Horrible experience, I was refused to be served at cashier because I wasn't wearing mask (I have medical exemption). I purchased food at that place few weeks before and everything was well. Manager told me that I can find products that I wanted to purchase on-line on their website, but there is no such products on Angelo's website. Do not recommend shop at that store. Staff isn't polite as well as management, poor website search and availability.

Must Must Must try their baked goods!!! Especially their breads! They are so delicious and flavourful. The breads they make here cannot be compared with other store bought breads or breads made in other grocery stores. Their breads have a nice somewhat crisp outside with a soft inside. I could just eat their bread on its own. I usually only come here for their bread but their pastries and the savory menus are delicious too.

I love this place. My whole family is Italian and my parents always took me to an Italian bakery/market as a kid. When I moved to London, Angelo’s brought back all the memories and makes me feel so at home. I love their selection of cold cuts, bread, and gelato. They have fresh raw pizza dough as well as a bunch of pre-portioned toppings if you want a quick and easy homemade pizza night.

So fortunate to live nearby. Love the fresh bread and baked goodies. The meat counter is the best I have seen outside the GTA (more cured sausages than Remark), and excellent cheese selection. I visit multiple times a week for fresh supplies.

Authentic environment. Great place if you're looking for unique stuff. The bakery is especially good for people whoa re trying to watch their sugar levels or who dont like their cakes too sweet, since they pretty much use the least amount of sugar possible and that I think is amazing. The food is good as well, although some items can be a bit pricey. Overall prices are a little too high if you're looking for regular stuff for your everyday grocery shopping.

We loved the chocolate cheesecake so much. Everyone raved about it, even my mother-in-law (who was expecting something homemade) loved it. This cake got the highest possible rating. It was amazing! However, there was a mix-up in that I was supposed to receive curbside but was forced to go in to get the order, and that was upsetting because I had my dog in the car and I don't like leaving a dog in the car alone in summer. The woman in charge of curbside actually walked back to the bakery to confirm the order was there and instead of just bringing the order out made me go in. She was right there at the bakery counter, why didn't she just bring out the order? This is the only reason for an overall 4 stars rather than 5.

Your buttercream cake is horrible! Looks nothing like the picture shown on the website height wise! The cake itself was dry! The buttercream icing was like a stick of butter! The flowers taste like pure chemicals; couldn't even eat it! It looks nice but the taste is very bad! This has been the 3rd-4th time now! Would not recommend the buttercream cake! VERY disappointed!

I ate and shopped here. The food is good and has a great selection with many options. However; The service and checkout staff are not engaged with customers. You get the feeling you are just a widget on the factory floor and not actually a human being. No engagement interest or warmth is shown. I shopped as well with my niece. I asked about a certain bread and got the same flat "do not care about you at all or your needs as a customer" response. Kenji at the final checkout saved the experience. He smiled and was engaging. 5* for Kenji. Strongly suggest staff be given lessons in customer service.

A cool place to check out for bakery lovers! I went on a Sunday evening and it was quite busy. Despite that, the service was very fast. They have a wide variety of items like cheese, breads, desserts etc so I had a fun time browsing around. I picked up some olives (very salty), bread and some dessert (almond short bread and baklava triangle which were not that good). Would reccomend stopping by if you are in the area.

I have been there in 2003-2006. I remember great pasta station that they make it with ingredients we chose and the style we wanted. They were delicious. They also had all kinds of European goodies, deli products. It was bit of Europe in Canada. Their Kringle was the best I have ever tasted. I remember taking it to my clinical supervisor and he finished the whole during our one on one supervision. And it was for at least six people.

Atmosphere is nice. Great spot to meet for coffee and they offer a beautiful breakfast. They have a grat section to buy prepared dinners ect like Lasagna or mac and cheese. Full hot lunch and supper bar. Large Tv screen nice big windows to let the light in. I find the tables could be wiped down better. Our cook and server was Steve and he was awesome!

Find it little bit expensive for one person. Good option for large portion of order. Note: Egg is not vegetarian diet. As a vegetarian person, I would never ever have egg and fish in vegetarian dish. I was going to order but eventually I found out that their is egg in your vegetarian meal.

Nice choices for specialty groceries, and an adequate hot foods selection. Had the pasta and calzone, and although they weren't anything special, the grocery section did have a great selection and great deals on certain products, such as European goods.

I would have given 5 stars but the service we received from a young lady with a bun in her hair was very rude. We came in on Saturday night with about 5 minutes to spare BEFORE closing to order hot food and got attitude and had to listen to the girl complain to another co-worker about us. If the sign says OPEN and the doors aren't locked then your job is to serve the customers not complain about us. The food on the other hand was excellent and we will definitely be back for more hot food and salads with more time to browse.

I have recently been in your restaurant and I want to say the service is absolutely horrendous first of all waiters are disrespectful and when I asked to talk to the manager they said no! Second when I spoke some Italian the cashier looked at me in surprise I honestly thought this was an Italian restaurant, third and worst of all when I ordered a cone for my ice cream it was served with her bare hands horrified I didn’t eat my ice cream!! I respect Italian restaurants with all my heart and honestly I never thought I would have to send an email to the manager regarding the service so I would like this email to be shown to the manager!

