordered a few boxes of macarons, eclairs au chocolat, and the praline chocolate cake for my husband’s birthday! I was blown away! From the first step of ordering and putting my order through all the way to the delivery 2 days later! Not only it was delicious, the presentation was fantastic and my guests were absolutely amazed! I am originally from France and I can tell you that the taste of everything took me back to my childhood in Paris! I more than recommend this place for online delivery! You will love it! Fred is the best! I’m now trying to find another excuse to order more from Delysees! Merci Merci Merci! J’adore!

Eric Chen

Great service, delicious food, good coffee. Decor was great and so was the location. The attention to detail of this establishment is top notch. Very impressive.

Hudson Bernard

Highest quality desserts and a reasonable price. Very reliable and great service.

Nathalie Prézeau

Just did a decadent girlfriends' outing including a stop at Delysées' new location on Ossington. We were charmed by the subtle elegance of the place and the beauty of the presentation, and the nice staff. The delicious macaroons had just the right texture. The fruit-like creations were simply gorgeous. (Don't go with the kind of friend who doesn't want to share!) We paired it with window-shopping along Ossington and mural hunting in nearby alleys.

Connor Jakes

One of the few authentically french tasting baguettes I've had outside of France. The macaroons are as good as I've found here in Toronto. Of course it's no France, but compared to the competition, its well worth the trip and price.

Daniel Stone

The desserts and pastries are excellent! The customer service is fantastic as well, a real gem in the city.

Karina

Not the best French patisserie I've had. I think some of the desserts could be refined. Then again, maybe I've been spoiled with patisserie in Montreal.

Christine

The Rocher was to die for! Spot on to a Ferrero Rocher but obviously way better. The reason I took off a star is because the two staff members helping us told us the white dessert with the chocolate macarons was the most chocolatey dessert they had as it was filled with brownie. It was actually fruit filled and not at all chocolate. Disappointing since it was $10.

Gazalle Ardekani

A very understated space because maybe of the location but every time I go I enjoy it. I’ve only had the coffee and croissants but they are both great! The space doesn’t feel French to me but the croissants are delicious. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well. Very important to have patient staff when there’s so many yummy selections to choose from!

For the past few years I’ve been buying birthday cakes from Delysèes. Although the cakes I bought were tiny, the staff took the time to write “Happy Bday” either on the tiny cakes or on separate chocolate plaques, upon my request. (Thank you!) I do not visit very often as it’s a bit far from where I live, but it’s definitely worth a visit at least for special occasions.

Sam Vandermark

An abundance of beautiful looking pastries makes it very hard to decide which one you want! I chose the dark chocolate eclair which was yummy but on the rich and heavy side (not unsurprising qualities though). My boyfriend had the pain au raisin which he devoured before I could even get a look in, and he said it was absolutely delicious! We didn’t stay long and haven’t tried the coffee but it’s very quiet in there (we visited mid afternoon) so could be good for working but not for open conversation.

Norman Jade Santos

I love all the desserts!cakes ,macaroons and eclair!!!:)

Freeman Pears

There were a few bumps in the road on my order. However they did try very hard to make me happy after the experience and that was very appreciated.

Andrew Mackenzie

Beautiful little reminder of Paris. Although their sweets seem lovely it's their petites sandwiches that makes this a Toronto lunch secret. Small but big on taste, 3 for $10 so you can grab a bag and picnic in Walnut Park for a brief escape.

David Icke

Such good food, sandwiches could be a bit bigger though but i guess its the french experience. Staff are always nice and patient, thanks for having an awesome place on king street

Stephen Sutton

Great pastries but very expensive. Coffee is nothing special. Nice atmosphere.

Andreea Hluscu

Always a fantastic selection of French desserts. Very clean and great customer service.

David

I have been to several small bakeries, and Delysees is nothing special. Other than the amazing presentation of desserts and ambience of the pastry shop, it is not worth the price tag you are paying for the pastries. The shop does have a great selection of macaroons, eclairs, croissants and cakes, but later was told by the front of house staff that most of the pastries are not even made in the shop itself. Most of the pastries such as the macaroons shells, croissants and EVEN THE ECLAIRS are wholesaled in from other manufactures and not made in house by the shop. Very disappointed to find out, they did not make the desserts themselves. It would be cheaper to just go to the manufacture themselves and purchase it from them. Please be advised the next time you decide to come to this bakery.

Fanny Lelorrain

I enjoy this place. Amazing quality food and coffee. It is a bit more expensive than the average but it is worth it. The staff is friendly

Graca Parker

Very good small sandwiches. Delicious pastries regular ou smaller sizes. The service is average.

priyal patel

Omg so so soooooo yummy and pretty

Momina Dar

I don't know why I even go to places with entremets in Toronto because they turn out like this. I had a green apple entremet, around 10$ where the compote/jelly layer had way too much setting agent and was basically a stiff jelly, it was gross. The biscuit was also soggy. Another entremet, which was exotic fruits (mango, passion, coconut) was thankfully edible, but the biscuit was also soggy and the mousse was kind of bland and boring. I feel like luxury is just another word for unnecessarily complicated and pretty with no quality control. This was a waste of money. You can probably make something better at home.

Jamie Pink

Beautiful dessert shop! Their desserts are amazing and I heard that they gonna make this store a cafe starting next Friday! Can’t wait to visit again! ????

Dave Tong

Some great tasting pastries, cakes and croissants. Their specialty is really their macarons; they practically melt in your mouth. Nice ambiance, friendly service and an overall cool vibe... only down side is that it's a bit pricey, but you pay for what you get.

