First off my cousin had went to pick up my cake and one of the girls there was not very pleasant. She said the customer before her was treated better as she was able to see her cake before they boxed it up for her, my cousin did not get the opportunity she had to request to see the cake. Then she said she was struggling to fit the box in a bag she brought and the girl at the front watched her struggle with the bag and did not offer her any help. Now as for the cake this by far has been the worst birthday cake I received from this place. The pervious years my cakes have been nice and tasted good. This year the quality was just poor and my red velvet cake was dry. The crown on my cake was split in half and it was basic and straight up ugly. My cake also costed more than my pervious ones and it was just a very sad birthday cake. I really liked this place but because in past years I have received amazing customer service but I will not be getting another cake from here. I feel that my cake was an after thought with the way it looked. My cake costed around $110 CAD. Look at the pictures and you would see this is not worth that price. My cake by far was just basic and boring and I communicated what I wanted and this was the oh so creative outcome. Trust and believe my Metro cake tasted way better and looked more presentable in my opinion.

When I first walked in I wondered why the store was empty; after my visit I now know why. I really wanted to like this place. It's cute, they have good desserts, and a great Instagram page. None of that makes up for the awful service my friends and I received while we were there. The staff were bored, uninterested, and straight up rude to my friends. The desserts weren't that special to warrant the prices or the crappy service.

Have been a customer of this shop for the past 10 years. I had my son’s wedding cake made there 10 years ago and got addicted to their yummy cupcakes. The service is amazing and as mentioned earlier the quality is superb. Highly recommend it

Squares and little nibbles there are great! My partner got me a s'mores square and a pear cheesecake square that held up overnight. Both delicious!! But the rapper sugar cookies were ROCK HARD and inedible. Couldn't even bite into it. Also got a birthday cake and it was gross. Almost the entire thing was thrown out. The cake was dense yet wet, almost like an undercooked bread. The frosting was pure sugar, and had no flavour. Kind of tasted like the cheap frosting you get on a Wal-Mart cake. It had raspberry filling that was actually very good, and was the highlight. I will say that the cake LOOKED beautiful and they are very skilled with their piping working, but the inside did not match the outside. Will definitely go back for the grab and go treats, but I would not suggest any of their cakes or rapper cookies.

Cindy and Sarah are simply amazing. From the first time we visited their beautiful shop, they were so friendly and hospitable. We were greeted with a lovely cup of tea while we perused the many albums and sampled their incredibly moist and tasty cupcakes. After explaining just a few of our wedding inspirations, they immediately captured our vision even better than we could have dreamt. We had countless raving remarks of their wedding cupcake, wedding cake and cake pop display at our wedding. Not only did it look amazing, they tasted phenomenal. Magical people work here and all the treats reflect that. They've got killer original recipes and do riffs of nostalgic classics. Ice Cream flavors are short but solid and from an independent local producer. Oh...their cakes are the god damn best. THE BEST!

I highly recommend The Wedding Cake Shoppe for the wedding cake of your dreams! I had collected dozens of Pinterest inspiration photos, and was able to take them to Cindy who put them all together into the most beautiful custom wedding cake that was exactly what I had envisioned! All of my guests were ooh-ing and ah-ing over how gorgeous it looked! Cindy was also very accommodating with last minute changes to the design, size, etc., and throughout the whole process she was very responsive in communicating with me and providing all the information I needed. The delivery was right on time, and everything was setup exactly as specified with the cake toppers and cake stands. Oh, and the cake tasted delicious too!

We got our wedding cake from here and it was so delicious!!! We didn't want the traditional fondant cake so we went for a buttercream semi naked cake. It was 4 tiers with 2 different flavours that were both so delicious! A raspberry white cake with lemon buttercream and apple spice cake with cinnamon buttercream. The cake tasted amazing, and all of our guests really enjoyed it. We had the cake right in front of our head table and it was a gorgeous focal point. So happy they delivered to Burlington. Finished it off with a cake topper I made and gorgeous floral by our florist. One of my favourite things from our wedding. Thanks Cindy! UPDATE! We froze the top of our cake and ate it on our 1 year anniversary with friends. I really didn't think it would be that good after a year... but DAMN! Even after being frozen for a year it was AMAZING. A nice moment to relive. I only tried the apple spice cake at the wedding, and the part we froze was the raspberry. So glad i got to try both! I included a photo of the part we froze that I decorated with fruits.

