Rocky Mountain bakery is a staple in Powell River. Mark and his crew deliver delicious and wholesome foods and baked goods every day. I especially appreciate their catering to those of us who are gluten intolerant.

Stopped by today for an ice cream cone on a very hot afternoon while waiting for the ferry and found a note on the door that they had to close early due to short staffing. We were just about to leave when the owner kindly invited us in and served us a couple of ice cream cones, amidst trying to getting everything clean and finished after closing for the day. It was an incredibly generous gesture and one that we appreciated so much, so thank you kindly to you for your customer service. We will definitely be back when you are open to try some of your delicious baked goods - the menu looked fantastic!!

HEY! You looking for pizza? Well, you found it! Baked fresh every morning and sold by the slice of an 18" round this is sure to satisfy! These pieces are massive! Not for the fancy thin crust folks. 2 slices are sure to fill a pretty hungry guy or gal. Give em a shout and have it waiting when you head to the ferry, or when you get off the ferry! Just go check it out!

The family returns to stay south of Powell River regularly and the grandkids now expect Grandma will drive to town and pick up cinnamon buns from Rocky Mountain. Guess other families do the same since these delights usually sell out early in the day.

Lovely place and such awesome people. They close at 5pm every day but we walked in one evening, straight off the boat, camping and exhausted looking for pizza. Mark happened to be there prepping for the next day so he let us in and fed us the BEST PIZZA IN THE WHOLE WORLD! Thanks so much!

I looking for a bakery to make cupcakes with bumble bees on top for a surprise shower on Savary Island. I only gave them two days notice and when we showed up from out of town they were perfect! The Carrot cake cupcake was the biggest hit! Thank you very much for making great cupcakes on such short notice!

At $10 plus a tip prompt, I feel financially disappointed with this sandwich. It tastes exactly how it would looks - like a big homemade sandwich. What drove me to write this review was that there wasn’t any sort of redeeming pizazz to justify the cost - hard to not think they are just simply capitalizing on their location by the ferry. Front till lady with the short brunette hair was excellent though!

Came in and had a plain croissant and their raspberry cream cheese croissant. Their plain croissant was very good, buttery, flakey, and was perfectly baked. The raspberry one was nice as well, not as much cream cheese as I was hoping, but still good.

Great spot for coffee & food while waiting for a ferry. The Rocky Mountain bakery is just up the hill from the large ferry terminal (line-up) parking. They are DOG friendly allowing animals into the bakery, so you don't need to leave your pet in the car. Rocky Mountain staff are NOT checking vaccine status for clients eating inside the bakery or outside on the patio area, so it is much quicker to get a coffee or drink and having something heated-up to eat before returning to the waiting ferry line-up.

Love going to Rocky Mountain. Coffee is always fresh & hot. Love their menu. I love my quesadilla. Alex loves his soup and of course the sandwiches are the best, especially the roast beef with the works. Try it.

Stopped in at this cozy but spacious cafe with my girlfriend while in town visiting her family -- a true gem. I had the BBQ Roast Beef Sandwhich and it was amazing: the bread was toasted crunchy but soft, carmalized onions and red peppers brought a sweetness to the tank of the bbq sauce and the roast beef was moist. Just the right amount of melted cheese. Girlfriend had the Monte Cristo sandwhich and **THIS WAS THE STAR OF THE SHOW**. The Monte Cristo was gooey and rich, with plenty of melty cheese, fluffy but crunchy bread and a fantastic balance of flavors and textures. Absolutely divine. The butter tarts here are to die for. 5/5 would recommend.

Terrible coffee. Can't get orders straight. I ordered a triple cappuccino, and asked if she could make it "dry". The girl at the counter confirmed the order. It was not dry, and it was a single, not triple, in spite of the fact the girl at the counter confirmed the order twice. I then asked the other lady for four of their pastries. When I got to my car and opened the bag there were only 3 out of the 4 items I ordered. I then took a sip of the cappuccino and it was so bad I had to dump it. Yuck! Undrinkable!

Decent food, nice people and good coffee at a more than fair price. Their is a little bit of a retro feel to the atmosphere. I was happy to see they had alternatives for picky eaters even some gluten free offerings. Rock Mountain has free Wifi and ample seating. Being close to the ferry this is an ideal place to get a snack, finish some work, or email while waiting to walk on.

Breakfast burritos are to die for. You pay a pretty penny but they're chock full of greasy goodness. Don't buy two like I did unless you want to spend all day eating them. Not that that would be a day poorly spent.

We had a long wait for the ferry to Comox and were parked at the Powell River ferry terminal. We wandered up and found the Rocky Mountain Pizza and Bakery shop for a coffee and snack. We were surprised to find that the bakery had a wide selection of baked goods, fresh bread and offered a range of coffee drinks. Lots of indoor seating and seats outside on the sidewalk.