Saturday night I bought an original tiramisu $8 from the refrigerated display before they closed at 8 pm. When I got home I noticed It was FROZEN, so I couldn’t serve it to my guests. So I put it back in the fridge to thaw for the next day. But It was dry & flavourless. What a waste of money & my time to go there. You would think Saturday all food would be fresh as it’s a busy day. My sibling had a similar experience but I thought it was just a fluke. I’m also not always thrilled with the service in the bakery. (Not this Sat) One particiular female is purposefully very slow, ignores you, & is rather unnecessarily rude/impolite. I don’t get it. If someone is being polite to you be polite back. Anyhow, I’m now questioning my loyalty to this place. When all the new restaurants around open I may go there or Farmboy instead.

Not a TRUE Italian Market. I did not find the variety to be that of a true Italian market. The produce section was incredibly small and very limited options, none of which reflected a true Italian market. It's August, and I saw no Fava Beans/runner beans, no tomatoes, rapini, etc. The bakery offered a lot of "mangia cake" pastries. Again, not true to a real Italian market. Angelo's certainly has potential, but I would suggest they take a trip to Toronto and see how a market like Cataldi operates, as to me, I would not say that this market is much different than Sunripe, just a little more meat and cheese.

I know Angelo's for a long while, and I myself visit Angelo's a lot for cakes. It IS very good cakes and bakeries that never disappoint me. But, I have to say the customer service is not as good as its food. The lady who helped me at pastry was not helpful at all, asking me questions impatiently, let alone a smile on her face. I was placing an order for an 8'' customized birthday cake, the service from the lady made me feel I'm begging her to help, I paid $50 for the cake though. I went to Angelo's a lot before, but from now on, I will change my mind, and not recommend it to any of my friends.

Pretty cool place. Lots of pre-made foods in a cafeteria style layout. Instead of picking from a menu, you can see the food right infront of you. Also a pasta bar and pizza bar to customize for yourself.

Angelo's is a nice place for a self serve meal, with an interesting assortment of meal choices, and counter staff who warm the food, or bring it out if your choice is not yet made. The dining options are overpriced, but tasty. It is a nice change of pace, but I would not go often. It also functions as a grocery store, with noticeably pricey offerings.

Got all the fixings to make pizza on the barbecue. Had lunch in the store and bought quality baked goods and sausages. The produce is not so good for a store of this calibre but the overall selection of other products makes it a good place to get smaller quantities that works for me.

A friend recommended this bakery. And we loved it. They have a wide range of products ranging from local fresh produce to cheeses to desserts and sauces/condiments. There was a very helpful server there by the name of Nav, who helped us pick desserts with halal ingredients. Nav was so patient with all of our questions and we loved all of the desserts we picked. They’re so fresh and not overly sweet. Love the strawberry shortcake birthday cake too, which we had for my son’s bday. I really love their outdoor patio sitting area for a nice European/ Mediterranean ambience for coffee.

Angelo's offer the second best cakes in all of London, one of the best breakfast. The food is good, service is great, it's super clean, the Italian dishes are great. The supermarket has produce from Europe. My only complaint is the subpar coffee they serve at Angelo's. The cherry on top of that fantabulous cake is it being across the street from where I live!

Very good specialty market, I saw a lot of foods I had forgotten about over the years and it was a massive throwback to my childhood to try them all again. The bread here is fantastic, and specialty meats like guanciale are fairly priced. It does get a bit expensive if you are buying imported goods, but there's no avoiding that, so it's best to do regular groceries elsewhere and go here for the things you really want but can't find anywhere. Also, the antipasto selection is massive, definitely a good market for me.

They have a Hot Deli with plenty of ready made dishes and a Salad Bar full of fresh ingredients for making salads. These items are for take out (Pandemic) or during none pandemic times they have a sitting area for dinning. Their bakery department has a display off all kinds of bakery goodies and Pastries.

Selling overpriced stale food. Use to frequent angelos a fair bit. Will never return. Raising prices in act of covid okay. But selling over priced food. I could see if it was still stay at home order and they were not busy. But that was not case. I waited in line at bakery in back of store to buy stale old food. Never again.

We offered to buy more food and drinks but she straight up told us we wouldn't get extra time and needed to leave. Always the meal stop after Costco in London! The smell of fresh bread greats you at the entrance door! The enormous selection of baked goods will keep your mouth watering! Amazing pasta bar with more options than you can shake a stick at! Excellent selection of sandwiches plus wraps and you can have them grilled! The pizza bar is a huge hit with the family! Personal size pizza made the way you want it! Oh and the gelato! Made on site! There is only one downfall to Angelo's! That is that it is almost 3 hours away from my home!

This review is based solely on the service I received from management when trying to order a cake. Called throughout a day from 8:30 am - 6pm to order a non specialty cake for the following day. Never once got through to the cakes and pastries department. On the one attempt to bounce to customer service I spoke with a manager who told me to order on line, I informed her I didn't want to order on line and have over the passed 15 years always been able to call and order. Instead of taking my order she informed me the department was busy and if I didn't want to order on line I would be fine coming in the following morning as they always have this cake on hand. Well she was wrong!!!! Drove in from out of town to pick up the cake I wanted, nope neither size available. I explained to the girl at the counter how I spent a day trying to order but didn't once get a call answered, and when I did speak with someone by bouncing to customer service they told me not to worry they would have the cake. The girl informed me if I came back in two hours they would have one ready, I explained I was not from London and couldn't waste two hours. She spoke to the baker's in the back and told me 20 mins and they would have one ready. I wish I had gotten the girls name as she exemplified what and how customer service should be demonstrated. She solved a problem that wasn't hers. Thank you lovely lady in the head scarf, you are awesome. I made sure to thank her profusely for her help. Somehow it was too much effort for the manager to take down my details and order for the simple task of reserving a cake. This is not customer service!!!! It appears the policy within is orders can only be done on line. This policy will cost you customer's. There's a myriad of older parton's out there who aren't proficient with on line shopping. Im not one of the latter but wasn't in a position to order on line as I recently was caught out with erroneous credit card charges and spent days rectifying and ordering new cards after ordering on line from a business that was reputable.....hence my hesitancy to give out my CC info for the simple purchase of a cake. As I order this specific cake at least three to four times a year and have for 15 years I will shop it elsewhere if I experience the same dead end order when trying to order next time.

