Amazing little bakery. The hot counter features different pasta and hot lunch options daily. The sausage on the bun is great, the pasta with meatballs is a classic too, and the baked goods...fresh and delicious. They also have ready made pizza dough for purchase to make your pizza at home.

I was looking for something to eat, and read about this Bakery and Deli online and stopped by to get some food. Unfortunately, it was late afternoon when I arrived, and their hot meal was prepared to served the lunch crowd. There were some soup and pizza left. I got some soup, a drink, and some pepperoni sticks (?). The ladies there were so nice and friendly. I could have sat down to eat, but my pups were in the car, so I ate some soup on the car since I was starving. The vegetable soup I got was delicious. I wish I arrived sooner to get to enjoy a hot meal. I would shop here again. This store has baked goods, drinks, deli meat, and some other items.

original review date: may 8, 2021 2nd review date and photo add-on's: november 23, 2021 customer since: september 1988 my first time trying the roma pizza squares was as a minor niner at cathedral boys high school, as there was a local variety store that sold them for 55 cents a square. after trying once, it became addictive lol. over the decades roma has maintained a consistent taste and quality with the signature item. while they do sell the bread-and-sauce slabs at fortinos and food basics, i prefer to drive to stoney creek to get my fix. today when i enjoy the squares, it's not just a pizza. it's basically 3+ decades of history... it's a flashback of lunches & dinners at home and work, food at parties, enjoying squares with friends. i enjoy visiting their flagship stoney creek bakery/retail store because they have all their products under one roof, and they have all their pizza options available. (plain, garlic and oil, pepperoni, pepperoni with mushrooms) there’s much more to roma than just their pizza slabs though…the store has a hot food service during lunch time, and they have fantastic dessert items, along with other bread/bun products, plus a catering service. the décor, products and the smell of the food makes one feel like as if one is taking a trip to europe. shout out to sarah who is one of their friendly store workers, and to store owner phil difilippo and his son anthony for carrying the torch and keeping the tradition alive. wishing the store and the workers continued success.???? a big thank you to marissa and phil d. for taking care of my phone-in order today! greatly appreciated and the pizza was enjoyed with my friend. ???? 2nd review, november 23, 2021: roma continues to provide great customer service, along with fantastic pizza and italian-style food. bottom line: i will continue supporting roma bakery and would recommend the store to others.

I pretty much enjoy going to their Stoney Creek bakery; they have variety of products to choose from: , pizza slabs (Pepperoni, Garlic & Oil, etc.), variety of hot food for lunches, bread, lasagna, pizza dough, cheese, dessert, pie, donuts and cake. The first time I went there, I got Red Velvet and Carrot cake slices and I can say it was the best Red Velvet cake I've ever tasted. After that, any time I go there, I make sure I add a slice of Red Velvet Cake to my order. There is always a lineup outside the store at lunchtime and I believe it is worth every minute waiting in that lineup, because you will be welcomed with friendly staff and the most amazing smell of food. I would definitely go visit over and over again.

This is an excellent little place. They have a great hot table with just enough variety to keep you coming back every day. Their pre made pizzas look amazing and are priced right. They're bakery has everything from bread to desserts that you might want or need. You really don't have to think twice about going here, you just need to go and enjoy whatever you buy.

I bought a supposelly family size lasagna, this tray was small! 9X10 in and 2.5 inch thich slab, and paid $27!! incredible, and it wasnt even that good, definately overpriced, a scam! not happy at all, how can you not tell as a retailer you are failing on a product.

Absolutely love this pizza to the point where when I lived in Australia and Hong Kong I would have my pilot friends bring me a slab. O cut the slab into squares and froze them so they lasted. Frozen was better than none at all!!

A staple in the community, Roma Bakery has what you need. Best porchetta in town hands down. Nice selection of pastries and cookies. Nice hot table during the week. And of course they're famous Roma Bakery pizza unlike anyone else's. By the way that pizza is completely vegan and dairy-free.

They used to have good stuff. But, now they are going cheapo. Used to have amazing pumpkin pies, now the crust is thicker than the filling. Very disappointed. Pizzas are still good.

Cycles here with friends and forgot a mask. They were so kind to do curb side delivery. We had the spicy 1/4 slab heated up and a cannoli and 3 coffee. Super kind service and great value. $10 bucks.

Roma pizza is the best pizza! Yes it's only dough and sauce but it's the best dough and sauce you will ever have! They do have a few other options for toppings but this is what Roma is known for. You can find their pizzas in the grocery store but you might as well take a trip down to the bakery where you will find such delicious treats. I love buying the cannoli there, it's so yummy. I give this place 5 stars!

Great spot that has been there forever and a day. Their Bread Pizza is an absolute Hamilton landmark. The hot counter in the daytime pumps out some great dishes. The Porchetta is a must try. Their traditional pizza is very good as well. They also have wonderful baked bread, buns and pastries with a full service deli as well. You can also purchase their pizza sauce to put on your own homemade pizza. Check out Roma Bakery and I promise that you will not be disappointed!

