My boyfriend and I shop here almost weekly. We moved to Saskatoon around Christmas time, and were extremely disappointed to find out that hookah bars are no longer legal in this city. We were advised by a friend to visit Petra Market and purchase a little water pipe of our own. We were immediately greeted by the owner, and were given the pros and cons of each hookah model on display. The owner seemed very knowledgable about the products he had in stock. We settled on a modest pipe, and have been using and loving it since! We purchase tobacco shisha from here as well. He stocks up on a lot of tasty and reasonably-priced flavours. If there's anything we'd suggest, is the Al-Fakher website has a few flavours that we'd like to try that aren't available at Petra, such as strawberry with cream, mango, and vanilla. However, we cannot complain about the quantity and variety that he has now. Our favourite is the grapefruit mint! We also needed to restock on the grommets that attach the hookah bowl to the base. When we asked to purchase a replacement, he didn't bother to charge us, and gave us a handful at no cost. We visited The Joint to restock on our coals, but the price difference was astronomical. The Joint charges $6.99 for one pack of 10 coals, while Petra Market charges around $15 for ten packs. You get 100 coals instead of 10, and the price is hardly double. Overall, I completely recommend visiting this market, even if you're not a smoker. They have a fresh bakery and a ton of neat ingredients and products that you can't find anywhere else, and we've always been treated and accommodated well.

My favorite ethnic store in Saskatoon. The layout is well-organized, clean and spacious. They have an excellent selection of middle eastern sauce, spices, snacks, and nuts. They features a lot of products that you won't be able to find easily in Saskatoon like the fresh baked bread!

The owners are from Palestine and Jordan and are polite and smiling. They have that warm Palestinian vibe that you get from those middle eastern people. There are Iranian items for Persian cuisine. You can buy sikhs(skewers), baadbezan and even gooshtkoob. The Asian and middle eastern options are nice. Tou can buy Palestinian olives, olive oil anddried fruits, Turkish delights, Iranian jam and bread,Persian biscuits and Saffron and many other things there. They recently added a meat section which sells Halal meat which is better than non-Halal meat and has less blood inside. The meat is fresh and they have lots of options and will cut it to your desire. They also have added a bakery section and you can buy fresh, baked of the day Palestinian bread there.

Petra is a really nice store that you can find products from the middle east. We go here every week for the fresh bread, falafel, and some stuff that you can find only in this store such as special Iranian vegetables and food products. Staffs are really nice, spices, and helpful. I recommend testing different kind of bread here! And don't forget to have their fresh and yummy pizza!

I found many things that I couldn't find in any other stores in Saskatoon, like shisha, wooden backgammon, special dishes, some sort of beans and peas, dried herbs, etc. The butcher's part is also good and all halal. Oh I found Iranian bread as well, called "Barbari". Not exactly like that, but similar; I'm satisfied though. Nice and friendly staff too.

Nice place to grab items from middle East. They do have a bakery onsite and the bread is light and very fresh, an absolute must-try! They also have a butcher shop where you can grab fresh meat, or marinated chicken, or even middle east style sausage. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

A pizza place yes, but with a rare selection of delicious Middle Eastern mana'aesh (manakish). So if you want to taste something new without spending too much money I recommend trying these! I had the meat safiha mana'aesh, the half-and-half akawi cheese and muhammara mana'aesh (the white and red pictured) and the tomato labneh one. This was my first taste of these dishes and they're delicious! I will order from here again.

They are so respective, friendly and care about their customers. They do their best to treat you greatly. Not only it is a handy market, they have a restaurant and a bakery there as well. Whenever we go there for shopping we eat something as well. The best dish to me and my husband is “Za'atar and Akawi Cheese Half-and-Half Mano'osheh” and “beef kefta”. Beside the fair prices you can experience a fantastic taste also.

The butcher shop has some of the best meats I ever had. The difference is in the quality from everything available on the market. I really enjoy the ready to eat dishes. Especially the marinated meats. Makes for a quick, easy and healthy dinner. Prices are also quite resonable. I noticed he is also able to make a special cut based on the customer request. I don't buy meat anywhere else anymore.
