I came 2 days before a event to place a catering order and was taken care so well by the staff. They guided me through the menu and gave suggestions as if they were hosting it with me. The food was ready before time and tasted amazing! All the guests provided endless compliments and praise, I raved about this cute secret spot in Milton. So glad I listened to my gut and trusted La Rose with catering to my bridal shower. Thank you so very much

We absolutely love la rose. They have the best donuts and bagels, love the hot fresh lunch they provided and the pasta salads are really good to go. Recently, I ordered a cake for my daughters first birthday and it looked exactly as I visioned and tasted even better.

I hadn't been to La Rose in 10 years so when I came back to grab the fresh bread and international foods for my grandmother I was surprised at how similar and updated the store was. If you are ever in Milton you have to visit. Try their hot lunch if anything. Grab a cookie or cupcake for a treat for later. Earlier is better because they sell out fast. La Rose is amazing.

I wanted to order a 10" Tiramisu cake, but only at last minute noticed they need 48hour prep time. So today I directly went to store and picked up a 8" Tiramisu. It's supposed to be "Lady finger cookies soaked in espresso and almond liqueur". At $43 I expected a really moist cake with actual Espresso taste lingering for sometime. But what I got was a cake with amazing cream, layered on dry lady fingers. The outside layer was completely dry, inside I could see few drops but 90% of the lady fingers were bone dry. To be frank I felt like it was not upto my expectations. I should have taken a longer drive to Irene's in Mississauga. Edit: it was indeed the inside that was too dry. Look at the pictures showing the cross section of the cake, and see how many cookies show coffee color.

I give it a two for one reason. Poor customer service. The bakery goods were actually good . I will never go back, customer service is very important to me. One time visit.

First time ever trying this place and ordering food from here. I ordered 2 pizzas from the catering menu, Margherita and Calabrese. the Calabrese pizza was good, but about 70% of the Margherita pizza was very burnt underneath. It was too late to call and get a new one, as I was hosting a baptism gathering and I didn't notice until we started taking the pizza apart. I wish someone there noticed, and asked if i wanted to wait or come back for a new one. Considering I spent $80 or so for these 2 pizzas, when i could of got them way cheaper at Pizza Nova for example, I was disappointed to find one of them was pretty burnt. the guests didn't enjoy the burnt pieces either, so that was $$ in the garbage.

Our family and friends love La Rose. I usually get their pastries and bakery items and everything so far has been delicious. Particularly noteworthy is their Ferrero Rocher cake, their cannolis, the mini cheesecakes and cupcakes. Their customer service is outstanding as well. I got cupcakes for a friend’s birthday and the lady at the counter went out of her way to wrap the box with a lovely ribbon and write Happy Birthday on the card in the perfect cursive :).

Custom cakes when we were in a pinch, tight on time, and short on ideas. And wow did they taste good. They also do homemade Italian catering and single of family meals. We ordered the penne rose pasta for our event and it was the crowd favorite. Will go back for their grocery and other specialty products as they've got much more to offer.

Always yummy selection. I have catered from La Rose several times now and it is always prompt. When I accidentally ordered a drink meat platter instead of the sandwiches the ladies behind the counter helped my husband pick out bread so we could make the sandwiches at home. Always delicious. Do not, I repeat do not go to La Rose unsupervised or hungry or else you will leave a light wallet and BUNDLES of good food and tasty treats. From the grocery items to bakery and desserts to the hot table La rose has everything you want and then some ???? such fresh and fine selection. Definitely a staple bakery in the halton region.

One of my favorite bakery in Milton. Freshly baked goods and taste yummy as well. They have good variety of baked goods. Place is very clean and staff is friendly. Their fruits were very fresh, picked few Peaches and wanted more. Definitely will visit again and again...

Great Italian food, take out, order ahead for catering. They're hot table and premade sandwiches are way too expensive. A salami sandwich is $10. However it's soon good!

I needed 2 trays of lasagna for my daughters’ birthday, I emailed the bakery on a Thursday to have it ready for Sunday. The ordering process was easy, they took my payment over the phone and when I came to pick up it was ready to go! Not to mention, the food was outstanding!! Highly recommend anything from this bakery, they took the extra care, as my older daughter has a tree nut allergy and they were so good about it. I will be ordering from them for many more occasions; even dinner on random nights! Thank you, La Rose!!