First time trying this place. Awesome authentic Italian food. Very generous portions for lunch options. Hot menu as well as cold. I had the Porchetta sandwich...delicious and massive about sums it up! Great selection of desserts too. Bakery goods of course are available such as a variety of breads/buns. Definitely if you are in the are and want lunch or treats...you will not be disappointed. Will 100% be back!

A family favorite for many years. The pizza is a staple from my growing up in the city. From birthdays to family picnics, this was always served. If you like your Roma pizza cold (like we all do) try it thrown on the bbq to crisp the crust, you wont be disappointed.

Really impressed with Roma Bakery! I called in very last minute to order some food for a friend who had suffered a tragedy. They responded quickly and had my food prepared (fresh) and ready to go within hours. They also threw in a free pizza when we arrived for pickup which was an amazing surprise. Thank you thank you thank you! You have made someone's very difficult day better by showing such kindness. We have been coming here for years but this just really impressed me!

Literally the best! This was my second time ordering catering and I was once again not disappointed. Everything was absolutely delicious. The portions were very generous. I ordered a baby shark theme cake. It’s taste was really good but the presentation was so bad. The shark made over the cake looked so ugly. They had a good costumer service, i was very positive about them but all my expectations vanished as i saw the cake. I was disappointed because they showed me really good pictures.

I grew up in the Hamilton area, east end as they called it way back when there was Woodstock and poprocks!. Roma Bakery has in my opinion the most authentic Italian pizza. the crust is so nice and airy and soft inside with a really thin outer crispiness. The sauce is omg to die for...I like it just plain with sauce but you can always dress it up if you desire. The cannoli's are so supreme it makes you wanna slap yo mama! Cheeses and meats and already prepared food to take home I tell ya I'm drooooooling thinking about it! I'm picking up (hopefully) enough Italian bread, rolls and whatnots for Christmas Eve full out Italian dinner because the bread is the best!

Their 100% authentic Italian made Roma pizza is absolutely the best! I've eaten this pizza since childhood and there's nothing like it anywhere. The flavours dance on your palette making your mouth always craving more. Their deli meat selection, pastries and breads are scrumptious as well. I want to start this by saying, I love this bakery and I'm a regular customer....that said Get it together please and follow Covid protocols. Numbers are way up, and yet I was there today and watched as numerous rules were broken and not addressed. The store has a sign posted saying 6 customers only. I was careful to count before I entered. After I came in, several people entered and as a result there were more than 6 ppl in the store. One of those customers refused to wear a mask citing she was exempt. In fairness, she was challenged by staff who said she could wait outside for her order. The woman ignored them and went about her business, no mask. I even called her out. She didn't even look at me. The cashier cashed her out anyway and continued to serve her. I'm sorry, but that's unacceptable. If you are going to put other customers at risk in your store I can't return until things are under control and that's just super disappointing. I realize the public can be difficult and I feel intimidated by ppl who refuse to follow the rules as well but she should have been refused service. I would have backed up your staff as a customer had they done that

Home of the original cult classic Roma Pizza. Always delicious never a let down. Also very good is their meat pies and various pastries. This is a mom and pop shop that is famous in the community for their roma pizza which basically an addiction. The sauce the herbs oh my. And so well priced!

Best place to buy fresh chemical free bread - the way you can figure out a bread’s quality is - when it gets bad , retail big box store bread stays on shelf for 3 - 4 weeks with no mould , Roma’s bread will get bad in 4 days if not kept in fridge.

We biked to Stoney Creek this past summer specifically to try this place. WOW the pizza is amazing!! The bread is perfect with the tomato sauce, you really don't need anything else. Canolis are also delicious. Highly recommend!

This place has a unique product that had stood the test of time yet from a business stand point they are failing. Store has had zero improvements since the 80's. The lay out inside is not customer/employee friendly at all when busy. Product selection is poor... White pizza sells out daily before noon, why not adjust and make more? Today I looked on the website and called, both said they were open (answering machine said we are open but busy), only to drive 25 minutes in the snow to find out is closed. These are basic things that at this point should not be happening. So much potential but I guess they're content with where they are.

February 1st 2019 my first child was born, I thought that would be the most life changing event of my life... until I ate lunch at Roma's last Friday. Good lord what a meal! I ordered the chicken parm sandwich, Porchetta sandwich and an order of the pasta. Covered everything in peppers and onions. Threw a towel on the hood of my car and went to town. Can't wait for my next visit to Roma.

This bakery has an amazing selection of baked goodies despite it's small size! I'm a big fan of their Roma Pizza, light and fluffy crust, tasty sauce. Lots of selection on buns, breads, desserts and they even have a deli counter. Their prices are very reasonable and staff are kind and helpful. Great place!

Usually a great place for a quick Italian lunch, but I always get the assorted sandwich. The ladies make the best sandwiches, try and avoid the one guy’s sandwich making skills. Anyways, only complaint is that their price is almost double Bonanza’s but you basically get the same quality product only different packaging (wax paper vs plastic bag).

First time going here today. As soon as you walk in you are hit by the MOST amazing smell! I was going there for sourdough bread but I couldn't help but get some other baked good. I will definitely be going back but next time for the hot food counter they have too. Great for grabbing lunch or dinner on the go. The ladies that work there are so friendly and happy. It was a really great experience can't wait to go back!
