Our tour bus stopped here; WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! Our tour guide had made arrangements well in advance to be sure there would be plenty of staff and baked goods. Instead, ZERO! They had only about a dozen cinnamon rolls and some loaves of bread. No extra staff, no extra baked goods to accommodate our travelers who had opted not to have lunch to taste some delicious baked goods, NO APOLOGY, nothing. Will never ever stop there again. Too bad too because I was one of the lucky ones to get a cinnamon roll and it was delicious!

They are not using bread that they bake anymore? A professional baker knows the difference so they need to stop calling themselves a bakery. They are using store bought bread for the maple butter tasting and there were no fresh bakery items for sale. Very strange place these days.

This little maple syrup / butter house is a place I've always paid a visit every time I visit Quebec City. It's about 30-40 minutes from Old Quebec and have great maple stuff. The owner(s) does not seem to smile that often and create a somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere, frankly. A piece of Maple butter bread costs CAD $1.50. Small jar of maple butter costs CAD $10.95. Larger ones about CAD $19.99. I would have to visit there again with some jokes to make the staff laugh.

We stopped in mid morning and were the only customers there at the time. It seemed kind of like we were a bother to the staff. The cinnamon roll I had was really airy and fluffy in a way, which was quite nice. My wife had the bread with maple butter, which was extremely sweet. The grounds are quaint with an old timey feel, and the stretch of road is a nice drive between the bascillica and the falls.

I visited this place in 1980 for the 1st time...Wow! Major improvements, there is something unique to sit down with the family with a glass "Summer Wine & Hot Fresh Bread right out the oven with Maple Butter" Then to be invited back to taste "Putin", is a delight to one's heart. I look thru the pictures on the wall to find old & dear friends. This place has ingrain itself in my ❤. For me it is a must when I venture into Quebec City.
