First time in Winnipeg and I loved this place. Had the tofu breakfast with an espresso and a smoothie. It was great. We had a 10 minute wait for a table but it wasn't bad at all. The service was slow but with a smile and very friendly attitude, the place was extremely busy. Overall I loved this Winnipeg breakfast chain and will return.

My favorite Stella's location. I find it is less noisy in the restaurant than at other locations and the patio is amazing!.. Except, you can't sit on the patio during wasp season unless you want to share your food with those winged beasts or risk getting stung over and over. The staff warn patrons not to sit outside when it is really bad, so that's good.

Usually love Stella's but today was not good. Went with some coworkers for lunch, waited over an hour for...no food, no explanation. While we watched others that came after us, receive their lunch. We ended up leaving and not having a pleasant experience with the manager who did not seem to know how to accept this particular lunch fail and or make it right. Lack of customer service today for sure. Patio was great, weather was great. Server also could have supported what was going on, connecting with us, the customers. Just a weird, not great visit.

I’ve been here several times and have always been happy with my meals. Today I walked in and placed a pickup order for soup and salad to go. After waiting 45 minutes, and seeing another pickup order placed after mine leave, I spoke to the woman at the register (unfortunately I didn’t get her name) and she quickly refunded my meal and had it packed and brought out. Three large groups had come in and the pickup orders had been misplaced, for which she apologized profusely. Overall I’m really happy with how the situation was handled, and I’m sure I’ll be back ????

Good service, but the food is not as good as you'd expect. Our burger was soaking through the bottom bun and incredibly greasy, and my Thai dish was unappetizing. The waiter was friendly though and we got seated efficiently even though it was busy.

Stella's is always amazing. The only con is the occasional long wait times but that's what happens to great restaurants! Worth the wait. Good food, lots of different options. Their soup and salad is always a go to! Their house salad has the best salad dressing I've ever had

The service was ok last time I went, but the manager reached out to me and wanted my feedback. Their team does care so if you have any issues it looks like they want to hear on how they can improve which means... If you had a problem it will be resolved. On to the review .. These are one of the no straw restaurants. I did not have a problem with the smoothie and just drank it from the glass. Try the green smoothie. The thought of it turned me off, but I was pleasantly surprised. I did love the fact I was getting a lot of healthy benefits. Considering the number of health drinks out there I felt this was one of the tastier versions. I've frequented Stella's a lot in the past. It is one of my gfs go to restaurants. Not my first love, but they do good food and I don't mind going. This was my first visit to this location. We did the tuna sandwich on this visit and the French country omelette. I will say they have some of the better omelettes in the city for breakfast places. The banana pancakes is my personal favorite. My friends favorite is the Mexican breakfast. The more I posted about this the more I heard back from other friends on what they like to eat. Same solid food as to be expected from a Stella's. Service was fine.

This is a great place to go for breakfast, lunch, or brunch. It's a very cozy atmosphere, and the staff are exceptional. The only negative thing I could possibly come up with regarding this location is the wait. Due to being so popular, there always seems to be a wait to get a seat, especially on the weekend. Other than that, their food is top notch, and coffee is good. They also offer bilingual table service.

The coffee was good and the food was excellent. The staff were all friendly and my coffee cup was never empty. The atmosphere is casual but cute and classy. The menu has a wide selection of lunch and all day breakfast options, so there is something for everyone.

Usually love eating here twice a month at least.. I guess they hired new staff after Covid. The Hostess at the front was super rude and acted like we (2 of us) should just walk away because they were too busy, the only words that she said was "25-30" minutes and gave us a major eye roll. She then proceeded to take our phone number down to call us when a table was ready from outside... 72 hours later I'm still waiting for that phone call.

I had eaten at the one on Osborne so feeling lazy to cook on Xmas Eve, checked this one out.....never knew there was one around st Boniface. Anyway it's bigger, tables well spread out and friendly staff. Food as always ....tasty and the order came pretty fast although, we had to call someone to be served. Location is also good as there was parking which is key for me. Overall, it was a nice dining experience.

