This place serves up little morsels of perfection that have a way of making you feel good about life. The staff is incredibly sweet and knowledgeable and provide outstanding service. My family has tried many many things in the store from pastries to sweets to food to their spectacular cakes, and EVERYTHING has exceeded our expectations - including my mother's high standards and that in itself a grand task as she's an amazing chef! Keep up the fantastic work and see you again very soon!

The only item we enjoyed was their namesake Casa Romana chocolate cake. The other items, including cheesecake and pastries, are way too sweet, masking the other flavours. You don't taste almond where there should be almond, nor espresso, nor fruit. Would we come back? No. Should you try? Yes, try their Casa Romana cake. The other ones you are better off getting from another bakery.

We we're excited to have a cafe/bakery open up in this neighborhood, but were not wowed with this place. Decent Italian pastries (one of our flaky pastries was a bit on the moist/soggy side). Decor is traditional Italian finishes, so don't expect modern coffee shop. They probably do really great cakes for events bases on what we could see. Not a place we would go back to, but can understand why some would enjoy.

I have been too this place once before and found the desserts very delicious as their lattes ,cappuccino. Today I decided to bring some people for the first time. When we arrived two ladies were sitting enjoy their hot beverages . And one couple ahead of us in line being served . There were two staff behind the counter one serving the customer ahead and the other no idea what she was doing. It felt like no one seemed to want to take cere of the customers During this time about 8 more people enter the store and third woman who worked there began moving the display cakes from front of store to behind the counter amidst the people in line and no one in this location saying Hi or we will be with you shortly . Time kept passing and not one word said while everyone in line patiently waited. This lady re arranging the display cakes continued to do so and at one point taking the one girl serving the first customer away from the to help her arrange the display cakes. Leaving no one took tend to the customers in line. Then another staff code from the back to our more sweets in the display case then returns to the back . A gentleman dame from the back then proceeded to talk to the two ladies who were sitting already talking on to them. He then proceeded to the front of store to change the tv to the tennis game While many people wait in line for service . Even the customer in front of us asked his wife why is it taking so long ... With 5 staff members there no one seemed to care about the customers in line The first time people with me said that let’s just go as no one seemed to really care about the customers and off we left with no one in he store saying one word... I gave this place 3 stars only because of the good lattes and sweets we had before. If I could recommend one thing to the staff is , welcome your customers , acknowledge them communicate you will be with them shortly . What is not as important ...re arranging display cakes when there are people in line patiently waiting to be served . Not leave one staff to tend to all the customers in line then have them assist with rearranging display cakes leaving no one serving the customers especially when there were numerous people working in the store who could assist help the customers s

Nothing special. Langosh is terrible, dry and old. I also don't understand why there are foods uncovered next to the cash; makes the food dry and is unsanitary. The coffee was okay. The place itself is nice and a good atmosphere. But I probably won't come again because of the food/dessert quality.

Excellent desserts and has always been good. .. except for recently being next in line and having friends of the staff jump the line. Knowing exactly what we wanted and waiting close to 10 minutes as the friends shopped and chatted was not great.

Lovely cozy cafe! When I entered I just wondered how lovely it would be if the seating was available. Anyways they are open only 2 days a week ( during lockdown). We went on a Saturday and they were open but had limited options to choose from. The sandwiches were not available. Latte and cappuccino was good. They did have the chicken schnitzel for a $1.50 and was small and tasted good. We took a couple of items from the dessert- overall seemed a little pricey but good taste.

This is one of my favourite bakeries in Oakville! Mousse cakes are the best here!!! The breads are also very tasty and even look delicious. Actual place is very authentic nice and cosy. So sad they are working only by order for take-outs recently..

Very nice and cozy little place with it's own charm. Staff is very friendly and will cater as well to specific request. Their main focus is on deserts but they have expanded also into other traditional Romanian foods like cabbage rolls and potato salad. Accesible entrance and washroom. Free parking.

Beautiful, elegant, and comfortable atmosphere. There is a very European inspired feel, the staff is very friendly and willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. The desserts are always fantastic quality and stunningly presented. The pastries are fresh, and the bread is the best I've ever had. The menu offers breakfast and lunch options such as paninis and soups, beautifully presented crepes, and a various selection of desserts. They also offer beautifully crafted drinks from a detailed, lengthy menu. Very impressive for a bakery/ cafe that's only been open for a couple months!

