My husband and I tried this place on a whim, and were so impressed! We got their Portuguese tarts, meat rolls, and deep fried pastry (similar to a beaver tail) and thoroughly enjoyed each one. Their Portuguese tarts are by far the best I’ve ever had! So creamy and flaky! I must also note that the staff behind the counter went out of their way to help us and took time recommending their products. Great customer service, great products, and definitely a great small business worth supporting. We will definitely be back some more!

Everything in this bakery is delicious! Their donuts are hands down the best we’ve ever had. The only down fall and the biggest frustration from regulars in the neighbourhood is the wait time to be served. There’s only 1 register and generally only 1 person taking orders in the morning so bring your patience.

This Portuguese bakery offers many delicious baked goods; a good variety of bread loaves, toast breads, baguette, tea biscuits, bagels, strudel, donuts, turnovers, cannolis, Portuguese tart (Pasteis De Nata), cheesecake, cake, etc. Inside the store smells really nice! especially in the mornings. Donuts are very delicious, dough is soft, moist and chewy, the fillings and toppings are perfectly balanced. I really loved the cannolis, too. It would definitely be my go to for baked goods.

I ordered online, paid by credit card and friend of mine picked up my order, claiming I never paid so she had to pay. I emailed bakery, called several times...not one person call me back or reply to my email. The owner nor staff has bothered but after few days, my friend went in and got her refund, thankfully! But after a week , still no calls. Very unprofessional and not good for business to not contact me. I will not order from them again. The only reason I gave them 2 stars because their mini cheesecakes were amazing.

Went in to get a coffee and a croissant. The cappuccino was fine but the croissant... boy oh boy. It was literally (dry) bread dough shaped as a croissant. Absolutely zero traces of layers nor butter! The correct naming for that unconventional product would be "croissant shaped bread". Imagine selling champagne and serving stale sparkling water.

Wow!!! Read a lot of great reviews about this place so I decided to give it a shot....and oh boy I’m glad I did...TWICE so far. Tried their raspberry cheesecake the first time which was amazing. A few days ago, I decided to try their gigantic donuts. Got the glazed and the apple fritter (and the sprinkle donut for my kids). Size was HUGE...and the taste out of this world. Will definitely be visiting sooooon. I still have to try their amazing looking breads and cakes.

This place always has the best baked goods! I like to buy bread/buns from them to make sandwiches, but I end up eating them on their own instead because they’re so good! And, of course, I love the sweets. Their savoury options are nice too. They have great variety. Another wonderful thing about this place is their customer service. They’re always friendly and do all they can to keep their customers happy. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

Love the variety of their fresh breads! There’s always a few unique breads I haven’t tried before like ones with jalapeño and cranberries. I’ve also had a lot of their donuts and pastries which are amazing and have been a big hit when I’ve brought them to get togethers. Small little bakery located in a small plaza. Staff is super friendly. And food is delicious. As there aren't many bakeries in Oakville, definitely visit if you're looking for some fresh bread and pastries. I had a terrible experience. I ordered a cake 2 days ago and specifically asked for a personalized birthday wish. When I arrived at the time specified the cake was not ready. I had to wait for the owner to come back to the store and add the birthday greeting. When I received the cake there was a generic happy birthday even though I was specific with what I wanted on the cake. When I asked for this to changed the owner had already left (WOW) and had no choice but to take the cake since I was on my way to his party. I am so disappointed. I have never given my dad a generic impersonal birthday cake. So Disappointed. Next time I will go back to the larger stores in the area where I have never experienced this. Aveiro you really blew it!

The donuts are amazing! Big in size and not too sweet. The Bola Berlin donut is the best! Sugary donut with whip cream-like filling. They have fresh breads in the morning, wide selection! Tried the sourdough bread and it’s nice and fluffy, moist and chewy. They also have canoli and pastel de nata, which I haven’t tried. They also have cupcakes.

Be sure to ask Customer service: good Price: slightly higher than chain stores but consistent with small businesses Parking: plenty Verdict: have been buying bread/pastries over there for nearly 2 years now. Their loaf is great and taste way better than the ones sold in walmarts/superstores etc. Found out that their pao de avo size have become smaller since COVID started. Hopefully its a temporary situation. Good people, local business, makes a decent effort at customer service= they have my business.

I was recently looking online for a place to pick up some warm food and some sweet treats. I was very fortunate to come across Aveiro Bakery. We called and ordered several items including shrimp croquettes, salt cod fritters, sundried tomato loaf, small Portugese rolls, Portugese Cheese, malasadas, (sweet fried dough), cinnamon roll, and a couple other sweets. The woman who took our order was very friendly, answered our questions and said she could have our order packed and ready fresh the next morning for pick up when my husband was in the area to get them. Well they had everything on the list, warm, fresh and packed to go. He even grabbed a layered pastry treat to take with him. He said he was greeted very warmly, saw many delicious choices around the bakery, both sweet and savory. They took the time to explain to him all the things he saw, (he's not Portugese), and never rushed him before he decided to pick something for him to add to the order I had previously selected. Well the verdict is we will definitely be coming back. The service between the two ladies, (phone and in person) was friendly and informative, the prices are good and the food and sweets were absolutely delicious! Keep up the amazing work and thanks again Aveiro Bakery!! Muito Obrigado!! ????

Was driving by this plaza and stopped by to go into the connivence store. Was waking by this place and seen a massive line up inside. So my curiosity led me in and came to know that this is a very well known bakery. Spoke to the owner and she was very pleasant and helpful. She suggested that I get their almond cookie, coffee, pizza bread and apple fritter. Once I sad down outside their patio and enjoyed both the food and weather. Highly recommended!!!

Love this bakery!!! The Portuguese Sweet Bread is absolutely light and delicious. The Portuguese Tarts are mmmmmmm yummm! And just tried the Apple Coffeecake with chunks of apple in it....so light and moist! Great selection of baked goods, everything is really tasty, especially the fish pastries, I'm not sure what they are called in Portuguese, but man the shrimp ones lightly heated up are great! The danishes are full of a fresh fruit filling and it's a good portion of filling and not to sweet. The cheese bread is great for making grilled cheese sandwiches and their raisin bread with walnuts is delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
