Even at its busiest its still easy to get around and staff is always friendly. A hidden gem for grocery stores in my opinion. The NSLC Express at this location is great as well.

We love this Sobey's!! The staff are helpful and friendly and Jenn, one of the cashier's, remembers our daughter by name and makes a point to say hello to her every time we are there. Our daughter looks for her and only wants her to ring us through, which can be a problem when we have more than 12 items ;) She refers to Sobey's first lake as "Jenn's Sobey's" :) And LOVE that there is now an NSLC too!

I prefer the Downsview Sobeys as it seems to offer a slightly larger selection and has self checkouts. The NSLC at Downsview is also a full store compared to an express store at First Lake.

It's so chill and relaxed, you can go in your pjs. Cashiers like it when you offer high fives. Food to go counter could use some an upgrade of friendly staff. They always have to be beckoned.

Nice and clean store. Smaller then the one on Sackville drive but never as busy. Only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is the service from the deli and store made area is usually a hassle

This is my local Sobeys, I go here when I need to pick something up quick. The staff are helpful and they are fairly quick at the cash. I often find what I need, so they seem to keep stocked.

My favourite Sobeys. Everyone is friendly, always clean and well organized. Lots of samples given out. I like that it’s a little smaller - everything is much easier to find than in most of the other much larger stores.

Friendly helpful staff. I find there are usually more registers open here than other locations, one of which always seems to be the 12 items or less express. The little attached NSLC has dramatically improved their selection.

This is a good location, there is enough selection to suit your tastes. Would love to see 2 tier carts for easier loading without crushing the 1st items picked out

Great store, great location, great deals, friendly staff. There has always been a high pitch whine (dog whistle) when I am in the produce area possibly comming from the deli. The whine has on occasion made me trek further to superstore to shop to avoid the headache caused by this whine. My (50+) mother doesn't hear this whine while I (27) do whenever I am there. I hope this is addressed!

That girl in the Deli is great, I think her name is Haley. she is so friendly every time we go in to get our groceries. She always sells us something on sale, I was not planning to buy, and she is right, it's great! I love going there and spending our Grocery budget because the people that work there are happy and seem to enjoy their work! We all have to shop for food, so why not shop where it is making a positive impact in so may peoples lives, in your own community? Sobey's First Lake, First on our list! The layout of this store is a little confusing...the milk is in 2 different spots and the honey is with the peanutbutter rather than with the natural sweeteners. Thankfully the staff is super friendly and helpful :)

Hire more cashiers! If I had a nickel for each time I walked into this Sobey's location, tried to pick up a prepared sandwich and get to the line to face 30 people with packed carts and one lonely Sobey's cashier. Nothing like taking 5 seconds to pick up what you want then waiting 35 min in line so you can pay for it.
