Food is very delicious, worth the long line up. If you pre order you can skip the line, either way everyone in the family would enjoy. Desserts are all tastful and kids devour them without complaints, so huge bonus in that are. ????????
The bakery is constantly packed with people. It's so popular. People love everything about this bakery, the sweets are amazing and the variety is so much. People love the food there as well, the pizza slices, the sandwiches, the pasta, everything is desired. My family and I especially went for the giant pizza slice. They had to specially make that as the pepperoni one was readily available. It took about 45 minutes and $25. It was a nice pizza, not bad. We also got macarons. They are really sweet and good.
White pizza with pesto, potatoes, onions. Crust was fantastic, potatoes were tasty, and those soft sweet onions put it over the top! Clearly from the picture, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The place was packed and not really for good reasons. It was packed due to lack of service. There were only 2 servers working the iceCream section. We got a mango gelato which was only subpar. The cannoli was very stale and the dough was not tasty at all. When we tried to sit down, we couldn't find a single clean table. Not visiting again due to lack of service and meh gelato.
Things are definitely a bit over hyped. You see picture perfect goods when you walk in and feel like a kid in a candy store. After you take a first bite in everything, it's a sugary dose of disappointment. We lined up roughly around 30-40 mins on Saturday. Staff was polite and pleasant (source of the stars). Prices and labels were small and not legible, we came from another part of town and already lined up for a while so we just ordered what we felt like not caring about the prices. Total for 7 pastries and 2 small gelato only came to around $30, so very competitive. Everything did not take as good as it looks, anything fruity isn't flavored with any real fruits but rather artificial flavouring... The cough syrup kind. Most things were overly sweet and doesn't give you a memorable flavor profile.
Always a great experience! I love the wonderful options for desserts and hot items. The staff are always very helpful and welcoming. I recently got my daughter's birthday cake from lamanna's and it was absolutely amazing you could taste how fresh it was and the price was equally amazing and affordable. The only reason why I did not give a perfect score I wish they took tap! PS. This cake was only $40 and it was made of fresh that morning.
Got a slice of pizza. It was gross. Got a serving of Lasagna, it was disgusting. How is this real Italian food? There is a woman working behind the counter who is just miserable. I will never be returning.
Great food. The arancini, lasagna, and cannolis stand out to me.
Great food and great prices. It's a super popular restaurant so I wish they had a bit more seating! Also the organization of where the food and menus are placed in relation to the till where you order makes no sense. I also wish they had high chairs and a change table in the accessible washroom. This is a super cute restaurant with a great selection of food! I will definitely be back when my kids are a bit older. I find going at lunch on a weekend with my 8 month old and rambunctious 3 year old too chaotic in that busy restaurant.
Lamanna’s bakery has everything from hot food to desserts. I’ve been here a couple of times and there was always a line up. Their baked goods and desserts are fresh and fairly priced. …
First time here, definitely coming back again. The pizza was tasty! I loved it! I made a mistake with my order and Joe without a doubt he fixed the order for me and made me a happy camper! Amazing customer service, glad I didn't have to go home sad that I made a mistake ????. Joe if your reading this, thank you so much again!!!! We'll be back!
My sons girlfriend made the trip from Mississauga to buy pastries for saint “J” day , being my passed father in laws saint day. They were less than acceptable the Zeppole were horrible, nothing like the picture on their site. Not your “traditional taste”bakery, more of a new taste pastry ideas using the traditional names. Won’t make the drive again.....disappointed
The food and bakery products are first-rate, traditional new world Italian fare. The lasagne, arancini, pizzas and cookies are top notch. The only downside: the line-ups can be long, and the line up order is a bit chaotic. However, if you have the time to stand in line, then you will find that the wait is worth it.
We are in love with the meat lasagna here. We usually get more to store them for the day after. Everyone is kind and friendly and that (on top of their great products) makes you go back :)
The desserts are nice and the service is great. The only drawback is the giant pizza choices are limited.
Decent selection of Italian bakes good and hot foods. The coffee is excellent. The BIG pizza slice is a fun novelty but definitely isn't going to be the best pie you've had in the city. Customer service is only ok; I feel like if I don't bully myself around I won't get served.
Delicious authentic Italian fare. A must find in Scarborough!
Came here for my birthday cake / order! I got the big slice pizza, a big slice birthday cake, 2 types of gelato, and a few pastries! 1) you need to order 24 hours in advance so just be prepared for that lol 2) the pizza was very dough heavy and tough, the pepperoni was also quite salty 3) the cake slice was SO SWEET! we barely ate it. its like the grocery store aisle frosting that's pure icing sugar to stick on the cake so it was barely edible. the dough itself was basically pizza dough so it was super tough to chew and didnt go together with the cake. however the cake batter itself was quite good and moist (aside from the frosting again which was way too sweet) Overall would totally recommend for a cute picture but the quality of the dough and food was not anything spectacular!
Nothing but good things to say about Lamana’s. Pizza is to die for, all the baked goods are delicious. They are always on the cutting edge of over the top awesome food. It’s defiantly my go to bakery if I need to get a cake or some kind of treat.
The lasagna omg the lasagna and the fresh baked bread and cookies... my palette is overwhelmed and happy. They must be good if I traveled 2hrs in a snow storm just for their food ????
Beautifully modern and thankful for an Italian eatery in Port Union Scarborough The Sicilian cannoli aren’t as great as Francesca ... but 5 stars to their lobster tail sfoglia desserts and vast array of delights of cakes … the cannoli shells aren’t dark cacao as original to Sicily ... but the gelato bar is phenomenal and the best in the city and GTA... hot table is 5 stars and love their lobster tail Ricotta pastry
Just the best pizza I have tried in the city so far. Great experience and quality product definitely make it worth.
I got the party size frozen lasagna and it was so delicious.
Pastaaaaaa and their giant pizza!!!! Sooo goood... def gonna buy 3 big pizzas next time.... rice ball is pretty damn big.. so i loved it even more
Good desserts and gelato, I liked the gelato more than the desserts tbh. Lots of options but some desserts are only available on specific days, so you might not find what you're looking for. There are long lines on weekends, so be prepared to wait awhile.
This is a great place for pizza. My family and I really enjoyed the "big slice". There were a lot of toppings and was very tasty! I highly recommend this place!
Definitely my most favorite bakery to date. Everytime I'm in the area, I get the Capo pizza slice with a Green Pistachio Donut and a Churro
Third time visiting this bakery and I an so impressed. My first time was pre pandemic when they still offered dine in. The servings and portions are large. We usually get pizza ???? lasagna ???? Gelato????. The lasagna as meat or vegetarian are a …
Absolutely FANTASTIC! The quality of ingredients, taste, customer service, ordering process all of it was fantastic. The best pizza I’ve had in a long time it’s not just a big novelty slice the taste is there!
Good place for dessert lovers. Italian flavor pizza!! Most of the time busy!
Pros: • An enormous selection of desserts, pizzas, and hot foods to select from. • Huge and delicious slices of pizza. Cons: • Not the friendliest of services. • Super busy during weekends and lunch times.
Meat & veggie lasagna are always the best. The bread that comes w/ it is amazing too--soft & not too garlicky. I love the portions for the affordable $9 price--so delicious for such an amazing price. I drive from Mississauga every week just to come all the way here for their lasagna. Their gelato is good too. I hope their business continues successfully for a long time. It's so hard to find amazing AND affordable lasagna restaurants these days, but this is my all-time fav lasagna spot now.
Amazing!! Must get their huge pizza!! Won't go wrong!! Drove 40 minutes and it was worth it!!
Really good pizza with really good sauce, the Christmas tree pizza is just a large slice, nothing special but overall it was good. Would go back again
Too busy and the price are too high for the taste and quality. The service is always good but not worth the wait and cost.
This place is a little peace of the Italy in Scarborough. I tried a couple cake and one is better than the other. Be prepare to spend money because is impossible buy just one dessert! :) I live far from but the drive is definitely worth I’m giving 5 stars because I can’t give 10! Mandatory to stop by if you’re leaving in Scarborough.
I've heard of the hype around this place from friends but didn't believe it until I got there. All the pastries and donuts I tried tasted fresh, refreshing and despite their nature were not heavy at all. I don't live close by but it's definitely worth the drive, and the wait in line when busy.
First visit we grabbed some coffee and dessert. Was very busy early Saturday evening, but was worth the wait. We will be back!
Great food that's not too expensive. Definitely recommend the cakes and their pizza.
Best Italian food at one place. From pizza to bakery items at its best.
