Hard to find really great cupcakes and other baked goods in Oakville that is also a peanut and tree nut free facility!! Definitely a plus for someone like me who has severe allergies to tree nuts! I have always been greeted with kindness! And the staff are super knowledgeable whenever I had specific questions! I think the cupcakes in specific are super classy looking and taste fantastic!! Even the boxes are beautiful - especially if you are in a rush and need to pick up something for an event or any other occasion! I’ve been in that situation a handful of times and it’s always easy to drop by and pick up some beautiful desserts! My favourite has to be the red velvet! Definitely something I think you must stop by and try out!

I first experienced the great cupcakes from Cupid's because a friend brought some to our house. Devoured them then, and devour them now. I now choose them as a gift to take to referring dentists. They all love them too! From pies to cookies, including delicious ones with my custom office logo on them, Cupid's offers a wide array of nut-free awesomeness! I’d like to be objective so here goes. Tried the birthday cake and the double chocolate layer cakes. I would highly recommend the chocolate cake but as for the vanilla birthday cake it had an usual taste to it. I wouldn’t try that again. For a gourmet place I feel a little more can be done to bring it up to 4 stars. Shout out to the lady working there she is very kind!

I was really hoping to order cupcakes - went online to order but could not find a way put all what I needed there. Called and left a message and noone called back. Called again today, went through putting all my order on the phone (finally!). They Asked me for a credit card number for a deposit - fair - but I said I was not a fan. I am Told there is no other way, I said fine and as I get my credit card out to finalize the order, they decided to route me to the online order anyway and just hung up! Clearly a misunderstanding; I call back to get the order done and guess what, they decide to not pick up. I can keep calling back, or go and put my order in person but I take a step back and ask myself why if they make it so hard for me to order cupcakes. I went back online to try to get my order, but back to square one - no way for me to specify what I need there! I am all for supporting small business but I believe this goes both ways. I hope this helps them learn to work better with their customers and not hang up the phone as someone is getting their credit card out. Respect goes a long way! Also, for COVID (?) they could NOT provide half dozen boxes and said I would need to split them myself - as in me touching each one before handing out as opposed to sealed boxes handed to each group. I was hoping we are all responsible and do our best to provide a safe way to deliver goods and services. I asked why and I was not given a good explanation. I hope they do have one!

I WAS a HUGE Cupids fan. My bestie would get me cupcakes from the shop for my Birthday and we often went just because we wanted them. I participated in the pie testing event; it was fantastic. Something has drastically changed. The cupcakes are always dry now. They taste sweet and like nothing else. The key lime pie has globs of cream cheese in it. I was going to give them one more shot...I contacted them regarding an $80.00 cake for my 40th. The response was not customer service oriented. I was told the only way for me to try the cake/frosting combo I want was to buy the flavor as cupcakes. When I mentioned they don't offer all combinations as cupcakes my email was ignored. I was a loyal supporter for years. I continued to buy even with dry cupcakes. I cannot support any longer. You do not want my $200.00 order I understand. I am going to Kellys Bake Shoppe in Burlington instead. One FRESH cake and two dozen FRESH cupcakes coming up! Cupids you need to take negative reviews to heart. You seem to brush them off. Customer support will fade without fantastic customer service.

Another reviewer stated how hard it is to find a good bakery in oakville...look no further. Products tried: Cookies - great Banana bread - good, a little dry. But huge Sour cream coffee cake - great and huge Key lime pie - competition worthy. If you dont try it you really are missing out on something special. Staff are super nice and helpful. Best of all, Not overpriced like most bakeries in oakville.

Recently bought the coconut cream pie. OMG the best pie ever!! And still friendly service. Love that we have such a terrific bakery in our neighborhood! Ordered several dozen cupcakes for mother in law’s birthday party. Friendly service and our order was ready on pick up day. The cupcakes were beautiful to look at and the three flavours we ordered were all fresh and yummy. Would definitely use them again or pop in for a treat too! The store itself also has some other goodies for sale if your sweet tooth is calling or shouting at you ????

Staff are very nice Owner thinks she is in a fashion show not a bakery.The best cupcakes? are you kidding? me and my wife shop here early afternoon durring our walk for a few years because no other shop around walking distance. it does taste better then market cupcakes but no-ware near the best not even close. last year you could smell how clean this place was when you walk in in the morning but since the renovation they seem to give up on the cleanliness. after the cleanliness issue started i rather go to Metro instead.

