This place is all deals, just like their commerical says, they take the frill out of your bill! I strongly recommend this place if you're short on cash, or just like a good deal. Their Flyers are usually limited but their whole store is pretty much sale. Dynamite place to pick up cheap snacks especially. Candy and chips are dirt cheap and still delicious!

Very convenient place to shop at for people living near to down town. Well maintained store, friendly staff and decent pricing. Their commitment to the society during covid19 is much appreciated.has a pharmacy in store as well. Only suggestion that I have is that the staff were pointing the customers to where the products where than assisting them to find it. I had to find 2 associates before I found what I wanted. They usually have good prices for produce here, staff are friendly for the most part. However, they do not keep up with the flyer prices. When brought to staff's attention they were quick to change the signs and deny that product was ever priced as marked. I'm not sure what the general rule for mis-pricing is, however I was not fond of how quiclky I was dismissed. In my experience, thev employees are a reflection of the employer. I've had enough encounters when items were either higher or lower than advertised. Will not be returning, I'll stick to Freshco where in the case that something is mis-priced they do their part to make it right.

Store looked great But after cashing out , i noticed my watermelon was brused and I wanted to exchange it. I was told , I had to wait in another line for a refund and then scan and pay for new one. This was so wrong. I sucked it up and took it home.

Nice grocery store, out of the way for me but I still prefer going there over closer places. Some prices are good, some are iffy, but sales are always great. I like the staff's uniforms. Don't appreciate dogs in the store, if they are not service dogs I didn't think it was even legal to have dogs in a grocery store with fresh foods... but that could have been an extremely strict policy I had at another workplace, which should be everywhere.

I started shopping here when Dieter and Darcy owned it. I loved shopping here. I could count on good quality greens for my rabbits and super prices throughout the store. The current owner seems not to care about the state of produce in his store. Herbs like parsley, dill and cilantro are usually covered in black rot. In the packaged salad section, quite often product is missing altogether. Out of store packed produce like iceberg lettuce and romaine lettuce quite often have slimy leaves. So often I have had to go to either Freshco or Sobeys after shopping at No Frills on George St because I have not been able to buy the fresh herbs and produce I need every week. If it wasn't for the Optimum points, I would shop everything elsewhere. So many products have not been on shelves - various canned veggies for example. They have also had product up for Optimum points but when I got to the store on Thursday, the day the new points week starts, there was ZERO product that was listed for points. How did this happen? Prices have gone up since the virus situation started. Some things like medium ground beef went from $4 to $5 overnight. Peanuts in the shell also went up from $9 to $10. These are just two examples. If the prices go up much more, I will try other stores covered by the President's Choice banner. At the beginning of the lockdown, this No Frills did a great job keeping people organized and did a noticeable job on the carts. Now, the carts are given a mere swipe just on the handle and not other places where one might touch. People no longer line up but just walk in the door. Staff do not wear masks and a great number of their shoppers do not either. It's making me uncomfortable to shop there much and there is a good chance I will be shopping elsewhere sooner rather than later. It's too bad. This used to be a fantastic store.

Love the store. The Cashiers walk right into you (forget the 2 meter rule), never put up the plexie glass barrier separating the 2 cashiers unless you aggressively demand it. Work as though there is no pandemic. Yes, they are the mighty "essential workers" but my life is "mighty essential" too, to many loved ones and friends.

Best place in the region to get groceries with respect to price. They lack some of the fresh departments (like a Deli) that full service grocery stores have, but the savings on regular items you buy can't be beat. The store has plenty of parking and is always well stocked. Remember to bring your own bags or be prepared to pay a nickle for each one you want, as most stores charge for them now.

We normally go to the No Frills on Lansdowne St. However we were in the area and stopped in. We noticed the store seemed bigger, cleaner, and most importantly the produce section looked better. Now it may have been a new/better shipment came in but the fruits and vegetables looked better. We did buy a few things here and we will most likely be coming back to this store even though it is more out of the way for us. We were happy.

Price rang: $$-$$$ I can always get a good bang for my buck here! I also love that they don't sacrifice quality for the lower prices. $100 means I walk away with anywhere between 5-7 full bags of groceries depending on what I'm buying. Meat and dairy are still the normal expensive produces, but that's to be expected. Their selection is good, food is always fresh, and I have yet to run into a staff member who is anything but outright pleasant. The location is easily accessible by bus or car, and is right in the heart of downtown Peterborough if you want to make a shopping day!