Everything dessert looks amazing... but it looks better than it tasted. Disappointed I came all the way there but ppl are super nice and helpful. Not my favourite for Italian food and pastries
Super long line up!! But well worth the wait. We got lattes, cake and gelato. The food tasted great and the lattes were amazing
So good ! Make sure you're there early on Saturday. I got there 20 minutes before opening and there was already a line up. I've had their pizza, pizza cake , churros, cheesecake & much more lol definitely try it out
I finally made it to experience this Italian bakery I've heard about. The selection and service was great. Thank
Good local bakery for the east end. Very good espresso zeppole season so I had a one Italian custard was ok. They are famous for there sfogliatelle ( lobster tails)
I LOVE their gelato, their big slice of pizza, and pistachio eclairs! OMG I literally cannot get enough of this place! It's too good to pass up! The staff is great and friendly. If you get the chance to eat in, make sure you indulge every bite! You won't regret it!
I will NEVER ever again support this business. I went there on April 09, 2021 with my wife and was refused entry by some kid. He told me that I cannot enter the premises with my face shield. He said no entry unless I wear a cloth mask, even though their sign clearly says a face covering must be worn. It does NOT specify cloth masks. I will spread this same message on EVERY social media platform possible. I hope they lose business. I don't even know why I went there in the past. They are so unfriendly.
I went there to buy a cake for a friend. I went inside and then i came to know that they also have pizza slices and some Italian food. This is basically a Italian bakery. …
Amazing Italian bakery and cafe. Big slice pizza and hot Italian sandwiches. Delicious desserts and gelato. Never a disappointment coming here and the lines are always worth it
I love this place. Its my go-to Italian bakery in Pickering. Their pizzas are delicious and their pastries and gelato are made in-house. Obviously they have a lot more to choose from such as espresso and pasta and fresh baked bread. They also have Italian condiments they sell as well
Great pastries and cakes. Great pizza and Italian food.
Lamannas bakery is truly the best italian bakery in scarborough/pickering , their chocolate chip cookies are huge and so yummy! The slices of pizza are my fav. they're huge! And only $4 and so many slice options. You have to go here if you're in the area! You won't regret it! There is always a line so be sure the get there early , the line does move pretty fast though. It's worth it!
I have no idea why this establishment doesn't expand their location... Hours or both! They have the best arancini but quite often they don't have their Lobster Tail in stock which is the biggest disappointment.
So delicious. About 9 out of 10 times whatever you get is awesome. Try the pistachio treats. I need to go back for the pizza.
Had pizza Margherita and tiramisu. Pizza was by original recipe (mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, basil, and an amazing dough!). Tiramisu was fresh, but I was hoping to get a similar taste as the one I had in Italy- soaked with coffee and Vin Santo that gives it extra flavour. Prices were fair.
Food is consistently delicious and on point. Their various pizza options keeps you coming back for more. Highly recommended to order in advance to avoid long lineups.
Had the massive slice. Pizza was ok. If you get this make sure you get lots of napkins and make sure you’re hungry!!! It’s huge! Also if you’re going for the huge slice make sure you order it in advance!
for months I wanted to come here and today was the day! I ordered this pizza online and I wasn't sure how big this pizza can be! Oh my dear lordddd. hahaaa first of all, it was one of the best pizza I had in my life. everything was just remind me of my fav pizza place in Italy. so so sooooo good. but I can say, with one order you can technically feed 5 people maybe even 6. so biggggg and sooo good. will definitely order again.
Love this place. Super busy at lunch - parking and seating is limited during this rush. Great pizzas for $4/slice and hot table. Their baked goods section is amazing and has the best affogato I've tried, hands down.
Lady at the lasagna counter was super rude. Food doesn't have any labelling. They are selling 9 different types of pizzas but no labelling or description. Ordering food here is confusing, they have multiple counters and the people working there seemed impatient if you asked any questions. If you don't want customers to ask you questions start labelling your food. Taste of food is good and I would like to give them 5 stars but running a business is not all about your end product but also customer experience.
I was especially impressed by the customer service, the staff was gracious enough to offer us selections, although we hadn't pre ordered. Got some tiramisu from the bakery, the portion size and cost per piece are on point but falls a bit short on the flavour. Overall great experience.
Good pizza and a pastry called lobster tail is like a croissant stuffed, not filled with a mixture of a custard and whip cream that is not too sweet, will easily become a top 10!
The food is actually good and is a good price. However, they don't let you use their washroom. This is fine if you live 2 minutes away and you have a car, but if you came all the way from another city to try this bakery by public transit, then you're completely screwed. Guess I won't be going back.
Amazing neighbourhood gem. Much better design and seating since the redesign. Crazy to believe this level of family Italian food/coffee this far from little Italy. Great value for food. Desserts are amazing. Can't say enough good things. Wished it were open a bit later but it's mostly family run. Only bad thing is the lineup/queue system is not obvious and confusing for newcomers.
Well, it's gorgeous! Ordered the Big Sluce Birthday Cake in Nutella. Covered in bombolinos and cannolis, my daughter was thrilled with this unusual birthday dessert!
One of those hidden city gems that is must go to for quality Italian food. My girlfriend took me here for my birthday to enjoy the largest slice of pizza and man was this good! I live on the west end of Toronto but the drive here is well worth it. I am looking forward to my next visit. The pizza, gelato, and cafe were delicious!
Such a wide variety of desserts from cakes of all flavours to big cookies to pastries! Decent price as well. The lobster tail is one of my favs! The hazelnut cakelet tastes like Ferrero Rocher in cake form <3 Got the veal sandwich as well, which was satisfactory; the veal was kind of soggy and didn't have too much flavour. The desserts are definitely worth it though.
Amazing hot food and desserts. This place is always busy. Their pizza is great and they are known for their big slice pizza which can be seen all over social media. I’ve also tried their lasagna which was also great. If you are in the area with the urge to eat Italian food and desserts, come to Lamanna’s Bakery!!
This place is definitely worth the hype. We got the pistachio and Nutella bombes which are large filled dounuts. When I say large I mean large - they are almost too big to eat yourself. We also tried the stuffed churros and they were really tasty with lots of caramel filling. Due to current restrictions they only serve pre-ordered items for pickup but their system was efficient and fast.
Always great food......went early and it was still a steady stream of people! Pizza & arancini picked up today.
I ordered the Hawaiian "Big Slice", the strawberry shortcake donut, the "Simpson's" donut and the macaron mixer pack. Everything was delicious and as advertised. The big slice is a little tricky to eat but it was very tasty. Will definitely be back to try some of their other items.
Visited on March 6 2021. I waited in a long line outside. However they were well staffed and organized inside, the line moved quickly. I got a cake and pastries. Everything was fresh and delicious. The aroma from the pizza was tempting. I will be back to try it.
Excellent food. Pizza is great specially the dough. Excellent customer service and pastry is amazing. Best tail lobster pastry I’ve ever had. Cakes and gelato are great too. Slices of pizza are big and good quality for the price. Excellent …
I heard this place was great. I went in on Feb 18 and had my mask a bit under my nose as my mask was to big for me. The girl at the order counter said can u move your mask up over your nose. I explained and she would not serve me unless. I look over to the COOKS MAKING THE PIZZA and both guys have their masks all the way down below their noses breathing right into all the pizza. I said how can u grind a customer for this when your employees who’s only barrier is their mask breath down into the pizza they were making. Her reply to me was “ because they work here” I will never step foot in that joint again. Pathetic
The desserts were great! The big slice was okay better than most pizza chains but more of a gimmick than anything special. Price was pretty standard for a pizza that big.
I tried a few pastries (see the pictures) and all of them were so special. The store were so packed with a huge line-up. The good point was that deli department line-up was separate. Staff were super nice and BEAUTIFUL. :)
First time i visited yesterday wow amazing their pizza and sweets die for absolute repeat highly recommend it my puppy troy approved pizza too he luvs it pepperoni pizza yum
Came here mid morning on a Saturday to pick up some desserts. Line up for the bakery side was at the door!! The hot food side was not much better. This place is always busy. Lots of people with custom cake orders as well. Ordered an variety of desserts and everything was amazing. Favourites were the Nutella stuffed mini donuts and "lobster tail", which is a cream stuffed croissant. Best part is they don't skimp out on the filling. Front to back and top to bottom is with filling!!!! Would definitely come back and would recommend this to anyone.
Pizza was very good and a hit with family. The Nutella bombes were delicious as well!
I absolutely love the pizza- BUT, I really do think these guys have very Poor Management skills. Forget calling for a pizza. Even the busiest of places answer their phones to place an order. I think knowing how well a business is going gives means to open another location? It’s just ridiculous to get a simple pastry or a slice. It really is, and very unfortunate because people rave about it but the cost to get anything from there is just not worth it after all. Sorry.