This is hands down my favourite bakery in the city. It's my go to for a simple pick me up cookie, or when I need to order 400 treats for a party. The sweets are always delicious and fresh, inventive and unique. The staff is lovely; always friendly and customer focused. Can't praise this place enough.

The Bake Shoppe made our wedding cake and all of our guests raved about it at our reception. We had a one on one consultation and decided to go with a three tiered white vanilla cake baked with raspberries and cream cheese frosting. We have our top tier saved for our one year anniversary, but plan on ordering a mini cake when the time comes. Super pleased with the thorough and attentive service too!

Cute bake shop nestled in the heart of bustling College Street. Ordered a vanilla bean buttercream cake for my boyfriend's mother's birthday and it didn't disappoint. Take the advice from the bake shop attendant and let the cake sit for three hours before cutting into it - the cake is much more flavorful and moist after being removed from the fridge.

If you want a quality cake with good sized portions that are ready made, this should be at the top of your list. I went in first thing in the morning on a weekend and picked up a Ferrero Rochet cake without calling in ahead of time. Let me tell you, it was a conversation starter and ender as we all couldn’t stop indulging. Also the service was fast, and thorough with good advice on how to best serve the cake.

Went out of my way to visit this place to order a birthday cake. Upon arrival we were not acknowledged and when I asked the girl for help she made me feel like I put her out for stopping her to ask a question. Her answers were short and curt, using 'yup' for everything and then telling me I can place my order online. I explained that we had walked all the way there, could we not place the order now, especially as she explained that I would need to place the order right away if I wanted it for the following week. With so much competition in the city for similar services I would much rather give my business to shops that have higher standards for customer service.

My husband and I bought 135 cupcakes and a small wedding cake from The Wedding Cake Shoppe, and we were blown away by their professionalism, dedication to quality, and most of all, the cakes themselves. We had 5 flavours (passion fruit, Fererro Rocher, peanut butter cup, dulce de leche, and red velvet), and they were all incredibly delicious! They were complimented highly by every guest at our wedding, and we gladly ate all the leftover cupcakes. Our only regret is that we didn't get any more! Fantastic all-around.

I am a baker and this is the only place I want my cakes from if I am not baking it myself. Extremely moist cakes, that are not over kill on sweetness. Lots of modern pop culture incorporated with the baked goods. Catchy out of the normal cake sayings and one of the only places I know that have non-traditional baked buttercream cakes available daily. Far from me in Milton. But worth the drive when needed!

I’d heard a lot about this little pastry shop and so we decided to go try it out. As soon as you enter you’ll see a beautiful display of baked goodies, fresh pastries and cupcakes lined up next to their wonderful looking cakes. We tried their red velvet cupcake which is supposed to be really good, and it sure was! The butter cream topping was light and just the right sweetness. The cupcake itself was not very dense and would melt in your mouth. You can even place orders for customised cakes here. They have red velvet and some other interesting flavours available. It might take around a week for any customised orders on their cakes, so it would be a good idea to order well in advance. Would love to go back again and try their other goodies!

I got one of the sprinkle vanilla bean 6" cakes for my daughter's 12th Birthday. It looked super cute but honestly the taste is not one that makes me say "wow awesome!" The cake it's self is not moist at all and the darn buttercream has no flavour. I think the buttercream for layering is a bit different, it tastes slightly better than the one used to cover the whole cake. Trust me you'll end up throwing that part out! They really need to improve on this cake to make it more moist and as well the buttercream. It tastes like butter with no icing sugar! For the price tag of $40 for a 6" cake, I'm dissapointed...oh well you live and learn.

I was brought here on a trip to Toronto, and was really excited to see the variety of the baked goods on offer. The home made pop-tarts, and ruffle rice crispy squares were really good. We also tried the smores square, which was another hit. The prices are high, but it tastes good, and seems to be a cool place to go.

One of the cutest bakery I’ve been to! I always go here for their famous rap-cookie gift sets. For valentines, they do customized cookies that you can give to your loved ones and they are absolutely the cutest. Their baked treats are definitely pricy but it makes sense as so much care, dedication and hard work goes into making every single treats. Haven’t tried their cakes yet but you can order wedding cakes here. Definitely recommend this place if you haven’t been yet!

