The best kept secret in all of Penticton!! The Prague Cafe is a family run business where the owner takes care of the cafe most days with some help from his family every now and again. He is a very friendly humble man that makes DELICIOUS food and amazing coffee. Truly a gem in Penticton, could not recommend this place more. Enjoy sitting on the chair and tables across the road from the cafe as well, it has an amazing view of the Okanagan Lake.

Great little cafe! Simple menu, amazing treats. Just like cafes you’d find in Prague. The Chai Latte is one of the BEST that we have had and the regular coffee is good too. You’re also aloud one refill for the coffee. Highly recommend for a quick, light breakfast!

The gent running the place was indeed from Prague when I was there. For such a small place they have a lot of variety and good quality. Would recommend for grabbing a quick bite to eat or to grab a coffee to enjoy while strolling down the store.

Micheal and staff are very friendly and they know what customer service means. Their lunches are very delicious and they have the best Chai Tea Latte in town! During the summer you can even sit outside in the park across the street and the food comes to you! A must go to place in Penticton.

Spent a wonderful morning here watching the snow fall over the lake, listening to classical music, sipping a lovely London Fog. If you are looking for a delightful alternative to the stiff, characterless chain coffee shops, thus is it. I highly recommend it. Also excellent baked goods.

Very European feel to this coffee shop. Often there is a bit of a wait, but the food is always prepared with care and attention and well worth any wait. Love the rasberry lemonade. Order to go and walk across the street and eat at the picnic tables.

Honestly kind of disappointed after seeing how good the reviews were. The lady taking my order seemed uninterested and a bit annoyed. We ordered the ham and cheese croissant sandwich and it was mediocre. Not sure what everyone else is seeing but I was underwhelmed.

Excellent little cafe in Penticton! They have a fantastic European style breakfast and delicious sandwiches. The potato soup was amazing! We ended up buying way more food than we thought because it all looked so good. We also had fresh, melt in your mouth croissants and fresh baked apple strudel and strawberry rhubarb cake. View is awesome with chairs on the lawn by the beach and super hospitable owner. Highly recommend.

When you walk in off the beach you are taken aback by how awesome the location of this place is. As soon as we walked in we saw the owner chopping up some of his fresh streusel on the table. We walked up and asked for two small lattes, and were asked if we wanted one of the fresh pastries. I really liked that because I was not thinking of buying one but I have to give it a try if its his specialty. The streusel was awesome! But the coffee could use some work. The milk was a far to hot for the drink to be drinkable, and the coffee itself had a bitter taste to it. If they were to switch up the coffee provider, and work on some barista skills this place would be a five star spot.

You can enjoy American muffins but you can also taste very delicious cakes from Czech Republic such as a tradicional "babovka" or apple strudel. Found this hidden gem last week in Penticton. It’s customary to say Dobrý den as a greeting when you arrive and sample the typical Czech koláč and pastries! You will be greeted with a smile! It’s a little bit of Europe in the Okanagan!

I ordered a cappuccino and got a bowl of steamed milk with some foam and a little bit of coffee. The espresso pours from a machine and their portions are way too large to maintain any flavour of the coffee.... Although that might be what they want since it's a machine that does it. I imagine this place gets by with the baking and large portions for coffee but it's a far shot from good coffee. That being said, the owners and staff seemed real nice and friendly and there are regulars at this place. Maybe I've become too much of a coffee snob but don't go for the coffee. Go for the view and the baking.

My friend and I found this cafe after hungrily walking out of a clearly popular (but noisy and packed full) nearby breakfast spot. So glad we found Cafe Prague! The delicious coffees, buttery croissants, and a quiet atmosphere made us feel like we were in Europe. When the owner asks if you want cake or strudel, the correct answer is "yes"! Cafe Prague will be our go-to breakfast spot next time we visit Penticton.
