In my opinion this is one of the best Sobeys locations I've shopped at! The selection is better than at a lot of other stores - the gluten free and natural food aisles are excellent. The staff are very friendly, and the meat counter staff are always happy to wrap up uncut soup bones for me from the freezer for my dogs. Produce is always stocked and fresh. My usual stop for day to day essentials!

Excellent fryers, roasting chickens and parts but dropped! Did the same at Safeway! And they wonder why their market share is so poor!

This is the only big box grocery store in these parts that offers a local option for ice. Columbia Ice is a St. Albert owned business located in Acheson. When you shop at this Sobeys take a selfie with an employee and thank them for supporting local business and helping keep small businesses in Alberta strong. It not easy to do for big box grocery which has slim margins so when they support local I like to acknowledge them for doing so. If we don’t support each other nobody will. We all make Alberta strong by supporting local business.

Just a heads up if you need to do any grocery shopping. I was just at walmart and then sobeys. You should avoid sobeys. They are drastically price gouging. An 18pk of no name eggs is just over $2 at Walmart, $4.25 at Sobeys. 30pk of toilet paper ar walmart $15, sobeys its $23. No name bacon at walmart $2, at Sobeys $7. Sobeys explained that they need to keep people working. I agree. I have no problems with that. However, Walmart isnt price gouging and they're hiring 10,000 people country wide. When I went to walmart it was busy. So I went to Sobeys. They were completely empty of people except the workers. Avoid Sobeys as they're profiteering of the current pandemic.

Came for a birthday cake. Staff were very unhelpful on the phone and required us to come into the store to order a cake. Cake was good once we got it but the design was slightly sloppy. Tasty and on time though. Staff were very friendly upon pickup. Came with free candles which were a nice touch.

Great variety for your grocery needs. I’ve worked there before, and have been advised that if I do not know where a product is, I was to point them to the furthers aisle away, and as they go to search for their product I am to go ask where the product actually is, so that if they do end up complaining, I would be able to redirect them properly. Terrible customer service. My father was 79 years old at the time and was told to stock shelves on a step ladder. He passed out due to his vertigo on the ladder, fell and split his head open and was found 10-15 minutes later laying in a puddle of his own blood by a CUSTOMER. I was declined CCTV footage even as an employee, and was fired the upcoming week due to “having my phone in my pocket”.

Under staffed. Disorganized. And no staff to help on the self checkouts. The self checkouts can't even scan a loaf of fresh bread!! It just says item not found! And when the red light of death comes in the checkout , THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOBODY to address the problem. The store is old and not very clean. I won't be back. There are other fine stores in St. Albert that are more than willing and capable of addressing concerns in a more timely fashion.

My preferred Sobeys..however the past 3 shopping experiences were disappointing. Friday, May 10 stoped to purchase corn on the Coby..bulk...nothing left and flyer week just started! Yesterday, May 11, needed extra lean ground beef..sold out. This was at 1 p.m. Needless to say, very frustrating. Yes.. Mother's Day weekend, BBQ weather, but really?? This is more the exception than the norm. Still, for Sobeys, a good store.

The staff at this Sobey's are ALWAYS fantastic, super helpful and kind. I always enjoy chatting with the cashiers as they efficiently and carefully pack my groceries. I am a super critical person, but honestly have no complaints about this Sobey's (ok once a young staff member was standing around chatting while my cashier really needed help to bag and he was supposed to help me take out my groceries as I had 2 carts, and was too busy chatting so I ended up taking out one cart coming back and grabbing the second and doing it all myself while he stood there!!! but that was one experience out of hundreds and I don't see him there anymore anyways :))

Self check out associate left the area to return carts. Half of the customers were stuck waiting for the assistant while they were busy doing someone else's job. The associate didn't even apologize for the delay when they returned. The self check associate should be focused on the shelf check outs! Your self check out associate needs to be retrained! Self checkout is the future and you guys are lagging behind!

Clean and neat and the store is well laid out the place is really well lit too, some of the others are too dark. They have a good selection of everything and several choices for each. I like their seafood selection, I think it is the best in FSJ as far as grocery stores go, their Tuna steaks are outstanding.. and that is what I usually go there for, I highly recommend trying some on the grill. . They also have a great butcher shop, much better than the folks at the bottom of the hill. Their bakery is also pretty good. My only real complaint is I can't get AirMiles here, I am a Sobeys Club member but I have no idea what that gets a person, PC gives points that you can convert to pay off your bill and Walmart gives cash back. Anyway doesn't matter, parking isn't great but the groceries are 10/10.

There are other options in St. Albert, but none are as friendly. They carry big brand names and local products. The only negative thing I have to say is that they have dropped the Bailey's line of coffee creamer and Simply Limeade. All of the floor staff are excellent. They take the time to say "hello" and make you feel welcome. Well done for fostering a positive, welcoming atmosphere!

Handicapped Parking is Limited to 4 stalls. I would request more as 4 stalls just dont cut it. accessibility to the store is great, needs more ramps onto the side walk from each row of where cars/handicapped stalls are for people in wheelchair bound people.

Decent grocery store. Their produce and deli are really good - I love the pulled roasted chicken and turkey you can get in the deli/meal solutions area. Some of the store made salads in the deli are really awesome as well. Most of the staff I have dealt with here appear to be quite pleasant. I should also mention that the store is really clean. The store does have some low points though - like many other reviewers have pointed out, it is a bit pricey. Also, compared to some of the other St. Albert grocery stores, the selection isn't amazing. I like to buy some things here, but it definitely isn't the only place I get groceries at.

The staff in the store overall were all very friendly. BTW, There is 3 pharmacies around my house in Edmonton, and one right next door to my work. Driving to St Albert Sobeys was 100% worth it

I went to find Vegan Coconut ice cream, I didn't find what I wanted but it's hard to find. Sober is pretty expensive and now they don't carry anything safe in the bakery department for people with a peanut allergy so it's pretty frustrating when you can't even pick up anything fresh baked.

I love this store. Its so huge and had most of what i needed. This was my preferred place to shop before we moved. Weirdly enough it had a sort of Safeway vibe to the place. Not sure how else to describe it. There was always tons of baked bread on the shelves whenever i went in to grab some. Meat department had a great selection. Overall just a good clean store and I'm really happy with everything they offer.