Horrible dry cake. Skimpy and cheap on the filling. Emailed the owner privately and indicated we weren't happy with the cake and explained why. Ended up getting a response lecture about how I as a customer was rude for providing honest feedback and how I shouldn't speak to a woman this way. Sorry Cindy, but your cake was awful and your manners are worse. Will never ever buy or recommend this store to anyone.

The cake cost $245. We’ve been their customer for 9 years. And very disappointed which how they made our cake yesterday. The design we wanted is to change the blue to red, Stars and moon to spider web. The rest stay the same. But look at the picture. The cake they made for us look like it was done by a student who are learning how to make cake. About the taste of the cake, it’s very dense, nothing else but like an extra dense muffin. I complaint to them and their answer basically just because we didn’t like the cake. Nothing to do with them.

In a panic I emailed Cindy who replied promptly. The Shoppe was closed Cindy managed to have a baker come in, meet me at the shop and make me a new name plate for the cake and saved the day !

I called ahead to see if they still had a certain cake still available. The lady on the phone told me she did. I told her I'd be there in 30 mins to come get it. She said great. I arrived coming from Etobicoke to the downtown location. I told the lady at the front I had just called for a cake 30 mins ago. She told me it was all sold out. Telling me customers need to make a deposit on a cake if they want to hold it. I don't know if the lady on the phone and the lady at the location was the same person but no one mentioned a deposit on the phone. Not good customer service!

I love this place! I just went to pick up my large pop tart, flakies and some confetti cookies last weekend for my husband's bday. My guests loved everything. The flakies were outstanding. The XL pop tart was enjoyed by everyone too. We liked the confetti cookies but I'm not sure I'd get them again. They were a little dry. 5/5 for us. P.s. get the ruffle squares. I have served those in the past and my guests/friends loved them too. Job well done!

They have beautiful and very trendy cake and cookie options for an affordable price. I ordered their vanilla cake and everything went smoothly from the time I ordered to the time I picked up the cake. The cake tasted delicious - like a traditional birthday cake, although I will say it was very filling too!

They have created numerous special occasion cakes for me and my family from my wedding cake to my son’s baptism, my kids’ birthdays, first communion, graduation, etc and they were all absolutely GORGEOUS and more importantly, DELICIOUS! The sweets were good but not amazing. The jam filled poptart was good, the chocolate one just ok. Nothing was wow I need more of this. The staff member who put together my order was not very friendly. Usually when you go into a shop the person working should greet you and ask what may I get for you. You'll get none of that here. I spoke first asking what I would like. The entire experience was a feeling of you are inconveniencing them. Saying very little and I don't even recall a thank you when paying for like $50 worth of stuff. You would think a small business like this would be going out of their way to be friendly and want you to come back. I probably wouldn't go back as there are better bakeries with better service in the city. I highly recommend Sweet Bliss on Queen East. Now the owners who serve you there are very friendly and genuinely appreciate your business.

Their baked goods are made fresh everyday and tastes delicious! But I must say I've ordered a few of their cakes in the past and yes it looks pretty but it lacked flavour and consistency. Would only come back here for their fresh baked goods.

The Bake Shoppe made the most stunning, beautiful naked cake for my wedding. One entire tier was just a beautiful floral garland that they arranged. I was so incredibly happy with the look and taste of our amazing cake, it was so delicious (It was marble with nutella butter cream and also raspberry vanilla with passion fruit buttercream)! Can't wait for my one year anniversary to indulge in it again! Most importantly, our first session with Cindy, she gave us such great info and choices and was such a pleasure to deal with. I am so happy I went to the Cake Shoppe for my wedding cake. It was truly a dream cake realized!!! Thank you!

Bakery is cute. I haven't enjoyed or liked anything I got here. I've tried the brown butter and Nutella cookie, a cupcake, a smores bar and the pop tarts. Everything was underwhelming and lacking in taste. The cakes look amazing especially the Ferraro rocher cake but because everything else was not good I don't want to take the risk of buying a cake that doesn't taste good.

I went into the shop twice to order cupcakes and a cake, was told to email them. The staff is not friendly and aren't knowledgeable on their products, they need to be informed. I have emailed them called them left the shop very disappointed. And I have not heard from them. I guess they aren't interested in new business. It's too bad. Will never order from them .