Pancakes were raw, Mediterranean omelette was cold, two egg breakfast was really wet and soupy and to top it off found a hair in 3 of the four dishes. Not a great experience at this location. I think the kitchen staff should be wearing hair nets and beardn nets because of the amount of hairs found.

Rough. Spent over $40 through DoorDash for brunch. Everything was colder than room temperature. One meal appeared to only have one egg. Slightly undercooked potatoes. Mexican breakfast was okay, kinda tasty but cold and a lot of mush. Way too many sauces. Bread did not come with jam although requested. We're still hungry due to the portion sizes.

Friendly, accommodating staff and great atmosphere. Mains and sandwiches are consistent, chorizo hash is fantastic especially with plenty of Frank's Red hot. However, the grass fed burger is consistently tough. A minor flaw considering the other benefits.

The vegan options at Stella's are such a nice treat! Our server, Keegan, was absolutely spot on. He didn't hover, he knew exactly when he needed to come by the table, and didn't interrupt my friend and I while we were catching up. My only negative experience came when I was asked if I wanted my food to be packed up. Of course I did - I'll eat anything later on. However, another waitress took my plate, and boxed it behind the scenes. When I got home, I saw that more than half of what was leftover was not in the box. Stella's: is this a policy? Can we change this so restaurant goers can pack their own leftovers? Would definitely recommend to anyone that's looking for a great breakfast spot.

I recently came here for the very first time with my Mum and I absolutely loved it! Though it's not my top Stella's location, for a positive family friendly environment it was a great place to go! The food as usual was extremely delicious and fantastically prepared! The staff were all so positive, very helpful and super nice to talk to! Though this location doesn't have a Bakery for selling their famous jams and breads, its definitely worth coming to!

Love this location! The patio is absolutely beautiful, and the little plants on the tables are a nice touch. Had this salmon Benedict one time when i was feeling adventurous and sadly didn't like it. They were incredibly understanding and took it away; and took it off the bill and quickly brought out what I ordered next.

Decent ambiance and unique menu. If you prefer overly flavourful/spicy food this may leave you lacking. The menu appears well thought out and allows the flavours of the ingredients come through. Friends comment how good the salmon is. Service is slow as often very busy but the food arrives hot and fresh. Don't arrive starving. Breakfast is all around fine.

This was my first visit. A friend of mine had been raving about the brussel sprouts, so we came for me to investigate the hype. We shared the Mezze plate which had an assortment of grilled vegetables, hummus, feta and tapenade drizzled with balsamic, cucumber salad and focaccia. The brussel sprouts with crispy capers, a sweet and spicy sauce, and our 3rd plate was the mushrooms with polenta. All three were amazing. The brussels were jaw dropping with chorizo, I took my first bite and went speechless. The mushrooms with polenta was so savory with the parmesan addition, I had to close my eyes and smile. The Mezze plate was fun to create each taste as you want, salty, sweet, savory. Definitely a place to come back to. Next time I will choose not when it's raining, so I can check out their beautiful patio.

Today I ordered the house salad with the roasted red pepper soup. The soup was delicious and so was the salad that was brought out. As I was eating my friend pointed out that it was actually a caesar salad. Once I brought this to the waitress attention she was more than happy to swap out the correct salad. Normally I would not say anything and just continue to enjoy the food I am eating but I was already having a bad day and I decided I desreved what I ordered. Boy was I happy to have made this choice, the dressing was amazing and I will definitely order the house salad again. I also got a chocolate torte to go because it is the most delicious moist gluten-free thing I've eaten. If you have not tried this before, do! Or try the carrot cake because it's also amazing.