The best bakery in all of scarbrough! They have amazing foods and the desserts are the best I've ever had. This is a must go to if you live in scarbrough or are visiting
What can I say.... incredible food and desserts - we love their pizzas and lobster tails especially. We have been long term customers and will drive out of our way to go there. Be prepared to wait in line as they do get busy, but definitely worth the wait.
Wow! So much to choose from- the desserts were amazing and the pizza is really great thin wood fire style. Lots of friendly staff to help you quickly. Especially with covid there can be a pretty long line up that stretches on to the side walk outside. Come early. And, if you want the big slice, ORDER THE DAY BEFORE!
Lamanna’s is best in town! Also the only in town.. strange coincidence. I’ve never dealt with unprofessional management as I did at Lamanna’s. The …
OMG....i cant say enough about this place..always busy..always good fresh foods..and omg their lobster tail pastry...to die for! Run and get them and if you dont see them ask..there could be a fresh batch in the back.
Delicious desserts/pastries and beautiful presentation. Line up on weekday was a few minutes and staff were friendly. COVID-19 procedures in place. Gave it a 4 because it's way overpriced. Pizza slice is amazing!
Awesome! Love this place! Best pizza in Toronto / GTA feels like home made, with quality ingredients.
Lamanna's has some of the most delicious food I've ever had. Their pizza is an absolute must if you are a pizza lover. There dessert are also fresh and delicious. Save time and place your order online with your pick up time and date. To make sure you get the date and time you want I suggest you place your order two days prior.
This place is super busy. I ordered a giant slice of pizza and it took over an hour to make. You can't call in ahead of time which forces you to wait there. The pizza flavours are unique and delicious.
Worth the lineup to get in...bakery, gelatos and pasta are so good that it is completely understandable.
I love Lamanna's so much. I always stop there if I am close by. The pizza and baked goods I've tried are awesome. The only suggestion I have is it would be nice if you could see what is available or have a menu with pricing so when you get up to order you can do it quickly and easily.
I freaking love this place! Where else can you get good food, good desserts, good coffee and good people? Here of course! There's a reason why people flock to this place, it's because the people here cook and bake with love so it shows. If you've never been here then I suggest making a pit stop. You'll thank me later :)
I am obsessed with the cookies!! They are huge!! Often times, there is a wait outside of the store and inside, but the line is worth it and the service is very quick!
From the pizzas to the other hot food, desserts and coffee, one of the best bakeries in Toronto.
-1 star cuz they NEVER pick up the phone!! If you wanna contact them message on Instagram. Otherwise place is pretty good. Love all their pastries. Good pizza. Low prices. Tho waait times can get reallyyy long cuz of covid.
There gelato is as actually pretty good! Never tried the big pizza Slice though but overall it's a good clean place
I really liked the pizza. Would go back just for that. The pastries were just okay. Nothing special. Looks better than it tastes. There was a long line and it was chaotic inside (probably bc covid) so I probably wouldn’t go through that again.
Amazing place to get great tasting cakes, ice cream and more. I always get cakes for birthdays from here. In addition, the people that work here are also great.
A great spot for lunch or pastries with the family when we're going to Canadian Tire.
The best everything. Pizza, lasagna, desserts... So authentic and made with love. They've grown from a small family business to a common household name. Defenatley worth the drive to Scarberia.
Seriously....this place is soooo good. I haven't tried anything here that hasn't been good. The staff are amazing and the quality and price is great
Please note that Sundays are only for pick up. Only the pick up door is opened on Sundays. They don't even take orders on Sundays. People were actually standing out from 11:00-11:20 am on a Sunday and some left. Finally an employee came out to announce Sundays are for pick up only ???? Ineffective and a notice on the main door or updating their website would have helped! Allocate about 1-2 hours for the entire experience (as of March 2021) on Saturdays as you need about 45 minutes to 1.5 hours to he in the line up. 33 people were already lined up last Saturday even before the store opened at 11:00 am. I was the 13th in line having arrived at 10.31 am ???? Seeing such enthusiasm might mean their products are super good. Only 10 customers are allowed in at one time with 4 staff in the pastry section and 6 staff in the delivery, pasta and pizza sections. Timing depends on how fast the 10 customers who go inside make up their mind on what to order. A couple who entered the shop at sharp 11 were still adding, discussing and deciding on their order when I the 13th customer left the store at 11.25 am ???? So it all depends on the awareness that approximately 50 other customers are standing outside with the line up almost reaching Rylander Blvd. It's important to know that the pick up door is a separate one and you can go in without lining up. That entrance has proper signage.
I love this place. This is my go to Bakery for cakes. Location: as it is a well know Bakery around the area, it can get busy and might be difficult to find a parking spot. 3⭐ Food: they not only sell cakes and pasty, they also sell pizza, pasta, gelato and so much more. I can't stress enough how I love everything here, so I'll just say 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Prices: I Beleive that the food prices are just appropriate for what they are selling. Restaurant: it is very clean and even the washroom is properly maintained. 5⭐ Staff: it can get really busy, I understand that, but I know they can still do a better job about it. 4⭐ Other services: I ordered cake from them for my mom's birthday. They have a limited design but for the price and the taste of the cake, I can't really complain and got so many compliments from our guest. I also ordered lasagna a couple of times and it was really good. 5⭐ Final note: I really love this place, I will be coming back. Things like pistachio donuts is something that can do me no wrong lol.
You can't ever go wrong with this gem. They have lots of good things here. Meals that will satisfy you and your family. Also desserts of all kinds. Coffee is amazing specially when you add a scoop of Gelato. Keep up the good food and coffee service. We will be back for more.
OMG. The pick up is a pain! We ordered a few days ahead for the big slices and few other things. When I arrived at the restaurant, there was a line up outside. I waited for about 15 mins then one of the staff came out and yelled pick up is thru a different door. When I finally got inside, no one came over for about another 10 mins.(the girl at the door controlling the traffic was really rude to me, I called her several times, she was just trying to ignore me, then she realized she can't ignore me any longer she just said, someone will come to you. ) Finally one lady came by and asked me for my order number, came back with one big slice, I told her there are more stuff to my order, so she went back and grab another big slice, I told her again I still have more stuff on my order, then she grabbed one more item, and I told her AGAIN I have one more item. Finally I got all my order. So three tips: 1) if you ordered online, find the pick up door. 2) they don't answer their call, so don't bother phone them. 3) double check your order! P.s. the pizza taste good. But just good enough. Nothing to be amazed about. Probably not going to go back for the trouble.
The price is very cheap but the quality of the food certainly isn't. You can either go with hot food like lasagna or pizza, or pick up best-in-province pastries or gelato. You can go wrong trying either as the thousands of 5 star reviews speak for themselves.
There service was quick even though I went close to closing time. Staff was very friendly. They are slowly changing the aesthetic of the place, and making it more "Instagram appealing", look forward to see how it turns out! They also sell little Nutella bottles, great for a souvenir!
I've gone to Lamanna's Bakery for over a year or so. For most of my occasions, I go here to grab a cake or two and the recipients always love the cakes from here. You definitely get a good value for the cakes and they have a ton of variety, from chocolate to vanilla to all different types of flavours. Regardless of whichever you do go with, I'm sure you'd love the taste. They also do have other pastries as well as ice cream. The ice cream can be a bit pricey but I find that the quality of the ice cream makes it worth it! When going to Lamanna's on a weekend though, make sure that you prepare enough time for lining up! It's usually very packed on the weekends, but the staff does a great job to accommodate everyone, especially if there is a huge line up! It can be a bit tight when it comes to parking and you may even need to wait for someone to pull out since the plaza is kinda small. The only recommendation I would have would be to create a better line system or free up some space in anticipation of the rush hour(s), but I do understand that the space does have a limit. Overall, great bakery and I will definitely come back!
Not happy with the catering service. not accommodating and do not respond to emails. I tried to order a small lasagna 3 days in advance of when needed. They finally called me the day I needed it and was not able to fulfill my order on time. No one picks up the phone when you call an voicemail is always full. not impressed at all
I went here on a Saturday at noon and there was already a line up! It took about 15 mins before I got inside and waited for another 10 mins to order my food. All in all, it was worth it! The pizza ???? is thin crust which I love and I found …
Picked up the huge slice of pizza and a giant Nutella birthday slice. Pizza was amazing, cant wait to get it again ! Birthday slice was also top notch , highly recommend it to everyone!!!
Fresh, delicious food! Service is also great.
