Great service, especially for custom orders. Our family favorites are their whole wheat buns. Not 100% whole wheat but healthier than white and still soft enough to use for hamburgers and the kids can actually get their mouths around it. We love the donuts -so soft and fresh. And I just discovered they will do our favorite bagel flavors in whole wheat (parmesan herb whole wheat was amazing!)

I had such a positive experience with Grandin Bakery. They did 2 cakes for my sons 1st Birthday and I am extremely happy with them. I brought in a photo of what I wanted done and the decorator did exactly what I asked and in the colours and design I specified.I couldn't be more happy with the service I received from everyone in the bakery. Job well done! Will definitely be back for our next special event.

Ordered the classic Chocolate cake with the buttercream icing plus 6 cupcakes with multi swirl icing for my husbands birthday! The cake & cupcakes were such a hit with everyone, so delicious and moist!! Highly recommend to everyone! Ordered the day before and was ready for pick up by 11 am!

We will never use this bakery again. We used to only support Grandin bakery and go no where else. This was a time in the past when they had staff that were friendly and welcoming. I'm disgusted with the staff now and their absolute rudeness. There is nothing wrong with their products but it's a sour taste from the staff. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way now and has stopped going there and supporting them. Maybe it won't matter that only 5 or 6 of us don't go there anymore but maybe it will and I will definitely share how horrible the place is with anyone who asks

Donuts are amazing for the price, best you'll find in st Albert. Some of their cookies are amazing (chocolate dipped short bread), some are more for looks than eating (decorated shaped cookies like butterflies and such)

I always get my donuts for my customers from here! They are always so fresh and so good! My customers always like when I show up with a box for them! I've even had new customers call me back to ask where I got them, as they've never tasted donuts this good before! I've also bought cakes, sausage rolls, cinnamon buns there as well, and they are also just as tasty! Highly recommended!

I really really wanted a cupcake and while Grandin Bakery wasn’t my first thought, my husband suggested we give it a shot. We selected a variety of cupcakes and also grabbed some sausage rolls, cinnamon buns with icing, and a delightfully soft loaf of cheese bread. The cupcakes came from the fridge, which meant the icing was initially hard but once we let them sit at room temperature they were delicious! The cheese bread doesn’t have much cheese inside, but was good, and I would personally pick the cinnamon buns without icing next time as I found it overly sweet to the point it overwhelmed the cinnamon flavor, but the texture of the buns was perfect. I believe the bakery is fully nut free so a good choice for school treats too!

I shouldn't have walked into this bakery; I almost wanted to buy everything! They have an excellent selection of treats, and the girls at the front desk were so friendly! I will have to begrudgingly return to this establishment with a wagon and a bank draft to buy out the stock. Delicious!!

Found this little gem and ordered a bunch of donuts. They were delicious! The only feedback I really have is that an older woman who was dealing with us seemed annoyed, and didnt really come off as friendly. There was a younger woman that did chime in at one point who was quite friendly though. I’d be back for more donuts.

We ordered our gender reveal cupcakes from Grandin Bakery this past weekend and they turned out perfect. The staff were super helpful and made decorating recommendations. The staff were friendly when I placed the order and friendly when we picked the order up. This was my second time ordering from Grandin Bakery and will definitely return with any future bakery needs. Highly, highly recommended!

Grandin Bakery made an Inside Out cake with Sadness on it for my son's birthday...it was so yummy and the detail work of Sadness was amazing! I was extremely happy with how the cake turned out and how fresh it tasted!! I will be back for my next cake!!

Very happy with custom-decorated half slab cake for my husband’s 65th birthday party. I gave them a general theme of truck, trailer, campfire, trees, and they created a beautifully decorated and delicious carrot cake, with a cream cheese icing that was not too sweet. My husband was thrilled. All the guests were also impressed. Most of them live in St. Albert so I hope the bakery gets more business as a result! I recommend Grandin Bakery to anyone who needs a custom cake.

Ok so, their donuts are fantastic! I had the privilege to enter their establishment to see a full donut counter “ a rarity ” and whiteness these delicious delights in their full glory, so many wonderful combinations. Their donuts are literally jam packed, stuffed full of custard and drenched in glaze, the list goes on.! Forewarned they are not the cheapest donuts, they shouldn’t be cheap like I said they are quality soft, chewy, sweet and delectable quality !

I really wanted to love it, but my second visit was as underwhelming as the first visit. Got sugar cookies. They were very crunchy. Got butter tarts and they weren’t very flavourful. The service was good but honestly the baked goods were so underwhelming. I’ve had better butter tarts from superstore, and the sugar cookies while pretty, only had that going for them, I’ve had better from other bakers and even made tastier at home with grocery store dough. Nothing about this place or the food is terrible, but it’s below average in my experience. :(

Me and a friend drove from Moe today. We were keen to test out the pies everyone was raving about. My bread cheese pie was delicious, pity about the atrocious service. The lady i think her name was wendy orking in there today was rude and stone faced. I asked about a quiche and her reply was "yeh cold" that was it, all of 2 words and just a blank expressionless look on her face. No such thing as friendly service at this bakery. The pie was good but I won't be returning, unless the service improves.

They used to make mini cakes with icing on the top and on the sides as well. It truly looked like a cake in mini form with the sprinkles and icings on the top & side . Then one day, they decided to get rid of the icings on the side & sprinkles and then only add a small scoop of the icing on top. Now it was just a glorified cup cake ! . Despite cheaping out, they then raised the price from 2.75 to 3.50 . This makes no sense to jack up the price with now less icings and sprinkles . They should rename their mini cakes to big cup cake now ! Big dissapointment. When I inquired about the change, all they said was they will check with the baker why she decided to change their mini cakes. They did not respond when I inquired why the price was raised too. Also, I like their sausage rolls and pick them up for lunch occasionally. They charge me 2.00 per roll and when I buy 2 rolls , it 4.00 even. However, sometimes they charge me 4.00 plus gst. Soo inconsistent.

Not a great experience. It seems a little fruit on top of the cake is out of the question. I went there by recommendation of someone else. I could not do the same. Not friendly, very rigid people. Nothing special for $60. A lot to pay for such poor service and mediocre cake. Very sloppy decoration. A big disappointment.

I cam here because of the nut free environment as my son has a nut allergy. The cake was delicious however they only get a 3 star rating because the cake was expensive and they messed up the coloring of the cake. I was offered a free candle to make up for messing up a cake that cost almost $80. Very disappointing.
