Great service and value. We recently ordered some squares for an event and asked them to be cut up in bite sized pieces. They were delicious and well presented each in their own paper and convenient to pick up in pizza boxes for us to put out on trays at our venue. They were recommended from a friend and I would recommend them for your self catered events too!

Ordered a french chocolate cake last month for a very special person's birthday with some detailing on it. The cake was scrumptious and the details I had asked were done so perfectly. I have always been a fan of there cupcakes but this was my first experience ordering a cake. The staff are very kind and the ingredients they use are so fresh,will definitely recommend ????

My wife and I stopped here while in the area visiting and we each had a cupcake. They were the BEST cupcakes I have ever had. I had a lemon buttercream cupcake,and I was very impressed. It was not too sweet, but very flavorful. I will definitely return next time I in Ottawa.

I’ve worked down the street for 4 years and happened to go in for the first time today because metro’s dessert department was too busy. I bought the most amazing French chocolate cake. Will return to this gem for all my cake needs going forward! Excellent service as well.

We bought some cupcakes and were rather disappointed. They looked sloppy in appearance and we're very bland in taste. The icing tasted like tile adhesive and the cake portion was very dense and pasty. Oh well...We tried once, but would not recommend the cupcakes.

This has been a a go-to bakery for numerous family events (including my own wedding). Their flourless chocolate cake is creamy, rich, and delicious (pro-tip: slice it a bit smaller than a normal slice of cake due to its decadence). The tuscan tea cake is also a personal favourite of mine - very moist. I prefer their full-sized cakes versus their cupcakes due to the full-cakes higher cake to icing ratio.

Hands down the best chocolate chip cookie in Ottawa and so far that I have ever tasted. Extremely rich and buttery I suspect which makes this my special treat. Breads are incredibly as well and you really can not go wrong with any of the baked choices. Add that to their very friendly service, you have a recipe for success.

Had a chocolate cupcake that was very heavy and filled with too much dense chocolate in the middle, if you like a kind of weird overly heavy cupcake then it is decent but I would consider for most people that it is not really the ideal texture for a cupcake. The bread is heavy as well, however in this case is works well, and for their bread I will be coming back. **Edit** I have gone back a few times when getting bread which still remains to always be delicious, and I got tempted by the sweets a few times so I bought a few. They were always weird, I don't quite know how they are messing up their sweets. For instance their lemon square which tasted meh at best, had kind of terrible presentation/texture with the curd not really setting and so when they put the square into a bag the square completely fell apart with most of the curd separating from the base. I have also tried a few other sweets, but they were very bland, and to be honest I am not quite sure why... maybe shortening instead of butter? Or forgetting to add salt? Really too bad as I really do like their bread and especially so as it isn't very expensive. So 5 stars for bread, 1 star for sweets, average it out and it is a 3 star experience. Oh, I should also add that they have been very nice to me which really makes me want to like their sweets. **Update #2 **: I actually quite like their cookies (I still buy a lot of bread there so I am tempted time to time). They are not a normal chocolate chip cookie, but more of a flat crisp cookie. I have adjusted my rating accordingly (to 4 stars).

I really like the cupcakes and they arent too over prices but the actual cakes are really expensive and on top of that their hours really suck to be honest, only Wednesday to Saturday and only I think 11-4? Makes it hard to come here when I want to but its redeeming quality is those cupcakes, the rich French chocolate one is my favorite.

We love this bakery for bread and the occasional sweet treat. The bread is hands down the best in the city. The cupcakes are best at room temperature, and they can vary from ok to perfection. The vanilla is ok, all the chocolate type cupcakes are amazing. The chocolate orange Florentines are to die for. I usually pick up these to surprise hostesses, and they always get rave reviews! The brownies are also amazing. Things we don't love... we ordered a vanilla buttercream cake but weren't huge fans, it was very dense and heavy, and the icing a little bland... the carrot (spice) cake is ok. The staff is always very friendly and overall we love this little shop!

Went to this wonderful bakery on Dec 23, for bread and delicious Tuscan tea cake. I waited in line outside, as per covid restrictions. When it was my turn to enter, we were informed that there was no more bread, fresh or frozen....understandable. I said too bad we all waited outside. The reply from the owner was "we don't need this abuse". I was dumbfounded! There was Tuscan tea cake, but I just turned around and left. I will NEVER go back! I put it down to her being totally overwhelmed. Clearly, it's just a hobby for her, since they're closed 50% of the time.

Had the milk chocolate cake and I was delicious, I was able to order one within 24h of needing it and they customized the top for me. You can tell they care when you buy it and they mention when you should take it out and let it sit.

A no-frills bakery with some classic treats and home-made appeal. Not much innovation in terms of flavours and rather amateurish in presentation but this can sometimes be a nice departure from the high-end aesthetic of other places in the Glebe. I don't think I would come here again, but I wouldn't describe my experience as wholly negative.

Amazing people, wonderful bakery. I would especially note their raisin bread (Thursdays only) is the best ever, if you like it dense and chewy. The chocolate croissants are to die for. Strongly recommend getting both fresh out of the oven at opening time - chocolate will be molten. Yum!

Best croissants I've had and very good cupcakes. My only complaint is that I find the icing on the cupcakes insanely sweet and can never finish one without a sugar overload. It's unfortunate because I love the flavours.