Delicious pizza, fresh ingredients, thin and crunchy pizza crust. Tasted various desserts: lobster tails have a crispy exterior shell, with a delicate vanilla cream. The hazelnut eclair is super delicious. The cannoli - loved better the original recipe than the chocolate one, but they were both tasty.
8:39 PM I am so glad that I stumbled into this place. I am hoping to find more places like this. The authenticity spills out of this place. Right when I went in I knew that I was going into something good. It was very busy and there were many people in the three different stations in the Bakery. One station is for pizza types of food; another for pasta, chicken Parmesan and such; and the last station for desserts. I only went for the dessert for this visit because I was craving for their gelato and nothing else. Best decision I have ever made. Gelato: They have many different flavours for their gelato and each flavour is unique in their own ways. I had the pink grapefruit and lemon gelato (Medium for 5.60$ tax included), and it was wonderful. My friend had a scoop of coffee and a scoop of chocolate gelato, and the coffee was very rich. It was not like your typical coffee tasting ice cream or candy, it wasn't that sweet, but it was heavy with coffee; if you like your coffee black, you will love this flavour. Price: The price was fairly reasonable with the amount of scoops that we got. They give you about 1 and a half scoops for each flavour that you pick (I can only speak for medium though). Again, medium was $5.60. Lobster Tail: Love it. Light and crispy, the cream is very nice. Very addicting (as is everything else that is there). Pizza: Very big ($4.50) for one slice (technically two small slices). There are many different types of pizzas and each are the same price. You can have the choice of having two different types for each slice. The pizza is fairly thin other than the crust. The cheese is what replaces the taste and texture of the dough. Churro: Small and filled with caramel. Very addicting. Soft and light dough that is not dry, and very healthily filled with caramel. Tiramisu: I decided to go again on another day and tried the tiramisu. I enjoyed it, but it felt like I was tasting a cake instead of a tiramisu. Now a days it's hard to find tiramisu's with rum in it (like how it should be), so it's understandable that this didn't have it. But I was expecting for something else to replace that rum taste, maybe a shot of espresso (like how it should be); sadly, there wasn't any. The cream was rich and very smooth, not as light as your typical tiramisu. So, even though I did enjoy having it, it wasn't really a tiramisu, in my honest opinion. Cinnamon Roll: It was soft and the dough was really nice. I enjoyed eating it but it wasn't very cinnamon-y. It was good, but not the best, but I would get it again because it has that addicting texture and taste to it. Eclair: I'm not too big of a fan of Eclairs so eating it here didn't make me fall in love with it. It wasn't super dry, but it wasn't fresh, so texture wise, it wasn't light or soft. I wouldn't go here for the eclair, it tastes like any other eclair. Service: The customer service was a bit lacking. Don't get me wrong, they notice that you're there despite the busyness of the bakery, but it's as if you're a problem to them. But hey, their food is good. I would still keep coming despite their customer service. (Although it depends on which person serves you) Conclusion: I enjoy coming to this place. Even if it's not THE best place that I've ever been to in regards to food, I love the atmosphere and the vast amount of choices that they offer for you. I really do hope to find more bakeries, stores, restaurants, etc. that are like Lamanna's.
I was super excited to visit Lamanna bakery because all their food pictures on Instagram looks amazing. However the day I went there they didn't have any of the donuts or delicious special coffess available (like the Nutella or Creme Brulee). Also the place was super cold, it was impossible to be there without your coat on and even though some customers were complaining, the staff seem to don't care, plus the woman that tooked my order was very rude. I was super disappointed with my visit and because I was already there I ordered a pasta with chicken parmesana that was ok, but nothing special. At least the price of the food was attractive.
Best pizza, and huge selection! This place has people visit from all over the world.
One word. Excellence. These bakers truly know what they are doing. The cannoli was amazing, the filling inside was creamy and tasted like heaven. Seriously guys, good job. And it's not like these are expensive. I was totally floored that I only paid about 13 bucks!
Great for a grabbing ine big slice! Although, you have to pre order it online at least 48 hours ahead.
Dangerously close to my house. Sunday preorder pickup was run smoothly. Everything was baked fresh
Finally made my first trip to this little gem! Bought an assortment of baked treats and they certainly didn't disappoint! Can't wait to go back and try the things I didn't get my first trip AND the giant pizza slice. Also, bought the whole bean coffee (dark roast), really good coffee!
One of my favourite bakery and Italian take out hands down. Their pastries are very fresh and the eclaires (hazelnut filling) and cream filled pastries are one of my favourites, don't get me started on the other pastries, can't go wrong with any of them. My family and friends love them and they are prefect to take to small get togethers or just friendly visits. The veal on a bun is pretty solid. Get ready to use both hands and get them a covered in finger licking good, sauce and topping. Highly recommended the mushrooms and peppers toppings. If you are looking for a hearty sandwich, this is the one.
Pretty good pizza and service. For those special pizza like the pastry one or those big single slice you will need to pre order them before arriving to the bakery.
Great bakery with lots of variety. They have desserts, a hot food table, a pizza counter, and nice espresso bar. I've come here twice and haven't been disappointed with quality of their food or service. They've also got an efficient layout with multiple cash registers, which helps with controlling the flow of the crowd (this place has always been busy when I've been there).
Ordered the veggie lasagna, arancini, cannoli, tiramisu & the sfoglia all to go as due to the pandemic they don't have indoor dining now. Staff was friendly, they were organized and everyone was wearing a mask. Everything was super delicious, well priced and portions were big!
High quality desserts! Make sure you order wya ahead of time as they have specific time slots and limited quantities. I could only only order the Strawberry Shortcake Donuts on a Sunday. While they look amazing, they didn’t taste as good as expected. But definitely worth trying. My favorite was the Custard Tart. Cheesecake was heavenly too.
Very Friendly staff! Amazing food. Large selection of bakery goods. Possibly the best pizza in town. Oh, they also serve great coffee drinks.
One sunny afternoon my partner and I decided to set out on an adventure and so we made the 1.5 hour trek to Lamanna's; and all I'll say was GOODNESS was it worth it! Their pizza's are fresh and packed with flavour. I'm sure everything here tastes good, but our hearts were set on the pizza! We did leave some room for their amazing desserts though and tried the Cannoli and Stuffed Donuts. All in all an afternoon well spent.
THIS is the veal sandwich I've been looking for!! Best I've had in a Long time. Pizza is wicked good too.
Currently: Take out only, order in person OR via website. Online orders require 24 hrs for pu. 2 doors, 1 takeout 1 preorders. 2 lines - 1 desserts 1 main dishes. Still fast and efficient service! …
Popular and delicious Italian pastries. Expect line up during busy hours.
I got my boyfriend the big slice and Simpson's donuts for his birthday! He says it was one of the top 5 best pizzas he's ever had and the perfect donut! The pizza slice is huge. Chihuahua for scale.
Aaaaaaamazing!!! Deliciousness complete!!! Best Pizza in town! Huge portions! Authentic Italian Food!!! Huge variety of Sweets and Gelato!!!
Wish they open up normally like other businesses Their acting like we are in the beginning of the pandemic making us line up outside only to tell you to pre order what you want. Little ridiculous. People are coming to enjoy your food. Cook as you would and people will buy and it will sell out I think their just trying to control how much they can work Everyone using covid as a crutch now to blame it for everything. Get with the program
Awesome place to get from a good coffee & pastries to good slice of pizzas and lasagna to their famous GIANT PIZZA! Love this place! Just make sure you have 1 to 2hrs to spare at this place. The seats are hard to find and the GIANT PIZZA takes about 20 to 30min to make, plus everyone wants at least 1 GIANT PIZZA to go. As a NEW YORKER this is one of the biggest pizza I have ever had. Plus their combination pizza are awesome! They are one of a kinda! LOVE YOU GUYS! IMPECCABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE 110%
Top notch all the way. Amazing Lasagna
Incredible experience. Amazing food. Ordered the lasagna and some cannoli and tiramisu to go. Super awesome environment.
We've been frequenting this little bakery for about a decade now – Lamanna's is hands down my favourite place to go for Italian food. The thickly-stacked lasagna is heavenly and the highlight for me. Their chicken parmesana, arancini, paninis, cannoli, cakes, gelato, and chocolate chip cookies are all the single best I've ever experienced. Many people know this place for their ginormous pizza slices, but the staff are friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is as chic as Scarborough can be, the menu is ever-expanding, and you WILL be happy you listened to me and dropped everything to go there. The cherry on top? Everything is actually a good value. When does that ever happen?
The online order process was simple, they have a separate entrance for online order pickup so it was quick, easy and safe. Food was delicious, recommend trying the churro big slice cake if you've got a sweet tooth.
