Jonathon Rivait

Michael Beirne

Great variety of great tasting breads.

Glenn Dickler

Great bakery more of the old style of baking

Gilles Frenette

A small 2-person bakery, making daily bread and traditional pastries. Come in before noon if you want to meet the baker, as they work the early shift. They have a very nice bakery/kitchen, so I think they must do catering or other work. Pastries include a decent selection of butter and other tarts (traditional, pecan, lemon, coconut, chocolate), and a few croissants and danish to round it off. Not a sit-down place and not coffee-focused. Meant to be a daily stop for those really into fresh, quality breads. Tarts: firm filling, but pressed pastry. Not flaky :(. Still damn tasty tho!

Katie Goodfellow

Great bread, sweet treats, good service. Be sure to bring cash or debit, as it does not take credit cards.

Jordan DeWit

Try the butter tarts!

Linda Brown

Almond croissants are beyond perfect ♥️♥️

Everything about this place is fantastic! The service is top notch, the girl who helped me was friendly and gave great recommendations. I bought the Turkish olive loaf, a brownie and the pumpkin pie tart, with a coffee. All absolutely delicious.

Everything I’ve had from here is good, but I will have to stop buying bread here until they fix their machine that cuts it. Last time I got a loaf here they cut it into botched, 2-inch thick slices. Not worth it.

Wasn't impressed with the quality of meat for my sandwich also no mustard added. The bread used to make the sandwich was delicious along with the banana bread I purchased to take home.

Always love their sourdough! The cashier was very helpful and got my loaf cut in store. Can't wait to try it with some avocado later! ????????

I love this place. Always fresh and delicious baked goods. A must visit in Leslieville.

Kris

I got a loaf of bread which was excellent. Also tried the banana bread and oatmeal banana muffin— both good. They weren’t too sugary as most bakery items tend to be. I just wish they had larger loaves of banana bread, and added some chocolate chips! Recommend popping by one a lazy Sunday to start your day off right!

Virginia MacDonald

I think of the Logan St. location as my "bread box" for our sourdough and croissant needs!

If you enjoy being spoken to like a moron and looked at like a criminal, simply try to pay with a $100 note here! Will they apologize that they can't accommodate you and offer some alternatives? No. They will behave as if you are the stupidest person they ever met. As a bonus - over-priced, deeply average bread and cakes.

John Ianni

Tastes like fresh bread in there! Have a good variety of white to dark bread and also sweets. Prices are somewhat elevated since it is manual work for large parts ($6 for a loaf of around 1lb)

Sheena Yap Chan

Came here to get some coffee and love the selection of Breads and treats that they offer and price wise it’s not too bad. Will have to come back and try their sandwiches.

A historic, little bakery with amazing goods! The sourdough bread is fantastic, the scones are delicious and their croissants and egg-tarts are to die for! It's a cozy corner in the heath of Toronto! I'm always looking for an excuse to visit this place!

A cute little take-out bakery. They make delicious sandwiches and savoury pies. And my favourite almond croissant in the city. Twice baked! Giving this place a 4 instead of 5 only because I often show up in the afternoon and they are already sold out. Make more almond croissants! Fresh everyday.

Brendalee Rogers

Double baked almond croissant is delicious

I love this bakery and the smell of fresh breads baking. I come for the gluten free double chocolate almond cookies and was delightfully surprised they also had #glutenfree pumpkin muffins. Not certifiable gf.

Catharine Capener

We had some excellent butter tarts - they have a great selection, as well as 3 danishes (1 - excellent blueberry cheese, and 2 good cherry). Well worth a visit.

Jay Borenstein

I discovered this gem recently, so far have sampled the cookies, scones and muffins, and they're all fresh and delicious. Highly recommend for your daily carb fix!

Kieran Daley

I popped in last week around 1200 pm. I'm standing at the counter waiting to be served. Meanwhile, the two girls are just standing there in the kitchen, stuffing their faces. I don't recommend eating in front of, or instead of, serving customers. Then I look around and see there's a meager bread selection; again. Yeah, they have some out-dated sweets for your grandma to enjoy with her tea, but their focus should be on the breads. Brick Street used to have a decent selection, but that was a while ago. I would recommend trying Leslieville Cheese, Andrea's Bakery on Gerrard Street, or even Blackbird in Kensington Market Any of theses places have much friendlier service, and a better selection of breads.

Ricardo Arruda

Sumeet Vats

Pop in a few days a week for amazing treats! Love their selection of tarts and baked goods.

Phillip Coupal

None of the staff wearing masks. Just a bit too flippant about public safety and good hygiene. Baked goods have improved greatly over time. Too bad I will have to wait until all this is over before I will dare to return. PS People might say that if you have a concern like this to bring it up to the establishment. There is no email address and the phone is answered by a machine. Seems like they are overwhelmed or perhaps they don't care.

