Fantastic staff. I purchased a large item here that had to be partially disassembled. The store manager was excellent. He made sure I had lots of help with taking it apart and loading it in my car. The gentleman who took it apart and helped me load it in my car is very friendly and helpful. Great experience with the store manager and staff. Thank you!

Just an everyday Walmart experience - nothing special and as usual it's hard to find someone to give you help, in spite of several staff wearing "Here to help" vests. Washrooms are generally kept clean so that's nice. Recently the on-site McDonald's closed so if you're a fan of their food you won't be able to grab lunch here anymore.

Definitely not a supercenter, they don't sell any fresh meats and have a small selection of fresh veggies. They do sell dairy, cheese, hotdogs etc, with a mix of dry goods and frozen foods. Staff is always friendly with good customer service. A bit on the smaller side so it gets crowded very quickly

This is a great store to go shopping at because it has everything and its all at a reasonable price. The tills get backed up alot though. I know quite a few people who worked there and they liked it. The only downside is how many people are outside smoking around the doors and going near the shopping cart areas you get asked for money to buy smokes from bums.

Very disorganized and hard to find what I was looking for. And there was no staff around to ask. When checking out they had too few cashiers on that the lines were so long it forced people to use the self-checkout (which I don't like using). But even that was disorganized and the worker was just standing there rather than helping people, showing them where to line up or which station to use.

I usually walk into Walmart expecting bad service and almost never surprise. I was in for a treat when i went there looking to acquire a blow up mattress. Asked a sales woman where i could find one. (Usually i get a "somewhere on that side of the store") but the lady took me right to them, asked in detail what kind i wanted and what she recommends to be the best. I was very impressed with the service. If they hire more people like her, walmart would have a better reputation. Otherwise, keep it up.

It is good place to get some deals and get shopping done fast and at the time i am posting this they are adding more treadmill checkouts to help with all those people who come and are bulk shoppers. hopefully they have people on them and dont let them sit empty or that wont do much good. There is also one of those picture places in this location so if you need a passport photo or hunting license or even just a good old family picture they can handle that. They also have a McDonald's in this location to so if you are ever hungry or just want a snack before you go shopping so dont over buy on junk and other stuff they can do that. The only real problem i have is the parking lot there has at least been twelve or more times when i have been harrassed for money or for someone to put my cart away and the infamous can i have a smoke it is even worse if you do smoke because those things aren't cheap.

My go to walmart because of convenient location. Easy bus route from downtown hamilton. Just one bus. But this walmart doesn't have a very big selection of items and often out of stock. Also one of the smaller walmarts. I've never had a problem with the employees. All seem friendly and helpful.

This is the smallest Walmart In all of B.C, if not Canada. This is a fact. Almost every photo taken and shown above are from other Walmart Supercenters. Lower your expectations when entering the Powell River location. The selection is much less. This store sells food, but don't expect to do your grocery shopping here. It only has a few essentials. It's not an actual grocery store. Expect everything to be smaller here. This is not a large location. Please report any and all photos above as incorrect if they do not represent the "Powell River Location". There are many photos that have been posted from other walmarts and are incredibly inaccurate. For those having trouble accessing the store, you must enter from Ontario Avenue and go down a little incline to the main entrance. During open hours of the mall you can also access it from within the mall.

Pet Food Dept. is such a disappointment. Flavors of Friskies indoor canned cat food have been taken off the shelves, and a lot of the time there are no 12 can boxes of the Indoor flavors. Frequently out of stock in canned and dry foods, and litter. I no longer shop there if I can help it.

Although Walmart itself doesn't get high rating, it is because of sweethearts like their cashier named Prabhjot that can make your shopping experience pleasant. She was friendly, sweet and helpful. Their inventory doesn't impress and sometimes completely empty of sale items (covid19 aside). Todays trip past the meat section displayed discounted ground beef that was grey. I've never seen that before so I'm thinking (hoping?) it was a one off. Although I have seen their reduced produce completely rotted on several occasions so..... Either way, at the corporate level this location is desperate for improvement where as the staff at this location is a fine mix of some amazing people. Prabhjot being one of them!

Parking can be difficult because this location is so busy. Store is decent, has all the standard stuff you’d look for in a Walmart. DVD/Bluray/gaming section is small. This is more of an “in and out” store but meets the need.

Wal-Mart has had me jumping through hoops for 3 months because my mom is dieing od cancer she has 2 daughters 4 grandchildren and she lost 130 lbs all we were asking was for help once for food and clothing as well as hygien needs and baby needs for a cherity for my mother dieing to help in an extreme situation we are in but after 3 months thy said they will not help us in anyway shape or form because they changed the charity feb 1 2016 and now she is not considered charity to them anymore. Always find stolen items in the shoe department, and the staff then walks by and thinks it's me being a thieving loser. Employees never try to help, they chit chat, especially in the electronics department. No one is ever available in the fitting rooms. Your discount prices aren't really rollbacks. Save the planet some waste and just take a small cut and stop trashing so much edible food.

