The folks at the IBC are to be commended! They serve top quality packaged goods and very fresh and tasty hot food to go. Their deli selection is wide (nearly the largest I have seen in London) and always very fresh. Finally, this is the ONLY place that I have found this side of Waterloo that has tarelli (those hard little loops) in bulk, not pre-packaged. AND (added bonus) they taste EXACTLY like Nonna used to make. I spoke with the manager who said they are shipped in nearly daily from a bakery in Toronto, made the day before. AWESOME!

This place is beyond dirty. If there are any inspectors reading this, check out where they bake the bread sometime...it would be shut down within minutes. Bugs, rodents, smoking, and no hygiene...stuff falls on the floor and they still package it. Disgusting.

This place might not be as well known to non-Italians as the other Italian bakery in town (the one that rhymes with Michaelangelo), but they have a great selection of deli meats (including some, like cottechino, that you can only find here), and a nice selection of fresh baked breads and house-made pastries. The new store, which isn't that new anymore, is clean and bright and spacious, and located right next to the original location. If you are looking for any sort of Italian food ingredients, these guys will have it. Check them out - it will be worth your time!

One of the times I went there I got Cabbage rolls to eat that same night and when I went to eat them, they were sour. They had gone bad, who knows how long they had been sat there, but they tasted absolutely disgusting. Went again to try something that wasn't Cabbage rolls, decided to give their chicken caeser wraps a try. It's not even proper chicken that they use, they cheap out and use cold cut chicken and I don't know about anyone else, but last time I had a Caesar salad THERE WASN'T CUCUMBER IN IT. Very disappointing. Their desserts are quite dry as well.

We ordered lasagnas and buns for 60 people for a party and the food was perfect. The large sheet lasagnas easily fed twenty people each and we had ordered 5 and had 1.5 left over but were happy to freeze it for leftovers. Everyone commented on how good the food was, the people there were easy to work with and the price is great. I would highly reccomend them and use them again in the future.

Amazing sub! Great price and friendly staff with ample parking. You can dine in as there is a seating section if you choose. Decent selection of other foods and to be Frank, the sub is very filling. If I wasnt visiting London I would have refrigerated the other half for later!

We live right around the corner and used to go here every couple of days for lunch meats and bread. They have a great selection and fair prices, but their service lately has just been lacking. We've had multiple issues with rude employees (no matter how friendly we are) so for that reason we will not be returning. Best of luck to you guys.

Some of the coffees -espressos are sold here.The bakery has a diverse range of tiramasu's and canolis.This place is always busy.They have moderate parking. They're definitely following covid guidelines and the place is very clean. They also sell preset meals like lasagnas spaghetti and meatballs tortellinis excetera. I highly recommend this place

I haven't tried the deli counter nor the pastry counter yet but the staff seemed friendly. There's even a little coffee shop! The store is clean and well organized. While Internationsl bakery is really progressive in providing paper bakery boxes, I ask that you consider using compostable take away containers and remove plastic and styrofoam containers.

I have been going here for over 4yrs. They are always friendly (even when busy). I’ve never had an issue with any of the food I’ve purchased from here. Luv their own Marinara sauce is awesome ! I have found that some of their baked, packaged items aren’t made there. They are packaged. Certainly NOT a deal breaker by far. I will continue to go there for fresh bread, deli and store made foods.

On my last visit, I witnessed something that left a very bad taste in my mouth. I came by to pick up my usual Lasagna Lunch, and when I arrived at your food counter I heard the way the kitchen staff was being belittled and talked to like they were pieces of garbage by the owner of this establishment. I did end up buying my lunch there but have decided to not come back as this has been bothering me ever since. I cannot believe that such an establishment would think it is okay to talk to their employees who work very hard for your bakery like garbage. I hope someone reports you to the Ministry of labor and Human Rights because your employees do not have to tolerate such treatment!

Tried this bakery for the first time. Bought a small 6 inch strawberry cake which was delicious but also looked amazing the detail the chocolate covered strawberries and the chocolate shavings on the side. I also purchased a small container of the beef ravioli which had their homemade marinara sauce which was also good. I cant wait to come back to try more!!!