Ehren Cheung

We dropped by after listening to my colleague rave on and on about their macarons. They were very impressive with so many flavours. I thought the Earl Grey Apricot was delicious. A nice seating area too and a patio during the warmer months.

S. K.D.

Their pastries, cakes, macarons, light eats and friendly service makes them one of my favourite spots in the downtown core ????

Anthony Soung Yee

This is not upscale but laid back French pâtisserie on King Street. They have mini sandwiches that are great for a snack, as well as an array of delicious desserts (éclairs, chocolates, mini cakes) and good coffee. Everything is on the pricier side, but worth indulging once in a while.

Mai Ha

Great place for delicious and pretty treats. The almond croissant was light and flaky and I enjoyed the flourless mini cake.

Arthur Lewis

Very cute little place, not a lot of seating available. Great selection of desserts, and friendly staff! A great alternative to a coffee shop.

Joanna Yung

Stumped upon this place after my pilate class at studio lagree ( which is right next to the studio)... absolutely in love with the cute little dessert they sell! The staff are very friendly top

Sarah Yahya

TL;DR: this place is amazing and as a French pastries addict - I 100% recommend ! Let me start off with professing my love for the french pastries and hopefully without sounding cocky, I go to France at least once a year. That's my pilgrimage and that includes the highlights of my research and experiments for delicious, warm, fresh (outta the oven fresh) French pastries. At d'Elysees, I can most definitely vouch for how close they are to the ones in France! Perfect level of flakiness that smothers your lips as you take your first bite. My favourites here would be the Pistachio (which is unique and I haven't really come across this anywhere ) and regular butter croissants. Although the almond croissant is also as good! Ce sont magnifiques ! I've also tried one of their fancy looking cakes - can't recall what it's called but it's one with lychee and earl grey flavour. Not only it looks too good to touch but also tastes as good as it looks! Obviously, ambience wise, this place is nothing short of amazing. So instagrammable for all y'all instagram addicts. They also even have a cute little patio outside which is just perfect with how quiet king street is these days! Thank you D'Elysees for always being there through all of my need-croissants-asap days

magixx

Decent patisserie in Toronto with a variety of desserts

Wine By The Bottle

I've been to France quite a few times and each time I was on the hunt for the best croissant I've ever had. This is it! Merci Fred!

neha khurana

I specially went to this place to buy macrons and to my utter surprise they turned out to be stale. Not only the macrons even the salted caramel brownie turned out to be stale. I usually buy Macarons from St. Lawrence Market and they are always fresh and super delicious. I am never going back to this place ever again. Guys watch out before you decide to shell out extra money for the overly priced macrons.

Carlos Fentanes

There's no way you can choose a bad dessert here. Everything is awesome, like in the Lego movie.

Maryam Qasim

Love you guys! Sent cake to my sis for the second time and everything was on point. Can't wait to be in Canada as soon it reopens and visit you in person. Thanks very much for making her day special.

Osama Leheta

Some of the best coffee in town. Succulent croissant and very friendly staff. The place is spotless clean.

Monica

Such beautiful pastries and desserts. My favourite so far is their key lime tart. It is INCREDIBLE. You must try it, especially if you love those citrusy flavours! I’m not sure if I conversed with the owner when I came by on Monday but he was such a sweetheart! Looking forward to my next visit! They also have macaroons and coffee/tea/lattes. Oh, and a cute little patio out front :) @nomsoftoronto

Karin J

The desserts are pretty to look at and take photo of. The taste is not bad but not worth paying the full price (9.95 before tax each) for it.

Selena Flores

THE BEST LUXURY DESSERTS IN TORONTO! From the unbelievable presentation, the incredible taste, and the best customer service, Fred and his team never fail to impress me. My family and I were not big cake people but after having discovered cake from Delysées in 2019, it's safe to say we're customers for life. I highly recommend the Nutella Tiramisu, the Madagascar Vanilla, or the Cafe Latte. They are show stoppers! Thank you Fred and the Delysées team!

Elyssa Salmon

Really unique macaron flavors. The passionfruit champagne, lemon champagne, crème brulée and birthday cakes are different and really delicious. I come here for their eclairs mainly. They are always changing the flavors but I honestly wish they were more constant. Only complaint is their Madagascar vanilla bean which is more than amazing doesn't make as frequent a feature as it should.

Andrea Vera

Based on my recent experience, I would review it on the following categories. Service: Great. Vey nice ladies. Appearance: It's nice, open and lots of space to sit. Flavour/Taste: OK. Not really out of this world, just average pastries. Price: Overpriced for what it is. $4.50 for a tiny mini eclair that was cold _ not room temperature, did not taste great and $2.50 for macaroons, I could find them for a $1 less and very tasty somewhere else. Verdict: Not coming back.

Nick Z

Ordered a simple cream puff and after my first bite I felt like the pastry was old. The cream was hard, tasted like old milk and the puff pastry was rock solid. After taking a bite and breaking it in two, I found mold on the pastry. I will not be returning. This is simply unacceptable. I had heard of bakeries in Toronto reusing expired and moldy cakes. Never thought it would happen to me in such an expensive pastry shop. The staff however was great, friendly and refunded me for the entire order.

Sam Mansoor

Best croissants in town, never bothered to try (or speak for) anything else as the croissants are head and shoulders above any others. Pricey for sure though.

Robin Pamayah

The best macarons in Toronto and they are to died for. I love their vienoiseri (French Patries) as they are baked fresh daily, it's buttery and very flaky just like in France.

Sascha

Lovely teas and coffees. Desserts are ok

Eleanor Joel

Have always loved Delysees from their time on King West, I think this location is even better! Their new cake creations are delicious, and I really like the display cabinets showcasing their wares.