The food was so good I ordered the pancake breakfast and the pancakes was so nice and fluffy with sausage that was beautiful spiced with a veggie patty was nice with carrot sweet and it’s was nice. I give this a 5 star because it’s great food and great and friendly service

I found myself quite disappointed in the management today when my family and I arrived for breakfast. Stella's consistently has fairly good food and service, however today our group of five arrived at eleven am and were informed it would be a twenty-five minute wait. Seventy-five minutes later, we were finally seated. When I approached the host stand, the list had my name as the next open table, but approximately fifteen tables of two that had arrived after my party had been seated. The hostess was very apologetic as she explained that tables for two kept opening, but no larger tables. While I understand that, I am not sure of the logic behind seating every table for two rather than waiting to have two two-tops open next to each other to accommodate the larger parties that are patiently waiting. I suspect that next time we'll be choosing a different location for brunch.

I love Stella' s! Always have & I can't say how much more I love it. The service was great. We waited under the amount of time they said. Once we sat down and order the food came quickly. Still tasted amazing ! The only down fall was how close the tables were together. My chair was pretty much in the space of the person behind me.

Food is good. Lately I’ve come by a few times and not sure if the new staff up front are the ones causing issues. I usually get pick up here 2-5 times a month. Lately its been things like the sauces missing or the order being incorrect. Tonight came on my way home from work, and ordered in advanced, they said 15-20 minutes and it will be ready. I waited about 35 mins after getting there. Very disappointing.

The food was very good, even though there are problems with suppliers. However, the fact we waited , and waited to receive it was not good. My wife and I were given free coffee to make up for the long wait time, but I could only drink half of mine before I spooned the ground coffee from the bottom of the cup into an empty glass. Unfortunately what was a kindly gesture left a rather bitter taste in my mouth. The food was nice though.

Dinner with friends before a concert. My meal was very good. I ordered Pad Thai as is. No extra protein. $13.59 and hubby had Jambalaya. Our friends had the Dragon Bowl, a starter green salad and the Chicken Curry. We ordered coffee at the end and it was tasty. The cup is too small and it was under-poured and we had no refills offered. At 2.85 per cup I would like a full cup. Service was good and the atmosphere is dynamic. Great location. With free parking.

Very nice location. Food and service was great. To find this restaurant location visually you must look for the cultural centre it is in, as restaurant is not immediately visible from the street. Decor is modern and spacious. The outdoor patio is large and isolated from street noise. Very pleasant space filled with mature trees with garden lights hanging on lower boughs. There is a stage as well so check to see if any entertainment is available when attending. You will also find that St.Boniface is a great area to stroll in. Being in a French cultural art centre also allows you to visit the art galleries contained in the centre. If you are from out of town I would suggest to make this a stop.

3 of use went for dinner Saturday around 6 pm. The Vegetable lasange was good but the caesar salad was like mush. I had the Clubhouse which was good but Potatoes where cold. My wife had the meat pie which was sent back because it was over done and the potatoes where cold. The new pie was also not good. Service was good but the food was suspect at best. Very disappointed.

Usual excellent food that Stella's offers. The surroundings feel a shade "mall-like" since it's in the CCFM, but once inside, the big windows make it bright and the decor is all-Stella. Will be back

Started going back after the harassers were fired, supposedly. Went the other night, waited an abnormally long time for our food and were ultimately told they lost the ticket and would get the food out soon. The food did come relatively soon after that but no offer to comp even the latte on our order for the inconvenience. We can spend our money elsewhere. Will not be going back.

I usually have a good experience at Stella's but this last time was disappointing to say the least. The staff were not all that friendly, avoiding eye contact when taking orders and overall awkward. The restaurant wasn't very full and the wait time was horrendous. Took 15 minutes for the waiter to come by the table to take drink orders, another 20 minutes for drinks to arrive and 45 minutes for food. I ordered the pesto cream linguine and it was probably the worst pasta dish I've ever had. It was swimming in a pool of oil and not creamy at all. The only flavour in this dish was the oil. There were also no visible signs of staff cleaning and disinfecting tables & chairs in-between customers. Just a quick wipe with a dry cloth. I used to enjoy Stella's but it's clear there is no longer any pride being taken at this location. Sadly won't be back.

