I was a little surprised to find 170 existing reviews for this great small town bakery, but on the other hand, not too surprised. Like pretty much everyone else who has commented here, I have nothing but nice things to say about the products, the service and the attitudes of the staff members here. I haven't sampled all of their goods but all of the the doughnuts, the pies, the butter tarts, the bread and the buns that I have tried are outstanding. I would not be worried about anything I purchased here. I would be confident in ordering a dessert I have never tasted to take to a friends place as my contribution to a dinner party, certain that everyone would be happy with the taste and quality. They are that good. Put this place on my recommended list.

Dooher's has a wonderful assortment of baked goods- it's hard to choose a favourite! The muffins are perfect for a quick snack, the Naan breads make great pizza's, the turtle cake is delicious, and the cheese bread is a must-have. If you're going on a Saturday, get there early, or order ahead!

Oh oh oh!!! This bakery makes the best donuts, muffins, cookies and the freshest softest buns! Yes, I tried all of these ... oh and butter tarts!!! They were really nice and helpful as well. *** Go early because they are famous for their donuts and usually run out by early afternoon!!! They are limiting people in the store, masks mandatory, plexi glass is up and hands sanitized before you go in so it felt very safe. I am glad I don't live close because I would not be able to resist all those yummy baked goods!

I was disappointed they were sold out last time (Thanksgiving) but not surprised - I got a coconut cream pie instead that the girl at cashier went back and prepared fresh for me! I'll definitely take their advice and call ahead next time I'm in Ontario to reserve some donuts! Can't wait to make a trip back :)

Firstly, I want to mention that the food here is amazing and I think that the owner wouldn't appreciate what follows in my review. I drove over an hour to visit this bakery. I have never been here and have heard the food is amazing. So I took my morning to travel and try it out. There was a younger blonde woman at the counter that was miserable and completely ruined the experience. We literally were rushed out, quote "do you just want two of everything" and "let me just choose for you". We weren't even there for 15 minutes, and there wasn't a wait in line. I definitely will not be advising anyone to make the trip to Doohers unfortunately. Posting this review in hope for the owner to see it and tend to the customer service issues with their employee.

Worth driving 100 kilometers for! Everything is very very good! Doohers was recommended to me by someone who raved about their cream filled donuts. Well, it is true - they are splendid and highly addictive (buy more than you planned for because you will be craving them later). I am totally loving this bakery, so set your GPS and head there now!

I usually avoided all bakery because of the temptation with so many choices of the sweets available at bakery. We bought a house in Campbellford 2 summers ago and have been visiting Dooher's Bakery once or twice a month. This summer being on the boat had brought us to Dooher's every weekend before we head out to the marina grabbing the goodies for our fellow boaters. I have to admit Dooher's is one of the top choices of bakery so far for me. Their cream filled donuts, fruit tarts, fruit and cream cheese danishes, fruit filled oatmeal cookies.....just to named a few, they are absolutely delicious......I don't eat these kind of bad temptations but I caved in and chomped down a few of those tarts. My goodness their fruits flavoured bread are exceptional, every visit I would purchased 6 loafs for my weekly lunches. I have never seen any bakery with 2 line ups at both their doors of patrons waiting to get their goodies. Haven't been there during the weekdays but the weekends you have to be there early to make your purchase otherwise they have nothing left. And that happened a lot by 10ish. I wish Dooher's Bakery is a franchise and branch out to Mississauga. Your team of bakers are magnificent in feeding your patrons and your team of front staffs are incredibly helpful and courteous. Keep up the superb work. Nov. 15, 2018 It has been over a year being their regulars....I have tried all items on their menu. I see why the are ranked " number 1 sweetest bakery in Canada". Most of their sweets are super delicious, a wee bit too sweet for my liking. My best choices here are the flavoured bread, cheese bread, lemon coconut squares and blueberry pie. These are much lighter and super delicious. I am sure others will say other wise, and it may be right. You just have to give them a try and you will see.