Nikki Wu

Such a cute and delicious bakery! The staff are all really friendly and helpful. They have a huge selection of cakes, eclairs, macaroons, chocolates, and even sandwiches and breads! There are lots of seating, including a patio section for the summer time.

Tuqa T

Choose carefully. Ordered La Royal cake for my husband’s birthday. It was amazing and we really enjoyed it! But we ordered Large Nutella Tiramisu cake for my birthday and it was a huge disappointment. The glaze is thick and the taste is overpowering that you can’t taste any Nutella. The cake is too creamy without much texture so eating it was not pleasant. Felt like eating baby food. Calling it tiramisu just because it is made with mascarpone cheese is misleading. The cake description states that there are “layers of coffee and vanilla sponge cake” but there is only one layer in the bottom that is way too thin you hardly know it’s there. Ordered the croissant collection but we replaced almond croissants with cheese. I’m not sure what type of cheese it is but it has a burned taste to it. They are filled with something like béchamel (I guess) whatever it is was not delicious. I ended up removing the cheese and the filling. Butter and chocolate croissants were good. Owner and staff are very friendly. Delivery was on time.

Roman Tymchyk

Great selection of macarons. Loved their tea. Nice cozy atmosphere. I think I prefer the simplicity of macaron flavours at Butter Avenue on Queen street, but this offers some interesting combinations. Quite pricy.

Kaidi Cao

Bought them from Yorkdale. Macaroons taste good, better than what I expected❤️

Zee Jafri

This place is amazing! I ordered a cake and macaroons for my wife’s birthday and I must say both things were super delicious! The items were well worth the price and I absolutely cannot forget the exception customer service the owner Fred showed. I highly recommend this place!

Jim Chan

Must try all the different éclairs! Don't miss on the chocolates, macaroons, breads and coffee. They are really all great!

Anthony S

Delysees has got to be the best French bakery/patisserie in Toronto I have been here twice - first time for macarons and the second time for croissants. They have decent coffee drinks here but the pastries definitely takes the cake (pardon the pun) Really great tasting macarons - lots of different flavours and priced reasonably. The fresh croissants are like fluffy heavenly pillows - so buttery, flakey and soft. I would eat these daily if I lived closer. Their eclairs look absolutely stunning but I haven't gotten around to them yet. Definitely looking to come back to Delysees to try their other offerings!

Borderlnd

Great Croissants and choices of French Classics, The mix of Modernism and 'Homey' Bakery clash and offer a inconsistant atmosphere, Espresso is quite mediocre and when ask about Beans used for Coffee, front store employee didnt have knowledge or experience and didnt make the moment right for me. Food is the Highlight

Aman Moolji

Hands down, the absolute BEST patisserie in the city! Family owned and operated, Delysees produces what I consider to be edible art. The attention to detail does not go unnoticed as every last item coming out of the kitchen is painstakingly hand-crafted into a visceral delight for the senses. Definitely consider this spot next time you feel like treating yourself, or someone you love <3

Nader Tohamy

Well worth the drive. Eclairs, macaroons and cakes, all amazing. Next time I'm going to try some croissants!

Jessica Hoang

I've only had their macarons but I really liked them. The birthday cake flavour was really good and not too sweet. They have lots of other flavours too.

Lucía S

A great treat to celebrate or bring as a gift. The assorted box of mini cakes gets delivered and had both great taste and presentation. The Rose seemed like velvet and there was something for all tastes.

Jay Arana

Simply delicious. Beautiful Desserts, very friendly staff. Not very expensive for the great quality.

Morten Siersbæk

Delysees has the best French patisseries and cakes in Toronto. Quality is consistently so good that I think they would do just fine even in France, except for the slightly elevated price. This is, however, Toronto and prices are generally a bit high if you want great quality pastries and cakes. Regardless, I'm super happy to have a quality pastry shop in the neighbourhood. Definitely worth a detour. Beats both Rahier (used to be my favourite) and Nadege in my opinion.

VoudouLounge

A friend brought these by the house to sample and I literally couldn’t believe my eyes. These desserts are a true work of art and taste just as good as they look. Awesome work on these creations to the team there as I can’t wait to go visit them one day in person when I’m in that area????????

Andrea Shop

Whenever I have a craving for a sweet treat, this is my go-to spot. All the pastries so yummy.

Abby Lee

You cannot go wrong with anything you order. Their desserts are a real treat! Loved this place since they were on King West... so happy they're back with a physical location!

Susie Ellis

Amazing food & pastries. It's like walking into a bakery in France. The little sandwiches are all delicious, and the chocolate croissant was perfectly flaky.

Viktor M .

Horrible , horrible expresso . The guy who owns the store is very hard working and nice . His wife the Filipino lady ... very bossy and jelouse . I watch her nugging on the husband many times too. Not cool . The Pastries are good . Washroom is very dirty on weekends . Have to be Honest here . Two Stars only from me . Fix you expresso and clean your washroom . Hire friendly staff !!

Darcy Merkur

The best desserts in Toronto! Super high quality. Would highly recommend.

Stuart Sackler

Some of the best croissants you may ever eat can be found here. The desserts are a treat for the eye and the palate.

Jason Allen

The entrance was difficult to find as the signage is quite minimal. I got a caramel cake and was disappointed by the taste. It certainly is a work of art, but it didn't live up to its looks.

Ivan Seliverstenko

Great place, amazing deserts. Presentation is top notch, feels like you walked in art gallery

Negar Javan

Nothing is better than seeing another store of Delysees. Great new location with super delicious desserts. Congratulations Fred and the team for the new location.

