We visited Wadena this weekend and stopped in to get some pastries after reading about their donuts online. The prices were very reasonable and their staff was extremely helpful and kind! Everything we tried was so delicious. We especially loved the Mocha Boston cream donuts and the Butter Tarts! I can’t wait to come back sometime soon and try some of their other baking.

The Boston cream, bar none are the best ones I ever had. So full of cream. The apple fritters are delicious. I haven't had one bad thing there yet. There bread is good as well. Nice friendly staff in a small town atmosphere. If you are in the neighborhood you HAVE to stop.

I can not emphasize enough how important it is to stop in at the Wadena Bakery... There was so much I wanted to try but didn't have time. From now on, if I'm with in an hours drive, I will be going back there. The Boston cream donuts are ridiculous, how can the put that much filling in them?!? It defies the laws of physics! Go there!! You won't regret it.

Always stop in on our way to Saskatoon. Bakeries that make their product from scratch are rare, particularly in small towns. Co-op, Superstore and all chain grocers use frozen pre-portioned dough. Also a fan of the Boston Cream donuts. Always get a 1/2 doz.
