Food basics is the most affordable for groceries. The staff are always easy to find and willing to help. The name really says it all. It is perfect for picking up the basics... the only down fall is that they dont have a great seafood selection or an olive bar...ect. I still do the bulk of my shop at Food basics and grab good deals on meat when I see them and then I get what I'm missing from chartrands. I know if I go into chartrands I'm spending atleast an extra $100.00 even if i stick to my list.

Be sure to check out their clearance rank full if veggies, all for a $1.00!???????? They also have this "World food" aisle with all kinds of packaged food. from different places around the world. The deals they have every so often are good.This is a great place to do groceries at an affordable price. At times produce is not cared for in the best way however once taken home more veggies can be restored (y) Bring your reusable bags ! and dont forget them because they do not offer boxes at check out...and you will be forced to use plastic. Ohhh I also lovee how they sell local items like fresh cheese curds and honey from Quebec ???????? Yum!

Love Food Basics in our small town!! Prefer over Walmart most days!! Weekends may be busy because of everyone reshopping for the week but I would still go regardless. Staff are polite and courteous as well!! They dont have to talk but they do!! They will help you find things and can recommend on sales etc..Very clean and organized grocery store. Always have everything we need!!

Food and prices as worthy of a 4/5, but their Covid response is very uneven. On the good side, a gallon jugwith a generous pump allows customers to thoroughly disinfect hands on entry and exit. On the negative side, only about half the staff mask properly. Some cashiers tuck the mask under the chin, others show their nose. Several of the staff have been seen with no mask at all. Manager - please take responsibility to keep staff and customers safe.

Went in this morning to buy some blueberries and bought 7 there was no sign saying limit she confronted me saying there was a limit of 7 then turns around and says it was OK in the meantime ahead of me she questioned a chap with cheese and behind a lady with pop which they tried to explain it was 2 orders she was just driving this other chap I am already angry with the fact they don't pack your groceries and then question you and then.say it's OK we'll if it's OK say nothing instead of making people's lives difficult with cashshier like that she is going to chase customers away with her attitude control your staff before people walk away