As the retail grocery business has become so competitive over the last several years I find that the savings are fairly equal among most of the grocery stores. While one product may be cheaper at No Frills another product is cheaper somewhere else. I don't really feel it is particularly practical or useful to drive around from store to store in order to try and buy the lowest price product here and the lowest priced product there. That all said I find No Frills to be a great place to shop on the occasions that I do stop there. If there was one close to where I lived I probably would shop at it more often but as I say I don't find the price savings from store to Stover to be generally significant enough that I want to drive across town to a particular store. And I also simply don't care for having to bag my own groceries and that frequently would probably be my primary reason for not shopping at No Frills particularly if I needed a large quantity of items.

This store does not buy local fruits or vegetables when in season. They continue to supply the store with mexican produce no matter what the season here in Ontario. I find this to be insulting to me and will no longer shop at this store.

DO NOT USE THE PHARMACY! *Staff are incompetent and rude. *Laws regarding narcotics are routinely broken (no ID asked for, given without an Rx etc etc). *Patients are left to self regulate their meds because of staff incompetence. *Incorrect dosage & medication are given. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Even though the cashiers are now surrounded by plexi-glass, none of them are keeping the doors closed, which they are supposed to do. Subsequently, when checking out, customers are now in close proximity to the cashier next to them. If they are not going to use this safety measure properly, what was the use in installing this plexi-glass in the first place? Also, carts are not being cleaned thoroughly anymore and customers are constantly being allowed inside without masks.

Tired of the discrimination over mask exemptions. Had a female employee "guarding" the entrance claiming she could not let me go in the store without a mask. I mentioned there was exemptions in the by-law, to which she threw her hands up in the air and scoffed and told me to stay away from everyone. Started entering the store and a second employee ("John") asked me if I had a mask. At least he let me in! This all happened with the newer staff t-shirts reading "Be kind". This insanity needs to end.

I shop here reletively often, but will never go again. Our last visit was in the morning, we went to pick up 2 specific items. We ended in the frozen section and went to walk to the checkouts, no one was in line and there 4 open cashier's doing nothing. We ducked under the "barricade" to go to one, and someone comes running at us screaming that we had to go line up through the aisle. We asked if anyone was coming, she said no, but go line up. She was so agressive in opening the bar that it fled from her hand and went whizzing around like a measuring tape does when it's long and you let go. So! We walk all the way down an aisle and all the way back up one (WHICH BY THE WAY if you want to shop in that aisle when there is a lineup, you're at such high risk! How do you shop in an aisle there's a lineup of people?! Not at all COVID safe) and we were within close proximity over half a dozen EXTRA unnecessary people. Someone else did the SAME thing when we got to the front of the line and NO ONE bat an eye. We went to a cashier and she snipped at us that we have to wait for her to press the flashing green button, and then proceeded not to say another word to us except rudely asking "bags?". Just an awful experience, regret not leaving our items and just walking out. Lineup should start by where the SCO lineup start, not through an aisle that further risks people's safety. Sereral staff just attacked us for no reason and picked up apart and no other who did the same HARMLESS action. Never going back. Just ridiculous.

The store is wonderful. It has also all the items one can think of in groceries and daily needs. The staff on the other hand is not much helpful. Some associates don't even know where the items are. Some cashiers don't even know what they are doing. I was charged twice for a same item. So beware. Check your bills before you leave the store.

Larger then your average No frills clean, lots of parking with a set of lights to help exit if you're going south. Annoying... only saw the large carts, no sign outside but you need a small cart to use the self checkout. Quite frustrating to wait in line when the self checkout was empty...I only had 6 items.

Been going to this location for 13 years and never had a problem with quality until this past year. This year I have gotten bad ground beef twice, chicken legs, chicken thighs and hot dogs. All of these items were within the expiration dates and already bad. They need to find out where the problem is and fix it. With food prices being very high this year, this should not be an issue. I understand u can go return the bad goods but I should not have to, the quality should be there.

I am from Bancroft and we also have a small No Frills store. This store is constantly out of sale items, the aisle are small, they never seem to have well stocked shelves, the workers stocking seem to have trouble getting around the store because of customers, stocking should be done at night. At the checkout it is very congested, when trying to bag groceries. Greg's No Frills is huge store that carry a wide variety of products, everthing is well stocked in bunkers and easy to locate sale items. I really like this store and will travel the distance to shop in this store, because it is worth the trouble. They also carry products that Bancroft store does not and that is a bonus.

I have been a long time customer there, spending about $5,000 per year Although they have a good selection of everything and their prices are lower than their competition, I have to now give this store one star and will likely not return until the pandemic is over. I just did a shopping there and saw 7 people whose masks were worn so low they may as well not have been wearing them at all. Surprisingly, two of the seven were store employees(!) Further, on my previous visit about a week ago I had to walk through a group (maybe five) of antimaskers who decided to congregate just inside the door in the produce section with their bare faces hanging out. All this despite having a security guard supposedly screening people at the entrance. WHAT THE HELL!! They have to do better at enforcing their own rules before I come back.