I have been shopping at Angelos for over 20 years. My family has been shopping there for almost 40 years. I recently went in to the Wonderland location to make all my usual purchases. The cashier who was serving the manager told my wife and I to go to another cashier, which we did. We left with our goods when the manger and same cashier came rushing out to our vehicle and accused us of not paying for our items. My wife and I were completely aghast when just moments before we had just been told by the very cashier that came out to go to another checkout. After almost 40 years, myself and none of my family or friends will shop there anymore. Clearly generations of patronage means nothing to them. I'm completely disgusted with the store and at how that was handled.

This place is AMAZING! I usually come to Angelo's to get food made-to-order, and cakes for special occasions. The staff are really nice, and courteous there. When I'm choosing my cake, I can get little hesitant, but they're patient, and they ask me (with a smile) whether I want a message on an edible panel made with sugar. Then they package everything carefully, and send me on my way. Super professional customer service, and that's how it's supposed to be. I do not go anywhere else as they offer not only good products, but good service as well. Also with made-to-order food, there are places to sit down and eat which is an added bonus. Love this store, and will continue to visit again.

So I arrived to the restaurant and was very confused on where go I didn’t understand the lay out, after asking for help and being shown were to order I realized that it’s an assembly line (order your food at one end pay at another and sit down) which Was very different because when I think of breakfast in a restaurant usually a server comes to us asks what’s we would like to drinks and if we are ready to order etc. For the food there wasn’t a lot of options so I got what was at the top of the list 2 eggs bacon or sausage toast (comes with home fires) a bowl of fruit and a coffee/tea. So over all I asked for over easy eggs, sausage, white toast no butter and a tea, after i got a order number and went down paid and the price wasent horrible for two meals was around 20 bucks that wasent bad I’m thinking this is gunna be great. Well then I went to get a tea and my friend got an Irish coffee well I walked around this small Khios trying to find the tea and I couldn’t see it well I went to the front cashier and asked where the tea was and she said it was behind the table asked me what kind of tea and got it so then I went back to the khios finished up and sat down. Now when I sat at the table there was nothing on it no spoons, forks, no salt, pepper or even ketchup, well in that same khios was all of them so when are food arrived l got up and got are forks and butter knifes (which I had to get another one because they were dirty with dry food on it) the thing I questioned was why are the salt, pepper and even ketchup were all in little packets why aren’t there any bottles Or salt shakers. I returned to my table and when I looked at my portions of my food I’m thinking well I now know why it was so cheap, I had maybe 1cup of homefries, 2 sausages,2 eggs and a small thing of fruit and my toast, well my toast was brown, my sausages were NOT fully cooked they were white (when usually they are supposed to be golden brown). I told the woman who served us that we both ordered white bread so she took it and had them get us the right order I didn’t say anything about the sausages because I figured maybe they cook them differently and I’ll give them a chance. I stated eating and the fruit it was good the potatoes weren’t bad I would have liked some more, my eggs were not flavourful they were just kind of bland, my tea was very bitter not like orange peco is, then I went to my sausages which I kept looking at and regretting, I finished everything else before I even took a bite of them, I’m not kidding when I say I took a small bite and they were disgusting the worst iv ever had in my life time, I could not eat them they were slimy and very unpleasant I had to force it down and sit there and drink it down with bitter tea it was the worst. After about 10 minutes trying to keep that down my friend said there was something wrong with the pineapple and asked me to try so i did and it was super sour, and I had to spit it into a napkin I then got up and said this is enough I’m talking to a manager. For the second time I went up to the cashier and asked to talk to a manger a waited another 5 minuets I saw a manger come out I said hello I was super polite letting her know that they were descusting I was trying not to be rude because I work in the food industry and I get it sometimes things get messed up but all I got was attitude from this woman telling me I’m wrong and nothings wrong with it, I felt degraded and hurt, she then asked me “well what do u want a replacement or what” I said is it possible to get something else maybe bacon she responded sure then walked away. It was the worst customer service iv ever seen. After I got it the bacon was super greasy but I gave up trying to make the best out of are experience I got my friend an orange juice (which cost over 3 bucks for a tiny thing of it) and left. Over all I was very disappointed it was my first time there and I will never go back again.

For today I can only give them one star. The girl at the deli was always super friendly and delivered excellent (!) customer service. Today, she sliced sausage for me and was instantly yelled at by some superior. Due to safety reasons she is not allowed to slice that sausage. After the superior saw me, she yelled at me as well. Any other place that sells that sausage slices it for me and what the girl did was simply good customer service. I felt like I am an idiot being yelled at by that other lady behind the counter. We spent 40$ for food and another 25$ for lunch. As a thank you, before we could eat, I am talked to by another rude woman for an inspection of my cooling bag as I was suspected of stealing from the deli. The way I was treated today was unacceptable and for sure we had receipts for everything. I have talked to the owner already but if something similar happens again, we will not return to this place. A huge disappointment for us lo year loyal customers to be treated like idiots.

