I had Jenn make a wedding cake for my reception and it was FANTASTIC. I mean everyone was saying how amazing the cake tasted, it was moist and full of flavour. It was also gorgeous! She is talented and takes the time to listen to what you want/suggest for the cake. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding cake or otherwise.

We've only come for a tasting so far but are SO pleased with everything. Jenn has already made this an amazing experience and was already going above and beyond within our first meeting. I appreciated the fact that we were 10 minutes early for our appointment and she already had every detail ready for us to go over and sample and was completely prepared. She spend time with us and was very considerate and concerned about making sure everything was perfect for our special day, even discussing the size of our cake topper and how big or small the cake should be to make sure that everything looked proportionate and perfect for us. The products were all amazing and SO filling! Jenn is so wonderful and easy to communicate with compared to other places that I contacted, who were already trying to sell us other items before even offering a quote on a wedding cake. I've read the other reviews and what people are saying about Jenn sound to us like they were talking to a different person than we were so I don't know what must have happened there. We look forward to working with Jenn for our wedding cake! Update: We had our wedding and the cake was so beautiful and tasted AMAZING! I could eat the cake for days!

If I could give 10 stars I most definitely would. Jenn assisted me all via email to create the perfect 30th wedding anniversary cake to surprise my parents with. She was super accommodating and helpful in the creation process. I chose a lemon blueberry cake, vanilla buttercream, edible flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, and little white chocolate pearls. Very fair pricing as well. My parents were absolutely blown away when receiving the cake and said it was the best cake they had ever had. Without a doubt we will be ordering future cakes from her! Thank you Jenn!

Popped into their new location in Courtice and was warmly welcomed! The store front is clean, well organized and inviting. The smell of fresh baked goods and positive atmosphere forced me to purchase some cup cakes and cookies ???? Having eaten a lot of cupcakes and cookies.... I can honestly tell you these are without a doubt the best I have ever had! Charismatic Cakes is now a frequent stop for me & my family and should be yours as well... I'm being generous by saying "Charismatic Cakes" are a one star bakery. We bought these for a family birthday and I'm certain to say we were very disappointed at best. The cupcakes were very dry, dense, and flavourless. We will not be coming back to this bakery, and I don't recommend going to "Charismatic Cakes".

I picked up two cupcakes there. One was cookies and cream which was a let down. The "chocolate" base was a little rubbery. The base and icing were almost flavorless, tasting like nothing specific. HOWEVER, the apple (dumpling?) cupcake was one of the best I've had! It tasted as if the best elements of fall had come together for an explosion of deliciousness!

If you are looking for customized, fair-priced and impressive cakes, Charismatic Cakes by Jenn is the place to go. For reference, I posted a photo of my wedding cake made by Jenn - the one with the champagne glasses. To plan for my wedding cake, I shopped for cake vendors in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto; Jenn was the only baker who met (and exceeded) my bespoke service expectations. I planned my wedding from a different province and Jenn was very easy to work with long distance and was always available to meet with me in person when I was in town for holidays. The first consultation : Jenn was very patient with answering all of my, my fiance's and my mother's questions. She carefully went through all of our ideas, explaining the baking and decorating techniques that are used to achieve different designs, and drew several iterations of my dream cake to make sure that it was exactly what I wanted. She also made several different suggestions to make sure that I stayed within my budget, but still got the product I was hoping for. The tasting: Jenn prepared all of the cakes I wanted to try in cupcake form as well as all the fillings and icing I wanted to mix, including several that weren't even on her option list. She was very professional in her presentation and patiently guided us through the mixing and matching of flavours and textures. The cake order: I was very excited to order a four tier cake, with each tier containing multiple cake flavours and fillings; no other bakery was able to create this for me. This is the description from my wedding program: "Six layer melody of decadent chocolate cake, dark chocolate ganache, pink vanilla cake, fresh strawberries in whipped cream, and lemon cake, all enrobed in a fresh blackberry buttercream" She even matched the sugar flowers to those I had in my bouquet and did brush embrodiery & lace fondant appliques to match the lace on my wedding dress. The bottom tier resembled a ruffled skirt and another had Chanel quilting with edible pearls. The top tier was stunningly balanced on champagne glasses filled with pearls. Jenn went above and beyond by buying an extra cake pan as the size I wanted was an irregular size. The delivery : Jenn was very reliable and checked in with me before the wedding to assure the bride that the cake is something I don't have to worry about during the weeks before the wedding. Since I personally wanted to cut the cake in front of the guests, she took the time to explain how to gracefully deconstruct the cake and even gave us a cake cutting chart to follow. The reaction: The guests were super impressed with the cake and it became "the spot" for guests to pose to take pictures. The cake was beyond delicious and several guests commented that it didn't taste like the regular wedding cake they have come to expect at weddings. As our family tradition has a second day party after the wedding, several guests came back for second and third helpings of the wedding cake. I can't wait to taste it again at our 1st wedding anniversary. I recommend Charismatic Cakes by Jenn to anyone who wants their dream cake beautifully executed and reliable, friendly service.

The details like wipers, mirrors, door handles and license plates made it almost impossible for my son to cut into. It was several layers in places. Every morsel was moist and delicious. Kids and adults were snapping pictures. Thanks so much for taking on my request Jenn.

Karen and I ordered a cake for the first time from Jen for my sister in laws birthday and to be honest I just went with the reviews I saw on google. We picked a Harry Potter themed cake and the cake was the highlight of our party. I ordered a 2 tier cake themed Colorado Avalanche for my Fiancé's 30th Birthday. I used email to communicate with Jenn. She responded quickly and professionally! The day of I picked the cake up with my mother in-law; Jenn's business is out of her house, the business area is separate from the rest of her house and was immaculate in cleanliness. The cake was Perfect! My fiancé and everyone at the party was aw struck by the cake! the first tier of the cake was chocolate with chocolate genache filling. The second tier was maple nut with dulce de leche filling. Both were delicious! Will definitely use Charismatic Cakes by Jenn again next time I need a cake!