Vincent Lee

So convenient to be able to pick up cake at TD McEwan. Delysees quality and convenience within the PATH. Prefect.

Ayyyna Budaeva

My husband and I LOVE this place. We often order their almond croissant and eclairs, and try to visit the cafe as often as we can. It's our favourite Saturday afternoon treat :)

Niall Tamayo

Amazing place... all their food is delicious! It is pretty pricy(small cakes ~8$, macaron ~3$) however always good service. I remember meeting the owner and I told him it's my first time eating a macaron and he gave us one to try! Ever since then been coming here to try all the different flavours!

Kenith Jung

One of the most delightful and memorable dessert cafes that I have visited. Desserts are displayed extremely well, aesthetic and sophisticated.

Michael Plastina

I mean, it's delicious, but with sterile decor and strange choices in overly loud music - most people sit on the patio out front in the warmer months. Also: expensive! I suppose rent must be paid and all, but the pastries here aren't really worth what they're selling for with all the competition about.

Digital Marketing Press

Love it! A little taste of what every European city enjoys and I hope Torontonians will get a lot more of it in the future. Great service and some of the best cakes you'll find anywhere in TO.

Ben Wakeford

Their cakes are amazing, but based in my confirmation call with then I am unsure if they actually prepare online orders ahead of time like it makes you think they will. That being said, the cake design here is beautiful and they clearly care about their work.

Christine Cabral

I LOVE this place. The pastries are beyond beautiful and each one of them are filled with a beautiful flavour. This is a great place to come enjoy a luxurious pastry with a delicious cup of coffee or tea.

Elisabeth Heidinga

My favourite chocolate croissants by far. They are soft and buttery and fresh. It needs to melt in your mouth in my French opinion. The baguettes are nice too. I haven't tried their cakes yet because I don't really like their look or style (prefer Nadège).

Larie L.

This is by far the best French bakery in Toronto! Although a little bit pricey, everything you buy here is worth it. I bought their popular eclairs and I must say that they're as good as the eclairs we tried in Paris. My favourite is the Dark Chocolate eclair. Airy pastry shells, rich dark chocolate pastry filling and thick chocolate glaze, one bite and you're in heaven. Also bought their mini cakes ... beautifully presented and pretty to look at you don't even want to eat it! I will surely come back here to try their macarons as we're still on the hunt for the best macarons in Toronto.

Ariane Renaud

I ordered a custom slab cake for a birthday party from Delysees. The service was amazing; everything from the initial emails to helping ensure my cake got to the venue in one perfect piece. The uniqueness and look of the cake, the quality of the ingredients, and the amazing service provided to me were worth every penny. The staff went above and beyond and I could not have been happier with the end result. My guests all loved it too (taste and presentation!). I will definitely order from them again and would not hesitate to recommend Delysees to anyone!

Jo

Visited this bakery on a Monday, I came here expecting to buy a box of 5 eclairs. However their variety offered was only two different flavours so I opted for macaroons instead. They have a pretty large variety of macarons. All the flavours sounded delicious. My favourite one was the hazelnut. The macarons were made perfectly but if I had a choice I still prefer the ones from butter avenue. But these ones are still really good. A box of macaron here is pretty pricey as prices went up. It is now 6 pieces for $15, 10 for $25 and 20 for $50. The 6 piece macaron set comes in a plastic bag which is not visually appealing. Whereas the 10 and 20 come in a really nice box. This is great for gifting. Even though there were only two flavours of eclairs I still wanted to try one. So I ended up getting the hazelnut eclair. The eclair was beautiful. It had a nice gold colour on it. The taste was pretty good. The eclair was full of cream and the crust was nice and thin. Overall, I will come again to try the cakes. Recommended but pricey.

Mohammad Emami

I love their sweets and pastries. The tea they serve is awesome! The only reason that I’m giving a 4-star rating are as follow: 1. They’re just using a Nespresso machine for the coffee. For a French pastry of this scale, prestige, and price, I’d expect them to serve premium espresso coffees with proper espresso machines. 2. They need to retrain their staff on customer service. It just seems the staff are not trained well and efficient. 3. I was among the first 10 to get into the store on the weekend. However, the almost croissants were sold out already before I could get to them. I learned their kitchen is not in-house, but they need to do a better demand planning. Other than that, I should say they are one of the best in town and highly recommend it to you!

Sabrina Silk

Always come here to order macarons. They are the freshest and most delicious around. The packaging is beautiful so a great gift. I always bring macarons from here to a dinner party.

CY Siu

Cute and simple shop where everything is slick and clean looking. There are a few seating areas and if you choose to sit to eat, they serve it on a plate instead of bag. They have a very unique ferrero rocher like cake (mini or large) that i've never seen in any shop. Pricing is higher but for uniqueness and good quality. They have very unique macron flavours and colours; 6 macarons for $15 or you can buy inidiv or in larger amounts. Their croissant is very flaky and delicious with good filling (on my gruyere croissant)

alexbn024

The quality and visual appearance of the pastries in this pastry shop is top notch. Great selection of macaroons, eclairs, chocolates and small sandwiches. On the negative side, judgment of some staff members regarding their packaging is questionable... Bought today a box of eclairs as a gift on my flight to West Coast. The girl that assisted me did not have a proper package to keep the box horizontal but insisted that their smaller bag will still work. Asked her few times if she is certain that eclairs are secured enough in the box. She assured me in that. Guess what? Before I even got home, three eclairs got displaced from their paper holders in the box and got bunched up with the rest three, which of course ruined the present. Very disappointing...