Extremely disappointed in our recent experience with Angelo’s. I pre-ordered a cake for my sons baptism and they wrote down the wrong date on my order, so when we went to pick up the cake, it wasn’t there! I had specifically told the boy taking the order that the cake was for the baptism on Sunday October 6th, however he wrote down the 9th, which is a Wednesday. In order to fix their mistake they said we would have to wait a little bit and they would get another cake for us, however it took an extremely long time and by the time the cake arrived, people had left the party. They also gave us ‘free icing’ to compensate for their mistake, and only when we asked for a discount for their mistake...Their customer service is horrible, and even though they make good cakes, I’ll never be returning as this isn’t the first time dealing with mistakes they’ve made. Many people at our party also had stories of bad customer service from Angelos cake department. Also to offer ‘free icing’ does not show ownership of the mistake that was made, and they did not apologize or show any kind of remorse for the situation they put us in.

Our cashier made our day accidentally inputting our donuts wrong. 2 donuts became 700 dollars worth of donuts. She called it her worst mistake but we all had a laugh so it was all good in the end! It is nice place to visit for bukary stuff or sweet. it is also offering quick reasonable prices italian food. I have tried customized pasta and it was OK compared to its price. The market also offers other grocery stuff like cheese and spice. You may find italian stuff that might could not be found in other groceries. I have tried sweet section several times, i liked them in general. The only thing you have to consider, you might not find everything you are looking for.

Cakes were excellent but the resto service was very very disappointing. The girl serving was sooo confused and out of focus we had to keep repeating our orders. We had take out orders, before my husband could pay, a lady had to open the boxes to check the food. We thought that was absolutely insane. The whole ordering and paying process took forever! They Treat Their Customers Terribly I was in there to pick up a few things. There is one item I am most interested in there, but often pick up a few other items. To be honest, there is little there that you can't get elsewhere. Anyway, I made it up to cash and the tap on my card didn't work. The cashier (who I suspect is related to the owner/manager or is one of the owners) very curtly told me the tap did work and that I didn't know how to use it properly, to which I responded that I had been having problems with it this morning (Dec. 07, 2021) and it didn't work at two other stores and I proceeded to put it in the card reader (which did work). This unleased a tirade from the woman saying that other customers had it worked, that it worked just fine and that I was doing it wrong (does she work for the tap people or something? Why get so ruffled by the tap not working for me). Three times I repeated that it wasn't working FOR ME (I later found out that my credit card company was having technical issues and that the tap was disabled for that particular company's users this morning). I took my purchase and walked out (after paying of course) telling her that she was incredibly rude and that this was one of the reason I wouldn't be back to the store. SHE FOLLOWED ME OUT TO THE PARKING LOT yelling at me that I was rude. I went to my car and drove away. This person obviously doesn't listen and is very poor at customer service. I don't need Angelo's Italian Bakery & Market, but I'm guessing they need customers. I have already sourced another place to buy the one thing I generally go there for, so no more Angelo's. Not worth the aggravation, but someone definitely needs anger management counselling and it isn't me.

Shopping here is always a comfort. Pies, deli meat, pasta to go, they have it all. Sometimes the lines are long but it is always worth the wait. If you haven't tried the quiche then I don't know what you're doing with your life. Shop and then sit down for lunch or visa versa. Free WiFi and affordable coffee is nice too.

Always very busy but delicious. I stopped by the other day for a light lunch. Broccoli cheddar soup (soup comes with complimentary fresh made bread) and coffee. So good I wanted to lick the container! Of course, I went back for some home made Gelato - White chocolate flavour this time....heaven! Almost as good as I had in Italy. There is also a gourmet grocery store & a fresh bakery. You can buy the best fresh breads, cakes, cupcakes, pastas and more. I love this place!

I was so excited when I found a cheese that I could only ever find in Toronto before. I got 5 different flavors. We got home, and I opened them up for my guests to try. Of those 5, one was moldy, one tasted off and turned moldy within 2 days, one just tasted off. So 2 were actually edible. Disappointed, and probably the last time I'll actually step in there.

My favorite place to take my Oma for lunch. They have lots of great food to choose from and it's all fresh and some is made to order. They have an endless selection of cold cuts and breads. And is the only place in London that I can get some of my favorite European foods. Their Gelato is to die for and is made fresh in house. Does it get any better?

I'm quite happy to have such a good Italian and European market nearby. I wouldn't change much of anything, but as you'd expect from a specialty market, some items are a bit more expensive than elsewhere. The Pizza dough is great for making fresh homemade pizza with the family. The fresh buns and bread are excellent. When I'm feeling un-creative, I'll just pick up some sliced meats, cheese, buns and call it a meal (or three). When I am feeling creative though, I know I'll find nearly any European ingredient I want (Hungarian Paprika, actual imported pasta and San Marzanos, etc). One time somebody surprised me with catering from Angelos (a nice cake, tea, a sandwich), and it was just perfect. I'm glad it's back.