I usually enjoy the service at this Stellas location but, this evening we had the worst and most confusing service I’ve seen from an establishment in a long time. It started with the waitress blaming us for our order being incorrect. I ordered the vegetarian sandwich which she clarified while taking our order. Not only did we have to wait 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches in a mostly empty restaurant, we had to ask her to check on the order and we saw that they had been waiting on the counter. She blamed the slow service on cooks that were training. Upon receiving the order, I realized that she had brought out a grilled vegetable sandwich instead of the vegetarian. When I brought this to her attention she stated “she heard me say grilled vegetable”. Okay, they sound similar I’ll let it slide but she did not apologize and did not offer to make me the right sandwich or to comp the sandwich until we asked. I asked if I would just be able to have the right sandwich made. We waited another 20 minutes for her to bring out the exact same grilled vegetable sandwich. When I brought this to her attention, she stated that this was the only vegetable sandwich they had on their menue. I had to show the waitress the menue for her own restaurant. She again blamed the kitchen stating that she plugged in and they made the wrong one twice. At this point I had waited an hour to receive the wrong order TWICE we asked for the bill. When she gave us the bill she mentioned that she waived my second sandwich for me. ???? Implying that she was planning on charging us for the second sandwich that was supposed to correct the first order which was incorrect. I asked to speak to her manager and she did not call him. I had to explain that I was not going to pay for the sandwich she made us wait twice as long for that I didn’t even order in the first place! She told us she can take 3$ off. The most confusing customer service I’ve ever received and for the waitress to consistently blame the kitchen and taking no responsibility is a huge red flag.

Took a bit of time to get a server, got one then he got our drinks, said he'd be right back to take our order,we waited as he stood around the cashier talking with other staff, got our order in, was brought to our table but we sat there with no cutlery on the table to eat with. Got my burger wich was really pink inside.got our waiters attention and pointed it out to him, him and the manager tried to convince me it was safe but I don't eat pink hamburgers, and so I said no I don't want it and ordered garlic bread.... You'd think they would compensate for my troubles but no, I won't be going back

Server was hung over and took forever with our drinks and food. Other people were coming in after us and getting their orders before us. The manager came and made her way to our table and asked us how it was and I told her about how the food was good but service was slow. She immediately got defensive and was super rude to us (telling me how hard it is to be a server) we got out bill and left. never coming back to get yelled at by some pregnant rude supervisor.

Never a bad meal at this Stella's! I highly recommend you get there for breakfast or lunch Monday to Friday and ask to be seated in Shannon's section you will not be disappointed. She is an absolute treat and takes good care of her customers. I'm certain all the servers do, but I have lucked out and each time I go Shannon is our server. She is amazing!

Ordered 2 salads over the phone for pick up arrived after the time they told us. When we showed up to pick the orders up they then informed us they were out of the majority of the ingredients after we paid. I ask for a side of avocado instead of the ingredients in my salad and they gave us the tiniest amount possible. Not even close to half an avocado. Waited 30 mins for our order after we arrived at the restaurant.

We chose this place because I heard they had vegan options and we were staying nearby. We sat on the roof, so I was glad to have my sunglasses as it was quite sunny with no shade. Many of the tables were coffee table height, which would be fine if we were just having drinks and appetizers. They were a little awkward to eat dinner at, though. This is the only reason for not rating 5 stars. Our meals were very tasty and filling. I couldn't resist some of the vegan sweets, so I bought a piece of chocolate cake to go. It was huge! Very moist but a little too sweet; I scraped off most of the icing. The bakery on the main floor had vegan cinnamon buns that also looked amazing.

We grabbed some drinks to go. Very bad service, maybe it was her first shift. Hot chocolate was meh, she put the whole tea bag in the cup, i had to dip my fingers in the the hot water to grab the paper end out. Didn't really talk to us besides taking our order. I have been here a couple of times and it is always very busy but the staff is attentive and courteous. Both times I attended, the kitchen staff dropped the ball on someone's order. Either the eggs we're overcooked or something else was wrong with the food. Although the majority of the food was good, sending something back is less than desirable especially when it comes out the second time still incorrect. Both times they made the error right with us and we will go back, for sure.

