Great product just like the original store in Aylmer but the one downside is the way they do their product delivery is kind of silly, all products come out of Aylmer so they don't get supplied on Saturdays till like 10-11 a.m.

I am not entirely sure what all the hype is about. The cookies are dry and bland. The donuts all have the same taste - can't put my finger on how to describe the taste, but it's not great, in my opinion. In addition, every time I have gone in, whether first thing in the morning, or later morning, they never seem to have a full stock of anything (i.e donuts, bread, pastries). It really is the only bakery (that I am aware of) in St. Thomas which is, in part, why I have ever returned. Would love to see some more product come out of this bakery, with more flavour and better consistency.

The bread and other baked goods at Spicers are a family favourite. They have a variety of options to choose from! Do not try their donuts unless you want to have a new addiction!

Simply the best donuts one may ever hope to find in the tri-county area! And the smoked meats sandwiches are wonderful! Try Spicer's once & you'll be hooked for life. Tim Horton's donuts are sawdust with fat & sugar compared to Spicer's!

My mother likes their white bread but they often run out. I'd like to see them using something other than canola oil. Recipes have changed drastically since the Spicer family sold it. They don't appear to make Christmas cake anymore, something our family looked forward to because it was so good. Bought some decorated cookies and had to throw them out because of the terrible icing on them. I know what royal icing is but have no idea what the paste was on them. Some other cookies were okay. The donuts don't taste like Spicer's used to, less flavourful. Prices are high.

Many thanks to the staff at St Thomas location for opening the door to us when we drove from London and arrived as it had just closed. The doughnuts were incomparable! What a treat to have cream filled "home made" goodness! Aylmer staff has also always been helpful and patient to explain the varieties to us.

Nice cozy shop featuring nice donuts, tarts, breads and other goodies. Recommended. Donuts cost more than Tim Hortons but you get what you pay for in my opinion.

There are several items I pick up in this bakery and so far, I have been extremely happy with the quality. They make a "no sugar" Austrian Bread (and my family is in Austria!) that I love, and also a 12-grains one. They offer whole wheat dinner rolls, and several kinds of frozen tourtieres and pies, very practical to just pop in the oven and have something good for dinner. I tried one with chicken and leeks, and one with beef and they were both excellent. They have a lot of pies, cakes and donuts that are very popular in this town, although I have not tried them yet. Also great looking cookies.

Bought some cupcakes and cookies for a birthday. Cookies tasted like store bought Voortmans. The cupcakes tasted like something you can make from a box. Not really impressed for a local bakery ????

This place does not deserve one star. I asked for 24 baby girl cookies for a baby shower 4 days after the day I called. I settled for SIMPLE designs on round cookies because what I wanted would have taken a couple weeks- fair enough. I still expected cute and neat printed cookies to be able to bring. Also, to decide these designs took SO much longer than I wanted because the managers could not describe what could be done in this "short notice", they just responded "it depends". When I got these cookies that I paid $53.00 for, I was appalled at the lack of care and effort put into these designs. Not to mention the spelling error made on 4 of them that I was told could be fixed by scrapping off the "s". Rediculous. When this was brought up to the OWNER, she said they are well done for the time they had to do them and I should have expected them to turn out this way. She refused to give me a refund and said she would never make cookies for me in the future because of my expectations. Store credit was the only thing given which she ripped my off $5, only putting $48 on a gift card. Since I refused to bring these cookies to the shower, my lovely aunt who works at GRANDMAS OVEN IN AYLMER, made me 30 cookies in 2 hours the night before, from her own home, with her own 2 hands. Pictures are below to show the comparison. So unbelievably disrespectful, not worth your time or money.

Used to be an awesome place for donuts. And while it is still better than TH factory donuts it has changed a lot in the past years. Can't get fresh donuts before work because the delivery from the main bakery in Aylmer doesn't arrive until after I start working. Can't get donuts after work because they are sold out. Like the variety of different breads and cookies they offer.

I called ahead and l am not sure if Jess answered that day, very helpful person and a customer pleaser. The following day l called to find out if my products were in the store. Jess was the one who took my order. What great service, you could hear her smiling as she talked, and very helpful with my order, and a very pleasing manner. All businesses should have an employee like this, that can meet the clients on the phone or in person, also with a business eye for assistance regarding the best buys for the customer questioning what more to buy. Again, an employee looking out for the business. Recently l went to the dollar store west London and met with a cashier who obviously hated her job and being there , she totally showed all the opposite traits of a thorough employee, it made me feel like l never wanted to go there again. While St Thomas Spicers l will make an opportunity to drive from London to lovely St Thomas for their ooh so lovely cream buns and lemon long-johns. Thanks Again, Keep that attitude Jess, you will go far in whatever you choose.
