(Translated) Difficult to find, no sign! The market is not as big as you know it from German indoor markets. There is a large parking lot with several hall buildings to see from the street. In the building, where people come out with small plastic bags, is the market. It is used by the locals as a meeting place, therefore tables and chairs to sit and play a significant part of the hall. Edit 2019: The market has moved a little further into Sydney. Still no signage that helps to locate. I have not found a parking space, but may be behind the building (see googlemaps satellite image), but where you have, once you have reached the entrance of the market, not even able to turn just because one-way. We found a place on the street with parking meter. The market hall is more beautiful and bigger than the old one inside and outside, to the left of the entrance is the sales area with the small stalls, to the right of the entrance the area with tables and chairs, surrounded by snack stalls. There you will also find Hartmut, the German butcher with his sausages. In the sales area, where you can find the toilets, played a small band country music.

Haven't been here for 2 years, I remember when it was a tiny one on Keltic Drive! Now I can see that they are really putting effort into it! Good Variety of Produce, Soap Products, Baked Goods, and Crafts. The Vendors were especially nice; they let us see the construction room and the plans of the building! Yay! Good Job!

It was a great place to visit with some unique food and shops. Too small as it was crazy crowded it was difficult to get around.

Cory Blundon

This is an amazing place to spend a Saturday morning and it's also an important incubator for small buisnesses in Cape Breton. Come by for some crafts, some good local produce and good food. It's one of the best ways to support the smallest local buisnesses.

The Saturday Farmers Market is well known to locals with a a variety of vendors providing vegetables, baked goods, crafts, hot meals and best of all great fair trade coffee. Those invalided in the motet can do more to advertise to tourists within and without the province. Some vendors are Big Spruce Brewing, Midiguard Meadery, Zanna's Lebanese Food, Hanks, to name a few. Highly recommend going here for produce and brunch.

Although the Farmers Market is not operating in its traditional sense to due Covid 19, they have opened a nice little store to purchase products from vendors. Some days in the summer they have local farmers set up outside in the parking lot selling the freshest produce you can find.
