Amazing pizza bar none! The flavours, Ingredients, decor and staff are all top notch here. Because of this it seems like they can be very busy. Went here for the first time recently without calling ahead and ordered a pizza and was told it would take 30 minutes. Since it was a Friday night and they seemed very busy, we were ok with that. The pizza ended being 45 minutes. Less than impressed and I was not going to rate this very well after the wait. That all changed though when we tried the pizza. We ordered the "ship wreck" and it looked absolutely stunning. Every single ingredient was top notch and you could tell as the flavours bursted through. This was bar none the best pizza I have ever tried and I usually reserve that judgment for my own handmade pizzas and a couple of other Toronto restaurants. This one takes the top prize. You can tell this restaurant buys only quality ingredients, products and even building materials to decorate and furnish their shop. Just make sure you call ahead for your order so you are not waiting unbearably long.

We’ve tried this place 2 years ago when we went to Parrry Sound. It was such a delight! This time on our way back to Toronto from Sturgeon Falls, we had to make sure we drop by again. Our ultimate favourite is Ship Wreck with Basil Pesto Sauce, Feta Cheese, 100% Real Canadian Bacon, Sliced Tomato, Sun Dried Tomato, Hand Rubbed Basil, Hand Rubbed Oregano, Sea Salt, Fresh Ground Pepper, Arugula & Balsamic Glaze. We also had the Hawaiian and The Carnivore which was equally exquisite???? The crust is thin and complements the toppings in an explosion of wonderful fresh flavours???? So good!!!

Mauricio's pizzeria is awesome and the staff are stellar. We stopped it for some lunch on our way back to Peterborough and I am so glad we did. We had the Mediterranean pizza and it was full of beautiful veggies and salami. But honestly there menu would fill anyone's craving for great pizza. Highly recommend and we will be back forsure.

I stumbled upon this place looking for good eats nearby & I'm so glad I did! The ingredients are fresh, and the dough tastes incredible. I could have had 3 pizza's all to myself. The owner explained where he gets the ingredients and why other pizza's just don't meet this level of quality anymore - I was blown away! He's truly committed to his craft. I highly recommend Maurizio's, and hope they open up shop downtown Toronto soon!

I called and asked if they carry gluten free pizza. The mother passed the phone to her “son” who basically ripped me apart on the phone, “uhh, how do you make pizza without gluten” that’s just ridiculous, you need gluten, it’s actually bad for you. He went on to tell me the process of removing gluten is replaced with chemicals. Regardless, my husband has celiac disease. It’s not a choice. The worst customer service and I’m not even a customer!

We went for a late lunch here on Thursday afternoon and I have to tell you.....it was quite possibly the best pizza I have had in my life. Thin crust, fresh toppings and the mozzarella..oh my word. Chef and staff were very friendly. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Will be going back again when we are in the area.

The ingredients were top notch and the crust was perfect (not doughy). The wood fired oven also cooked it to perfection. Best pizza I have had in Northern Ontario! Will be back.

The chef is great, they need a liquor license for the place desperately. As a recomendation please build a patio in the back against the hill would be the place to crash for all the visitors.

Best pizza I have ever had! I had an entire box to myself and I usually eat about three slices from pizza pizza or dominos pizza. Once I was done I was very full but it was very satisfying. Everything was organic. I would love it if they had a store in toronto. The lovely lady and her very friendly son were great. Great customer service. The store itself is very pretty.

There are not many gold medalist pizza champions in Toronto, so when i heard of Maurizios I needed to check it out for myself. Definitely worth the trip! They recently upgraded to a much larger venue, equipped with an amazing rotating pizza oven. We ordered the vegetarian and shipwreck - outstanding. The dough was light and crispy, I could've kept eating and still have gone for a run. Nothing was greasy, soggy or droopy. Just clean, quality ingredients. The service was great, it's a family oriented environment where they make you feel at home. You need to stop by.

Perfetto! A beautiful, thin-crust pizza with fine ingredients is what makes this place a must if you're around the area and looking for something to eat. Let's dive into this review: This is how pizza should be! You can't compare this pizza to, let's say, Pizza Hut or any other, because if you do, it's actually misleading (and no, I am not trying to knock the other pizza places.) This isn't where you are going to get half an inch of melted cheese on your pizza because it's not necessary. The ingredients and flavours, thin-crust pizza in a wood oven, all combined, makes this slice of pizza of quality, not quantity. You're getting quality here-- a balanced pizza (perfect amount of toppings to crust ratio.) You will want to eat the whole pizza to yourself, but this is about eating together and enjoying the finer pleasures in life. This will be the closest trip to Italy to experience their food (but there is more than just pizza, of course.) Highly recommend trying out the pizza here. Everyone enjoyed it and it really is delicious. Grazie mille.