Our ladies group met for lunch. Each of us had a different menu item. The food was plentiful and very good. The server was attentive but not obtrusive. Only complaint was the inadequate parking. I personally spent 15 minutes circling looking for a spot. And we always arrive early, for 11:30am.

I love Stella's menu and variety, but this location is always very busy, especially when the weather keeps the patio from being open. Overhyped, poor food. I've been here three times and each time the food I was served cold, improperly prepared, or missing key ingredients. The first time everything was burnt. The second time they gave me dollar store jam trying to tell me it's homemade. And last time the brussel sprouts were missing capers (oops we ran out again!)... And they served me 2 consecutive cold espressos with broken crema. I'm not one of these "I'll never go back" people, but unless I'm incredibly interested in a woman and she's insisting on going there, my shadow will never darken their doorstep again. A place needs to be able to deliver on their basic promises and they can't even do that. For all the talk about food items there being so good and "homemade" ... Well I don't see it... they give me a lot of conspicuously bad food.

YUMMY! Fast service, friendly staff, in a walkable neighborhood. Plenty of vegetarian options and everything is local and fresh! Affordable pricing, however, pay with card or Canadian cash - will not make equal exchange if paying USD. Local chain in Winnipeg area but each location offers a different and unique vibe.

Amazing food. Haven't tried anything but breakfast items, but I haven't been disappointed with anything I have tried. Highly recommend the Mexican Breakfast or the Vegan version of it. My only complaint would be that they don't offer shredded hash browns.

I've been to this restaurant three times now and each time has been a real let-down. Stella's has a good reputation in Winnipeg, but this one does not live up to its reputation. They have a very poor selection of appetizers. I ordered one of the dishes, and the "manager" came over to our table 15 minutes after I had ordered the appetizer to ask who had ordered it, and then promptly told me that they were out of that appetizer and would I like to order another of the dishes? Are you serious? It took you 15 minutes to come out and tell me that a menu choice was unavailable? Of course I said no to ordering another item because there are only two choices and they were out of one of the choices. Plus god only knows how long it would have taken them to tell me that they were out of the second item. What kind of restaurant runs out of one of the two lousy choices of appetizer they offer. Pathetic planning and management. The the super small table we were seated at was crammed up against a concrete column so one of our party had to spend the entire evening with their elbow stuck in their side. The benches and chairs in the restaurant offer absolutely no cushioning. They are very hard to sit on, especially for anyone who has circulatory issues. I ordered the chicken club sandwich which was abysmal. The toast was extremely overcooked and hard, the chicken was almost non-existent. It was a complete let down. The only high point of the meal was the chocolate torte I ordered for dessert which actually tasted quite nice. One of the party at my dinner is a real foodie. She expressed to me afterwards that she has also experienced several meals that were total let-downs at that particular location. We have both dined at other Stella's locations I've been completely satisfied with the service and the quality of the food. A total BOO for Stella's at CCFM. Don't waste your time and money. Go to one of their other locations instead.

Not Safe for Celiacs!! (Repeatedly!!!) :( I’ve been suffering for the past week with GI problems, gas, bloating, diarrhea and pain. Probably have spent 7 hours on the toilet with diarrhea. My symptoms showed up right when I got home from eating my meal. I am sad to have had cross contamination again. I called them because in the past they’ve encouraged me to report it to them if it happens again. They reviewed my order and confirmed that everything is gluten free and extra washing of the equipment was fine since I specified that it was an allergy and celiac disease. The manager Raymond at CCFM said it couldn’t be from eating there because my symptoms showed up too soon after eating for the bacteria or virus to cultivate, plus that they cleaned the equipment. I informed him that gluten is a protein not bacteria. They always ask if I went to the hospital to get treatment and that if I did they will call the health inspector. I am definitely sick from eating there though. I am not impressed with their knowledge on preparing gluten free food safely. They must used separate equipment. They should not claim that they can prepare food safely for celiacs. Very frustrated. I will report to the health inspector to help them review their practice and information on this. This is unacceptable to be so sick from a 15$ meal. So not worth it. Over the years I have gotten sick at Stella’s a few times a year, and I have reported it to them 3 times and receive the same kind of response. Other shared kitchen restaurants such as Maxime’s, La Chaise on Provencher and Earls by Polo Park have been able to guarantee a safe experience for celiacs. It comes down to the ability of the chef and the safe space available.