Tara Canning

Best almond croissant ever. Was working area today. Lady was very nice. Lovely little spot.

Char Chan

Billie K

Pretty pricey. I've tried their croissants which arent too bad and the spinach turnover which leaves a lard-like film on the roof of ur mouth and isn't stuffed enough.

John Macleod

Bought two blueberry muffins. Couldn’t eat them. Dry, chewy and a funny taste like disinfectant. Maybe a bad batch, but we won’t be back.

Karen B

Picked up a dozen croissants (butter, almond, chocolate) and they were all so delicious. I haven't seen that many beautiful layers inside a croissant in a long time. I had a leftover one today (somehow a week old because I forgot it was there) and it was still amazing.

Yana Mayzenger

Amazing bakery! Wonderful selection of baked goods and bread! I bought walnut sourdough bread and double-baked almond croissants. It was sooooooo delicious!

This place smells so good and the staff are always nice. I've tried the olive fougasse, parsley and basil loaf, ciabatta bun (very powdery - but delish!), and the Portuguese corn bread loaf. Everything has been great so far -- but the corn bread has compelled me to write this review. It is so tasty! I will definitely be getting it again! They also do have prepped foods (sandwiches) and desserts - all of which look great - but no plant-based options (other than their bread). :)

Robert Besunder

Two or three "go to" bakeries in Toronto for great sourdough bread, and this is one of them. Consistently good. Also a nice selection of cookies, tarts, croissants and other treats. Always pleasant service too.

Irtaza Tahir

The walnut sourdough bread here was not bad. Service was good too. What i was most dissapointed about was their almond croissant. It barely had any almond paste filling - it was like eating a normal small-to-medium size croissant. But worse, in that the pastry tasted stale and the texture was very off. The pastry was hard and slightly rubbery - o really wonder if it might have been a day old. I guess thats what u get for the price of $2.75 when other bakeries are asking for $.75 more.

Wonderful bakery in the neighborhood with great coffee and baked goods. They have a wide variety of bread and baked goods. Everything is baked fresh. Their products are consistent and always top notch. I recently tried their soup for the first time and it was a great afternoon snack.

Allen Rahni

good fresh breads, usually have to be fast otherwise sold out, the drinks they offer from time to time, not so great.

Absolutely love the desserts but after being told “they’re out of coffee” the last two visits.. my mom went back in and asked my the coffee couldnt be made and the lady working there said because she would have to change the filter .. and that they already made two pots that day?? I feel like the staff there could be more accommodating to make the pot of coffee for customers and just let us know “it will be ready in 5 mins” just disappointed twice about the lack of coffee (because it is really good) but to hear that was the reason was even more so disappointment. Would be a 5 star but the staff made it a 3

A Petrang

After reading some comments about how bad their customer service is, I had to chime in and call out bs... I called early morning and phone was answered with helpful happy customer service... That's all I have to say about that ????

Carson Morris

Not what it was before. Not sure if the place has changed hands but the quality has slid in the wrong direction.

jesse

Delicious chunky chocolate cookie! rich, dark, and gluten free

Lynne Ward

I would sometimes come here for bread but never again the door was wide open I was trying to read a sign on the door a lady came out of nowhere and started telling me only one person in the store at a time I had a baby stroller with my young babies with me when I tried to explain I was trying to read the sign you stormed into the back they don't value my business fine we left I'll never go back.

Such friendly service and delicious freshly baked goods! I always go there for their variety of tarts. So far I've tried their butter pecan and chocolate drizzled pecan tarts and loved both! The shell is light and fluffy, and the filling is so sweet and gooey. I've also had their almond croissants and WOW, they are so good.

The telephone service is dreadful here. I telephoned tge nain outlet on Queen Street East in the Beach (3 times) and NO ONE answered. I wanted to order a dozen Portugese Tarts for a friend in hospital - crestfallen, I telephoned Loblaw's at Leslie and Lake Shore Boulevard East. Maria answered the phone, took my order with alacrity, and Ace packaged up the goods. Many businesses, today treat the telephone like an ugly stepsister - I refuse to let this lack of customer service go unreported. To be fair, the quality of the baked goods at Brick Street Bakery is stellar - answer your phone!

Alexandra Hopkins

Amazing food, and great customer service. I ordered a ton of items over the phone and was able to pick up the next day, order was perfect!

Sabina Wong

The BEST hamburger buns. Fresh bread is good. Sourdough really really good. I did not like the tarts but that's just me.

ann

Passed by and couldn’t help myself and grabbed some goodies. It was very yummy and not overly sweet! Will visit again!
