If I could go above 5 I would. Great prices, great staff, and overall great taste. The only thing I would change are the hours open! I work til 7 and I never have a chance to make it there. Luckily I work next door!

I love to walk down to the golden sheaf on Saturday mornings and grab a fresh toasted coconut longjohn or 6 and have it with some coffee out in the back yard. This bakery makes easily the best toasted coconut longjohn in the city. All of their baking is delicious and fairly priced! The staff seems very down to earth and friendly to boot.

This bakery is amazing! Fresh doughnuts ,warm gooey cheese sticks, delicious bread and more. Its been in Saskatoon for decades, and it tastes like how grandma used to make it! and when you walk in the door a sweet family that runs the place greet you with a smile, always. I will be going back there a lot!

Picked up gingerbread cookies today for my kids. They looked fabulous and were decorated as minions. My kids ate them with no complaints but when I tried one for myself I almost cracked a tooth on how hard they were. They tasted stale and the icing was so hard that like I mentioned earlier hurt my teeth it was so old. Hope this is just an off day. Much prefer nutana bakery.

I highly recommend the coconut donuts. The Irish Wheaton bread is also great, very filling for a long time and an almost nutty flavour. They've recent renovated so it looks a lot more polished now.

I found a bug in my icing. I thought it was from the walk back home, but the second time I went there they had flies in the showcase. I just walked right back out the door. I rather go to Tim Hortons for my donuts!

My wife ordered a few dozen sugar cookies yesterday and when I picked them up, I was surprised on how high-level the detail was on the icing! Very reasonably-priced and friendly counter service to boot. Am definitely going back and looking forward to trying out more of their wares!

I come here for the doughnuts, which are delicious. If you come early and get a doughnut straight from the oven, you're in for a treat of pure bliss. This is a traditional bakery with friendly staff and a range of goods, from breads, to rolls, to cookies.

The brothers that own the bakery are great guys! They love what they do and it shows in the quality of their baking. We use their product at The Caesar Mill in Martensville! They are alot more convenient bakeries for us, but we will go for the best that we can find. We found that at Downey's. If you are walking there with your dog, they may just have a treat for your canine friend as well!