Tharmiga R

Super cute place for some quick bites and beautiful patisseries. I love how unique their macaroons are, and the variety of flavours they produce! Definitely worth checking out!

Haley Armstrong- Laframboise

Truly, the best cake we've ever eaten (Large Nutella and Tiramisu cake), and seen, loooked exactly like the photos. We are forever Delysees customers and look forward ot ordering all future desserts from here! Additionally, the customer service and delivery was outstanding!

CRB B

Absolutely beautiful cakes, one of the nicest I’ve ever seen, but the taste is very overpowering, much too rich.

Bilal Akil

Amazing dessert one of a kind in Toronto area, a bit pricy though. They have indoor place to sit and eat. They serve Nespresso coffee if you care.

Tatiana Dudin

Beautiful AND delicious! I recently got a pistachio sphere and mixed macarons and it was awesome. The geometric fruit mousse things are also great. Losing one star because I ordered online for 10:00 am pickup, but when I went by at 10:05 there was no one there. I had to come back at 10:30 to get it.

Maria Flo

Why anybody would give this bakery anything less than 5 stars is beyond me. I come here as this is our neighbourhood bakery and always enjoy their nice coffee and small sandwhiches for breakfast. The Caneles are also a must try - so moist and perfect. The staff is lovely, knowledgeable, and always has the answers to our questions. There really should be a Delysees at every corner of the city rather than Tim Hortons or Starbucks!

Yuubae Ch.

The atmosphere of the place was quite nice. The cakes looked delicious and my selection (a vanilla and Jasmine mousse cake with a cookie base) was both adorable and tasty.

Ricardo Jota

Really good pastry and a decent latte. Not super busy during the weekends, so you should have a place to sit.

Cecile Nguyen

Made a stop since we used to drive by all the time. It’s pretty spacious and clean. The counter displays beautifully decorated and created sweets. We had an eclair for $4.50 and it looked very pretty. Taste wise, it was good but not amazing. 3 stars given as other upcoming bakeries and cafes have much better and eye catching decor.

Miss Sue

Thank you for the hand-delivered anniversary cake, Fred. We really enjoyed your creation and it made our day very special. Will be ordering from here always- it was such a tasty cake. I can’t wait to try the others.

Adam Pouget

Quality pastry, macarons and customer service. Prices are reasonable considering the skill involved in their product.

Life is Better On Vacation

We loved the huge display of colourful macarons. The ones that we sampled were delicious. We also tried a small croissant sandwich. We will be back for more.

Joanna Sable

There are a great many delicious French patisseries in Toronto but Delysees sets itself apart with one of the most creative kitchens around. Everything is made in house and everything is not only delicious but looks like works of art. A super friendly staff is patient as you ask a million questions and take hours to decide which delicacy to purchase.

Joanne Lawrence

Amazing customer service! Fred is truly a gem of a human. Can't wait to order for myself from this Toronto institution, but in the meantime I'm happy my client is happy with their gift from Delysées all thanks to Fred.

alicexxq

Used to really like delysee but they messed up my online bday cake order, which I even called the store and confirmed. The colour, flavour, writing of the cake were all wrong, as staff claimed they did not receive the order and gave me a random cake in the fridge which looked at least three days old. No explanation was given. Terrible experience.

alastair clarke

Amazing! These desserts are works of art! They are so beautiful that we were reluctant to take a bite! And then, delicious! For the Earl Grey/ blueberry, I would have added more Earl Grey. The lemon curd log was actually much better than we imagined. Scrumptious!! Soooo good!

Gabby

I always come here whenever I feel like I derserve a macaroon(s) after work, hangry, or getting macaroons as a birthday gift... or to myself lol :D my favourite macaroon place of all in Toronto! It’s tasty to eat!! A little bit on the expensive side however it’s well worth it for the delicious quality!! Customer service is excellent and I would definitely recommend!!! Thanks a million guys! Great job!

Melanie Auld

The most beautiful and delicious desserts ever! I went in the last time I was visiting Toronto and had the dessert of my dreams. This will be my first stop next time I am back!

Zoe Chik

Beautiful french pastries. Some of the best macarons.

Prachy Mohan

Very interesting flavours which is fun to choose from and really cool pastries. Super big place with a decent size patio. I had the matcha and London fog eclairs and both were yummy.

Ahmad Atiya

I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff is pleasant, seating and location are nice, and I'm happy to report that the food isn't just hype or looks. It tastes amazing! I had several of the desserts and a few of the macaroons, and everything was flawless. Definitely some of the best tasting desserts I've ever had. Presentation was exceptional as well!

Emir

Great selection of pastries with good coffee :)

Kathy Ho

Delysees is a HUGE bakery! The longest display ever of colourful sweets!! First there are the baked breads such as croissants. Then a good section of salty baked items such as mini sandwiches. The next section is a variety of mini cakes, extremely beautiful for about $8-13 each. Then, rows and rows and rows of macarons. Not the typical boring flavours! Artisan-like choices such as Lime Basil, Apricot Black Tea, Cheesecake (with blue colour). The last section is the eclairs. Every item is so pretty! They also make chocolates and small bags of cookies.

Anaïs Mury

Best pastries in town! Flavors, textures are excellent. Not only heaven for your palate, they are equally beautiful for the eyes. Also. Best Macarons. They make me miss Pierre Herme a little less. :)

Gad Acosta

My first macarons were brought from Orléans, France, by my friend, and they set the bar too high. The ones from Delysèes are good, but other things such as sandwiches and pastries are just ok. I had a major disappointment when I bought their spherified balsamic vinegar, but other than that they are all right.