I have heard many good things about Dooher’s Bakery and the majority of the reviews for this spot seemed positive. My two friends and I listened to the suggestions to arrive before 12pm to make sure there were plenty of options (thank you for the heads up!) so we did just that. The one person serving my friends and I came off rude, pushy and seem to be rushing us to get in and out as quickly as possible. I would understand this if they were busy but we were the only 3 customers there at the time. I stated this was our first time and apologized that we had some questions and may take a little bit of time to decide on what we would like. She held the same rude sounding tone of voice and making us feel rushed. Along with the one specific staff member, the 3 dozen donuts we bought, the tart and the muffin were not fantastic or above average in anyway. The apple fritters were OK though! The jelly filled donuts had maybe a bite worth of jelly in them, the other donuts were pretty firm and tasted quite average. I personally don’t deem them far better than Tim Hortons quality. While they would be a different recipe and “cheapness”, they would be considered the same level of average-ness to me personally. I hear the bagels are good but I don’t think it’s worth the 45 minute drive, rude service and gamble to test my luck with them again. I understand some people may have a different view- but I’d just take it with a grain of salt and do not believe they are the best of the best. There is an Amish family in the Stirling, ON area that makes wonderful homemade glazed donuts. Their price is $10 for a dozen. So cheaper and better in my opinion. There are other small and local options out there.

Advance ordered by email and waited in line on a Friday morning. There were about 5 to 7 people in front of me and it didn't take long at all. I was glad there were good measures in place due to covid. The donuts are not fancy or gourmet, but are more like traditional comfort food. I especially liked the classics like the chocolate dip, maple, and apple fritter. I liked how airy the donut part of the cream donut was, but there was a bit too much cream for me. I also liked the chelsea buns, pecan and chocolate butter tarts. The service was very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend if you're looking for good old fashioned donuts and pastries.

I've ordered many different kinds of treats from Dooher's and have yet to be disappointed. They have cool flavours that I've never had before but loved (e.g. apple cheddar muffins, carrot pineapple loaf) along with my favourite kinds of classic donuts. I'm always surprised by how soft, moist, and not overly sweet their treats are. Sometimes donuts from other bakeries are so greasy and sickeningly sweet, but Dooher's donuts are perfect. The raspberry pie we bought was the best fruit pie I've ever eaten. Prices are affordable and the service is always great. The lineup can be really long but that's how you know it's worth it.

They don't adhere to their own posted hours of operation. I get here 35 min before they are supposed to close, the place is abandoned. Hey Dooher's, why don't you post the proper hours, then people won't bother running up to Campbellford only to find out that you guys all buggered off early. Standing on the street in front of your store, looking at your sign that states 5:30pm as closing time on Saturdays, looking at my watch and it's five minutes to 5. Won't waste my time, gas, or money on you again. At least Empire and WF honour their posted hours, so the trip wasn't a total bust.

What can I say this is my guilty pleasure ???? They have hands down the BEST dohnuts for miles! I actually had never purchased anything but their award winning dohnuts until last week when I was in town for work. I treated my husband to tea biscuits. I bought the cheese and raisin ones. They weren't dry and crumbly like some and they were soooo delicious. I'll have to try some of their other baked goods next time!

We had Dooher's do their amazing donuts for our wedding instead of getting a cake! We had roughly about 140 guests. We ordered 300 donuts and the next day only had 6 left! If that doesn't tell you how great they are then I don't know what will. Purchase a Butterscotch Square only to bite in and find out it was a peanut butter square which I'm extremely allergic to, improper labeling could have serious consequences expecially for a child! Phoned the bakery the man I spoke to couldn't care less just told me they come from somewhere else, very disappointing! Just want to also say that everything else that I purchased from the bakery was very tasty and delicious I'm only concerned about much better care and concern for the labeling of there products no matter where Dooher's Bakery sources there Gluten-free or any other food products from because bottom line the public is buying it from Dooher's Bakery.

Felt rushed and didn't have a chance to look around before I was asked what I wanted and processed through to cash out. I may have wanted to buy more, but wasn't given the chance. Great little place, selection was a little bit limited, but that was most likely due to the time I chose to visit. I got a mini blueberry cheesecake, and it was really good. The crust was very good, and the right thickness. Plenty of blueberry jam on top. Highly reccomend.

I love everything about Dooher's Bakery! From the time I walk in , I'm greeted by a warm smile, and that inviting aroma, with something always something coming out of the oven. The breads, the donuts, the beautiful fruit breads and pastries are such a treat. It's a good hometown bakery with a high standard, which is why it is so successful. And that 9 grain makes a wicked grilled cheese. Make sure you use Empire Cheese Old Cheddar! Dooher's Bakery, you're the BEST!!