Do yourselves a favour with your carrot cake. Don't put orange flavouring in your icing. It ruins it,to much orange that's all I could taste.Nasty just saying. I need to tell my ma to stop buying birthday cakes for me from here. Very disappointing.

We ordered multiple platters for my daughters baby shower weeks ago and the shower took place yesterday! “Sarah” from the deli was so helpful with advice on portions etc and lovely to deal with! Everything was delivered on time and everyone raved about how great and fresh the food was. It helped make the day stress free and wonderful. This is how Angelo's lost my business. My 73 year old mother went to Angelo's tonight to return cheese she bought for me a week ago. She was returning it because the chesse would not separate and if you got a piece off you couldn't remove the paper sticking to it. My mother asked politely to speak to someone about returning it. She was directed to a women at the checkout. My mother told her the problem and the lady ask my mother rudely if she had a redact of receipt my mother replied no. The lady then grabbed the chesse out of my mothers hands and said " you bought this in may". My mother told her is was purchased last week, the lady looked accusingly at my mother and said" well how do I know if you didn't just leave it on the counter". My mother said " no but are you saying you don't stand behind your product ". The lady then said " if you don't have a receipt there is nothing I can do". My mother asked to see a manager the lady turned huffing and puffy angrily. The manager retured with the lady, my mother in turned told the manager what was wrong. The manager looked at my mother and said " if you don't have a receipt there is nothing I can do" my mother responded " so you don't stand behind your product ". The manager looked at my mother and said" if you have a problem you can call the owner". My mother was upset by now to be spoken to so rudely " so what am I supposed to do just throw it out then". The lady pointed to a garbage bin and said " the garbage is right there". My mother just left after that. Imagine a person could speak to an customer in that tone and being the rude even in front of her manager. Therefore I will be telling everyone I know and come across to let them know how Angelo's really feel about their customers. Just Disgusting

My favourite in all of London, Ontario. The bread and pastry selection is fabulous, and our once-a-monthly cold-cut dinners would not be the same without Angelo’s cold cuts that are fresh and wonderful. The Polish ham is a must as is the gold prosciutto, Hungarian smoked sausage and the selection of cheeses from all over the world. If you want to dine in, there is a decent salad bar, soups, hot food section and of course pasta and pizza. Recently, they added a fresh vegetable section to the store as well,and their dry pasta selection is wonderful too. Last but not least, their gelato is a must.

My wife and I were quite disappointed while shopping at Angelo's today. In the past we have always experienced friendly, pleasant service to accompany the extensive and high-quality food selection available there. Today's visit was as per usual until we encountered a problem at the checkout. When the cashier went to ring in a package of Portuguese Custard Tarts which had a sticker price of $1.39 on it, the purchase came up as $6.49 and we were told that the price shown on the package was incorrect. The cashier actually started to peel off the $1.39 label until we said that the $1.39 was the price shown and we felt that this amount was what we should have to pay. The cashier (whose name tag indicated that she was "Head of Cash") said she couldn't do that without the approval of a manager and went to get one. The manager did not seem pleased with us or with the mistake in pricing and told us (abruptly and reluctantly) that he would allow the $1.39 price but only for one package. Since we were buying only one package anyway that was agreeable to us. Both my wife and I felt, however, that we had been made to feel that it was OUR fault that the package had been incorrectly priced and we shouldn't have expected the store to honour the price shown on the package. I resent this attitude from Angelo's since it was their staff who put the wrong price on the package and we had nothing to do with it!

Great little Italian store with a lot of delicious food! The quiche and pasta are delicious and feels like you're eating from a restaurant! The baked goods such as the cupcakes, cookies and the eclairs are exquisite! For a grocery store, they sure do sell restaurant quality food. I was pleasantly surprised at how good their baked goods tasted, as usually the baked goods from a grocery store tastes like plastic. The customer service is great too, as they're always smiling and asking if you need any help. Highly recommended!

BtW a REFUNDED payment means the payment went through and was returned to me...twice.

I just learned that Angelo's bakery and deli in London Ontario DOES discriminate against people not wearing masks. They told me they dont accept exemptions and refused to serve me. If this type of thing upsets you then it may be incentive for you not to offer them business. Personally i will not be setting foot in one of their establishments ever again.

This place has the most amazing pasta that they make right in front of you. I always get the gnocchi with a blend of pesto and blush and whatever they recommend to put in and it always tastes amazing. They also serve complimentary bread and butter with any meal. The price is really good, less than $10 for pasta unless you want to really amp up add ins. The only holdup is if it’s busy the service isn’t always the most organized, you kind of have to figure out where you are in line (because there’s not an actual line) and not let people cut in front of you. But the pasta is still very much worth it and the service is always friendly.

Very nice staff and good food. Cashiers are so friendly. However if you're buying hot food make sure one of the guys helps you. There's a middle eastern girl there that only fills up the containers half way. If you get her, keep an eye on what's she's doing and don't be afraid to tell her not to skimp. She literally counts the potatoes going into the container when everyone else piles it on.

I will not write anything special because I do not need to waste more time than I lost going to Angelos this time. Very bad experience with Italian custard with fresh fruit. The kiwi was not ready and it was hard to bite, (unpleasant sensation in the middle of a cake), the flavor of synthetic cream and pre-made box dough was enough. Unfortunately Angelos is not the same as before.