Karin Tang

A nice and quiet place to have treats and coffee. They are not centrally located but definitely worth a visit.

MK MD

The Ultimate Pistachio Eclipse is incredible. The hype is real.

Katie Lee

Beautiful desserts, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend!

Adam Corey

Just phenomenal!! The freshest, most delicious pastries I've ever had. Macarons are so cute and so tasty, with unique flavors. The mini cakes and tarts are a true work of art! Great coffee, as well. If we lived around here, I would be here every week...if not every day! What a treat!

I ordered an Earl grey Blueberry Heart cake on Tuesday at MceWan store location for a birthday. I saw the staff wrote down my name and phone number on a piece of paper along with other people’s orders. She also confirmed with me that I wanted the big $40 heart shape cake for pick up on Friday at 6pm. Because of other people’s review about Delysees messed up their birthday cake order before, I came to check on my order on Thursday night. The staff said my order has not come yet but would be here on Friday. Today, I was just at the Mcewan picking up my cake, they did not have my order. There were two other Earl grey blueberry heart cakes in the fridge . But I know they were in the fridge on Tuesday, Thursday and still there on Friday. I told the staff that I would not accept a stale cake, and the staff told me back that I could get a different cake from the fridge which arrived a day ago at 10% discount, or I can go without a cake. Regardless whose fault it was, MceWan store or Delysees bakery, this was a terrible experience. This is not a place that I would recommend.

Delicious pastries... Tasty latte!

Whenever I see a place that sells macarons, I always go in and try the pistachios macaron and I must say, Delysees stays at #1 for me. Although I’m curious how come sometimes the macaron is chewy and sometimes it’s not?

Sunny Kwong

Delicious single serving pastries in a beautiful box.

Arshan Jamshed

Nice laid back atmosphere with great service and delicious desserts!

Sadaf Rai

Delicious desserts and great customer service! A bit on the pricy side , so a great treat to yourself after a long week. I would also suggest taking the time to actually sit there, the atmosphere is nice with lots of seating. I loved the earl grey dessert and the passionfruit-mango macaroon was to die for! Will definitely be back

Alex Heath

Great pastries and coffee at a reasonable price point! Laid back environment and big open space to sit and relax for a few minutes or a couple of hours. Lots of pastries to choose from and a great selection each time I've visited. Staff is very friendly and helpful and do a great job keeping the store clean and inviting. One of my favourite pastry and coffee shops in downtown Toronto.

Jewls Fremen

Such an good find! Customer service and presentation was all above my expectations! Im from Ottawa and was there a couple of nights ago and got 9 of the cakes! My family loved it all when we got back to Ottawa. Pistachio and the apple were my favourites, but all was really tasty! Tasted great and looked beautiful.. they were closing, but Karen let me and my family in for our takeout order, which was fantastic, she helped us pick our flavours spot on to what we like... There such beautiful cakes to pick from, coming back next time I am in town :)

Alfonso Correa

Great textures, delicious desserts & well executed.

Neda Mirjabari

LOVE this place. The desserts are amazing, but the customer service and staff are even better. Never had a dessert that was less than incredible! On the expensive side, but you get what you pay for! So worth it. Treat yourself!

eunice agunod

Simply the best! Thank you so much for delivering my order in such a very short notice. My boyfriend and I love the cake, we didnt want to eat it because it was too beautiful!

Jodi Stodgell

Went on a rainy Sunday. 2 young employees there. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Excellent service. Desserts were divine. True creations.

JohnnyWhiteFlash

Was honestly very hyped about the place. The desserts looked amazing! Unfortunately, all 4 of my choices tasted like straight gelatin and corn syrup. I couldn't taste any of the flavor profiles and was unfortunately unable to finish even 1 treat due to the lingering aftertaste it leaves in my mouth. (It melted a bit since we had our heat all the way up in the car)

Ronny Tartal

Delicious pastries! An absolute must try!!

Baby To

Due to pandamic, recently placed Macaron gift box order online close to 5pm and have it delivered to a friend. Quick delivery mid day the next day and my detailed special instructions were fulfilled. I called to confirm my order status, the person was very polite. And of course my friend made a comment that the macarons were delicious!! Great service and quality, worth the price.

Ice-cream Alchemist

These are pretty disappointments. The description for both desserts mentioned "layers of vanilla sponge cake". There was not a trace of cake in either. Other than a cookie bottom layer on the tiramisu, the whole dessert was cream and mascapone which was cloying, heavy and mushy. I could not detect anything remotely like tiramisu in texture or flavour. The strawberry shortcake was equally mushy and flat in flavour. They would be delicious for those who eat with their eyes only.

Brittany Tom

Premium French patisserie and boulangerie in King West. Huge selection of beautiful and elegant desserts. Great service and premium quality well worth the price tag.

Ishrat Trishna

I love chocolate croissants and have tried more than a few dozen around the city, but the one from here is one of the two I alternate between and the only one in downtown Toronto. The croissant has a gentle richness, two lines of chocolate so that there’s chocolate in every flaky, buttery, airy bite. It’s something I treat myself to 2-3 times a week. Thank you Delysees for such a beautiful but simple pleasure!

Suzy

Such an amazing find! This bakery does gorgeous cakes and pastries which they can customize for you. Customer service, delivery and packaging was all above expectations and the cake was perfect! Tasted great and looked beautiful… definitely would recommend ordering from Delysees anytime you need a cake - or just want a cake!

Andrew Williams

This is a nice french pastry cafe. The treats are pricey but also very good. It is a small space but it accommodates a lunch time crowd. Mainly caters to a take out crowd. Coffee is also served. The various types of eclairs and tarts are what I have ordered. They have croissants and sandwiches in the display window as well.

