Mmmm! Best doughnuts in town. Not a whole lot of selection, but I think it’s nice to have a small, rotating menu. The doughnuts are perfect. They’re big, delicious, sweet and definitely worth the extra couple bucks they cost. The shop is nice, trendy and quiet. The service is also great!

Service was messy, employee running the till stood there and stared while the other employee packed up 2 dozen donuts for the person in front of me instead of offering to help me whilst the other worked. I got covered in icing trying to remove the donut from the bags they’re using. Overall cool idea but hopefully excecution is perfected over the next while, as they are still new to the game.

Darkside Donuts has come a long way since they opened! Their donut dough has really improved in overall taste and texture (more fluffy and moist). If you have yet to visit, or haven't gone since they first opened-- check it out. They clearly put a lot of thought and care into their donuts which are ever improving. Their Covid-19 pickup and order strategies are awesome too. So nice to go and send a quick order text, pay online, and have your donuts brought out to you!

The donuts here are absolutely fantastic. You can tell with each bite the care that is put in to selecting both the raw ingredients to make the donuts, and the flavor combinations. I also really like that they work to incorporate different places in Saskatoon in their flavor inspirations and naming. A must try place if you're ever in and around the Saskatoon area!

I was very excited to try Darkside doughnuts! We saw all of their pictures online of their products and was looking forward to them. Sadly it isn’t very good. My wife picked up 2 flavours of doughnuts on this visit. They looked nothing like the pictures. The icing was almost nonexistent even though the pictures posted showed a good amount of their icing. Secondly, they were dense and dry. And to top it all off, their prices, for what you get, are absolutely ridiculous! We will not be visiting again.

Part of a little hip and trendy food mall, Darkside Donuts is a great place to pick up delicious creations made daily. An award winner for Best Artisan Donuts in 2019 watch out for Sunday's special surprise creation that you need to order on Sunday but they are one offs and one of a kind. The flavours were so good. We had so many hard choices we ordered half a dozen and savoured every one of them. You can tell we weren't the only ones that loved these as there was a constant crowd which you knew made these worth the wait. If you need something to chase these donuts they also serve up hot and cold beverages.

Delicious donuts! I love the ever changing menu and interesting flavour combinations. I prefer the non-vegan choices, the vegan are a bit tougher. I appreciate that the icing isn’t too sweet. Everything has always been delicious! Worth the splurge.

Great service, and the store looks nice enough but I do have some complaints. The doughnuts are not fit for human consumption, you'd have to be a python or something to fit these giant doughnuts in your face hole, I'd much rather have 2 doughnutsthat were half the size. Not sure if it's all the doughnuts but the 2 I tried were way too chewy like the dough was overworked. Really interesting glaze options though the raspberry had me salivating immediately on the first bite, and the honey glaze uses locally sourced honey which adds a floral complexity to the sweetness.

They have Venn Coffee which is really cool. The donut I got was way overfilled with filling and the flavor of the filling wasnt great. Service was friendly and the some of the other donuts looked alright, but overall mine was pretty gross. Nice little place, but will probably stick to Pals donuts.

Darkside doughnuts was an unexpected treat last time I was in Saskatoon, it was busy which seems to be pretty normal for them. Good assortment of unique flavours was impressive, I did find the doughnut unusually chewy which was a little unusual but still tasted great. The shop it’s self was nice if minimalistic with a little seating including a bar/counter seating overlooking the street. Based on how busy it was seating can be a challenge to find.

By far the best donuts I've ever had! The donuts themselves are very chewy and delicious, and the glaze is not too sweet. We waited in line for about an hour and made it for the third batch of the day. Well worth the wait and will definitely be back!

Stopped by for the first time ever & grabbed a variety of donuts to try. They taste delicious as they’re all light & fresh, however some of the different flavours don’t have much flavour to them or some taste like each other. With that being said, some of the speciality ones are over priced for those reasons. All in all I still would definitely get more to try, & their darkside dip is to die for! Highly recommend that one for sure! Their pumpkin spice latte is also super flavourful & way better than Starbucks. ;) Definitely a must have for fall season!

Great little spot to grab some killer doughnuts. We had a Saskatoon berry filled number and a coffee infused fritter. I give one less star because I’ve had an array of top notch doughnuts around North America in the past few years and crispy on the outside fritters are key, these were very soft. Flavors were strong and well thought out, filling was generous and perfectly sweetened. Would recommend!

Decent donuts but pretty awful service. Was ordering 6 donuts for some COVID contact tracers well in advance and they couldn't seem to accommodate that. Even after phoning ahead to confirm they still got the date wrong and were quite rude about it. I didn't think 6 donuts was a lot to ask and having them donated would have been appreciated. Nutana and Nestors Bakery has been the new go-to since then.

Tatsy donuts! I had the toasted coconut long john and it did not disappoint! Been here a few times and its always a great treat! Steady line of people in and out the whole time I was there and it's set up really nice for social distancing.