We ordered a birthday cake from Cupid's as a "test" for our engagement party where we were looking to order a 6 inch cake and approximately 100 cupcakes. The birthday cake we ordered was a 6 inch cake vanilla bean with oero in between the layers and vanilla buttercream. The cake was HORRIBLE and I am so thankful we tried it. It was incredibly sweet (I understand the Oero frosting but the cake itself was full of sugar) and DRY. We also bought 2 mini triple chocolate cupcakes because we were considering red velvet/vanilla/choco cupcakes for the engagement and they were sold out of everything except for lemon and chocolate. It literally felt like we were eating crumbs or ashes...it was dry and crumbly. The frosting was also hard and not edible but it could be because those were stale cupcakes baked in the AM and we bought them at 5:30pm (goes to show that their cupcakes cannot survive for a party). When I emailed the location, it was clear that they could care less however they did confirm it is a dense cake. For those ordering, BEWARE "Some of our frostings are sweeter then others and our cakes are a more dense cake then "airy" like a cake mix". As an FYI to Cupid's...your cakes are dense and DRY...there are moist, dense cakes that are not like cake mix. Our issue was not the density but the fact that it was dry inside and overly sweet. Would never recommend this bakery and highly recommend you try before buying for any of your special occasions.

Ordered a cake here for my sister’s baby shower and it was such a hit! The lemon cake was subtle and moist and it paired beautifully with the raspberry icing. The icing was a fan favourite! Delicious and rich raspberry flavour. Can’t wait to go back!!

I've purchased from cupid's a number of times over the years and they've consistently been the best! The cupcakes are moist and the icing isn't make-your-teeth-hurt sweet. The people working there are always friendly and smiling, and they've never missed with their recommendations. I've used them for a few different events (birthdays mostly) and they always do their best to make it feel special somehow. Strongly recommend the triple chocolate. Only problem is that they run out of the best ones, so get there early!

Their cupcakes are THE best I've ever had and I am not easy to please when it comes to cake. I've tried cupcakes from other bake shops, but no one comes close to Cupid's! These are not your average, run of the mill cupcakes. They are moist, dense (in a good way) and full of flavour! Princess and Commintment are my personal favourites. Just talking about their cupcakes makes me want to drive two hours to go get a dozen for myself. I highly recommend Cupid's cupcakes to anyone!

A little disappointed. Called on April 22nd to order a gender reveal cake. The lady who answered wasn't very friendly but I still placed my order. Fast forward to today April 24th. I picked up the cake in excitement as we were doing the reveal at work. The lady who served me was very pleasant and I ordered an additional half dozen princess cupcakes. The cake icing was very moist and delicious which is sad because the vanilla cake was dry. Pretty much $50 down the drain. The cupcakes were dry as well and reading the reviews I should have done my research before ordering.

Cute store that's nicely decorated that has an upscale vibe, with prices in line with that. They have an interesting selection of cupcake flavours and an assortment of baked goods. We bought a half dozen to try. As you can see from the pictures they are nice, but nothing wowing. They tasted very good both icing and cake, but again nothing wowing. Still deserve a solid 4 stars. Easy parking in the plaza lot, but the plaza itself is out of the way.

Just want to add that a few of their cupcakes are good, the Princess and Prince especially were not dry. However, their red velvet cupcakes were extremely dry and unappetizing (I had eaten this at 12pm, so this cupcake, if made fresh, couldn't have been more than 6/7 hours old depending on when they make them in the morning).

Not sure why they are quite a bit of 1 star reviews. I live close to this bakery and have never ever had an issue. The cupcakes are always amazing, so tasty, a little pricey but considering how good they are. It's worth it. My favourite thing they have there and what I suggest you get are the vanilla bean cookies. They are cheap and honestly the best cookies I've ever had. Cannot stop eating them. They are so good! Remember everyone that people only ever review when they have a bad experience. So these few bad reviews are nothing compared to how many satisfied customers they have.

I purchased 6 mini cupcakes and let’s start that they don’t feel fresh ! The minis are dry and the icing is dry and flaky they feel old not made today . As a business owner I know I would have to re vemp my recipe because it’s not good based on a lot of costumer feedback. How can you keep serving dry bad recipe cupcakes. When I think of a cupcake I think of a moist delicious soft and fresh icing . What’s going on here ? Might as well closed down if you have giving up on your business.

I bought cupcakes today and found that the quality had changed. In the past Cupids Cupcakes had the best desserts in town. The cupcakes I bought today were dry and noticed the recipe had changed. Normally the Cupcakes are great and I'd give them five star review. Hoping it improves next time.

Very disappointing especially since they label themselves as a gourmet bakery. Cupcakes are really not better than a standard grocery store offering, but considerably more pricey. Cupcakes are are dry and frosting is hard and crystalized as the sugar is not fully disolved. All cakes taste the same sugary and are too sweet. Have not tried the pies and do not wish to do so as I do not see a commitment to quality. This bakery is over rated and over priced.