I love this place so much. The baked goods are awesome:)
Be prepared for a line up when visiting this gem of a place! We arrived at 11am and had a 20min wait. When we collected our food, the line wrapped around the store and was probably about 45min. But it's so worth it!!! The pizza is simple but delicious. I think the toppings could be more generous (I don't think have more than 12 PCs of mushrooms in mu mushroom pizza) but the sauce, crust and flavour was delicious. I would order it again. The chicken cutlets sandwich was good too but the peppers and onions are sliced really large. The donuts and coffee here are outstanding. Donuts have the lightest freshest texture....I definitely need more than 1. My favorite was the chocolate dipped because it's not overly sweet and the quality of the chocolate is really good. As is their coffee beverages. This place has such a cult following...but I can totally understand why. Can't wait to come back to try the gelato and more desserts.
This place has amazing pizza. Go for that and their bread. However, if you are going for pastries, find somewhere else. Had a mixed bag of what I was hoping to be delectable and was really not impressed. The macaroons really left a lot to be desired. Most were artificial in flavour or too sweet. They were cold and very hard on the inside. Supposed to be light and fluffy. I got 8 @ $2.50 each not impressed. Also want to point out that trying to order there is very disorganized. Still love the pizza though.
Ally (sorry if we misspelled your name) was absolutely wonderful. We weren’t aware of having to order in advance but Ally was extremely patient and kind enough to explain. Her service was impeccable and her pleasantness will surly be bringing us back. Stay safe and have a wonderful rest of your year!
Went to get their large slice of pizza and waited 30 minutes inline but wasn't aware that you need to order it online atleast 24 hours before, so we got 2 slices of their regular cheese pizza which was good.
Great place for all your needs. From baked goods to gelato to a hot table to even the GIANT pizza slice they cover all bases. This is a go to spot if you are ever east of the city around the Port Union area. Friendly staff and usually always busy. There’s never a time that I go and there isn’t a line already. Worth the wait !!
Now this is Italian. If you want authentic desserts and mains this is the place. Keep up the good work guys! Forza Italia ????????
Yes 1 star food is fine but the price no good. Also no prices except on the far back wall and when i asked for menu " no sorry all we have is catering menu" yea i just went food for me not my entire street. I asked for pizza price menu and guess what..."sorry we dint have one"...any place that does not have prices displayed on what ever they are selling its because its overpriced. Yea i will not be returning here not only because of the prices but also the bad costumer service.
One of the COOLEST bakery I’ve been to for their well known GIANT PIZZA slice! You can get whatever toppings you want and it takes 30 minutes for them to prepare it. Was definitely an amazing experience! They also sell Nutella in the cutest mini jars which are my absolute favourite ☺️
This place will not disappoint you! Always amazing food!
Pastries and pizza are delish! Long walk-in line up inside and outside.
Omg biggest slice of pizza I ever had.. shared with 5 people.. also had the cannelloni wow delicious I can hardly wait to try their sandwiches and pasta they are located in Scarborough
Easily the best Italian joint in Toronto. Spacious, and ALOT of selection. From the hot table to desserts to hot beverages. Inexpensive and delicious. I'm in the West end and I have no issue driving down. You can order a big 'slice' of pizza for about $20. The lasagna is one of my go to; big serving, saucey, meaty, and very tasty! Worth the drive to Scarborough, a definite place to check out!
Great food But by far the most disorienting place I've ever been in for food..
Line up to get in, clear social distancing guidelines in place, it was kind of confusing initially because there are 2 separate lines inside - one just for desserts and the other side for hot food. We ordered 2 slices of pizza and 2 doughnuts (pistachio and nutella). The pizzas were reasonably priced, large, and tasty. The pistachio doughnut was so yummy and light tasting. The nutella doughnut was a bit too much nutella filling.
Got the giant pizza slice. Dough and cheese were good quality. Heads up if you get black olives, they're a little on the salty side and are whole olives not sliced. Also the pizza is not pre sliced for you. Otherwise delicious and a good value for size.
Latte supreme, pizza supreme, busy place awesome food.
I love this Italian bakery so much. The giant pizza slices are a lot of fun. It'll feed 2-6 people depending on how hungry you are. Lots of delicious and fun desserts, gelato and pastries. They also have pasta and sandwiches!
Something out of this world. Such a unique bakery. We had their Gelato, pizza, dessert pizza, and some baked goods. Their lobster tails were the most amazing thing ever.
Love their food and desserts. Absolutely fantastic ! However, there are some serious customer service issues. I was trying to order a cake so I tried to order online (apparently you can’t order cakes online), then I messaged their Facebook page (someone replied that they would have someone call me so I can place my order …. No one called), then I called over 5 times at different times of the day over the span of two days and no one answered and their VM is full. I really did not want to drive 25 mins to Scarborough and wait in a 40 min line just to order a cake and have to come back 3 days later to pick it up. There really needs to be a proper cake ordering system. Very disappointed but again, when you do get their cakes, they are delicious. Just wish they cared more about customers.
We had an 3 different big slices and they were all amazing. The fun factor is huge and the pizza tastes great. We ordered online well in advance to save the line up.
Ordered the giant pizza slice and an iced latte. Both were amazing! Definitely would recommend this place, it's quite a wait though for the pizza, had to wait an hour.
I've been here 3 times and have never been able to get anything. You need to order pizza online 24 hours in advance, cakes 72 hours in advance. Sundays are online orders only with no drop ins. I'm sure its great but not easy to get in or get anything. Plan ahead, this place is not for spontaneous visits.
This is truly a phenomenal place for Italian dessert and pastries. I wouldn’t recommend going here to study but it is definitely a place where you should get your whole meal from appetizers main and dessert through different sections within the bakery it self. Well organized and very friendly staff that I believe is a family run bakery. The food quality is top notch and the prices are good too
their pizza is so good. and really big slices, too. we've tried a couple of their desserts, snd they are fantastic
Really good food. The portions for lasagna are enough for two people. I'm not an rigid vegan but I do wish they made a vegan lasagna. Beautiful atmosphere. Somewhere I would go again especially to try a dessert!
I really love Lamana’s, the atmosphere and the food quality is just outstanding. However, I wish they expanded their shop or possibly opened another location because some days it’s just too busy inside. Sometimes you can never get what you’re hoping for because it’s sold out or they need a weeks notice to order a large pizza slice.
Your Big Slice Pizza topped with chocolate glazed cream filled donuts was not only delicious...okay those donuts were truly the BEST...but the fun box and presentation was a huge hit for my Dad’s 80th birthday celebration! Easy online ordering and a dedicated pick-up door topped off a great experience. Thank you Lamanna’s...you made the birthday boy and me very happy!
Always a pleasure to have the time to make it out to scarbz to indulge in sweet and savoury food! Yum!
Hidden gem!!!You have to experience this place if you love pastries and authentic Italian food. It’s always crowded so be patient!!!
This was my first and experience at this restaurant and it was terrible. The biggest problem was how loud the music was. We all have masks on and there is a plexiglass between us and the servers. No one can hear anything, so I can't comment on the quality of the food because I was served a pizza with meat on it after I had told the server I don't eat meat. I settled on the slice of pizza because there was no menu for the hot plate where you place your order nor was there any directional signage. It was disorganized, loud and disappointing. I will not go back.
Absolutely the best pizza we have had. Ryan loved the Nutella pizza for his birthday. Thank you so much for the drawing on the box. Conolli on that pizza was so fresh. Amazing would recommend to anyone.
Had ordered a pepperoni big slice pizza as I had been dying to try it since seeing pictures on Instagram and hearing about how good this place is. The pizza was absolutely delicious!!! Had also gotten a few desserts at the same time and …
I got this as a birthday surprise! Everyone loved it including myself! We had so much fun taking pictures with it and it was delicious! I think the big slice pizza will become a tradition for us to order for birthdays! …
Called this bakery over four times with no answer. Each time voicemail message says it’s full. I’m not exactly sure why this place even has a business phone number if they aren’t going to answer. As a customer, I’d like to know if a specific cheesecake is available for purchase before making my way over. No one has time to travel out of their way only to find out if a specific type of cake is available in stock. I guess I’ll have to take my business elsewhere since this place can’t seem to get it right. Does the store management think that people will drop in to inquire? No reasonable person is going to travel down to inquire, there are other options available. It’s a shame that this place has staff working but can’t answer a simple phone call to answer a basic question. This bakery only exists because of its customers, and slowly people will just go elsewhere. I mean at least bobette and bell answer the phone inquiries. Metro and highland farms also sell decent cakes and usually in stock.
