Hard to find fresh fruit and vegetables here. I’ve seen products past the expiration date still on shelves and brought it to a workers attention and it was still there a couple days later. I stopped going here and started using the one in Clayton Park which is miles ahead.

Great Sobeys. Friendly staff and lots of selection. Sales are frequent and well displayed so finding deals is very easy. Its attached to an NSLC too for more of a one-stop shop experience. Appliance section is a little lacking (as of April 2018). Located right off the highway so very convenient for anyone in the Lary Uteck area.

Even though this store is pretty new, I think they underestimated how many people would be shopping there and how many housing developments are popping up in the area. The store is often low on stock and looks cleaned out by any afternoon. It's also smaller with less selection than either the Tantallon or Bedford branches. Don't get me wrong though, it has for long been the most convenient grocery store for me to get to and I've grabbed many a last minute item from there. It really has a very convenient location right off the highway so I will likely keep shopping there

The main entrance is a bottleneck at the produce section and should be changed. bottleneck at the main entrance must be changed. All it takes is one shopper to stop to create a blockage that ends up out the door. Also the maze created by POS islands do nothing to facilitate ease of shopping at this store. I shopped at a very busy time of day 4pm and nearly got run down by shoppers' carts twice. I try to avoid this store as much as possible.

I'm conflicted. I like the wide marked parking stalls but I dislike the self check out in the store. It's loud for when it thinks you're stealing or putting something in the baggage area before it understands but when it says the price of a scanned item, the volume is so low it's like are they trying to pull one over on me. I'm sure the corporate number crunchers figured this is best way for higher revenue "if they can't hear the price how do they know it was ever on sale"....hehehe

As someone who used to work at Sobeys I'm always disappointed in the bakery section- particularly cakes/cupcakes/cookies section. It looks okay (it's always full) but definitely not the variety of items that entice me to buy. Plus the prices for half a cake are outrageous. Cookies are always too dark. Also makes me mad that fruit trays sell the cream cheese dip separately for an extra couple of dollars. I bought a veggie tray and fruit tray and weighed both when I got home and both were underweight (including the packaging that would be zeroed).

It is Sobey's. We do not have many grocery stores to choose from in Nova Scotia but when looking for fresh vegetables there are only a few go to places and Sobey's is one of them. The stores are fairly well organized and now with COVID, it is not as busy as usual so a quick pop in for a few things is usually a fast trip.
