Smaller NSLC, but has what you're looking for, that is unless it's a specialty item. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, always close if you have a question or need a recommendation. Thankfully this location DOES NOT sell cannabis, so no worries about the stench when you walk in the door. Only downside is parking, there are 5 spots (only 1 is a handicapped parking space) outside the entrance/exit, the rest is technically Sobeys parking lot, so be prepared to walk a bit to your car, and be careful not to drop the alcohol!! ????

I have always been pleased with the friendliness and service at the Spryfield Sobeys store. Today, I was experiencing issues with the on-line airmiles app, and the manager, Kim, went above and beyond to help rectify the problem. In general, I have always found the store to be clean and well-stocked, and they fully "stepped up to the plate" during the pandemic.

Today I was directed to "provide your bag if you want it filled". My reusable under the shopping places on it so had to retrieve it. I actually had to bag the items myself. No please or thank you used in the transaction. The cashier couldn't wait to get back to using her phone. The customer service in this store is horrendous.

Really like grocery shopping here, they have a fish and meat counter, as well as a lot of selection you won't find at the other nearby grocery stores. Though, they don't have a lot of selection in terms of international foods. Prices are pretty decent for the most part, they have sales on common items pretty frequently. Noticed that you have stopped the diced onions &celery. This was perfect for SENIORS living alone. Also suggest you package leeks differently. A SENIOR making a pot of soup would only use TWO. Meaning the other TWO would be wasted. Also why have you stopped having pork dinner sausages (or bangers)). Blood pudding or blood sausage is available at Petes in Bedford why dont you have it in Sobeys?

The hand sanitizer you offer as a covid prevention at your entrance is way to perfumed , I don't have a sensitivity to sented product but this stuff is way to much, had to shower to get it off my hands after try to wash it off 3 times and it gave me a headache for the rest of my day.

Only 2 stars because of deceptive practices common to many Sobey's stores. Maybe it is Sobey's chain policy, but I've also noticed it at Superstore. The problem? The store often sells inedible produce at sale prices without it being obvious from appearance that the produce is defective. Example #1: bought nice looking bartlett pears but they won't ripen… after a week at room temperature they are still hard and sour. Example #2: apples sold at a sale price… look good from the outside and firm to touch, but going bad on the inside. This has happened numerous times and always with produce that is on sale but not listed in the flyer. Stuff on sale in the flyer seems to be ok. So… buyer beware! Sometimes I return items but that is not possible with COVID-19 "no returns" restrictions nowadays.

Average mid sized grocery store with attached liquor store. Produce reasonably fresh and selection as expected. More costly but less depressing than the No Frills around the corner.

It's good. Just like every other Sobeys in HRM. Fresh produce guaranteed. Varieties of breads are available. Huge parking lot. Convenient location for Spryfield and Herring Cove Road residents.