One of those little "hidden jewels" stores that can pleasantly surprise you once you go inside. Lots of good things, mostly of Romanian origin. Pastries, cakes, sweets, fresh bread, beavertail (langos) - all very delicious. Various foods and sweets can also be ordered in advance.

What an adorable little cafe! When trying cappuccinos or lattes, I always look for that authentic re-creation of coffee in Italy. This location is one of the closest onss! We both loved the latte and cappuccino we got. The taste was fantastic! I would go out of my way to have coffee here once the cute indoor seating is open. The price is incredible for a handcrafted beverage. We did not try the pastry or bread offerings. I expect I will at my next visit as this cafe is definitely one to become a regular spot for me. Fulfills all the things I seek...clean Mom&Pop shop, incredible taste and quality, quiet.

I went to Casa Romana because I was told that they had great cabbage rolls. As luck would have it, they were just finishing off a batch. I ordered 2 containers of them and while I was there, picked up some of their yummy looking deserts. I sat and had a triple chocolate mousse with a caramel macchiato as a mid afternoon pick me up. It was exquisite! Later that evening I served the cabbage rolls.... Delectable! Will definitely go back again and again!

Just opened so there is some learning to be done but I went for the macaron's and the shell was really hard and tasted like pure sugar with no chewness to it at all. Very disappointed...I left 4 in my fridge only eating 1 which never happens. My sandwich and soup were ok.... sandwich was cooked too long but that was because they forgot about it with them being brand new and not in the groove yet, I'm sure that will improve

I love coming here to get my Romanian sweets and try other European desserts! Their papanasi and langosi are very comparable and close to the ones I eat in Romania. Their staff is very friendly, knowledgable and always have smiles on their faces. I also love the atmosphere and decorations in this cafe, I can really tell the owners pay close attention to detail and want their customers to feel very comfortable and welcome.

They catered our cake for our small church wedding last August. They happily worked around our budget. These ladies we're so sweet and amazing. We received a lot of compliments. We picked their signature cake, the Casa Romana. Our guest loved it, it was a nice change from your typical wedding cake flavor. We can't wait to visit again ????

ordered a triple chocolate mousse cake and 75 plain crepes for a small event we hosted (20 ppl). communication was great prior to pick-up - friendly, informative and accommodating. they weren't able to do the cake topper we wanted in a way that fit our budget, so instead they decorated the cake with a mix of berries and dark chocolate, all included in the original price. that was a very nice gesture. as for the desserts themselves, they were delicious! for anyone unaware, the crepes are humongous lol will be a repeat customer myself and have recommended/will recommend to others

Fantastic new place in Oakville. The coffee was expertly made, we had an americano and an iced latte. All of the pastries and cakes look amazing. What really made his place stand out was the service, it is counter ordering but shortly into our "breakfast", we were asked if everything was ok. Excelent ca întotdeauna! I have had the pleasure of ordering the "Casa Romana" cake a few times in the past and also certain varieties of pastries. Casa Romana maintains high quality! All the staff members that I interacted with were very friendly, respectful, polite and prompt in customer service (on the phone as well as in-person) and in all my visits there, I also get to practice my elementary Romanian language proficiency with some of them who also reciprocate in a friendly manner! I wish that Casa Romana opens more branches across the GTA and I wish them a lot more success! Mulțumesc foarte mult și iubesc România.

Always check what's in the bag, especially around busy time (X-mas). They missed to put in my bag 1 item but they charged me for it. They promised a refund which never came. Prepared food (salads) are salty, the salt quantity should be adjusted for the general use, not for the taste of the person that is preparing the salad. Does the store consider that there are people that don't eat salty? Christmas 2021 order experience was disappointing and I do not plan to go back to the store.

My fiance and I ordered a beautiful custom cake from this bakery for our recent engagement party. It was actually my mom who first found this bakery online, and she was sold once she saw all the rave reviews, and stunning cake designs and photos. Casa Romana did not disappoint. Cristina and her partner did an incredible job from start to finish, in order to ensure that we got the vision we were hoping for. Everyone at our party was in awe at how gorgeous this cake was, and it tasted amazing. I would highly recommend this bakery to anybody, and will definitely be back.