Usually have a good experience here but that was not the case today. We were told there would be a 10 to 15 min wait which is no problem. Someone came in after us however and after requesting a table for two (same as us) was shown immediately to a table despite us already being there and waiting. I understand they are busy but this felt very rude. Our order was also not correctly made. It felt like we were not checked on for drink top ups until we were essentially done our meals. This was an outing for my moms Birthday and it made me regret choosing stellas and will make me second guess coming here in the future.

My absolute favourite patio in the whole city. It's so big, so many tables, and they have such a nice setup with light strings and flowers on the tables. It's fully fenced in so you don't feel like you're sitting in the parking lot. There are so many trees, you don't even feel like you're in the city. Their staff is always bilingual which is awesome. Food is always fresh and healthy, and cheap!

A Really good restaurant with a memorable menu!! Stella's in St. Boniface [one of seven locations] is really different-- in a good way. For instance, they have a "Mexican Breakfast item" served as a vegan or non Vegan option! In the summer, one can eat indoors or outside-- where there is often "Live Music". The food is freshly prepared and the service was very professional (and bi-lingual). The few "negative reviews" are far outweighed by the hundreds of very good reviews!! It is definitely worth a visit--- and you WILL be glad that you did!! I hope that this Review has been helpful!!

Before even being seated, the front-of-the-house staff were difficult to communicate with, lifeless, and seemed to have no sense of urgency. It seemed like they were lost. After putting my name on the wait list, and eventually being seated, I attempted to order my meal. Firstly, I requested an iced coffee. Our server stated that they had ran out of iced coffee (at 2pm on a Sunday). Ok, no problem. I ordered an iced latte instead. Once we received our drinks (after waiting for some time), we waited at least 20 minutes for our server to come back and take our food orders. When they finally did return, I ordered the chorizo hash but our server stated that they had no hash (this eliminates 1/3 of the menu). “Ok,” I thought to myself, “I’ll try something else.” I decided to order the jambalaya but apparently they didn’t have that either. At this point, I wanted to know what I actually could order. I ended up getting a sandwich. It was already bad enough that I wasn’t able to order (seemingly) half of the menu but then we had to wait almost 25 minutes to get our food. No sense of urgency from our server, at all. At this point, my experience was laughable. After being there for over an hour, we finally received our food. The person I was with ordered the quinoa and kale salad with 2 poached eggs. They brought out the salad, stating that the poached eggs would be brought out shortly. After having finished half of their salad, the eggs finally were brought out. The couple beside us were told there was no eggplant for one of the dishes. After this experience, I had to come back to change a previous 5-star rating. This was not only my worst Stella’s experience but one of my worst restaurant experiences ever. It wasn’t the wait list that bothered me but the experience once we finally got in. I wish I’d left after ordering drinks. I’m not sure what has happened to this Stella’s over the pandemic but it certainly isn’t anything good.

This is by far my favorite Stella's location to go to. We'll pass others just to come here. Staff is friendly and the food is always good. The odd time I've had an issue they fixed it immediately. Favorite thing to order is the Harvard, pesto, tomato sandwich with grilled chicken. It's amazing. Filled with cheese and top quality ingredients such as the homemade pesto which I always ask for extra.

We were huge fans of this location and came here at least once a month. The last few visits however the service has noticeably declined. On Sunday our visit took almost two hours: 15 minutes to be seated (which is fine and actually shorter wait than usual on a Sunday), but over 15 minutes before we could wave down a server, which took our order even though we were not in his section. Food came rather quickly but trying to get the bill turned into another 15 minute wait. The poor service was not isolated to our table as we witnessed many tables with uncleared dishes, and people desperately waiting for their bills. The manager came over and apologized and offered to take our coffees off the bill, which was nice, but when the bill came the coffees were not taken off, which took another few minutes to change. As we left there was a massive line up of people waiting, it's too bad most of them could've been served sooner if the staff was more efficient or better trained. Not one staff looked over 25 years old, so many a more experienced manager is needed here? Needless to say I hope things get better here, but I think it will be quite a while before we return.