Great cupcakes!! I have been buying their cupcakes for the last 3 years. The cupcakes are awesome! I ordered a birthday cake for my mom on January. It was very pretty to look at. But the icing was really hard -it crumbled apart when cutting into slices. And it was too sweet. The cake was DENSE and dry... My family likes soft and moist cakes. I would rate 5 stars for the cupcakes and 1 star for the cake (averaged out to 3 stars).

Horrible experience with Cupids Cupcakes. I had my child's birthday party this past weekend and I have been playing the party for months I originally sent this bakery an email in March to put my order in. I need 30 cupcakes but wanted the icing different colours. They emailed and told me it was to early and to contact them in May that would be enough time so I went into the bakery on May 13 ordered and paid in full for 30 cupcakes and also paid extra for the special icing colours. My mother was going to pick up the cupcakes as they I leave in North Brampton but I needed peanut free cupcakes so ordered them at this place. They never gave us a copy of the order only the debit receipt. My mother went as soon as they opened. They looked for 20 minutes for 30 blue and orange cupcakes and couldn't find them. They never made them and had nothing to show that we order and paid for these. They told my mother it would take 1 hour to bake these cupcakes and ice them. The party started at 12pm in Brampton which would mean my mother would be late to her grandchild's party and there would be 20 children waiting on cupcakes. I asked to speak to someone in charge, they gave me to the baker. She did not apologize for the error only telling me she did not put the order in and was actually quiet rude to me. I had no choice but waited for the cupcakes. The cupcakes were finally done at 11:30 am we had no compenstation for there error, oh wait they gave us 6 extra cupcakes, I never asked for more cupcakes. My mother had to take the 407 and was still late for the party. thank you Cupids cupcakes for your error and not making this right. You are not the only peanut free bakery around, I will not be back and to be honest the cupcakes were not even that great. **** edit to add response*** Thank you nikki for the copy and paste response you sent me. You messaged me on facebook about 10 minutes ago with this same response. I also messaged you back with my phone number but I am still waiting for you to call me. This response is just ridiculous, you are trying to blame the customer for your mistake. Your baker told my mother to come back in an hour, I was on the phone with your baker at 10:20 when she rudely told me she could not get to my order as she was talking to me on the phone. My mom asked the baker if the cupcakes would be ready in 45mins (which would have been 11:00am) your baker said she could not guarantee them for that time and your baker told my mother to come back in an hour. My mother got there at 11:30 and they were still NOT READY she had to sit and wait for the cupcakes so no they were NOT ready for 11:00am. Your baker also said that you would give us a full refund for the order and you DID NOT you just gave us 6 extra cupcakes that I did not ask for. Every year I order cakes from Baskin Robbins which do everything manually as well and I have never had an order go missing from there. There are other peanut free bakeries out there, and I will use them I will never order from your place again. Horrible customer service and this is from the owner herself... SMH

* PEANUT FREE * Cupid's Gourmet Bakery is my "go-to" for desserts for any occasion. Having a severe peanut allergy, it is amazing to find a bakery that I can always trust to be peanut free. I worked in the down town core for many years and had my choice of numerous places that sold cupcakes, and as a result tried many! Once I tasted the cupcakes from Cupid's I was spoiled for anything else - they are delicious and have just the right amount of icing on them. I have since moved from the Halton region but every time I'm back in the area I make a point of stopping at Cupid's for cupcakes. They freeze beautifully therefore I'm able to take them home and enjoy them later. YUMMY!!!!

We've been coming to Cupid's for a while now, but just getting around to sending some praise! The cupcakes take the cake! The cake is moist and rich, and the icing creamy and delicate. Our kids love the Prince and Princess cupcakes - and so great that they are nut free! Whenever we have guests over we try to pick up whatever pie is in season for dessert (and that's one of the selling points - that it is in season or not) - fresh ingredients make all the difference. The Key Lime pie is divine - just tart enough. Strawberry Rhubarb is also a summer family favorite, we look forward to more soon! Such a lovely shop with great, friendly staff. All the stuff is made fresh with good ingredients, you can tell. If you find yourself nearby, it's worth a stop into Cupid's. Don from Toronto :)

I'm going to make this a covid review: I am so impressed with the level of care this bakery had. I hadn't preordered before arriving. When I arrived a friendly worker pointed to the window where there were directions to call in and limit contact. She indicated the desserts that were available right at the window fully labelled. I ordered banana pies. I never had to go in. The debit machine was set up outside with tap. There was hand sanitizer if needed and things like that. I never had to go in. The whole transaction except for getting the bag was essentially contactless! The banana pudding pie was delicious. The filling was great and the pastry was nice too. Well done. Will be back for sure.

I picked up a birthday cake on Jan. 24, 2018. The cake is horrible, frosting is hard like rock and bread inside is dry too. I believe this cake was made 1 week ago. I actually went there 2 two days before 24th to order it. The girl there charged me 50 dollars. I will never go back again. If the owner see my commend and not agree, you can contact me, but this is really the worst cake ever.