There is usually a line due to COVID limiting the number of people in the store which is good but takes a while. Once inside, there are 3 counters: pizza, hot table, and pastries/gelato/coffee. The pastries have no labels and no pricing. This is also the case for all their items in their store. I had to ask what each one was and the plexiglass barriers make it almost impossible to hear what the response is. They are between $2 and $4 each. The filled pastries are nicely filled and were good. The menu is on a screen at the back but the words are too small to read.
I ordered the giant pancake pizza slice. My 5 stars is specifically for that slice. It was amazing and it looked as good as they do in pictures. Lamannas has a variety of unique giant slices(tiramisu, french toast, nacho, chicken wing and now nutella flavours). The protocol for ordering is this... you need to give at least 24 hour notice (but maybe more to be on safe side). You have to pay in advance too. (Credit card if it's over the phone). The giant slice I ordered was just under $40 after tax. I had no problem reaching them by phone (930-10am in the morning), I was worried based on other people's reviews. When I went to pick up, the lady seemed to be confused about my order, almost like she didn't believe me, but she went to check in the back, and all was well. Other highlights include their pastries-we tried sfogliatelle and lobster tails, they were fresh and perfect. (But a bit of a lineup to get them) Gelato, both banana and nutella flavours were great and very flavorful. The sandwiches were just ok. A little plain for my tastes. But they do slice the meat fresh infront of you. So that's nice. LaManna's is a bit of a trek for me, so would only for special occasions. But am extremely happy with the slice!
Always went for a cake and was always satisfied. They have meals and ice cream as well. It is always busy in there. You need to wait about 15 minutes before you get to the front of the line, which is a good thing if you know what I mean. Over all I would highly recommend this place even though I only had the cakes but I did notice all the other lines as well every time I've been in.
Best slice of pizza ever eaten, Italian style, must try!
Great bakery! The service is fast and the food is excellent. Like the name says, it has tons of great Italian dishes and fresh made pizza. They also do have fresh espresso, and the old espresso makers that nonna used to have. I will be going back.
You want a Sweet and decadent Pizza Slice? This is the place for you. An absolute must see place for a person with a sweet tooth.. Also a crowd pleaser as well at parties.
Horrible experience ordered a cake and pizza for 130 tried to call for two days to change the time to no avail arrived at 1230 asked if it could be pushed up a bit young guy at pick up window extremely ignorant refused to even check on my order waited in car till 120 went back in again he was rude and said it’s not 130 I said I realize that but you could have at least checked on it an hour ago when I asked you, he said we have lots of orders so..... so what? I feel he could have at least inquired I was willing to wait a little course on customer service would help them at 128 he came out with cake shoved in my window I could barely grab it and walked away never ever will I return!
Lamanna's bakery absolutely deserves a full five stars. Their food is absolutely amazing, and they are by far one of my favorite spots in our area, if not the city. Their desserts and treats are absolutely to die for, and they are always adding a new variety. Their hot table items and pizza are also absolutely delicious. We love to buy full-size lasagnas for family functions, and everybody always raves about them. I 100% recommend this bakery! The only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 was that the traffic control can be a little insane. It speaks to their popularity, but especially during lunch time and weekends they are often so crowded that it is overwhelming. Lines can be incredibly long, so leave yourself a little bit of time, or bring a friend to chat with :). Also, just a heads up, in peak periods parking can be a disaster. The parking lot is often completely full, with many other cars circling in a tight space trying to find parking. I recommend in peak hours finding parking elsewhere, and walking a short ways to the bakery. It will be far less stressful.
Tried their big slice pizza which was fun and delicious. Their Homer Simpson doughnut was so good! Tried most of their desserts so far and they are all good. Now to try their gelato one day. Their online ordering and in store pickup seem to be working well; I haven't experienced any problems with it.
Great staff but its seems like the employees are unapproachable and expect you to know there pizza , a hot table and pastries but only two spots to pay and order, if you want anything from the hot table, that part is prepaid but you can order pizza or pastries right away, it just seems a little unorganized, great food with quality ingredients though
Big slice pizza is super tasty. The lobster tails are outstanding.
The birthday cake slice was perfectly proportioned and the pizza slices were delicious. Well worth the special trip to pickup these slices.
Classic bakery where I take all my guests. You must get their MASSIVE size pizzas at least once in your life. Gelato is really good and plentiful portion. Scones are top notch. Lasagna is really good here. Lamannas does not disappoint.
Food is served fresh Pricing is good Flavor is amazing Service is on point Arancini balls and veal is soo tasty Would definitely recommend
Where all your Italian food dreams come true. Pizza + Veal Sandwhiches + Gelato + Cappuccinos and more. Family owned and operated makes this place a little slice of Italy.
Lined up at 1 cause they closed at 3. By the time we got to the door they barely had anything left. The guy taking our order seemed a bit impatient and passively aggressively blamed us for not ordering online, and telling us that they only to pick up on weekends, which was not stated on their website or social media. I also looked on their website the week before, and there were no time slots to order the pizza, so I thought I'd go in to get a few pastries. There were two types of pastries, lasagna, and the cutlets left. I would say their food is mediocre (family said the lasagna was too doughy), but not worth waiting for, especially given their service. Would not come again.
This small place is amazing. You can get hot meals (chicken or veal sandwiches, lasagna, pizza...) and TONS of baked goods or gelato. There is always a line-up so prepare to wait.
I cannot give a review on their food? I have been trying to contact these people for a couple of month and I have not been able to reach them. I live in Caledon, I am willing to go to Scarborough to try their pizza. This bakery seems to be successful and should be able to afford a receptionist to answear the phone.
The Italian bakery in GTA. The must try items are the chocolate fudge cake and the lobster tail roll. They are absolutely amazing. The lobster tail is a cream filled pastry. The pastry is very light and fluffy and the cream is to die for. It is absolutely amazing. The fudge cake is something I recently tried and loved. It was not to sweet, the fudge was smooth nor grainy and the cake was fluffy. Absolutely delicious. There are many other desserts there but these two I highly recommend.
I just want to start by saying thank you . My search for the beat pizza is over I will only buy your pizza for the rest of my life! …
Very disorganized ques outside and no control or direction. Food and pastries are ok bit not worth the hassle
Pizza and gelato were delicious! Pricing and service was amazing! Definitely recommended!
I am glad I live far away from this place but it doesn't stop me from making an occasional trip down here. Lamanna's Bakery make our favourite cakes. We usually order a strawberry short cake with custard. It's simple but they do it so well that it takes it next level. Their Italian pastries are delicious as well, especially the lobster tails. They're the ultimate combination of flaky and crunchy. The canollis are great as well. It's better than the ones I had in Italy. Come here and have some of great desserts Edit, came here during Covid 19, employees all wore their masks properly and the pastries were still the best in Toronto. I would recommend getting anything with pistachios.
Their pizza, desserts, and gelato are all amazing. Very delicious! The plain cheese pizza is among the best I've ever had, however, they can be hit and miss. I've had amazing pizza here, but I've also had dry, bland pizza as well. The desserts have never disappointed though. It's almost always busy and has long lines, but usually worth the wait.
I’ve been to this place twice not by choice! Both times I left feeling angry, cheated out of my money the staff I encountered were very off putting an rude. I thought the first time was just a one off type …
Excellent pastries. May have to wait 10-15 mins but they get orders done quick. Really friendly staff who help you select what you need. Great atmosphere. The prices are fair considering the quality and taste. I expect to make the trip here more often since I live less than a 10min drive away.
Place is expensive and the staff isn't the friendliest. No labels on desserts. Line up can take up to 25 minutes. Take a look at the price of your food your buying lasagna alone is 280$ for the tray they make. . . . Just saying
Tried the giant pizzas for my son's birthday and they were good for photo ops, but next time I'll stick with original toppings. The nachos pizza was not the best and the crust on both were way too thick. They had a Nutella bomb dessert that my kids loved though. They're really busy, even when you pre-order, you still have to line up to pick it up and inside is a little disorganized.
Went here for the first time today. Got a slice of pizza to eat for lunch and some pasta to take home for dinner as well as some pastries. Everything was out of this world delicious and really good quality. Also I found the prices to be very affordable for the quality of food. Staff were all really friendly. I can't wait to go back to try a meatball sandwich and some gelato!
The staff here are extremely friendly and the baked goods are amazing! I highly recommend this place
We've had desserts, pizza and pasta from here. All have been superb. There is usually a line up, but it goes quickly. Well worth the wait. Have yet to try the Giant slice of Pizza, but did have some of their slices to go and they were great. The lasagna was also fantastic. Highly recommend the drive out east for this.
