Our favorite family breakfast. We know the waitresses and it feels homey whenever we go there. Great food, fast service and friendly. Can't beat this place for price either!! Must try there Benedict omlette with half a strawberry waffle!!
This is my favorite breakfast location! The staff are wonderful and the food is always delicious!
Quiet, good food, reasonable prices and excellent service.
Love the food and the service is great. Been coming for years! They even put a candle on my sons hashbrowns for his birthday :)
We were the first table in at 7am. We were greeted with a smile. We were a table of 7 burly and handsome men so no wonder she smiled at us. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was hot. It's like home made food. Priced well. Good experience.
Good food, good service, slow kitchen
I wish I could give a 0 but it wont let me. We got there on a saturday of the sept long weekend at 10:00 a.m. and our food took over 1 hr and 15 min for two meals. Mine was an omelette with pancakes, and hubby's was sausage, bacon, eggs and toast. Nothing fancy nor nothing that should take over an hour to make. Our server never even came by to tell us we have a wait for food she just avoids tables. People who came in after us and got similar meals got theirs first. Our server got our order and didnt come back until our food came out, which I had to check on because we have 2 newborn twins with us and they were starting to get cranky. So I asked if the food was ready if not we had to leave. Shortly after this happened a table that came in right after us left and decided it wasnt worth the wait as again the same server didnt even come back to their table. Our server was an older lady with blue in her hair and there was a hostess with blonde/brown curly hair that told us once she stops caring she doesnt check on her tables. Excuse me? At 10 in the morning she stopped caring so who is she a server? You guys are understaffed and over seated on weekends. You either need more servers or seat less people. Also our food can out barley warm when we got it. We definitely will never return or reccomend to anyone else. McDonalds and Tim Hortons has better customer service and food.
The food was great and the servers were really nice and down to earth. They came by frequently to refill drinks. The coffee could have been better but everybody likes it different so maybe it was perfect for someone else.
Good service and great food. If you're having breakfast you have ti try the hash browns
This morning was my first d’lano’s experience and it will most definatly be my last. My family and I showed up for breakfast and I was the last one to arrive. There was a table juggle being done to fit us. We had 7.5 of us. We were aware that it is a 6 person max due to covid so we were going to sit at different tables (which we were totally fine with) but I was just finding out what was happening when I arrived. The “old hag with the sleeve tattoo” (the term “old hag” is appropriate for how horrendous she was to us) comes up to me, hits me on the shoulder, mumbled something and then storms off. Then a server comes by and says we better follow that other lady before she gives our table away. Finally realizing what’s going on we rush over there and the old hag says “I’m losing my patience with you, get your people and sit down”. I tried telling her we had no idea what she was wanting us to do that’s why we didn’t follow behind her. So we grabbed “our people” and sat down. Other customers heard how she spoke to us and were mind blown aswell. Our regular server was very pleasant. I asked our server if this was out of character for the lady or totally normal. She didn’t want to say much which in turn said a lot. So at check out I decided to tell the “old hag” how I felt and she proceeded with “ haven’t you been watching the news! You should know it’s only 6 people max at a table”. I reiterated to her that I am fully aware of that and we weren’t asking to all sit together and that how she handled it was very inappropriate. This lady should NOT be in customer service. And I highly recommend the company to be firing her which I did state to her aswell. I completely understand that this whole covid thing has thrown a loop in all business procedures but how she was to us was very uncalled for. I’d also like to add that after observing her with other customers she would rush ahead of them to seat them and then proceed to slam/throw the menus on the table and point to where they were to sit and then walk away. Just terrible customer service she gives.
The eggs benedicts are good. Like most places the eating is alot better than to go
4 stars - great service, good food based on the price point. The coffee is subpar but I'm sure the clientele that have been going there for years enjoy it. I wouldn't let that deter you from going here for a good home cooked meal. I have only had the breakfast.
Was looking for somewhere new to try for breakfast because I always go to the same place (yolks) and get the same thing ( breakfast poutine). So I tried D'Lanos, and the service was good but the food, was so-so. My sister ordered the veggie omelette and I ordered the veggie eggs benedict. The eggs benny's was good but my sisters omelette looked like the cooks pan was too hot and too much oil was used because the egg part of the omelette was brown and a bit dry.
It's diner food. Tastes fine and the coffee is bottomless. Service is good. Exactly what I was looking for.