Lisa Heather

You should try Passion Mango Eclair. So delicious and so fancy Eclairs???? I love there

Steve Tso

We used Delysees for our Christmas client gift campaign. Fred and his team executed perfectly despite a number of changing variables on our end. Everyone was happy and we got a bunch of compliments. Thanks Delysees!

Nichole Caven

Best pastries. Now I have to go all the way to the TD towers to get their delicious macaroons ????

Adelia

This has become my favourite cafe in the city! The owner and staff are always warm and welcoming. I can't get enough of or find better macaroons anywhere.

Graham Inglis

Love the staff location and owners. Super polite and great service. Could not ask for More. Super clean facility spotless! Great job. Graham BracerEV Owner

Mandy Howarth

Love stopping in here for a tea, sweet treat and reading a book. Service is always great and the atmosphere (inside and on the patio) is very cozy.

Linda B

Nice place. I wouldn't say their cakes are the best I have had, however, the croissants (in particular the hazelnut croissant) are really good! Nice atmosphere and good service. Good variety. Nice patio in the summer.

Jay Sauer

Stylish French bakery. High quality deserts and drinks. A bit pricey though. They have WiFi and a clean bathroom.

Madalena Anastacio

Your luxury desserts are absolutely luxuriously delicious. My daughter, who lives 4000 kms from here, ordered a huge box of assorted pastries to be delivered to me before Christmas. The great aroma filled my house. Yesterday, I tasted your tiramisu... soft, delicate... it melts in your mouth... My children became big fans of yours. And so did I. Thank you! :)

Daniel Alonso Jiménez

It is an ideal place to go to eat delicious cakes and very well attended by the waitresses and manager. excellent work team

Leon

The shop is beautiful and draws you in. The desserts are even more beautiful . The taste had a tough act to follow and it certainly exceeded our expectations which were sky high. We think the price is justified . You get an extremely well crafted crafter dessert with the highest quality ingredients. We will be back to try some others but it’s going to hard to beat the triple choc joy.

Mark D

There is nothing authentic French about this bakery. Artificial taste, if you ever tried a real eclair, you would spit this mushy "authentic French" stuff out. It's overpriced, overrated and not worth it.

Marija Funduk

You will be beyond happy with any choice you make at Delyees! The cakes and eclairs are hands down work of art which will leave your taste buds beyond happy! I have partnered with Fred for catering events multiple times in the past which were absolute perfection. For special celebrations Delysees is our dessert of choice! They are tasty, beautiful, fresh and Fred and his team ensure that they are delivered as promised and with extra care!

Rozana N

Great selection of macaroons, cakes, eclairs, individual cakes, chocolate bon bons and mini sandwiches. Yummmm.....

Realizing how long this post is after writing it, here is a quick summary- packaging and visuals: 5/5 tastes, textures: 5/5 service: 5/5 value for price: 5/5 In short, I REALLY enjoyed my experience with Delysees :) This bakery absolutely lives up to its name of luxury desserts! If you want to spoil someone and make them feel extra special, you’ll want to get them Delysees. My experience with them from beginning to end, was incredible. I had several questions about different items online and they were very quick to respond which helped with my ordering. I also had the pleasure of receiving items both via delivery and in-store. First, I loved the communication I received from the delivery driver - not sure if it’s the norm or mine just happened to be exceptional that day but he called me before arriving, giving me about 10 mins head’s up, plus he was super friendly. From the moment I was handed the gorgeous black and gold bag, I felt assured that the person to whom I was gifting would be impressed and love it at first sight! Definitely got, “ooh”s and, “ah”s when boxes were opened too. The base on which the desserts were placed were even customized with the store’s signature black and gold design matching the bag and box instead of a generic cardboard/silver cake base being used. Each item inside was beautiful and seemed to be handled with the utmost care. Didn’t see a single weird, out of place lump on these desserts! Taste and textures were exquisite. I really loved that the pastries werent just super sweet sugar bombs. I find that some places just make raspberry flavoured things overly sweet and loses all its tartness but found that theirs was a perfect balance. (passionfruit is also super yummy here!) I was pleasantly surprised with the larger than expected portion sizes. Some fancy places give you these annoyingly small bite sizes. Treats here mostly seem to be a decent shareable size (depending how good u are at sharing haha). Some of the individual desserts I had were placed on a biscuit base which I think is a really fun, thoughtful touch. Most places just place things on a piece of cardboard/foil, but Delysees throw in an extra little, bonus cookie - I dont think it’s meant to be part of the main feature but you can def eat it with a cup of tea. Also had a chance to stop by their cafe (sidebar, location is across the street from a popular Toronto brewery so if anybody needs to try and convince their partner who enjoys beer to visit Delysees, you get desserts and they can pick up some beer!) - super cute inside, clean and elegant decor, in-store staff also very warm and welcoming. Price is very reasonable compared to other similar style Toronto bakeries but Delysees has one of the best packaging. One of the cakes I ordered was only $50 - unique flavour combo that wasn’t offered anywhere else (coconut, chocolate, raspberry YUM!), comfortably serves 10 people. Other ones I found at that price point only served 6 so I would have to get a larger size but then I would be charged $20+ more. If i had one crticism, it would be that their website doesn’t share all the info that I needed (eg, ingredients due to allergies, care instructions because some items weren’t going to be eaten same day) so I had to contact them but again, they’re SUPER responsive so not really a problem (and on par w other bakery websites I searched lacked similar info). Also, I personally like being able to see what a cake looks like inside (eg, layers) and not many cakes have that picture avail online (neither do other bakery websites) but I decided to take a chance and am soooo happy that I did! I have no doubt that I will be ordering from here again in the future!

marissa t

I bought two Delysses desserts from Mcewans at one Bloor street and one tasted really old and one was mouldy inside in the middle and I had already eaten it. Disgusting!