Amazing food, used to eat here 6x/week, but recently learned they cook their products with toxic vegetable sprays. Why use good quality eggs and then ruin it by using a spray full of carcinogens instead of just using butter? Such a shame.

Stella's is a predictably delightful experience. While there has neen so much negativity surrounding Stellas in the media I can safely report Stellas has thankfully not changed in key ways...service quality is still excellent...food taste is wonderful...and overall experience is relaxed and enjoyable. Our waiter told us jokes and was prompt with refills and attention. My Cafe breakfast was really good and actually big enough to share with my wife. It's a great place to meet friends or family and have a good chat while enjoying a great tasting home cooked (feeling) meal. Glad to see Stellas is making positive changes and keeping the good parts intact.

A great place for a quick dinner or a snack. I come here with my girlfriend all the time. All of their food is good, and their drinks are great too. Home brewed Iced tea, fresh squeezed lemonade (I'm a big fan of Arnold Palmers) and fantastic coffee. Every time we go, we have to try to get their delightful carrot cake, but they're quite often out, which is always disappointing.

This is my go to Stella's. The atmosphere is amazing. I have had limited issues with the food and where there is something wrong they fix it right away with no attitude. If you are wanting to try out this local chain this is the one to go to. Even if you have to wait for seating there is lots of open space so you aren't jammed into a small entrance. Before you go make sure you pick up a loaf of their fresh made sourdough and homemade Stella's original jam

Stella's has been a go-to for me long before they expanded, but unfortunately this is one location to avoid. Do not sit on the patio, especially if you're thirsty. Service has been consistently iffy the multiple times I've been here. A few examples of many experiences: - I came here alone for lunch after the rush (around 2pm), and there were only two other tables. I was sat and servers/runners were helping the other tables, even avoiding eye contact with me, but I recieved no service for 20 minutes. Rather than hounding someone down, I left as my time was limited. - Two of us were sat on the patio and it took 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken. We waited another 30 minutes for our drinks until I decided to go to the counter to grab our two coffees and waters myself. - Gave it one final shot during Father's Day with a table of 6. We were sat on the patio and had the same server. It took 20 minutes to take our drink order, so we ordered our food and drinks at the same. It took 25 minutes for the drinks to arrive, and 45 minutes for our food. The server, while pleasant the few times he did come around, did not check on us once during these waiting periods. When we asked him why it took us 30 minutes to get water, he said there were no glasses available. We watched other servers continue to deliver water to their tables while we waited. The Manager comp'd our coffees ($10) after we spoke to her, which was nice. I understand that it was a holiday, but have never experienced this type of service during a holiday before (even at other Stella's locations). I'll continue to visit other locations (because the food really is delicious), and hope these service issues at Provencher are resolved soon.

Delicious. Stella's is sort of a Winnipeg institution and it seems everyone has had a leisurely breakfast at one of several locations. Being in the Cultural Center parking is plentiful. During the warm months there is a very nice patio. I will reveal that the beloved Mexican Breakfast contains no real Mexicans! 100% Mexican free. It may be possible that there isn't even a Mexican making them. Still delicious though.

GO TO STELLA'S, Stella's is my go-to. It's good for brunch, good for late night food cravings. The menu is friendly to vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. The staff is extremely friendly. There is decent coffee, aswell as a decent selection of alcoholic beverages and smoothies. The menu is delicious and the prices are very good. I would suggest the garden veggie burger or the any of the breakfast dishes.

Stella's is a favorite local restaurant chain. They have grown rapidly over the years. Fortunately , their eating experience has kept up with their expansion. Their location at CCFM is a favorite of ours. It has lots of parking and the staff is friendly and informative. It is very busy at brunch. They have great breakfast options. Their house jam is addictive. Their food isn't fancy but it is tasty and priced appropriately. Consistently outstanding and if not, they are happy to make you happy by the end of your meal. Worthwhile checking out and their other locations. Licensed. Vegetarian friendly options.

