Located inside the old Post Office building in downtown Dundas, this bakery has all the classic baked goods of a small-town bakery. This includes pies, squares, scones, tarts... possibly cinnamon buns (which weren't there when I came! D:), but the rhubarb square made up for it. -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"

First visit to Village Bakery Dundas and it will not be the last. Susan and her staff performed a miracle for us. They made a wonderful carrot cake and made it into a beautiful wedding cake with cream cheese icing decorated with white and purple flowers with less than 24 hours notice.

Wonderful little bakery! Best sausage rolls. My kids love the beautifully decorated cookies. Great soups, scones, tea and coffee.

Amazing selection, it’s cash only. You get super friendly staff and the owner, Susan, is an absolutely amazingly awesome person and if you have Bernese Mountain Dog she’ll give you and your dog lots of extra treats!!

Their whole wheat multigrain loaf is very good quite nice for sandwiches and toast as well. Usually bread is too heavy for toasting if it's good for sandwiches but this one has a good balance and works very well

I live in Dundas and love this bakery. Best brownies in town. In fact, I broke my own rule and bought a second one while having tea with a good friend. My friend had the lemon coconut squares which she said were awesome! Just a note that this is a cash only establishment so visit one of the four Banks at the corner of Main St W and Sydenham Road before you go. Great Halloween decorations! Just love the witch on the window sill! ❤️

Susan and her staff are always great. I've been here multiple times. The cookies are always a treat, I serve her quiche and bagels to my B&B guests. And we love the meat pies for a meal.

I went to bakery for the first time and found they only accept cash. Luckily I had cash, I normally do not. In this day and age that is disappointing especially during a pandemic to only accept cash?? I bought 2 small loaves of breadreally small, and it was $15?!! I will not.be back as.that is too expensive.

Bought a rhubarb raspberry pie Saturday morning. Pie was baked on Friday. The filling was dry, heavy and bland. I paid $15.00 for a pie that should have been thrown in the garbage. If Village bakery doesn't believe it, we still have 1/2 the pie. Go to Weil's bakery. Village bakery should NOT sales day old pies at full price! O stars!!!

The dinner rolls are the best I have had and the cakes are delicious. I always order birthday cakes here, the taste and quality are far superior to anything available in grocery stores

Very rude owner. Store website doesn’t have opening hours. Opening hours on Google are wrong and out of date. When I pointed that out, and also that people working full time cent really shop between 8 and 4, she very snarkily informed me - a front line healthcare worker - that “it’s covid”. Message received, will take my business elsewhere.

Susan and staff did an amazing job for all the baked goods I ordered for my daughters shower. All of my guests were raving over all the scones, cookies, tarts and squares. The sweet table over flowed and looked amazing!! All was delicious!! Everything was fresh and full of amazing flavors. I highly recommend them!!

Everything is fresh made on the premises and it smells heavenly. They take orders too. Just call ahead. Fabulous pies, beautiful cakes and wonderful goodies, not to mention fresh bread and rolls.

This amazing bakery is filled with a lot of delicious breads and desserts and other tasty treats!! CASH ONLY...BE SURE TO BRING REAL MONEY!! I bought a choc chip banana bread and my nephew got a gingerbread man and a sunshine smile cookie...we were both very happy w our choices. It is kind of hidden, being located in an old town hall type building and you could miss it if you're not looking for it...but it is a nice bakery if you find it. You can sit outside for a snack or a coffe, there are a few chairs and a couple tables to sit at...or go for a walk around Dundas. CASH ONLY, THEY DO NOT USE DEBIT OR ANY UPDATED WAYS OF MAKING PAYMENT...ONLY CASH!!!!
