I love the bread and coffee here. They also offer a very high quality sandwiches for a very reasonable price. The only thing I wish they could improve is the type of disposable cups and other plates they use: they are not recyclable and even if you buy a small date square, they'd put it in doggy bag which I think is a wasteful. Otherwise, food and pricing is wonderful.

Had 2 terrible experiences in the last month at bakers table. -ordered a large dessert platter to be delivered to a large family function and it was not delivered at all. Got a refund. The owner said he'd make it right, so we gave them another chance and ordered another dessert tray for our next big family function. The owner was very rude to my mother who was picking the order up, she was not allowed to pick up her order even though it was preordered and the staff knew she needed to pick up for a special event. She called the night before to confirm she would be able to pick up as quickly as possible having prearranged the order. they made her wait in line outside of the building which was lengthy and would have made her late for a function she was hosting. While speaking to my mother, the owner got very rude and said "you Italian people " absolutely appalled by this remark and the lack of clarity in direction to customers picking up orders. No luck with delivery or pick up. I'll drive to toronto to get better quality Italian foods and desserts as well as service.

Insanely busy there was no room to move. It was around 11am on a Tuesday. The hot counter veal sandwich smelled phenomenal but I didn't get one do to the insane line, I came for brownies which are frosted and fudgy, super sweet and rich and my kryptonite. Grabbed 2 veal and 1 chicken parm sangwedges which were pretty tasty. Also grabbed a pizza and it was cold. Kinda like the young lady that served us! Cold and miserable was she. Having a bad day? Please don’t take it out on us. We make it a point to be extra nice and kind to people during this pandemic ( rest had great COVID plan in place). Obviously this pandemic has gotten to the young lady. Hope she has a better day tomorrow.

Amazing coffee for less than Tim's, really the best filter coffee I ever had in a public place. Few tables inside and another few outside remind a bit of Italy and European style and allow you to enjoy those great veal-on-a-bun sandwiches with coffee and desert on a quiet Sunday afternoon.... But above all there is this happy cloud of friendly, homey atmosphere, with all the chatty and busy ladies there to help, and the baker himself the very image of a firm, hard working, honest man, planted on Earth to give us all the daily bread made with his own sweat. You don't feel like going into a shop; you just enter the best friend's home to ask for some bread and you feel great to see his family is healthy, all is good and life goes on. Bread and joy, that's what they sell. Well worth the money!

This place is always busy because it is so good. I've bought countless cakes, pastries and buns here. I've tried a hot buffet a few times as well. Never had a problem there. Everything is delicious. I was told by multiple people this was THE Italian bakery to go to. After my visit I couldn’t be more disappointed. I walked in with a co worker of mine to grab lunch for ourselves and the rest of our work staff. Couple veal sandwiches and a couple arancini. After asking what was in the arancini (they are made multiple ways), the lady helping me with my order replies “uhhhh.... RICE?!” Now here’s the funny part. Arancini is made with one type of cheese. After giving her response in a disgusting tone, she then didn’t know what cheese was inside.... anywho, they were disgusting. Dry, no sauce, cheese was cold. Veal was decent, but again a little dry. Very little sauce. No cheese. Didn’t get any of the toppings correct. Obviously this is the best Italian bakery for people who aren’t Italian. There’s another place on Stevenson that is 10000000% better, with 1000000% better service. Definitely will NOT be coming back, nor will I ever recommend or encourage anyone else to go here. Very disappointed.

More of a Delicatessen than a Bakery, they provide all necessary ingredients to make your own or purchase pre-made, by the 'Table. All ingredients, deli or otherwise, are made on site with few items outsourced. Regardless, the food is delicious and has a great family atmosphere. food was what i would expect from an italian bakery. kinda turned me off of going back when I witnessed the gentleman behind the counter talking to staff as if they were garbage. I could see the stress in their eyes. I was speaking to another lady in line and she said he was the owner! if this is true, i'm utterly disgusted. That man needs a refresher course in being a good human being. I tipped my server girl but the level of abuse she was handed was very sad to see. what a shame.

It was my first time today driving from Whitby. We loved the way the store was organized in Covid times by restricting 4 persons in store at a give time, which makes perfect sense. The store is neatly organized and in sync with bakery and other items. We loved the bread (brown) and I have to tell you it was super good. I am a big donut fan and found my Boston creme which was a surprise. Keep up the good job guys and we will be coming very often.

I recently tried this bakery based on the reviews of their Black Forest Cake, and we were not disappointed! This was THE BEST Black Forest cake we’ve ever eaten, smooth moist deliciously fresh cake with soft creamy icing. Hands down, the best buns in Southern Ontario; very reasonable and affordable too. If you want a taste of Europe, go here! If you don't want your typical Canadian soft bun (that you can't even spread anything on because it falls apart) that's overloaded with sugar, go here! Their buns are light weight, yet chewy and airy. You really can tell this is homemade artisanship at its finest. This isn't a place where they get pre-prepared shipped buckets of dough from Costco or Gordon Foods to simply throw in the oven. It's hand made quality stuff! Each bun is uniquely shaped and sized.
