Very friendly. Clean store. Excellent selection of meats for the space they have. Double Smoked Gypsy Meat is the BOMB!! Just heat it up in your toaster oven for 6-8 minutes and enjoy ????

Probably the most authentic old school bakery around. Owned and operated by a Polish family thru multiple generations. They are hands down the best bakery not just in St.Catharines but maybe all of Niagara. Everything their is top notch. Oh they also make the most amazing subs, only thing they don't have dill pickles as a topping, but I just go home and add my own. Everything about this bakery is 5 stars. Best cold cuts to best subs to best baked treats.. Way to Go St.Josephs bakery I'll always be a return customer.

Great little deli bakery. Being it was Easter weekend we were looking for Hot cross buns. This bakwry has everything you could possibly be looking for from baked goods to deli meats and cheeses, and stuff you cannot just find anywhere. Always busy with customers, product is always fresh and delicious selections!

Nice bakery carrying Polish foods such as sauces, spices, snacks, and treats. They offer meats and cheeses at the deli counter. There are numerous treats such as cakes, brownies, cookies and bars. Everything is made in house. A great stop to support local and get necessities. They carry eggs, dough, pre-made meals, and butter. Truly a one-stop shop!

Been coming to St. Josephs since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Great place to find European delicacies, smoked meats, pastries, hard to find items from "back home" and don't even get me started on the bread, Devine! Also a great place to grab a sub made with freshly sliced European deli meats fresh lettuce tomatoes and more. Always a friendly face to meet, great and assist with your needs.

Omg, the sandwiches here are AMAZING. Roast beef is my favourite, but the salami is fabulous too. Great selection of sausages, and some absolutely unreal desserts. The custard tarts are simply divine.

I have been going to this place for 20 years. Consistently excellent products. Really fantastic, freshly made sandwiches at very reasonable prices. I have brought many of my musician friends here over the years. We all work at The Shaw Festival so it's on the way there. Among user have nicknamed it "The Polish Ladies"; as in 'let's go to the Polish Ladies today. Highly recommend!!

St Joes. What can be said. Lots of goods and speciality groceries; baked goods; prepared salads; prepare pizza; fresh buns, breads, and rolls; subs that are the best I have had. If you have never been, you need to stop in and have this experience. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Well worth the visit.

This is a local Facer street institution. The best European/Polish deli and bakery in St.Catharines. The variety of kielbasa is outstanding. From wood smoked to turkey kielbasa. A wonderful friendly staff always willing to give you a suggestion. They have a good selection of pierogi which are way better than any grocery store brand.

The people here are absolutely amazing. The only bakery in town that would make me a dozen extra 12 inch sub buns (screw bunsmaster). The prices are also lower than other bakeries, but the culture and fun I have talking to the staff and trying to pronounce different cheeses makes the whole trip that much better!

Delicious ! Friendly! 7 Helpful ! I went in there looking for bread and didnt see what I was looking for. I was about to leave when the Gentleman behind the Dessert counter asked if I needed assistance , I informed him what I was looking for & he said it was Panini Bread ! They only had 2 left but the Deli lady gave me her 4 that she had ! On the way out I seen the Long Johns and Eclairs! I grabbed a bunch for the Lunch I was having . Needless to say the Bread was exactly what I was looking for and the Donuts were incredible! Definitely going back !!

Great place! Pretty much any kind of meat you can think of. Fresh thick cut bacon. Awesome subs that are a great price, and on Fridays they have fully cooked meat on a stick and cabbage rolls. Also you can get a quarter of a 24 slice pizza for $3.25.

I had chance to visit this place when we on the way back to Niagara Falls, staff were very friendly and helpful. They’re selling delicious pastries with super affordable price and also selling freshly made sausages and other meats. I got two pieces of Schnitzel and it was really good compared with the price!!

A wonderful and quintessential Facer St. spot. Their deli products are fantastic. Although some a little bit more expensive, it's definitely worth the price. In general, staff are friendly and accommodating. Their subs are amazing, well priced, and huge! A great splittable picnic grab. However, I and others I know have experienced poor service on a couple of occasions. In particular, a couple of the ladies behind the deli counter can be a little bit rude if they feel inconvenienced, such as when you come in too close to closing time or are taking too long to order. I'm sure it just adds to the charm!

This local gem is a place you need to stop-in and visit if you are looking for cheap and traditionally-made Polish breads, meats and cheeses. With shelves also stocked with pickles and other jarred treats from Europe, all for dirt-cheap prices, you cannot go wrong with shopping here for all of your tasty deli needs. If you like cold-cuts, give their smoked chicken breast a try and thank me later.

Also highly recommend their subs - super cheap for a foot long and the sandwich meat is sliced fresh and huge quantities. Worth driving out of your way for. I visit this place very often now; I've been trying all sorts of eastern european foods I'd never had before. They have lots of interesting imports of Polish beverages as well, and the staff were very helpful recommending me meat and cheese to make authentic Polish sandwiches.

Don't buy the frozen cabbage rolls there, they are tasteless. Cheeses are from Toronto and they are more expensive than the same ones in the Sobeys.

Feb 21 9:30 AM NO SOCIAL DISTANCING Sign on door says 15 customers allowed at a time WHY crammed in like sardines. I went for kaiser buns & bread (suggestion move the bread & buns nearer to checkout). 2 workers on deli counter to serve the lineup.....I went to Mitchell's bakery on Carleton Street who practice covid restrictions.

Love going here their subs are always fresh, this particular visit I ordered 4 subs and One of them was suppose to be a small turkey no onions no mustard, when I got home there was mustard on it. My daughter was disappointed and didn't eat it. Honest mistake it is what it is! This won't stop us from returning, fresh meat and buns!

St.Joseph Bakery has been a staple bakery in St.Catharines for decades.You can go in and order a submarine or regular sandwich at the deli counter.They have a pastry section,a variety of breads,jars soups etc. You will think that you are in Europe in a bakery there.The prices are reasonable too. Give it a try if you've never been there before.You'll be shopping like your grandparents did in their day. St.Josef Bakery is just not a neighborhood bakery.But,a community bakery where memories are formed from generation to generation.

An excellent Polish bakery and deli carrying all sorts of bakery foods like cheese cake,plum cake, cookies etc as well as a good supply of kielbasa and cold cuts. It gets very busy especially on Saturday s, so go early. They also carry ported items like Polish shampoo and Polish newspapers.