Not bad for a (Italian) neighborhood bakery - comparing it to Nino D'Aversa or Tre Rose shops which I visit regularly. Seems to be diligent with keeping clean, having a modest selection of goods and the staff are usually knowledgeable and courteous. Hot food section can get crazy busy at lunchtime - I've tried a few dishes and they've been decent. They have a serious collection of Cadbury (British) plus other chocolates and a variety of other goods not easily found at the Superstore or NoFrills. Haven't tried all their baked goods, so far not bad; fam loves their brownies and I am addicted to their basic Danish. Price wise its on par with the others of its type. Defintely a substitute for the Italian bakery cravings/needs.

This is a jewel of a store. I have been coming here for years and although I have moved out of the area I make sure I visit once or twice a month. The best bread and roll selection! I also make use of their grocery section, especially their British products. The catering menu, particularly for events has really impressed my guests, so much so they also make La Rose a regular stop.

Nice product but overall, EVERYTHING is Overpriced! Even there so called “sales” are overpriced. Do they think customers are fools? Bagel with cream cheese for $8. ????

I love the store and its only 2 mins. walk from our house which is great. My family and friends always order cakes here which is always good and delicious. Just work a little bit on customer service the lady who is serving me is a little rude, she’s like so tired and sleepy that she keeps rolling her eyes which made me so uncomfortable and as she puts the tart on the box one fruit tart fell down (like upside down) so the fruits are stuck and she’s grabbing it with the tongs and putting it back in front of me and like she didn’t even say sorry or something and just hand me the box and ask for the next person, and the person behind me saw it too and I can hear the whisper (“uh-oh don’t put in the box”) Like I was fine with the tart falling down coz it’s me who’s gonna eat it anyways but atleast say something. Over all, delicious macarons and tarts as always.

Never disappoints. Today I stopped by to grab a coffee and a treat and this coffee is so amazing that I had to leave a review. I like coffee but I love good coffee. I got a simple Americano and the flavour is just perfection. I’d go get another one but don’t want heart palpitations. Also thank you to the kind worker who opened the garden centre early so my friend and I could go in. I’ll be back!

Easily one of the worst spots to get your baked goods 1st off let’s talk about the price The prices here are beyond ASTRONOMICAL I’m not even joking $8 for 4 slices of cheese ? Their donuts overpriced Their cakes overpriced Their snack size cupcakes or sweets yep you guessed it way overpriced Hot table overpriced Cheese, meats canned goods jam , milk anything and everything . The only thing decently priced and I mean decently is some fruit it’s still more expensive but it’s not that bad . Then I get to the front .75 cents a bag are you joking ? This must be a joke “ charity reason “ I don’t care honestly you can pull $1 from any item in here to help charity it’s that expensive 2nd the service they act like their doing you a favour by shopping here chill out Guys get way more humble cuz I know the owners have 4-5 houses paid off . We’re customers you should treat us a lot better - don’t act like I owe you something not good vibes 3rd some of their stuff they let over to the next day and mark it as still fresh No it’s not trust and believe Anyways bottom line this place should be avoided at all costs I have friends that own another bakery and their prices and service are wayyyy better shop around !

What a fantastic place for sandwiches, bakery items and a huge assortment of products you don't often find (specialty tomato sauces, pastas, oils etc). Amazing selection of interesting and unusual chocolates! A MUST stop when in Milton!

This place is D I V I N E. If you live in Milton or happen to be around, this bakery is a must visit place for you especially if you have a sweet tooth. Best sellers: (1)Sweets: Canoli, Chocolate Eclairs (The very best ever!)(They also have a pistachio version), Rum balls. (2) Breads: They make fresh bread daily and yes it is almost over by evening. My favourite is the Pumpernickel bread. You can get your bread sliced right there and then. (3) Cakes: Beautiful and delicious cakes! Personally I don’t like fondant cakes and this bakery has so many traditional (non fondant) cakes. They use chocolate for decorations (In the pic see the beautiful shimmering white-chocolate rose) (4) Fresh hot food: Lunch time only.

I only go here for the pastries. If you're looking for canolis like me, it's best to get there early before it's sold out for the day. All pastries are $35 for a dozen and you can mix-and-match.

Great little bakery and grocery store but the prices seem to have gone through the roof in the past few months. I always go here to get a birthday cake but the last time I went it was almost $50 for a cake! I understand prices have gone up across the board but last year these were for about $35 that’s a huge increase! :(

Thank you adding to my wonderful birthday. This Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting was one of the best cakes I have ever eaten. Also kept refrigerated and 4 days later tasted just as good. I will definitely recommend this cake to all.

