A friend and I both went there for the first time last night and the food was absolutely delicious! I can’t wait to come back the next time we are In Sydney. Kudos to the chefs and also to our sweet waitress! Ps, I highly recommend the Maple Spinach salad with the most amazing Lentil and butternut squash soup. ????

Stopped in late in the day for dinner, the whole meal was fabulous. I will be stopping in next time I'm in Sydney. The menu was too full with great choices, plus the dessert menu needs more exploring.

My husband and I and his parents were visiting from BC and we ate in this restaurant both nights we were here. The food was so delicious the first night that we decided it was worth coming back! The portions are very generous and tasty. The service was super pleasant as well. Great little restaurant!

Like seafood chowder? They have the best in town. Lunch on small bowl of the chowder, a warm house roast beef sandwich and a cup of kicking horse coffee for a really decent and reasonable priced afternoon treat. Just be careful if you happen to be sitting on one of the stools facing the window to eat your meal that you are prepared incase your dining companion says something so funny that you cough your food and drink all over the window for all of downtown Sydney to see! AND DON'T SAY IT COULDN'T HAPPEN TO YOU!!!

A bit disappointed, not great value for the price. Chowder was good, but battered fish was overcooked, as was the Greek chicken. Strange to have topped Greek with guacamole. Also had mix up with reservation. I called TODAY, and they marked my reservation for last night.

Update July 2019 I've been coming here for 5 years, they have great gluten free options. Love this place, it's a staple of visiting Cape Breton. Best breakfast! Original Review 2014: I tried the Harlet Wanderer (I think) sandwich during the 2014 sandwich war - it's was amazing. Like a meatball sub from subway on ecstasy.