Wonderful small town bakery. The staff are always friendly, patient, and can answer almost any question you have about the product. Dooher's isn't always consistent in its quality, though. Depending on what you get you might be surprised with an oily donut, over done cookies, or squares that just won't stay together. That being said, most of the time you'll get a good quality product. It's well known, so if you want anything specific you should call ahead and place an order. Or you can try your luck and show up before noon, and it might still be in stock. There is normally a lineup in the store, so make sure you have extra time, and are OK with crowded stores.

Delicious breads, pies and donuts. If you are ever driving by or just exploring the local area, this is a must to try. Their signature and my favorite are the creme filled donuts... I always, ALWAYS eat at least 2! LOL Just remember, weekends here are usually busy, lineups out the door. Best is to order ahead if you can to ensure that you get when you get in the door, its truly worth the wait. Enjoy the eats!!!

Pre-ordered a donut cake, was asked what time i'd be there to pick it up the next day. 9-9:30am I said.. they said great, I asked specifically if it was going to be ready by then, they assured me it would be.. Got there the next day.. still had to wait in line with casual shoppers for about 15 minutes (should have an advanced queue for picking up pre-orders) and by the time I got in there now around 9:20.. I was informed my cake hadn't even been started and would be another hour.. this ended up costing me more of my time (I don't live in Campbellford) and an long overdue haircut appointment. Wasn't even offered a reduction of price or anything for the trouble.. absolutely not impressed.

When I was an omnivore, I'd always get their cream filled donuts, OMGOODNESS they are incredible! Actually, everything is incredible here. OMG, I felt silly waiting in line for about 35mins. but it was so worth it. Not only were the baked goods incredible but the people that were serving customers were very friendly and so helpful. If you have the time to wait in line this is a must visit. Tip: call at least a day in advance and place your order.

The best bakery, anywhere. Hands down. Their blueberry crumble pie was incredibly tasty, with the perfect proportions of crust, topping, and blueberries. Their doughnuts are always a delicious choice, and the bread is better than anything you'll find at any grocery. Any time in within twenty minutes of Campbellford I'll detour in just to stop here. It's so good!!

I phoned because we had a seventy dollar preorder to ask if we needs to wait in line or if they had a system for preorders. We were told we had to wait in line, we waited an hour and a half to get to the front of the line for there employees to be telling people behind us that if they phoned and paid for their preorder over the phone they would bring it right out to them. Not impressed that we were not given the option to do this.

Their name precedes them and this bakery is a must visit. It's a typical small town bakery but very high on taste and flavors. It was voted the sweetest bakery in Canada - the staff there are friendly and helpful. Their stuff sells like hotcakes- literally. Whatever we bought was awesome- stuffed donuts, bread and tarts. They are situated in main Campbellford and parking is not an issue. As for prices - we thought they were really reasonable.Im sure you will pay another 30% more for the same stuff at some other bakery. Cant wait to go back and sample other stuff from this bakery!!!

Honestly I'm not sure what all the hype is about. I placed an order via email days in advance since I was visiting from out of town, and not only was the communication terrible, but they didn't even have one of the items I had ordered when I arrived... which pretty much defeats the purpose of placing an order in advance. I could almost forgive the bad customer service if the food had held up to hype - but after trying their donuts and squares I have to say I've had far better. All in all, its a tasty treat in town but nothing special :/

Just bought several bakery items at this bake shop. The doughnuts were okay--nothing special. It was the apple pie that I am writing this review about. It was the most disgusting apple pie that I have ever try to eat. It was just a gooey filling with a few apple slices thrown in--and I mean a "few" apple slices!! There was more of the gooey filling than anything else!! I've never seen a pie like that before even the cheap chain store pies have more apples in them!! So disappointed!!

Excellent baked goods... poor service to the point of total Kaos.... no sense in going to Cash register to pick up order.... girl left me standing there to help somebody else then asked me to step aside while rang up there order. Here is a tip for customers... don’t bother standing in line. Just shout at them what you want and you get served right away. Good donuts don’t make up for poor service!
