Hot serve food gone early seemingly every night. Certainly nothing special or conveinent regarding store hours, as it closes by 9pm like every other store. Expensive everything. QF ONLY sells name brand products. There are no cheaper branding options available as there is in other grocery stores like Safeway or Save-On-Foods. Such as No-Name Brand, Western Family or Safeway Select. You always pay the highest rate possible. Parking/navigating the lot can be awkward depending on your vehicle size or for those who have trouble parking in general. You may have to park on the far side to avoid the tight corners when the lot is full. The reward point system is a huge failure and frankly an insult to anyone who is ignorant enough to be loyal to quality foods for points. The prizes are terrible and require an ungodly amount of points to even get a teacup. A few good things that set them apart are the cashiers. You aren't forced to use a self checkout scanner. Also, their paper bags are a great option. Very few grocery stores have paper as an option. Instead they have a 5cent fee for each plastic bag they continue to use. Quality foods is on the right track in that sense. As they leave it up to the customer to choose between paper or plastic.

Always in past (since opening), I've found your Chinese food the best by far, for price, quality and convenience. Today I bought a quick 4 item combo to share with son. Rice had solid hard chunks that cracked a tooth. Prior, we noticed the meat in chicken balls still pink, so could not finish. My sons Sechuan beef was inedible as neither fork nor teeth could pierce it and it had to be chewed and gummed then spat onto plate. At least chow mein was edible but no apetite. Terrible Covid causes customers to be treated like 2nd class contageous filth. Now even the kitchen staff care nothing for 'quality'. Never ever again will I purchase premade food here. Never.

Quality Foods is by far the best chain of grocery stores I have ever seen and I am envious of every community that has one. All the staff were beyond helpful and added to the overall shopping experience. The food from the delicatessen was delicious, and prepared and served in-store. A good option when looking for a deal with there daily specials and you can use your card to get a bargain on one item of your choice and get as many as you want at the sale price ! This is one of my favorite places to buy fish and lamb , I find they also have a good selection of veggies and the quality on some are far better than some of the other options in Powell River.

A decent grocery store. They have a nice deli section. Parking is abundant from the strip mall they are attached to. Produce was pretty fresh and they have a good selection of dry goods. They had fresh ice cream as well, but we never tried it. They are close to one bus route and have a bike rack nearby. Pricing is a little high, but overall the quality is good.

Great china food Store always clean 2 star home del Have had issues with home delivery in the past....not ordered recently. They could improve this service by figuring out how to keep the person happy who does this job. Mostly all were very disgruntled. Some were VERY rude ...some very nice....all quit the job. I stop using the service which has saved me a lot because u tend to spend a lot more when u order it on line. Website for ordering was very well done. If they improve service i will use again.

Another supermarket with a good selection of brands and choice of products. They have good hot foods on sale both eat in or take out. They have a coffee shop / sandwich type cafe on the second floor offering seating and some seclusion. Also on the second floor they have a great selection of cool household stuff. You would need to go up and have a look to appreciate what's on offer. They have a unique range of small kitchen appliances as well. The last thing I like is the Quality food card and the great deal it gives you.

We discovered this grocery store in Qualicum Beach. We were tired of restaurant food and discovered their deli prepared take out (or eat in) food. We were delighted to see Powell River had one as well. Nice store and their deli / take out food is delicious. The pastas and wraps in particular. I tried the hot in store Chinese food once and it was pretty good as well.

My Wife went to quality foods today. She did not have her quality foods card with her, the cashier looked up her name, apparently found it and then ran the food through the till. Wife gets home and discovered it was run through someone else's account meaning she lost out on $20 worth of savings. She goes back to the store and they fix the mistake but they kept her receipt. She now just discovered the buns she had bought today are totally moldy, and expired 11 days ago. So we are left with moldy buns no receipt and the prospect of going back for a third time. This is far from being the first time we have run into expired and moldy food at "Quality foods". We are just going to take our business elsewhere.

This is a very nice grocery store with fresh produce. I do find the meat selection to be a bit pricey and to be lacking in family sized packages of chicken.

June 10th I bought a Napoli meat lovers pizza, I take it home, cut around the plastic wrap and as I lift it a live moth flies out from under the plastic. I'm not impressed and felt somewhat like I was imposing trying to return it.

Overall the store is good, prices have increased but sales are on par with the others. However, the deli meat slicers are terrible. Arrived home to Lund today & found instead of sliced roast beef the package contained little shrivels of beef, not one slice. The girl who served me said the first two slices didn't slice properly & I wrongly assumed she didn't give them to me. What a disgusting mess! Nit the fi st time either. Very disappointed to say the least.