Always a decent experience. I love to shop for groceries here, they always have great prices on meats, and also price match so you can get a lot of your shopping done in one go! We also go to their pharmacy and find all of the staff very sweet. I do find on the pharmacy side of things - I wish they would utilize their patient room more often instead of explaining everything at the pick up window. Other than that great though!

Walmart is the best place to shop for general wares in New Liskeard, though I must admit Im having some problems with it. I absolutely hate that they expanded self checkout when a lot of the time I just wanna pay with cash, and it leaves employees with less jobs! (I assume they did this as a result from being short staff as I've heard they were looking for employees before this) They added a temptation isle in order to get to the checkout which I find personally disgusting as it shows how far this Walmart is willing to go to milk their customers. I understand it from a business perspective but that doesn't make it right. On the plus side, their electronic department has been very helpful with helping me find a potential new phone and the clothing is quite nice here and there.

As far as Walmart's go, this is a rather large Walmart. Much more space. More shelves with many products not found in other smaller Walmart's. Even in produce and dairy. But it is the busiest of any Walmart I've been to. Parking lot is huge, but limited spaces, since those spaces are shared with the other retail outlets in the immediate area of the plaza. The parking spaces seem a little smaller than normal. Keep the sports car at home. Bring the beater. A go-to place for anything you need at prices that are lower than you expect on most items. Great value!

In so many words, it's Walmart. They have a lot of food in small packages, and sell it for a reasonable price. They come up with cheap knockoffs of products others spend a lot of time coming up with. They sell electronics way over priced, yet people still buy it from them because they believe Walmart is a trusted brand. They have 20 checkout counters, yet they never seem to have more than 4 open at a time, which makes for long waits in line. They move around products daily, which makes it take a long time to re-find a product you like, then when you miss it the first time (because it was put behind a random pillar in the middle of the isle) you have to go through the store again. So, it's what I expect in a Walmart.

Usually find what you want but half of the staff are lazy and unhelpful. For instance don't go expecting any assistance with any sort of heavy lifting, it will not happen! They refuse to even give you a hand!! Also waiting 30 mins to an hour to get products from locked cabinets is a REGULAR occurrence. Till staff are usually friendly and welcoming though. At the end of the day, to me, it's a place to get products cheap, and as long as that continues I will be back.

My first time in this store. It is pretty huge and big. Their wifi connection is very good compared with other walmart stores in Edmonton. It is quite easy to navigate through this store. This location is a little bit out dated compared to other places but they do a great job otherwise. The staff is helpful and they are good about keeping stock. Washrooms are clean every time we go. Although the variety of products is abundant, this Walmart store seems to have a hard time keeping its shelves stocked. When doing regular grocery shopping at this location I often find myself only able to get 80% of the items on my list, and understand that my list rarely contains specialty items or products that are niche. Sometimes they lack things ranging from Toilet Paper to Pork Chops. The produce is some of the worst I've seen of any grocery store. Bruised, moldy, wilted, pitiful, all of these are words that can be applied to most of the fresh produce stock available. The staff aren't much better to be honest. While many of them are polite and offer to help with a smile, it is rare. With arrogant customer service associates being the norm and nearly non existent managers around to actually Manage the store and it's moderately unprofessional staff. The store itself seems in good shape but this is marred by the obvious lack of cleaning standards. Sticky floors and dusty shelves, broken boxes and wood leftover from pallets make what could be a successful store rather unappealing.

Definitely a great place to come if you need a quick snack, this store has pretty much everything you ever need. Groceries, toys, sports equipment, books and furniture. The prices range from very cheap to moderately expensive, however most things of the Great Value brand you can find for very cheap. I felt that it was a fast judgement there, I walked in with my 7 year old son and it didn't take long for someone to start following me, probabley thinking that I was going to steal. Just because I am of color the floor walker might of thought that I was up to no good. Not every person of color steals. But other than that part you will find mostly everything your looking for.

It was nuts in there today. Also wasn't really happy that I couldn't use a store credit card that my wife sent me a picture of at the register. She sent me a picture of the bar code on the card. I asked how to use it at the self checkout and the employee said it couldn't be used. You would think in store credit would be an opinion on their self serve machines. Very disappointed in this. People now a days are using their phones more than ever. If the bar code is readable it should be able to be used. On a semi positive note I got a free cookie that they were giving out to the many people in line.

Horrible... bought a brand new bike for over $200.. there were only 2 left of the same bike, the first bike the brakes were all loose so we grabbed the other one and the back tire was low. So we refilled it with air and bought it. my husband wanted to drive it back home down the mountain he was so happy for it. 10 minutes into his ride home the tire went flat again and he ended up walking the rest of the way. I call and explain that I can't take the whole bike back can I just bring the tire and that was a big NO!!! Now we have to get a new tub for a brand new tire.. never will I buy a bike at Walmart ever again...nor recommend anyone too... would rather buy a used high brand name then deal with Walmart.. nothing is well taken care of prior to selling it.. you could buy you children a bike they get on it when you get home and it falls apart.. sad!!!