I ordered an Italian custard cake for a birthday. Because my kids don't like kiwis I asked them to be removed from the top. This was done. I also asked that the top be fully coveted with strawberries and paid extra . This was not done. I was told extra fruit was added inside...not true...I 3as disappointed in the filling. I don't eat artificial cream so asked for whipping cream on the outside instead. I paid extra and it was done...however they also removed the custard filling and put a very small amount of whipping cream instead...not at all the same as with the custard. When I complained I was told that I could leave the cake. No apologies. I asked if the top could be filled with strawberries like I paid for and said I would come back later to pick it up and was told there would be another charge to do this...even though I had already paid for this previously! In the end I took the cake but I was very very disappointed in both quality and service. Beware . Double and triple check and take photos of what you want and you ordered. I would suggest not paying until pick up day if possible. Things have changed at Angelo's...sadly as a result of this experience will never order another cake here again.

As a long time customer I have noticed a few things changing over the years like the amount of cheese on the garlic bread and pizzas seem less and less each time and some pastries appear smaller then they once were.

I’m only giving this 3 stars because when I went to pick up the cake at my specified time it wasn’t ready as I could see them rushing to put the writing on which was not done well and I did not want or ask for a smiley face on the cake even if the sentiment was there. We got our wedding cake from here which is why I came back and honestly the cake did taste fantastic but the small details matter as well. Thank you for the cake, delicious but I recommend not rushing the writing next time as it was very disappointing to open the party.

This bakery never disappoints every time I go there. I usually get a new pastry to try with their amazing coffee from their cafeteria and it's always delicious. I got the blueberry lemon cake for my birthday and it was rich in flavors, light, and the frosting was thick and the sweetness was just right. There was no grainy sugar feeling that some cakes have. Couldn't even give chocolate cake away to our departing guests. Having witnessed my inlaws love of all things sweet, I took this as a serious condemnation of the product. My family went here because of a positive review by someone else. We all got the lasagna and we asked for extra sauce. When adding extra sauce one of the labelled signs fell into the sauce, the server tried to remove it and it kept falling back in. After successfully removing it she added a scoop of sauce to my family members plate. We commented on that being absolutely disgusting and if she was going to change it out, her comment was “No I am not changing it, it’s fine”. Needless to say our family won’t be going back even again.

I was surprised to see how large their store actually was when I first visited this place. I am not too sure about the grocery products they sell here but I do come here often for their pasta bar. If you are looking for good, fresh and affordable pasta made right in front of you, this is the place. I bought a vegan chocolate cake today which I think is of bitter taste rather than sweet like actual chocolate. It is just taste similar to the cakes available in grocery stores and no reason to spend 4 times the money in this bakery store. There is no chocolate filling inside the soft bread and only the cream is spreaded all over. It ruined the birthday celebration. So. I don’t recommend this bakery shop for vegan cakes if you are actually looking for a chocolate flavour eggless pastries and cakes. Hope this helps!

This place is really cute and looks like a really nice spot to do some grocery shopping. We came here for breakfast, the food was a little disappointing though. Eggs Benedict were not bad, not great. The English muffins were soggy and not toasted and overall the dish was a little bland, but the potatoes were ok, so overall a medium dish.

I have mixed feelings about the food here. If you like deli meats, cheeses and artisan breads, theres a lot of quality products to choose from and I recommend trying it. But, there's been times where the cookies and other sweets I've purchased were just okay in taste, for example lacking a buttery flavor for shortbread cookies or a thin chocolate used as a coating instead of something thicker and more chocolatey. Or I've had the lasagna which was also okay tasting the first day, but when reheated as leftovers, did not taste good at all.

If you’re looking to add a touch of authenticity to your party skip this place. We ordered a sfoglia cake and pastries for a recent celebration. Their ‘fresh puff pastry’ was tough and chewy, not light and flakey like traditional sfoglia cakes. Embarrassingly, we had to serve this with a knife and fork as no one could get through the layers! We enjoy this traditional cake for every special event in our family. Their recipe is either way off, or the cake sold to us was days old. I’ve had 2-3 day old leftovers that had a better texture than this. Overall, a horribly disappointing experience.

I am consistently disappointed with the temperature of the food in the hot food table. Even when they reheat the food in the microwave it isisn't long enough to make it hot. When I am buying hot food I expect it to be hot. It's not the first time, it makes me feel sick eating food that is barely lukewarm. Almost on the verge of cold. Sometimes I wonder how they could pass the dine safe program.

Usually a good place to eat. But yesterday had a bad experience. The cashier was rude that too over a piece of bag that was needed to carry sauce that was bought from their store. You cant treat other people like this. Also the unicorn cake we ordered was good looking but not very good tasting. Thankfully it was not a party or it would have been embarrassing to serve it. Three stars are only because of our previous good experiences.