One of the best patios in the city: a fenced off area featuring sculptures, trees, lights and a stage! A great place to come and see local French music while enjoying hefty portions of delicious food at a reasonable price. Great drinks and coffee here too. You might have to wait for a table during peak hours, but there is a free art gallery right by the entrance so its easy to pass the time.

Great patio, great breakfast food! The menu is a bit small but I've enjoyed everything on it. Today i had the French Country Omelette with sourdough toast. i don't normally love the toast with a meal, but boy was this good! The hashbrowns were also delicious, very nicely seasoned with herbs. the omelette was fluffy and well-stuffed with toppings.

Arrived at 12 and reserved a table for 12.45 with name and phone number. Waited on site in view of staff. After 1 pm had to ask when we would get a table. The hostess told us we were behind two groups. Five groups later we inquired again to the male host, who tried to accommodate. Told we were next - then another group was seated by the female hostess. At 1.20 we asked about our reservation and the delay. The female hostess then tried to tell us that she called out my name but that I did not respond - my husband interjected to indicate that we had been standing there the whole time and no name was called out. She then claimed calling my phone - despite no phone call being received, nor seeing any calls being made ???? - since we were standing there the entire time. Finally seated, we ordered tourtiere but they were out. Next, the Norwegian salmon but they were out of this as well. Could not make eggs benedict because it also called for salmon. Fourth choice was Pad Thai. Arrived lukewarm and tasted like sugary citrus -- I have never tasted a sweet Pad Thai. I could not finish it. The overall experience was very poor. The staff are nice enough (the young guy at entrance was attentive and our waitress was quick) but general oversight and training are needed at the door. Despite being busy due to the rainy day we would have expected a lot more. It left a poor impression after visiting other places in Winnipeg. Thank goodness we were in good company - that made all the difference.

It is a great restaurant to go in and eat at! There are days when it is packed and you need to wait, but that will happen at any restaurant with delicious food like Stellas! My personal favorite item is the mushroom and havarti burger! It is a must try if you have not yet.

I'm just here to write about the jam. Lol. I ordered a breakfast that came cold, doubtful it was the restaurant's fault. Inside my order came some jam that looked like it was made by the restaurant. WOW!! It was so delicious thank you. It looks like you sell it there...and I think I will be buying some from you. Amazing because I'm not even a jam person at all. Also, you use quality bacon and the hash browns are so fresh and cooked to perfection.

Very disappointing. Ordered smoked salmon eggs Benedict and was told they had no smoked salmon. It was 9:30am on a Saturday. Not sure why they were not prepared for what is probably one of the busiest days of the week. Oh, and they had no waffles. What do you mean you have no waffles? Do they use frozen waffles? Why else would they be out? Waffles are pretty easy to make so I was very confused by this. Breakfast was cold and not very appetizing. Server was too busy to even bring us coffee refills or the water we had asked for when we first sat down. Received my bill and they tried to charge me for smoked salmon eggs Benedict. I didn’t have that as they were out of smoked salmon as I stated above. Was told I had to pay for that as the kitchen staff said so. I asked to speak to a manager and he gave me 3$ off. What a horrible experience.

I'm generally a fan of Stella's, but this one is in a somewhat odd location. Once you make it in there though, it's surprisingly big, with an even bigger patio which is shaded with a lot of vegetation. Avoid the external seating area in the evenings, because you'll get eaten alive by mosquitoes. The staff is friendly enough and the food is pretty good (which I've come to expect). It's a bit out of the way for me, but I would definitely recommend it .

Went for breakfast for the first time and I have to say even though the place is nice and clean with nice music and good food the service was slow and the staff were not really attentive to checking on customers. I had an egg and bacon croissant with a side of hashbrowns and my bf had French toast. The plates had satisfactory amounts of food, the prices we're reasonable just service lacked. We waited for ever for our food and it wasn't even busy. Not going back any time soon.