The new dominos pizza is much better. I picked up the pizza when I was told to. By the time I drove 5 mins to my house it was soggy and falling apart, very messy. Also I tipped well just to find out the kids working there get 0% of the tips, all goes to the big man who was very grumpy and rude.

I called after closing not knowing he was closed, wanted two pepperoni pizzas for dinner and he gladly said stop in at 830ish and I'll have them ready for you! That's customer service! Be sure to take a Valium before going inside - Really average pizza served with grumpy pushy customer service - it’s like they wish they could be doing anything else. They also don’t seem to know traditional Italian pizza or what hst is. The tomato sauce was sour, and the crust was hard and dried out and had a deep fried oily texture. But the crust was thin... at least they got that right. You can get away with average food if the service and vibe makes up for it.. sadly this place chooses to be defensive and antagonistic toward their customers. Being nice shouldn’t be this hard.

When your last name is Italian you don't mess around when it comes to a pizza review. If you're in Toronto you go to Bitondo's for a panzerotti. When you're passing by Parry Sound on the 400 you hit the brakes at the exit at Bowes Street and head into downtown to grab the best pizza in town. This is serious Italian pizza, not some doughy fast food junk. Made in Parry Sound, but kicking it old-country right. Don't miss it.

The best pizza on earth. Their service is wonderful and I love that they give back to their community. As always, getting the chance to speak with Maurizio himself is always a pleasure. Highly recommend the sloppy eddie (pictured) or the Mello Nello.

Fantastic pizza. I go out of my way for this wood fired oven pizza. Shout out to the teen working the Friday of thanksgiving weekend who stayed 30 minutes after closing so we could still get a pizza upon our arrival to the cottage!! Great service!

worst place in parry sound, worst customer service I've ever had! I would love to say although their service is bad their food is great but I can't because I've been turned away 4 times since they opened their new business. they told me a 2 hour wait for pizza an hour before they closed with 3 tables full. very dispointed

I have to say it is the BEST pizza I have ever had! Crust was perfect - the toppings were MORE than plentiful and the customer service and cleanliness of the place (including the washrooms) was immaculate! Drive through option (great for these covid-19 times) where they announce your name once your order is ready. Went back for a second pizza the following day before leaving Parry Sound. Will be back in the spring/next year for sure to try out other pizza types! Highly recommended if ever in the Parry Sound area. :)

This pizzeria offers yummy pizza with a variety of options of toppings. The service was above average - fast and friendly. I would say that the only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that its slightly overpriced however that can be justified based on the remote location. Worth a try!

Love this place. Highly recommended. Was in Parry Sound for 3 days came back 2 days in a row. Ordered the Pizza Bianca (no meat) was DELICIOUS. Tried the Hawaiian... was equally great. The Vegantarian was OK... too salty for my liking but cause I don't like olive... My friends said others are also very good so... safe to try anything on their menu. The staff were wonderful. We were a group of over 30 people and food came out quick do not wait long at all. Overall great service and excellent wood oven pizza. Best in town.

Got 10 pizzas made for a large family gathering including one of the crazy inferno pizzas. Maurizio even gave me a small discount for ordering so much :). Everyone loved each and every pizza type I bought and it was honestly some of the best pizza I have had in a while. Fyi if you crunch the numbers Maurizio is cheaper then some of the other big name pizza brands! I will return first chance I get.

I found Maurizio’s to be very overrated, especially for the price. I called in my order at 2:30 and was told to come pick it up at 3:15. I arrived at 3:15 and then had to wait for 15 minutes while they made my pizza. I was offered a beverage on the house to compensate for the wait. The pizza itself was below average. Very watery sauce, decent dough and cheese, but overall quite oily relative to the quality they claim on the website. For a $21 pizza I was hoping for better.

BEST pizza ever! The ingredients are fresh and it shows in the aroma and taste of the pizza! I chatted with the Owner and he was very pleasant and told me that the dough is made fresh daily on the premises. The staff was so welcoming and professional ! I ordered the Fresco and the staff suggested the plant based cheese. It was DELICIOUS! Such a great experience :)