Angelo's capitalizes on the "older generation" by offering a feel good, family friendly, local market style atmosphere but if you are planning to shop there then you'll be paying a premium for that atmosphere. Angelo's offers a good selection of international foods you don't find in regular grocery stores but their prices on the regular items are not competitive at all. Hoping that the dine in breakfast section would make up for the grocery prices i ordered an Eggs Benedict and was surprised to find out that $7.69 only buys you an English muffin, 2 thin slices of ham, 2 eggs, 2 slices of orange garnish and 7 home fries...yes 7 When i get to the counter i then find that the breakfast does not include a coffee so add $1.69 for a regular mug size coffee and then to top it all off the coffee is $.80 for a refill.... who charges for a refill nowadays! I would have given this review a 1 star but i have to admit that the breakfast i was served was cooked well and did taste nice but considering Angelo's can source all of the breakfast items from their own stock, i was expecting a much better deal than $10.60 for a simple breakfast. When i asked about the wifi i was pointed to a tiny little card stuck on the coffee cart advising to use a password i had already tried so i just used my own data instead of asking one of the staff who clearly had no knowledge other than the plastic card. While writing this review i had to stop several times because of the loud, obnoxious conversations being had by the patrons. Due to Angelo's attracting and older clientele, the conversations are heavily opinionated and it's not easy listening to a collection of retiree's righting all of the worlds problems over breakfast

Went in today for coffee and a snack. Saw some fruit loaves on sale for $2.99 (reg $4.29). There were all sorts of loaves lying on the table, so it was hard to know exactly which was on sale, so I assumed all were. I was charged $4.29 and upon questioning this, I was referred to the manager (who also turned out to be the owner). He was quite brusque and offhand and said it was my fault that I had chosen the wrong loaf! The sign was very misleading, but I found his attitude unhelpful to say the least. I still like this bakery, but more careful labelling of sale items would certainly help, as would a manager with a bit more understanding.

I visited Angelo’s Bakery last Sunday and during check out procedure I was overcharged twice. Specifically, for the loaf of sun-dried tomato – walnut bread normally priced at $5.25 I was charged over $13. This amount went through the register and it was required to pay. When I pointed out to the cashier, she corrected the amount but entered wrong number again, which was also higher, as the wrong item description was entered one more time. I pointed it out again, so she tried to find the right product code. In the meantime, the supervisor lady came by and she helped her to find the right product code and price. I also mentioned to the supervisor that due to the overcharge entered even twice the product should be at least discounted. The supervisor lady refused the request saying the cashier has a right to make a mistake and she has a right to be confused due to large number of customers served. I requested to talk to the manager saying that this approach is absolutely unacceptable, and customer cannot pay for any cashier mistakes. Cashier always can make a mistake, but the store needs to deal with this mistake properly as well – and the common practice would be to give at least the discount on the product which cost nota bene less than $10, like the other Canadian grocery stores do. Manager came over in about 2 minutes, and first thing he did, he turn his back to me, talking to the supervisor for about a minute. I asked him perhaps he could turn his face to me and talk to me first. Then, I described what happened asking if he can give me a discount. He replied bluntly it will not be any discounts, and if I want the discount I can go to another store. Not even single word of apology for the mistake or simple “I am sorry” from the manager or the supervisor. I was stunned for a moment by insolence and rude behavior of the people who were supposed to deal with the customer at least with the polite manner. People, who had no idea about customer appreciation, respect, and fundamental principles of common curtesy. I have to mention that it was a second time I experienced rude behavior from the same manager also about product overcharge. First time I decided to let it go. But after second time I decided to make up the review – so all Angelo’s customers know what to expect from the management – be lucky if you get your money back in the case of overcharge and always check your receipt if you paid the right price – as the cashier due to his/her lack of training or inexperience may charge you triple product price. Do not bother with talking to the supervisor or manager as – they will not help you. I have been a loyal Angelo’s customer for about 30 years and the personnel of the store was always helpful, kind, and polite – excluding the supervisor and manager mentioned above. Every product is most of times a great quality. The store has its own unique “spirit” and I loved to shop in there or have a lunch in the restaurant. After the last incident I was really inclined not to visit the Angelo’s anymore, but then I realized that 2 people should not spoil the image of the whole place that due to the effort of whole team of other people is otherwise a great one. Unless other unexpected and unpleasant events come up. Hopefully not. From my perspective I would advise the owners to take a close look at the supervisor and manager mentioned above and draw relevant consequences. These people are not qualified to hold positions that require customer skills. These are just not the skills – it is the attitude and personal character – that should prevent this type of people from holding their positions – perhaps they can be good as a cheap work force or janitors – but NOT supervisor or manager as proven. Strongly recommended. I do not want to downgrade overall rating of the store to the minimum, as all other good factors have to be considered too. Please fix the specific management issue, as of currently it is outrageous and unacceptable.

Customer for the last 25yrs. I have always enjoyed going to Angelos because they had authentic Italian food. The deli sucks, the meat is paper thin even after several times asking for regular or thicker slices. If I am paying by weight, I’m not sure why they can’t provide the customer with a thicker slice as requested. Extremely disappointed and likely my last visit. Suggestion, listen to the customers nobody wants paper thin see through meat.

Every time I am in London we have to stop here. I like having my pasta made fresh to order right in front of me. I drove an hour just to pick up a birthday cake because it is so delicious. Raspberries with cream, so worth the drive.

Beautiful place. Ferroro cake wasn't quite what I expected but it was still good. The topping was creamy, unlike the crunchy outer shell of a Ferrero and though there were actual hazelnuts in it, it lacked the hazelnut spread/nutella sort of taste I expected. Very rich and creamy chocolate cake, nothing to dislike but not what i expected.

It was my very first visit!!! What an amazing selection of EVERYTHING!!! The mixed berry cheesecake made me weak in the knees...lol And the peanut butter chocolate tore was SINFUL!!! Really displeased with the response received from an Angelos "manager" when I asked why staff are not wearing masks while handling food and interacting with people in close proximity. Was told "they don't have to...it hasn't been mandated". In such a physically tight environment I would think some social conscience and responsibility is necessary. Covid gets passed even when carriers are asymptomatic! Won't be shopping there for a long while!