Today we went and bought some pastries, pizza by the slice and gelato. I will start off by saying that if you want a tasty slice of pizza, you won’t go wrong. On the other hand, the pastries were expensive and HORRIBLE! We bought cannoli, the lobster tail and a few others—absolutely the WORST pastries that we have ever eaten. In fact we threw them all in the garbage (talk about throwing away money - they are too far away for me to jump in the car to return them). The cannoli tasted like they were fried in old cooking oil. Not sure what butter they use in their pastries but they were absolutely horrible. Very disappointed customer.
V E R Y Hardworking family. When you go there you feel you went to Italy. This place is so heartwarming and you can tell that everything is made with love. Who wouldn’t want to give business to a family like that? Eh! I saw this business when it was just starting up and the quality was just sooooooo good that they quickly renovated and expanded, and not so much to look better as a bakery but because the customers line up would fit anymore lol ???? I love love Lamannas’ Bakary. The quality is fresh and unlike anything you have tasted before. The food here feels so organic that looks like a grandma from Italy ???????? cooked it for you ???????????? delicious Rating and recommending this place a lot.
This place is a zoo and a half. This place must print money with the lineups, ton of staff and pastries coming our constantly. Why are they playing loud music between masks and plexiglass - cant hear anything. Order your large pizzas early. Pastries are amazing
The food and the bakery is consistently good. If I could make 1 suggestion, please label the many cakes they have on display in the bakery. I hate needing to point to every single cake and asking what it is. With the general noise of the place + the masks + being hard of hearing it's very frustrating walking in to pick up a cake.
Found your place from BeardMeatsFood back in October. Gonna try that big slice of pizza when the weather gets a bit nicer where i can drive my E-bike to the place. Love my pizzas
Ordered the Big Slice pizza and the Simpsons donut Big Slice!! Amazing!!!
Horrible customer service for what is actually very mediocre food and deserts. Because they are the only half decent Italian eatery in that neighbourhood seems to have emboldened the ownership to take their customers for granted - these …
I have been here a couple times but every single time the wait is astronomical. The food is good but the pizza is hit or miss. The first time I came here I came for the giant pizza slice and was told that if I ordered it, it would be a 2 hour wait which seems ridiculous but the teenager at the counter was very insistent and very rude to my friend and I. We ended up ordering a slice of pizza that was dry and tasted old. The gelato was very good though, there is a large variety of desserts some a little expensive but all very good. I came back a different time and had the giant piece of pizza that was far far better than the Normal slice I got the first time and it was only a half hour wait which is reasonable for that size of a slice.
Got the large pizzas for a birthday celebration and they were a huge hit! Very fun for Instagram pics eating the large slice! For savoury, we tried Porcini - tasted good bit we wished the mushrooms were scattered a bit more evenly and not all lumped in the centre... one slice gets cut up into many smaller slices after all. For dessert, we got Simpsons - iconic pink donuts on top frosting. Really fun to eat, tasted great fresh. Don't save for too long as the dough gets tough the next day.
Very disappointing. My family and I have been wanting to come and try this place for a while now. My experience started by calling a few days ahead and the girl on the phone was very rude and was no help for pre pick up orders. We drove from milton to Scarborough to try this “famous bakery”. We stood in a 40 minute line for ok and sub par food. We got a slice of the cheese pizza to eat on our way home, just to find a blonde hair inside the pizza (my mom and I don’t have blonde hair). Disgusting! The lasagna had no flavour and the deserts where ones you can get in grocery stores. The cannolis also had no surgery flavour. They didn’t taste fresh. Our local milton bakery LA ROSE is 100x better than this place, the best cannolis in the GTA. The line ups aren’t worth it!
Got the big slice - Hawaii 5-0 -, the candy dream big slice, and a 21" pepperoni, all were amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very glad I made the trip. Some reviews are not fair as we are in a pandemic and certain things are outside of a business' control. There is a line if you walk in but if you pre-order there is a separate door to go through to pick up your order. Great experience all around. Will definitely be returning.
Can get very busy. Pizza and coffee is great here. Try the 2ft pizza slice. I think it's better than the regular sized slice. You need to order sometime before closing because if they have too many orders they will not have time to make it
The staff is very stand offish... not very friendly and the pizza is over hyped. The pizza is a 5 out of 10 in my opinion. Not worth the line up.
The desserts I ordered here were amazing! Everything had its own u inquest texture and taste. They had these dulce de leche filled mini churros which were a winner in my books. The donuts were super soft and fluffy amd with that pistachio cream, it just made the donut! I think if it didn’t t have the sugar on the donut it would’ve taste that much better, but loved everything! Also ordered the veal sandwich and it was great! Sloppy and delicious! The veal was nicely done and all the sauce was just soaked right into the bread! Had a really nice setup for takeout. One line for the pastries and another separate line for their famous pizza! They also had a person standing at the door to ensure everyone coming in knew which way to go for what they were looking for. Cannot wait for my next visit here. I would love to get that HUGE pizza slice next time! Maybe even a second one for dessert too! Yes, they also have the HUGE dessert slice! Ordered the birthday cake slice for my girls birthday she loved it . tastes as good as it looks..!! Will return for the gelato one day soon :D
Food is always great, so is the service...so many things to try..great hot table and pizza is....well you need to try it
I visited Lamanna's Bakery to get a birthday cake. I got a lemon mousse cake, it was the best I've ever had. I also got canoli that were filled with ricotta. They were delicious, not too sweet just the way we like them. I decided to try the gelato too. I got the small family size which is a very generous portion. It was so good we will be going back to try all the flavours. I don't think we'll be getting birthday cakes from anywhere else from now on.
Place is busy at times. Not enough seating. Pizza was average but they do have the Big Slice of pizza. They have lots of pre prepared pizza slices. Big Slice you may have to order ahead. They also have a large dessert selection and Gelato.
Great place for pizza, lasagna and dessert! I went in to grab lunch, dinner and a dessert. The store was well set-up for the pandemic. I did not know that there were two separate lines for desserts and hot foods. Would go back for pizza. It was delicious! Helpful Tip ... if you walk in ... for hot food orders, please go to the left where the slices of pizzas are and for desserts, please walk straight forward. Gelato looked amazing but never had time to try it. I will next time. Wait time was quick and painless. I did not wait in line too long (5 mins). Great fast services!
Ordered cake and pizza on the phone and online for specific time. Waited in Covid restrictions line outside for about 15 minutes. Cake was not ready, had to wait for 15 additional minutes for them to make it. Pizza was left on the counter beside the door while waiting for the cake. Pizza got all cold. A lot of staff inside but very slow process. By the time I got home had to reheat the pizza as it was completely cold. Limit 10 people inside. Did not know there was a separate entrance for pick ups. Need better signage. Could have saved at least 15 minutes. Other then that food and pasties is always good at Lamanas.
Is it too much to ask to have someone answer a phone at your business? This is the worst service you can imagine. And their "online Ordering" is a complete joke...have to order a pizza 24 HOURS in advance?? There are many places with very good pizza who actually want to serve you
Excellent selection of food. Beautiful #big slice". Great value for the sandwiches. A wonderful selection of baked pastries and desserts. Service from the younger staff are peppy and solid. Service from the older staff is a bit tired and as if the customer is a bothersome.
I drove all the way from maple to surprise the kids with a big slice after a friend of mine told me about this place when I got there and went to order was told I have to pre order 24 hrs advance! I didn’t know this and could of been told this if maybe 1 of my 7 calls was answered before I came thinking I can tell them to have one made by the time I get there but nope. Yes I know it can get busy but 7 calls come on I wasted gas and time and traffic to only be told a little to late about this 24 hr in advance order. Bad first exp. If a call was answered and stopped me from coming I would of made another future trip but i can tell you I won’t be. We drove back to maple and went to 10/10 pizza place Marcello’s.
Rude staff. They are always busy so they don’t care about customers service. This is my 2 time in a row we’re they messed up on my order. Now I am taking my business to Francesca Italian Bakery where they have good customer services and they get the order right.
Really crowded bakery that serves pizza and pasta also. They have different counters for each. Their pizza is huge, and their pasta is reasonably priced. I only tried their desserts though. Had six different types, including an eclair, cannoli, puff pastry, cake, cheesecake thing and tiramisu. Really liked their puff pastry and eclair, but not a fan of the other items. The tiramisu was OK; flavour was a bit off. The cheesecake thing (wrapped in pastry) was dry. The filling of the cannoli was kind of grainy. I wouldn't completely write this place off though because they do have some good dessert choices. And their savour choices seem like a good deal for a meal.