The specialty doughnuts were ok, but way too much icing and sugar on them. The toffee filling was pure sugar and too much again. Order the standard honeydip or chocolate dip and you will be happy. The price is steep for a doughnut though. Be prepared to open your wallet. 4 stars for $3.00 rather than $ 4.00 per regular doughnut. Hence, 3 stars

I have gotten doughnuts often from here. They have pretty much always been great quality. The thing I do not like is that to order and set some aside you need to get a day in advance. I live 30ish mins away from saskatoon and like to buy things prepaid as takeout to ensure I am not wasting a drive. Other bakeries have been much more accommodating. I still go sometimes if I happen to be around early in the day but often go elsewhere now . If you are there before noon , great place to go for large variety but after pretty hit and miss

When you can get the donuts you want Darkside is a good, if pricy, option, good quality donuts. We've had more of a negative experience trying to get donuts though, as they always tend to be sold out of anything we want. We've seen a few other people leave as well without buying anything because they are sold out. Wouldn't advise going if you want any 'special' they have, as they probably won't have it available.

I would have given them six stars but I got there a little later in the day when they had merely 5 incredible donut flavors instead of the full compliment you would get in the morning. I could hear myself getting fatter but I needed to try as many different donuts as possible so I could report on how they tasted. I couldn't find a weak link in the menu. I lie down now.

I went in with my friend who purchased donuts and I seen a fly buzzing around landing on top of the donuts. Maybe put a fly catches in the back room? She still bought donuts, and enjoyed them. I didnt try any but my friend loved them.

We tried this place to see what's the hype all about. The store itself is alright but I think the donuts are priced well over what it's actually worth. As much as I'd like to support local businesses, I still would like to get what's my money's worth. I've had better donuts at lesser price. I guess it's okay to try it.

Darkside is a different experience. This is not your everyday donut shop. With local ingredients and local inspiration, everything option here is a winner. The Darkside (dark chocolate dip) is consistently a showstopper, while my favourites of all time included the Caswell (ginger pear fritter) and Out Saskatoon (Raspberry creme). Yeah, it's that good!

Today I had one of best darn donuts I've ever eaten! Holy smokes! We tried the Cranberry/Orange Fritter: AMAZEBALLS! And the Bacon Jam/Ricotta/Blue cheese and it was like nothing I've tasted! This is my new fave in Saskatoon! Yummy!

I was pretty disappointed after all the hype. The flavours were creative, but sadly they just didn't taste good. They tasted like the oil they were fried in and were super oily and greasy. I couldn't get past it. I totally get that people want to support local, but these just aren't good. The price would be fine if the donuts were actually tasty, but again, they are not.

After previously giving this establishment a 5 star review, I had to change it to one after the last experience there. I’m not sure what’s happened since this place originally opened, but it is not the same. Placed a birthday order for a friend, two week before her birthday and paid online, waited the day of my friends birthday for her order to come, and it did not. Called the store and the lady that answered the phone said they cancelled the order. They didn’t bother to call me or send me an email, but chose to do this 2 days before my order and said nothing.... No remorse from person on the phone. No trying to make things right. Didn’t even attempt to make the order, which was small. Also didn’t have my CC refunded when she said it would be, so two weeks after I called my bank and they refunded the charge. Very poor customer service and I would be cautious about ordering special orders.

There is absolutely nothing standard about the donuts at this establishment. The blending of flavors tantalize the imagination of your tastebuds. Try hibiscus and espresso. If you miss it, dont expect to see this choice the next day. They change their selection every day. The prices reflect a high end product. About $4 per donut. We gladly paid this for an amazing sweet treat.

I stopped by Darkside Donuts during a weekend trip to Saskatoon. It came highly recommended by locals and reviews online. When we visited the store, it was very clean and the donuts looked aesthetically pleasing. The costs of the donuts were quite high (>4 dollars each). We ordered two donuts and coffees. Both donuts were dry, and flavourless. They were by far the worst specialty donuts, I have had, especially for the price tag. I genuinely think the average consumer would be better served at Tim Hortons. The coffee was mediocre at best as well. I would not recommend, unless you strictly would like to instagram your meal.

Classiest place by the skatepark! If you don't like premium items then don't come here. Strong coffee, ice water, hearty delicious donuts, good beats, Good atmosphere and wifi. Recommend a black coffee and a darkside donut for the real experience. But try one of the other ones also, read the names...

For the price, the donuts are not worth the price or the trip. While the donuts themselves are quite a nice texture, the glazes I tried lacked flavour. The plum and ginger sounded exciting, but didn't taste like plum or ginger, and had no ginger spiciness. The saskatoon glaze tasted slightly of blueberries, and not at all like saskatoon berries. The glazes were not distinguishable unless tasted from drips. If you had given me small pieces of each donut while I had my eyes closed I could not have told you which was which. I won't be back.

GREAT DONUTS! The basics are delicious, huge, and only $2.50! This to me makes them EASILY the best donut shop in the city. Be warned, they frequently sell out so don't leave this trip until the end of your day.

Terrible customer service. There is no point in preordering as it won't be ready anyway. You can give them 2-3 weeks notice and it won't be ready, or sometimes they just cancel your order without notifying you. Overpriced, mediocre at best donuts. Everyone i know has ALWAYS left disappointed in one way or another.

Bought a dozen donuts, the gathering they were for didn't work out, only 3 of them were eaten. They were super oily in the dough and tasted like old fry oil.. I love sweets, and these I could not touch. At least they looked pretty..