Edit: I have been a regualr customer for 10 years! I am done shopping here! I usually spend about $2000 here a year. Now I will be spending this elsewhere. A couple of weeks ago my husband was shamed by the cashier for wearing a mask and a shield. This makes me think they are not following the proper guidelines when it comes to Covid-19. No one should be belittled by a cashier for doing the right thing. The mask is used to protect others the shield is used to protect yourself and others. I will never be back! Old review: Love this place, 4 stars because sometimes the produce is wrinkled up and old looking

I haven't actually sat down to eat in the International Bakery but I have shopped there. Their bakery products are outstanding and reasonably priced. Try the chocolate cake that they sometimes stock and mark down. You will want to buy a whole cake for special events and birthdays. It's incredibly rich and they don't skimp on the chocolate. Cheeses and cold cuts are fantastic. I bought a hard cheese with peppers that really is to die for. A great place hidden in the Hamilton Road District. It won't disappoint.

This bakery has been around since I moved into the area 30 some yrs ago. They moved into a bigger building a few yrs ago and now offer even more of the most delishious baked goods. They also offer every kind of deli meat you could think of and if all that wasn't enough they now have a cafe. I've never been disappointed here. The staff is friendly and they work very quickly to take care of you. I love love love this bakery. Probably the best in london. Oh I forgot to mention there prices are very reasonable.

Dissapointed! I have never been to the store before so i thought instead of going to timhortons for donuts, I would buy some pastries. Wish i went to timhortons! I waited at the counter, being ignored by the girls in the back who clearly seen me! Rang the "bell", still ignored. Thankfully, another employee was either done her shift or on break asked if I have been helped and went and got someone. When the girl came, she was very rude and acted like i was an inconvience to her. When picking out the pastries, I felt the girl was annoyed that I didn't care what flavours I got, as I just wanted an assortment. When i tried the pastries, the carrot cake and brownies were dry and the Greek noodle salad i got was also frozen at the bottom. I normally wouldn't complain about the food, but the customer service was so bad it's hard not to intertwine the too.

***UPDATE*** If I could leave 10 stars, I would!!! After I left this review, I contacted the bakery directly via their website, to give them the chance to make it right. And they definitely went above and beyond! They contacted me within minutes of me emailing them, and then delivered the bread to MY HOUSE on Saturday morning, and gave me extra! I couldn't be more pleased, and I definitely appreciate the effort that they took to make it right. They really do care about their customers and they have gained a lifetime customer in me. I'm so impressed with the quality of the bread, and the price point really is fabulous. It's cheaper and much better than what you would find at a grocery store. 10 STARS!! Thanks again for saving the day! ***OLD*** If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered bread on a Wednesday, for Friday evening pickup. I get there Friday at 5, as planned. I go into the store, and they tell me to go across the parking lot, white door. Its not marked or anything, so sketchy. So I open the door, and there's 2 people in there, and you can see in the factory and whatnot. I tell them I had an order, and immediately they start grumbling. The lady goes and gets a big box and I'm like sweet! And then she tells me that they didn't make the 4 sourdough bread bowls I ordered. I ask why not, I ordered it in advance? "We just didn't make it"... OK??? So apparently orders aren't taken seriously or prioritized at all. I had also ordered some pumpernickel. They asked if I still wanted it. I was like ya no don't think so. They will not be getting my business after ruining a meal I had planned for the Saturday. If you think ordering your bread in advance will ensure you get your bread, think again. Also, why they couldn't have called me to let me know not to drive across the city during rush hour because they "just didn't make" my order, is beyond me. No bread, no decency. I kind of thought this would happen though, because the person I spoke to on the phone when I ordered it was completely unprofessional and rude. ZERO STARS!

Staff not as ,friendly as I would like .September 15 2020 updated to returned so called Banana Coffee Cake as there was no taste of Banana in the So Called Banana Coffee Cake. They did not offer a substitute nor a refund. I left telling them to keep it. I will shop The Portuguese Bakery instead as they are more friendly and would have at least tasted the loaf and give me a substitute or refund.

This place is not really a bakery, it's more of an Italian grocery. It has a big selection of imported Italian food items from many regions, in addition to a deli counter and the bakery. Prices are very fair and not outrageous specialty store prices. Kept very clean and well stocked. Parking is available on site right outside the doors.
