My husband and I typically walk to Julia's with one of our dogs almost weekly for an amazing hot drink and usually a sweet treat. Today, we picked up the hazelnut chocolate brownie which was so good, that I just had to stop eating it to write this review... No joke. I love knowing that the treats at Julia's are also healthier without any of the nasty processed stuff. Best of both worlds! I totally recommend this spot! Here's a picture of our half-eaten brownie. LOL!

This custom strawberry cake was so delicious!! Julia was the most accommodating when it came to the process of finding a cake that fits all of our food restrictions! She allowed us to customize a cake that was sugar-free, gluten-free, and almond-free which was just splendid!! She was also super flexible with the sweetness level of the cake and the flavour/fillings! The process of setting up this order was just a dream and Julia never failed to deliver (at such a great price as well!). She made our day extra special! Thank you so much, Julia and staff!!

I only eat gluten free/dairy free foods. I was excited to try this bakery especially because of the rave reviews but here is my honest review: What you see on the website won't all be at the bakery. There were about 5 cookies, 1 cupcake, 1 brownie, lemon square, and 1 bagel (I might have missed something but the selection was quite sparse from what I'm used to at other bakeries) We got the swirl brownie, and a cupcake. My mom hated the swirl brownie. She refused to eat more than the first bite so I ate the rest. I actually didn't mind it. It wasn't the best brownie I've had but wasn't bad considering its a keto brownie! The cupcake on the other hand was the worst cupcake I've ever had. The icing was the weirdest texture and super super sweet. I have quite the sweet tooth, and I had to remove the icing. It also just didn't taste anything like icing. The cake itself wasn't horrible but wasn't good either. To wrap this up: I have heard their lattes are good and the lemon square (I haven't tried either) some ppl said the cookies are good but I can't really confirm that. So personally I would try a cookie and a drink when going. But because of this experience being overall not good and me needing a ride to get there. I won't be going back.

Great place to visit if you have a sweet tooth but are trying to eat healthy. Everything is vegan and gluten/dairy/processed sugar free. I highly recommend the golden tumeric latte too.

Driven by here a few times and it looks like the cutest cafe so had to try it. I ordered the iced chai masala latte with almond milk and a butter cookie. The latte was good but I usually take cream with my caffeinated drinks so something was missing for me, but the butter cookie was melt-in-your-mouth amazing!

This is my families go to Gluten-free bakery in the GTA. For any newbies, our favourite treats are the chocolate cashew cookies, and the hazelnut cookies. Julia and her team always go the extra mile with our orders. They have a great online ordering system and delivery service (if you need). Street parking is available at all times. We love JJK! A huge thank you to the entire JJK team!

Awful food and the owners unfortunately do not live up to its "joyful" namesake. Gluten-free and vegan can taste good - unfortunately JJK's offerings are akin to eating while in the desert and seeing a mirage of good food. The mirage is a pure facade, it tastes like sand. Also the owners pride themselves on the popular "buy local" movement, yet they are rude and ignore the mom and pop shops that are their neighbours. It's a shame to see a young company act in such fashion. PLUS: Their coffee is great. Even BIGGER PLUS: you can go to Firebat's Oakville location and get the coffee beans from a true promoter of small businesses as opposed to dealing with JJK. NEGATIVES: most of everything else. Wanted to get behind this company as it is close by; but they make it very difficult. TL/DR: Support local businesses who actually support other small businesses, not one who produces low quality food and turns their nose up to their neighbours. Better coffee nearby (Rainbow Cafe, for example).

