Friendliest folk in Pictou The Falafel Shawarma is an awesome sandwich, chicken is good too. Known as the shack out back, it's near the Ship Hector next to the RCMP. Take-Out, picnic tables, but why not walk 20 seconds to the seaside.

This is a pleasant spot to enjoy Syrian food. I ordered takeout dinner for the family. I really enjoyed the chicken shawarma, hummus, tabuleh, and baklava. The shish kebab plate really needed a sauce with it and a little extra olive oil as the meat and rice were dry (but flavourful). The salad either was not dressed or did not have enough so I needed to add lemon juice and oil myself. Overall I enjoyed my food here and will be back! The person cooking the food for me was also very friendly

Had a great experience here! The food was delicious and they warmed the pita over the food as it cooked, the pita absorbed some of the flavours. The hot sauce was tasty without being too spicy. Will definitely come back again!

Excellent food and the owner is super nice and generous too! My wife and I visited for the first time in our way back from Cape Breton and saw this authentic Syrian place we stopped there for a late lunch and the view was stunning and the food made it even better. We had the falafel sandwiches that were very flavourful (he added two extra on the side for us to try without bread) and filling and finished it up with the baklava! The baklava was very authentic and topped with honey! He gave us an extra which was nice! Thank you for the great experience. Tarek

The Best Arabic Shawarma we ate today. Tasty, big in size, yummy rice, green salad in one box with very reasonable price. Will go there again with my kids. The shining star kid sitting on the counter also helped me how to book a trip with a boat company. The lady who prepared the food was also so kind and made everything fresh.

The internet said Alladin was the real deal and we are inclined to agree. The shawarma and lunch specials are very good! The garlic and spice are toned down for the audience, but this is very good hot day, cold day, or everyday food. Well worth a stop - why not check it out yourself?

Wonderful family-run restaurant with Syrian and Canadian food on Pictou waterfront. Chicken shwarama is always a hit but you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Shady seating area is nice too.

Delicious find! WALK THROUGH THE HALLWAY PAST STONE SOUP AND OUT THE BACK DOOR. We were delighted when we finally found it! We had chicken shawarma dinner. It came with rice, a small salad, and some hot sauce. $12 CAD cash only. Well worth it! The service was quick, super friendly, and very interesting. Baclava was wonderful too, not very sweet. Just right.

Great food! Great service! I've eaten shwarma in Ottawa and Toronto, and this meat was my favorite by far! Make sure to order hummus or baba ganoush separately because it doesn't come on the plate/platter. I can't wait to eat here again!

Situated by the waterfront so wonderful view with your food. We got the Chicken Shawarma Plate and the Falafel plate which were both filing and delicious. The rice that comes with the platter is flavored perfectly. The staff were friendly and recommended options.

Docked at the Pictou wharf to grab a snack. It did not disappoint. Fish and chips were delicious. Others had the shawarma and really enjoyed that as well. It was a busy day but the food was prepared in a reasonable amount of time and was priced well. I will definitely eat there again!

We went to visit Alladin on a Saturday. We were pleasantly greeted by the friendly owner. We placed our order and sat at the outdoor seating. We ordered the chicken shawarma plate, hummus, Baba ganoush, and tabbouleh. Best tabbouleh I have ever eaten. The chicken shawarma wrap and hummus was also yummy. Lovely service by the owners (and their cute little girl). We will definitely return.

Best shawarma in Nova Scotia. I've had shawarma all over the maritimes and honestly I can say this is the best. The bread, gorgeous, chicken tender and perfectly seasoned, vegetables crisp and fresh. Not much is worth stopping for these days in pictou but if you're in the area I would recommend stopping for a meal here.

This restaurant was recommended to us. We ordered the chicken shawarma and some falafel with hummus. The falafel and hummus were very good, but the chicken shawarma was lacking in chicken. Seemed very disorganized, as the lady was trying to deal with her young children at the same time.