Saul Juarez

Very nice pastry shop. Looks clean the product looks fresh, the mini sandwiches have great flavor I like that they are small this give you the opportunity to have more then one and have a better eating experience. Overall great place

Janet C

Awesome macarons! We walked over half an hour to get here and it was worth the trip. This is an adorable little French bakery that has macarons just like the ones we had in Paris. Friendly staff too. Check it out!!

Jeff Whittam

Incredible pastries, beautiful cakes...Chocolate..... but probably the best Croissant I've ever had.... And yes I've been to France many times.

Shak Ch

Drove 45 minutes because I heard they had the best pastries in the GTA. Turns out it’s true. The customer service was amazing too. Ended up buying one of each pastry and macaroon in the store. Highly recommend.

Martyna Siekanowicz

Such delicious cakes and macrons! The owner was so kind when I came to pick up my cakes, you can tell so much care went into the baking them. The blueberry jasmine earl grey cake was my favourite. Very impressed with the quality and taste! Will definitely be returning in the near future.

Valentina Karacic

Macarons to die for. Whether you buy one or a box - it is an ah-mazing taste nevertheless.

Jim Wallace

Good service with lovely and tasteful baked goods. Love the small sandwiches. They make a great lunch at 3 for $9.

Ankush Verma

Staff was really informative on the desserts and were really nice. Decided to try the strawberry dessert as they are made daily snd sell out. The dessert itself was good but the $10+ price tag is a little steep for the portion. I will however return to try other desserts time to time as a treat, especially the eclairs

Mike Wang

Very pretty cakes and baked goods. The servers would use gloves to grab the items.

Jac H

The had pre-ordered a cake online and it did not appear as it had in the photo online. I emailed the owner and was told that they would update their website to let the public know that their cakes don't always appear as it does in the photo. Also when I went to the store to pick up the cake, I was in line to pay but the cashier took payment from somebody else that had come into the store after I had.... Also, they did not tape down the lid to the cake box, which I found odd...

Sally

They have some really pretty desserts! I got three items which was about $18. I ordered the Trio chocolate cake, which is a layered mousse cake. It was not too sweet and loaded with chocolate ???? I also tried their macarons: Red Velvet and Lychee Rose. The red velvet was delicious but the lychee rose was a little disappointing. It didn’t taste as fresh and when I bit into it, the macaron inside looked all melted and wet. For a luxury dessert place, the customer service was just ok, nothing really special. I wasn’t greeted when I came in. The server just answered my question and helped me pack my order ????????‍♀️

Donald Hoi

Beautiful and yummy french pastries, just looking at them makes me drool

Sasha Tailor

I never leave reviews but Fred has gone above and beyond multiple times for me and I can't thank him enough! I discovered this place during COVID - I wanted to ship some cakes to a friend for her birthday and this was when everything was closed, but they delivered the most beautiful box. I ordered my mom a cake and pastries from them for Mother's day and she loved it.

Samantha ONG

Superb! I had the earl grey blueberry, and the praline rocher. They were both excellent. Well priced for what they make. I will definitely come back. Pictures posted on my instagram. @syooshiii

Best almond croissants ever! Cute French bakery & Cafe that offers a wide variety of authentic desserts. While I find their macaroons a bit too sweet, their almond croissants are amazing. The only one that's comparable is the ones from Nadège. They will set you back $3.95+tax a pop, but it's so worth it for that flaky deliciousness! Friendly and informative staff. Great place to catch up with old friends over a pastry & coffee or tea!

Yuliya Dumanska

I have tried many items from Delysees over the years and they all were exceptional. This summer I ordered a few cakes, mostly raspberry chocolate, for a pickup from the McEwan foods at the financial district, the cakes were frozen but fresh and the ordering went without any hiccups. Today yet again I bought a flourless chocolate cake from Pusateris on Sherway and it is delicious. Thank you Fred for all your hard work!

Crystal C L

Deeelicious! The earl grey blueberry croissant was perfection. Unique, well thought out pastries make this place a must visit when in Toronto. You made my croissant dreams come true with this one!

crazi3claa

Best luxury desserts you can have in the city! Couldn’t be happier. Placed an online order yesterday and by the time I woke up my freshly baked goodies were hand delivered. Will definitely order again and again and again.

C Watson

My brother and I visited the 20 Logan Ave location this morning. It was exquisite! Excellent service and divine pastries. I bought gifts for two friends - perfectly packaged boxes of individual delightful cakes - and a couple of treats for myself (of course!) I hope to have a reason to go back soon. I highly recommend!

Farah Parkar

Absolutely love their cakes!! It's so creamy and so rich. They deliver just in time for a good occassion. Must try!!

Leila K

Delysees is fantastic! Everything I have tried is delicious and presented well but the service is amazing. We ordered croissants and they were delivered warm. We also ordered a birthday cake and everything came packaged properly. I highly recommend for any occasion.

Michelle Kim

Delysées has the most delicious and some of the prettiest cakes and desserts, but they also have outstanding customer service. I had ordered a birthday cake online, but due to a bizarre system glitch, the wrong cake had gotten delivered. Even though it was outside their business hours, they went above and beyond to get the right cake to me on a Saturday night. The owner, Fred, personally delivered it and we ended up with two absolutely delicious cakes! Thanks so much Delysées team! I cannot express my gratitude enough!!