Update. My mistake went again today to get spinach rolls asked for 4 when i saw the price for 4 small came out to 18 bucks . I said is there a mistake she said no i said take them back. Then she said did you not see the cost in front i said no there is no price on front. La rose has gone down hill in many of there hot table foods. And they give you less. Well if you hike up prices then give more not less. The prices in bagels and donuts are akay. But the hot table is over priced. Ans some staff are rude. It was discusting. They have been around since 1982 But they are going down hill There sauce tastes sour. The ricoota rolls were awfull. The tortlin was hard I threw our the food Chicken parm was over loafed with saice and the cheese tasted old.mmi soecnt 87 dollars and had to throw out thisfood Greesu too.

The service is almost always excellent until you get to the cashing out line - then they kind of lose there impressiveness - seems to be pretty regularly that their cashiers are tired and grumpy, just sayin.

Bought a cake for a children's birthday. This was the tiramisu from the display case. When I cut it, there was mold at the bottom of the cake! I had to throw everything away there was no time to go to the store to figure it out. Update: I came to the store with this cake and manager gave me a gift card with 43$. He apologised also. Even though we were in not long before they closed, they still had a decent variety. When we got home and bit into our delicious baked goods, my wife and I both sighed in pure delight. amazing but very pricey bakery. lots of interesting tastey foods and imported/unique items. hot lunches such as veal sandwiches, panzerottis, etc. many items here are items you will probably have a hard time finding anywhere else in milton. organic produce area is nice too. even has a wedding cake section!. staff is always friendly and nice. great place i go to occasionally as a treat but i personally dont have the means to go too often due to the price. if your living or visiting milton its definitely worth checking out. its a very busy well liked place in milton.

La rose is the best Bakery in all of the GTA. Everything they offer from the imported UK products, the moist, beautiful cakes and the pastries. My family and I are never disappointed by anything from La Rose. You pay for the quality and the quality is always above and beyond. We’ve never tasted cakes better, they are so moist and delicious, and the cannolis and cheesecakes are just to die for. Also the hot food is really good, especially the truffle Mac and cheese. We’ve tried many bakeries and none compare. You need to try La Rose, you’ll keep coming back for more!

Way overpriced!! A 6oz. portion of pasta al forno costs $11.29(w/ tx) It also contained undisclosed food items- MUSHROOMS being the primary one. Every hot-table item had a seemingly exhaustive list of ingredients so, I was certain to read the ingredient list. Mushrooms were NOT listed!????

The food is great and high quality. The variety is amazing as well. However, it is expensive and they sell out of things quite quickly. A lot of items (buns, donuts, etc) can only be purchased in bigger quantities and not in individual portions. The lineups can be long and the store can get crowded. Still, as a local, I enjoy coming here and buying stuff; but I have to stop myself before I spend too much :).

Drove very far to come to this bakery. Very disappointed. I 'm about to scoop a bite and when I'm breaking the cheesecake apart there is a string of HAIR coming out of the cheesecake. That is very disgusting. Thankfully i did not just bite into it I will say that the employees were very helpful that night and I had a good experience shopping but I would not come back due to there being hair in my food.. management was helpful, kind, patient and understanding as well when i contacted them in regards to this. I understand mistakes happen but when handling food, please be more diligent!!!

LaRose has such a variety of specialty foods and treats, not to mention all of their fresh baked breads and pastries! The quality is always on point. All of their employees are friendly especially the ladies at the hot table! You must try the Cannoli Cake or even just Cannoli! You won’t be disappointed!

Unless you are going to take out a mortgage to shop at this place i don't recommend it. .. it is very over price. 2 spinach pastry for $18.00 when you can get the same at Metro for $2.49 each. Ridiculous. The line up for the cold cuts. Was long. No order.. i heard a lady saying she has been waiting for 15min. I've been to la rose before.. and i stop going because of the service. Thought i would give it another go. But nothing has changed.

I am always on the search for a bakery that doesn't disappoint and offers different selection. In terms of desserts (as that was the purpose of my visit), this is now my new go to place (sorry Lazar and Lazio Bakery in Mississauga)! The desserts are of high quality (i.e., Zeppole Pastries [must try, only offered up to Easter time], Mini Pastries - tried the mousse, tarts, cream puffs [12 pieces for $35 - amazing price]). I'll be coming back to try out the cakes (again, different selection than your typical bakeries). The bakery also offers hot meals (lines means it must be good!), breads/buns, produce, and many imported and unique products that I haven't seen on other bakery's shelfs. I am in love with this place!

One of the finest and best bakeries in all of GTA. Their in-house hot food is absolutely delicious and they have a huge selection of imported products, breads, cakes, pastries and other specialty foods. A lot of options for vegetarians. It’s a gem of a place if you’re a food lover and prefer high quality.