Love the bread and lunch meat from here! Cakes are great too... try the mocha banana cake it's delicious. I'm giving 3 stars because everytime I have been recently the staff are so rude. I was waiting for a sandwich from the hot bar and the lady completely ignored me and went to people who were in line way after me... even after I said I was waiting next. I didnt get surved until the supervisor came out and I told him I'd been skipped over. He was very friendly and apologetic.

I went to buy a birthday cake so I choose a pink and white my favorite color so the employee ask if I want something to wrote on it an I say yes so I gave her the name she the took at the back and I was wondering what would take her so long like 10 minutes when she came out with she put a pink bow on it with a surprise I love it I couldn't thank her enough because I wanted birthday to feel special and I got what I wanted. I DO recommend this remarkable bakery where you may find some of the best cakes ever tasted for any special occasion. I bought a cake for my wife - as a surprise for her birthday -, and she loved so much! The due care they apply in making a cake regarding the thickness and consistency of each layer, allied to the explosion of flavour in each bite, and the way they garnish very kindly and delicately each detail, being customized or not, is extraordinary. The batter is very well balanced, not so wet and not dry. Hence, Angelo’s Italian Bakery can be easily seen as a very elegant, cozy, attractive environment for all kinds of customers, tastes, and dreams. A perfect place for you like a layman like me, to please your kid or wife with a remarkable, pleasant, and guaranteed surprise! The associates are very much hard-working, intrepid, elegant, and loyal in assisting us (customers). This superb bakery deserves so many Michelin stars!

First time visit...Angelo's came well-recommended so I took a friend out for a quick Saturday night supper before going to the theatre...my vegetable lasagna was obviously from frozen as the inside of it was ice cold. My friend ordered a hot sandwich...again, it was cold and the meat was undercooked. Add a can of soda and a bottle of water to this and the bill was almost $25. Not impressed. Their deli/bakery is their selling point, for sure...good stock and, having lived in Europe, I can attest to the authenticity of much of the product line. Staff seems somewhat stressed and unhappy but they warm up once you get past the initial cold shoulder. Overall, Angelo's is good but it could be amazing with some real effort by management to tweak the niggling issues and realize the potential here.

Ordered a steamer, a cafe mocha and a coffee. They gave us a number for the steamer and mocha. After 15 minutes of watching our empty cups sitting beside the cappuccino machine, I approached the employee who had been serving other customers gelato. He politely asked How can I help you. I said, you could make our drinks. He then proceeded to pull out an instruction manual and solicited help from another employee and the manager for the next 10 minutes... to make a steamer. (Literally, just hot frothy milk). They apologized for the wait and handed us our drinks.... after nearly half an hour of waiting. If you’re going to run a business, you might want to train your employees how to make the items on your menu. Just a thought.

What started out as a beautiful morning quickly turned into a chaotic disaster. My family and I came to Angelos for breakfast, and I can say that honestly we always run in to issues when coming here, but we give it a second chance nonetheless. On this morning however, my sister had ordered an egg Benedict, her usual, and it came out soggy, the eggs were undercooked and she honestly couldn’t even force herself to eat it despite being so hungry. I told her to try to change her plate and just order a sunny side up (since it’s hard to mess that up) which I thought would be no hassle as it usually is, but instead the employee she was speaking with (Elsy) made it seem like she was asking her to perform surgery. In a rather aggressive tone, she said that there was no way that she could do that and that their eggs Benedict was great like all the food here. She then started scraping the food off my plate that my sister handed her in a sarcastic way and said “here I can change your plate if you want”. I was completely shocked because I had never experienced costumer service like this before. Also I’d like to note that my little sister is 15 years old, and she was on the verge of crying because this older lady had clearly lost her temper on occasion of a bad day or whoever had hurt her that day. We will never be returning to Angelos or giving it a third chance.

Had a very stressful and unprofessional experience with the bakery/ordering of a custom cake for the Easter weekend. At first they lost the order. Once found they had no record of payment. It took them an extremely long time to locate the cake on pickup date. The cake looks mediocre and it cost $20 dollars for the "customization". I won't order here again and would not recommend it to others. I also would not recommend ordering in advance as there seems to be little to no organization of the orders and tracking of the orders.

AMAZING desserts, I come from across town just for a slice of cheesecake when I'm feeling down! The prices are a bit high but definitely worth it. The only issue is that when it's busy the dessert counter is hectic and hard to see all the options, particularly with Covid distancing in place

I was craving good italian lasagna and decided to try Angelo's. The piece was a half slice for 7 dollars. And unfortunately, it isn't very good. It tasted similar to the lasagna you get frozen from the grocery store. I also tried their veal parmigiana and it tasted even worse. Angelo has always remind me of home! The staff is friendly the products are fresh and the bakery is one of the best in the city. The Kringle reminds of being a little kid and going to the old Chapman’s bakery on Dundas with my father. They are also incredibly honest. My wallet fell out of pocket while living the store. They found it, tracked me down, and returned it. If honesty and integrity matter too you when looking to support a local business then don’t look any further then Angelo’s! This is a must stop shop place for people visiting London, living in London, and those that want to support local!

After several years of buying the Kringle Almond, I must say that unfortunately they damaged the quality completely. Now it is simply made from a common bread full of raisins, little almond and lots of sugar. Something that was one of Angelo's star products, is no more.