I eat here almost every Sunday as a treat to myself. Their food is consistently good and the staff are friendly. Definitely my favourite spot in PG!
Poor service. Had breakfast here yesterday, waitress asked if we were ready to order, I was about to order and she walked away and had to wait another 10 minutes before she came back to take the order. Ordered a waffle that was supposed to come with blueberries as the menu said, it came with a blueberry jam/compote this made the waffle soggy and ruined it. Also it took around 8-9 minutes for my empty coffee to be refilled even while it was sitting on the corner of the table so it was easy to notice. Would not recommend.
Paper menus that have been reused in a Pandemic. Staff stand around front counter and giggle. Wall at end of bar has ketchup on it, for 6 days. Not clean. Terrible for breakfast. I recommend Denny's on the bi-pass. Clean, good food and professional, great for breakfast or any meal.
This is your typical old school Cafe with all the homely vibes. The staff members are always very welcoming and courteous. An ideal place for Sunday brunches with family.
Had the supreme omelette, which was good. Large quantities of food! For a quick bite of food, this was a decent stop. Bathrooms are quite clean as well!
The best place for breakfast. Every time i come to PG. I have to eat here.. i got the spanish omelet. I'm pretty sure thats what i get every time i come here. So yummy. Highly recommend this place.
Took over an hour to get our food and when it finally came it was cold. Eggs were rubbery , the roll up or crepes were just a mushy mess. Will definitely not go back again????
Not a bad place used to work there when it was Ricki's the menu is the exact same did not appreciate being called Hon by the woman with all the tattoos on her arms or sweet heart by the same person I am only sweet heart to my partner. The place could use some sprucing up as the seats in the booths are split and cracked and the pies are not the same of what the used to be,had the chocolate cream pie looked and tasted like it had been in the cooler for at least a week crust was falling off completely loose from filling and the so called whip cream looked and tasted like it was fresh out of the Dairyland spray can greasy and oily not recommended
The staff is amazing.. also the food here was sooo yummy and hit the spot. They also made my daughter very happy by adding extra whipping cream on ger pancakes. :)
Bit pricy and they forgot to dip the French toast in eggs so my dad ended up eating toast with powdered sugar on top.
After we drop the kids off at school, my wife and I come here frequently. The service is excellent! Prompt and efficient. Courteous and always smiling. They serve us and always seam to know when to come check on us without bothering us constantly like so many other places. The food is great!!! Amazing portion sizes. I'm never big on breakfast and consider a couple pieces of toast filling, but I will down a completely full plate from D'Lanos of eggs, hash browns, sausages happily an without hesitation. Amazing service guys! Love coming here. Keep it up!!
This is my absolute favorite place to go. Great service! Super friendly. Awesome food, I've never had a bad bite at breakfast or lunch. Great coffee. I recommend this place for all my friends and family for a good brunch.
Dine in
Food is good, but can never get the order right. Go there once a week, order same old omelette and ask for NO CHEESE absolutely no cheese, please no cheese even tried saying allergic to cheese. Still the plate arrives with a block of cheese which needs to be picked out. Of course they offer to remake it, but to wait another 30 mins while the rest of the table is eating. Think we will go back to gramas inn weekly.
I was craving pancakes on Saturday and my friend had suggested D'Lanos; I am so glad I agreed as it was my first time going there. The customer service was great, though it was super busy, they found time to check up on us till our meal came and even after we got our meal. They kept coming to check if we were okay or needed anything. The pancakes were Soooooo good, I was super full by the time I was done eating every bite on my plate. My friend had the beef dip cuz it was one of her favorite meal on the menu. Will definitely go there again ????????????????????.
Awful never go there again used to be real good but now using Costco food it's just not go at all never be back
I have been coming to D'Lanos since it was Ricki's Pancakes, it is always my families go to place for breakfast, the food is great, the prices are amazing and the staff make it feel like home.
Couldn’t complain, everything I expect from a classic diner; huge menu making for hard choices haha, large servings, bottomless black coffee and friendly servers.
Best hashbrowns in town! Highly recommended! Supreme omelet was
Delicious food hands down! A bit of an extra wait but hella worth it.

This restaurant not only had fast and friendly service but the food was delicious. You get what you order with a pleasant friendly warm reception. I would definitely make it my one stop restaurant when going through again.
