Great way to spend a Saturday morning.

Shelby's Shitzu

Lots of products from the area grown/made/crafted by great people. It's a little expensive but I just pick and choose my most favourites an stay within my budget. It's hard though because there's just so much awesome stuff there. Beware not all products are home grown. In times of shortages they have been known to buy from the Supermarket and pass it off as homegrown and charge homegrown prices.

Colin Hunter

Great place to go for breakfast on Saturday

Everyone there was kind and generous, most of the food I got was tasty, I will definitely be returning, I can most certainly see myself returning weekly or even twice weekly, it seems to almost always be a good time there from what I heard, but if you are making plans to go there in summer on a Saturday make sure you show up very early, as the parking lot is likely to fill up very quickly so keep that in mind

The lettuce is fresh, food is homemade and fresh and healthy, the employers are all friendly, and respectfull. I really like buying the peanut butter marshmallow squares, the herbal cheese, lots of varieties and selections to choose from, I'm satisfied. Lots of fresh apples to make apple sauce and apple squares, fresh hydro tomatoes, the cabbage rolls are fresh with fresh tomatoes sauce, tender soft cabbage, the perogies are fresh and homemade. Lots of flavors to chose from. There's dessert perogies with fruit, loads of cheddar, ones with beets. Lots of selections. The soup is fresh. There's Cheddar and broccoli, best borsht, homemade soap and bath baking soda balls that smell like bubble gum, like flowers. All natural. The bread is freshly baked, It's all worth it. The tea is good, the candy and chocolates taste great. They like to test samples. My favorite farmers market, the music is good.

The country market is a go to for anyone visiting Thunder Bay looking for authentic Thunder Bay items. Good for getting your "game" meats such as rabbit, deer, elk and moose. TWO floors and I don't think there's an elevator. But on the main floor there are lots of food vendors; milk, flour, meats, bakery, etc. The second floor has T-shirts, candles, Pie-ology, and hand-crafts. Some think the prices are high, but if you view everything as being "artisinal" then the prices are reasonable. Mist vendors are willing to discuss where they've sourced their materials so you can make a more informed decision, which is rather hard with chemically laden national brands.

Definitely a place to check out. It's a gathering of local farmers, chefs, and artists from town selling food and art. It runs twice a week most of the year - Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Food vendors only due to covid restrictions .. still, nice to go to the market to get some normalcy back in life. ????

ROLLIE CAT

Place to buy fresh veggies/produce. However, items are too excessively priced... portions are too small to appreciate its true value. In comparison,. so-called "organic" veggies sold in supermarkets may not be truly organic but they actually last the same time as those sold in this farmers' market, as I've tested them several times whenever I find this market closed. I noticed too that, except for those priced at $4, most of the produce they sell are $5 or. more.. Oh, well.. No further comments!