For our wedding we sampled cupcakes from all over the GTA, and were thrilled with the options and taste of Cupid's Cupcakes. We still pick them up from both locations whenever we're nearby, and each and every time we are not disappointed. The two hundred guests at our wedding gushed about them afterwards, and every person we introduce Cupid's Cupcakes to becomes a regular customer. You don't need to take my word for it, and I would encourage you to ignore the negative reviews and try them yourself. The quality and flavour speaks for itself!

Ordered 24 cupcakes. Picked the order up and when I got home realized there were only 22. I called and they asked me to come back. I had to drive 20 minutes back across town and they just gave me the 2 I was supposed to have originally. I think a customer service gesture of a free cupcake or a partial refund would have made my experience better. I don't think I'll be returning here.

Very tasty cupcakes - we picked up the Red Velvet, Prince, and Pucker Up for my daughter's birthday party today. Nice to know that they are nut-free as it seems that there are now always few of the children with allergies. Has been, and will continue to be, our Go-to Place for cupcakes to celebrate special occasions. Extra nice to have helpful, friendly service!

We LOVE Cupids. Friendly staff every time, incredible quality (Bananas For Butterscotch are tied with the lemon squares in our family), and great variety. The store is super charming and very clean. Highly recommended for every occasion.

Got the brownies and lemon squares at a work event. The brownies were great, however the lemon squares tasted like dish soap and left a slight burning feeling on my tongue. Not sure if it was a bad batch or the normal taste.

We recently moved from the UK 6 months ago and when it came to my little girl's birthday we had no idea where to get a birthday cake. I searched and found Cupid but I was taking a gamble. I'm so happy we found it! We ordered a 3 layer chocolate frosted cake and it was so fresh and delicious. A cake which looked as good as it tasted! Also really appreciated the ease of ordering. Ordered and paid for online and it was ready to collect as ordered, no need for phone calls or worry. Thank you so much!

I agree with the other posters about cupid's cupcakes. There is nothing "gourmet" about them, it misleading customers. Gourmet mean high end and nothing high end about their products, they are dry and the frostings are gritty and sweet... I came back to check them out again since I lasted been there for over a year ago or so and wasn't impressed then and still not impressed now. In my recent visit, I noticed that they renovated and added new products. It ok, but I actually like the previous decor better. Also I saw their truck out front one time unloading trays of cupcakes, it seem like they made the cupcakes from burlington location and deliver to oakville. I remember see bakers making the cupcakes at the oakville location in the past. They probably change it whenever they added the new product items. They should have renovated the products, not the design of the store. I rather go drive to a better place that is 30 mins away or further away, at least I will get my taste buds and money worth. the review with "FANTASTIC..." seem like the owner of the place wrote that review to deflect other reviews to make their products good when it really isn't. It definitely not the best cupcake shop in the GTA. Even if those other reviews are similar and wrote by the same person. Well I'm a different person and the product really isn't all that to be. I checked out this kate review and saw her link to her design business. Apparently, I assumed she designed cupid's because I saw the pics of the store on her site. So her review is biased and invalid since it probably trying to bring new customers on biased view and drive the customers away from the real truth from the other reviews. Also there is a possibility that the bakery ask her to write a positive review as well. I'm not going back again, I think I'm done

I have tried this place twice because there are a decent amount of high ratings. I don't get it. I am a cupcake fan and have been to many places and honestly think they're terrible. I also agree that I think they're often not fresh. If cakes and pastries is all you sell- if hat is the specialty - they should always, always be fresh. they are dense but they are dry. personally I like something that is not light but lighter than what they put out. My biggest complaint, though, is there is no depth in flavour. Strawberry frosting should taste like strawberries not just sugar, lemon cupcakes are not lemony enough. If you close your eyes you really see that the flavour is really super subtle or flavourless. The first time I went customer service was lousy. second time not so bad. Just a bad product. I love cupcakes so I really wanted to love these. I gave it two stars because they are prettier than anything I could make at home.

They made a cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday, made the icing grey instead of blue (for the sea) and made my husband sign for it. They refused to re-ice it and when I asked for my money back, the manager never even bothered to call me. Terrible service. Do yourself a favor and go to a different bakery for a special event.

Called ahead and was told they close at 7PM. Reached at 7:02. No service. Some lady inside wouldn't even turn around at first. After a few knocks, she did deign to turn around and made wild gestures as if to wave away. Obnoxious, disgraceful. They lost a customer. Not going back and definitely not recommending this place to others. I'd give them a negative star if the option existed. HIGHLY AVOIDABLE. And I just noticed the owner responds only to favourable reviews! Hardly surprising