Everything Ive tried here has been wonderful especially the Pastries. Most of the time they have a great pizza slice variety, and the one time they didn't what I got was still delicious... It takes some time to get through the line so keep that in mind. Staff is friendly, it's a 10/10 for me!
This bakery is a great place to always eat. Their giant pizza slice is very unique. Was worth the 45 minute wait. Their pizza has a lot of flavor. They have a lot of cake and treats as well. Each of them have their own unique taste! Definitely will be going back.
The pasteries are out of the world. Had the vegetable lasagna, big serving and fabulous!
Fabulous place! My first time there and it was very busy. It's confusing to know where to go to line up for ordering food and pastries. I was lining up at the wrong place until someone at the front assisted me.
Excellent pizza, their dough is so very good. Sadly after pizza all we had space left for was some gelato (very nice) and espresso. We will return again for more treats the next time we’re in the area.
Amazing food and service!!! Line up seems overwhelming, however they are great at keeping everyone being served quickly!
I can only speak to what I ordered, however based on what I had I am not impressed and regret lining up for 35 mins in the rain. I got the cheese slice right out of the oven and honestly it is bland and flavorless. We also had a pesto slice and again it was bland and tasteless. As for the sweets, we had the strawberry shortcake which is basically just whip cream and strawberry slices between two hamburger buns. After a couple bites I was done. Based on the reviews I think I was expecting something way better than regular pizza chains, however I am very disappointed.
I will not be ordering from this bakery again. This is the second time this has happened now. Their food is delicious; however, the service is terrible and they do not follow COVID safe precautions in their pickup area. I placed an order for pickup at a certain time. I arrived 2 minutes before my pickup time slot and stood in the 6x2 ft sized pickup holding area. I was told my order would be ready soon but they are waiting on the arancini. I stood there for over 30 MINUTES until I received my order. When I place my order (which I had already paid for online two days prior) for pickup at 2pm (for example), I expect my food to be ready to be picked up at 2pm. They literally started making the arancini when I got there. Why weren’t they ready when I ordered them 2 days in advance? Three other people came into the tiny pickup area (no ability to social distance, VERY unsafe) and all got their orders, all while I was still waiting for mine. 1) When someone pays for an order 2 days in advance for pickup at a certain time, it should be ready for pickup at that time. I shouldn’t have to wait over 30 minutes for my order to be cooked then and there. There is no point in signing up for a pickup time slot if the food isn’t ready when it’s supposed to be. 2) Someone needs to be monitoring the tiny pickup area and only allow 2 people to stand in there at a time. There is no way to social distance in the 6x2 ft blocked-in pickup area. At one point there were 4 of us standing in there at once, basically shoulder to shoulder. Absolutely unsafe and unacceptable during these times. 3) This bakery needs to ensure people are only arriving for their pickup order AT THE TIME THEY SIGNED UP FOR so there isn’t a whole crowd of people standing in this tiny pickup area. The worker did not ask any one of these people what time their pickup order was for, meaning people are not arriving at their correct time slot. There is too much overlap of people arriving at the same time, putting everyone at risk.
Love this place!! Pizza was delicious, veal sandwich was amazingggggg. And the "Lobster Tail" pastry is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Can't wait to go back for some more! I highly recommend this place for anyone to try!
Never had a lobster tale until I came here to try one and OMG! They might of just taken #1 on my desert menu. They are TO DIE FOR! Canolis weren't for me though. I'm not sure if they didn't make them right or that's just how their suppose to taste. But you MUST TRY THE LOBSTER TALES!!!!! ???? ???? Pizza was good to. But lobster tales were better ????
Amazing food and desserts, the pizza is fantastic. Customer turnaround is brutal though. ordering ahead of time has a long wait to pick up (this happened before covid too)
First time going to Lamanna’s. We got a plain cheese pizza big slice to try out! I enjoyed it! It was a bit cheesy for my wife and we both felt they could have added more pizza sauce! We will definitely order again with more pizza sauce and less cheese!
They have the best new York style thin crust Margarita Pizza. Also wide selection of pastry
Long lines here on a Saturday. Pizza was good, not great. Little bit too much bread, light on cheese and light on sauce.
It was awesome!! Great food and desserts. If you haven't been there yet make the time to go you won't be disappointed.
If you haven't already tried the BIG slice at Lamanna's Bakery, you are missing out! We ordered a custom big slice pizza for dinner and a churro pizza for dessert. We loved every bite of it! They were big and fed six of us. The Italian dough, sauce, cheese, were mouth watering. We always love ordering from Lamina's bakery and the prices are reasonable.
Line up wasn't too bad (only allowing 10 ppl into the restaurant due to covid) all of the food and sweets looked delicious. The nutella donuts and cannolis were pretty good. The pizza was great too tasted like old school hand made pizza. We also ordered lasagna it was just okay, tasted like a catering company made it not like my nona in the kitchen. Wished it was a bit more authentic but excited to go back a try the veal ????
Nothing but fresh, great tasting food whenever I visit. The desserts and gelato are amazing, as well as the pizza slices.
Lamannas is dishes are absolutely incredibly amazing. It only took us one visit and that was it. That was three years ago. The food is undeniably delicious as well as the atmosphere and Hospitality the combination is what set this incredible eatery at such a favourite for us. We highly recommend Lamannas. You have got to get yourselves there and then will see just how wonderful it really is. Infact the food is so good, you might find yourself at a line up and looking so forward to your favourite dish, remember to call ahead and they'll have it ready for you, yes it's that good. We are now Customers for life and you will be too. Thankyou Lamannas. You guys Rock !!!!! Mike Tomkins
Been going to Lamanna's for couple years years now as family liked their desserts. However their customer service had gone worse over the years, reaching new low last weekend. Went in on last Saturday to pick up birthday cake and couple cannolis for husband's birthday, the young girl at counter kept chatting to her coworker not paying attention to our order, we had to repeat several times our order. Very unprofessional and disrespect to customers. Not only that, we ordered 5 desserts and she only gave us 4 and missed giving us 1 more box with the last dessert! After we left, the same young girl left right after us and closed the shop. Apparently we are the last customer so she wanted to close the shop and go home asap. With this kind of customer service it won't take long to close shop for good permanently!
Great fast service. The food is tasty.
Amazing, amazing food! Would suggest the meat lasagne, any of the pizza slices, chicken parmigiana on a bun with a little bit extra ssuce, all the pastries and end it with an expresso or latte. Oh and don't forget to get some gelato. I first heard of this place several years ago from an Italian woman who I will never forget. Joanna whose mother was a patient of mine and wanted to say thanks for caring for her mother with one of the lobster rolls. So yummy! #lamannasbakery#jojosuperbar#pizza#bestItalianfoodever ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Thank you for the great and delicious food. You and your team are always so friendly and helpful with making a decision on what to choose. ????
Horrible customer service...a female server (tall, lighter blk, and slim) at Lasana was rude and not apologetic to accept mistakes. Our order was given to another customer. Lasana cancelled due to less than 1 hr waiting. Our order was missing... I knew that she was telling a lie...We will not come back here anymore...
The Gelato tasted good but I'd rather spend my money elsewhere because I ordered two scoops of Gelato but the lady only let me taste test two flavors (this was pre covid when you could still taste test). It doesn't make sense that I ordered two scoops and only get to taste test two scoops. What's the point in being able to taste test a maximum amount of how many scoops you ordered? Plus you have to order before you taste test anyways so it's not like I was trying to taste test every flavor and then leave without getting anything. This is the only ice cream shop that I've ever been to that does this.
I have always wanted to try this place and had high expectations. This place was ABOVE my expectations they sell some of the BEST DESSERTS in toronto! I have yet to try the mega pizza slice. The only thing i dislike is their hours. They close early and sometimes remain closed all day for a part of the week so be mindful before dropping by. I will def be returning soon ????????????????
Line up all way to street to see what cakes they have .. I see nothing I can't go get same cakes from a grocery store. Update your website backery gooda so people can see what you have.
The pastries are absolutely top notch, but expect to wait a while, even if you preorder!
Had couple slices of big pizza, meat lasagna, and pastry. Price was good and food was delicious. It was great place. I enjoyed a lot. Staff was very nice too.
Very busy place. Pizza and bakery products are good
Excellent experience. Line up and organization inside with covid precautions was well handled. Bought tiramisu which was superb and moist. Also grabbed a pizza slice for good measure. All are 4.50 and we had a vegie slice which was tasty and filling.
Lamanna’s is way more than a Bakery. We came 30 minutes before the closing time, and there were lineups (no discounts …