After seeing all of the positive reviews about this bakery I decided to try it out for the first time and purchased a blueberry cheesecake for my mother's birthday. The online ordering and pickup process with easy and seamless plus the employee in the store was super informal and helpful. The cake itself was not edible whatsoever, my poor mother and the rest of my family, including myself ended up feeling ill after only taking a few bites and we ended up having to throw out the cake. When I tried contacting the store via the email they have on their website I heard nothing back for multiple days, I then tried calling multiple times over the next week and no one would pick up the phone. I left multiple voicemails explaining my situation as well with a call back number and I heard absolutely nothing. After a week straight of no communication back I ended up going in person to try to resolve the situation. When I went in the girl working was super understanding of my situation and then reached out to the owner of the store to see if she was able to give me a refund or a store credit. From my understanding the owner said that she wasn't able to give me a refund or even a store credit despite me explaining that their product physically made my whole family feel sick and unwell. The girl who was working in the store offered to give me some goods on the house which ended up only being 2 cookies that we never ate because we were scared to, but I am so disappointed in my experience. I'm normally not the type of person to leave nasty reviews but my overall experience with this place has left me angry, and quite honestly appalled. As an owner of an establishment, hearing feedback from customers about your products should be a priority, but I honestly felt ignored and invalidated about my experience and got no apology whatsoever. Definitely will not purchasing from this establishment again.

The order came at that time I selected and it was perfect. I ordered the keto options, the frosted brownie, sammies and the cinnamon sugar donuts. They came in looking the same as on the website. As someone who doesn’t eat sugar those were definitely very sweet and tasted amazing. They are all quite crumbly as expected but I love them. I wish I got more sammies actually. What I really want to say is thank you. I have celiacs, lactose intolerance and I need to watch my sugar now too, and it’s been very hard. Your food was not just tasty but I felt great. It’s not easy for me to find food that doesn’t give me any issues. You made my day and will make my birthday as I’m planning on ordering one of your cakes in April. I appreciate what you’re doing very much. ♥️

This is the first time that I have ordered from Julia's Joyful Kitchen and boy was it Joyful!!! I ordered a cotton candy cake and it was spectacular!! The icing melts in your mouth and the cake was moist and absolutely delicious!! Our daughter has celiac disease so Julia's Joyful Kitchen is now my go-to place!!I 100% recommend and I will be retuning for all our birthday cakes- and other things too!!!

Our friend got this cake for her birthday, being vegan we were very excited about a dark chocolate cheesecake ( which was recommended as their best seller). Unanimously we all spit it out at the same time. The worst cake I've ever had. We threw the whole thing out, waste of $60.

Quaint vegan cafe in north Oakville. Plenty of gluten free vegan options to choose from, all of which seem to skew towards the healthier end of the spectrum. The thumbprint cookie is my favourite, it is the perfect amount of sweet, and I just love the way it melts in my mouth. Atmosphere is clean and modern, and the space is perfect for a coffee date. They have a nice espresso machine with a full menu of hot beverages from turmeric and matcha lattes to everything inbetween. They do have some prepared lunch options in the fridge if you are in a pinch, but otherwise it is mainly a bakery/coffee house.

Staff is super friendly and the cookies are delicious! So flavourful and too sweet! I plan to frequent here often! Gluten free, dairy free, soy free and processed sugar free with tons of flavour! I had a capucino with coconut milk, tastes like a regular capucino without the pain and regret afterwards! The oatmeal cookie had big plump raisins that added a natural sweetness to the cookie. The everything cookie, everything in makes it the ultimate cookie! Soft and most with chocolate! I strongly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a place to enjoy a coffee and treat. It's worth the drive for sure!

I fell upon this little espresso bar per say by mistake!! This place is in Oakville around Dundas and Neyagawa . While waiting for the kids to finish their haircuts I decided to walk around and check out the area. Walked up to window and started to look through their menu. So many delightful desserts coffees and teas. I ordered a Tumeric latte and an Americano for the wife and couldn't walk away without a little treat for myself so I grabbed a almond butter cookie. Store was closed for I side sitting but you could take advantage of sitting outside to enjoy your purchase. Would recommend this place if your looking for a coffee or a little treat.

I ordered 2 cakes and picked them up just last Friday to serve over the weekend to my family; the Matcha Chocolate Cheesecake and Keto Brownie Cake. To get straight to the point, the cakes were almost inedible. My whole family has a dairy and gluten allergy, so we are used to eating food and desserts that are vegan and gluten-free, that should tell you just how bad these cakes were. They looked absolutely beautiful but were just such a bad flavor. I found this bakery and saw such positive reviews, so it was utterly disappointing that they were so distasteful. The service was good, along with covid protocols, but that's about all I can say that's positive. In my opinion, the cakes were very overpriced and very unsatisfying.
